Timothée Chalamet promo:

LOL -- He doesn't have to say it for you to know it. I remember he did some stupid photo op during his first term, and that man doesn't even know how to hold a Bible respectfully, he's definitely never read it! Not to mention, he's been directly asked about his favorite parts of the Bible and, of course, he couldn't give a proper answer. ------ As to the U.S. being united question: Miracle on the Hudson? Various Olympic victories for the nation?

😠 I know Trump has no morals, but how can anyone else be okay with this? No matter which 'side' you're on? PEOPLE DIED.

Okay, so I wouldn't say this is "hilarious"; more like a tiny moment of humor I appreciated in a film that is definitely not a comedy: So in Looper, lead character Joe is facing off with his older self (yes, there's time travel and other sci-fi themes) in a diner, and for context, it's been established that he has been trying to learn French: Old Joe: *Says something in fluent French* Young Joe: ?? Old Joe: "No? You'll get it eventually. ... Obviously." *kermit sip* Yeah, it's a small thing, but it did get a chuckle out of me at the time, and I thought Bruce Willis nailed the delivery.

I guess I'm in the minority that did not notice anyone's crotch in particular?

I know Kamala lost the election; but I'm still surprised Maya disappeared off the show after that. I'd love to see Maya's Kamala at least one more time.

Showrunner interview at TV Insider: excerpts:

Kind of a busy episode; I'll have to re-watch, cause I might have missed a couple things? I did chuckle at them playing their usual end-of-episode music montage when there was like, still ten minutes left to go. Of course another twist (or three) was coming. And yes, it was a clever twist that the missing person was actually a witness being protected. ... Which made it extra annoying that Gabi was barging in yelling at Trent for doing his job. Look, I actually don't mind that Gabi is a messy, flawed protagonist, but they don't need to keep adding more reasons to side-eye her. I did appreciate that Lacey yelled at her about confronting Sir alone. Hopefully Gabi stops doing that. I think I'm about ready for a different type of Cop Character for the show; because I'm getting tired of the sometimes adversarial, sometimes not dynamic of Gabi/Trent/the Team. Either a.) someone who is always helpful and on board with M&A's shenanigans; or b.) someone who strictly business, with no personal ties or loyalty to M&A. I know it's likely a cost-saving thing, but it's getting weird that ALL the Young Gabi/Young Lacey flashbacks are in the same room. So Trent's father is somehow connected to a serial kidnapper?? (Or something??) Interesting that there was nothing said about Dhan's shooter. I assume they'll get into it next week? I'm guessing somehow Sir was involved.
-
I re-watched the last few episodes; and I'll admit it's been interesting to see Sir interact with other people besides Gabi. However, it's still ridiculous that he keeps getting close to the team and not getting caught. He really needs to be locked up by the end of the season -- or sooner.

Ha! I thought that was Michelle Harrison in a promo pic; it's a Flash reunion! I did like that this wasn't a typical murder-of-the-week type of case. And it was nice to have a few scenes with Alec in the classroom. You know, his actual primary job. Couple of nitpicks: Rizwan and NewGuy hanging out watching the mob get crazy instead of just getting out of there. 2.) The way it played out, I don't think they needed the genuine artifact to trap the thief. I hate when the plot hinges on a someone who has been smart and has already gotten away with everything to suddenly act stupid, but then I guess this is called The Irrational. Marissa's sideplot was fine; I just don't really care.

It was a mini The Flash reunion on this week's episode (Season 2, Ep. 9) of The Irrational; with Michelle Harrison (Nora Allen) guest starring.

Say What?: Commercials That Made Us Scratch Our Heads
Trini replied to Lola16's topic in Commercials
I haven't seen this ad; but it reminds of a campaign years ago by Weight Watchers(?) where the 'bad guy' was the Hungry Monster -- except the "monster" was a cute little orange fuzzy muppet that followed you around offering you snacks. What's not to love?? -
When a recovering drug addict goes missing, his girlfriend turns to M&A, but interference from outside forces complicates their investigation. Sir uncovers a shocking secret about one of M&A's allies. One of the team members is critically injured. Airdate: January 16, 2025

Still Not Over It : Movie Deaths
Trini replied to spaceytraci1208's topic in Everything Else About Movies
It's an intense/devastating scene anyway, but it's a VERY intense/devastating scene considering it's in a kid's movie. Also The Lion King is one of the few Disney and/or kid's movies where the child confronts the parent's corpse directly onscreen, so ... yeah. -
The "Nothing Cake" doesn't sound edible?? Or is that the joke? Nevermind, I missed a couple of ingredients when I skimmed over the recipe the first time.
-
She still might be? I'm still thinking it's a possibility because of the "not what they seem" hint.
-
Is it really a "love triangle" if Gabi and Trent haven't really been a thing for most of the two seasons so far?
-
Fairly spoilery, so putting this showrunner interview here: https://www.tvinsider.com/1170380/found-returns-gabi-sir-trent-heather-love-triangle/ Some excerpts relating to future developments:
-
Oh, I forgot about that. Yeah, when he was a regular on The Flash, for like a half-season (or longer?) he was either absent, or minimally there, and then when he was there he was always sitting. Then his screentime got reduced in general after that. I'd have to go look up which season it was. ... And it was Season 4, apparently. (Dang- thought it was later)

Always nice to have Rose around; although I would have preferred her and Alec rather than her and Marissa, but that pairing worked fine for this episode. Thought it was pretty ridiculous that they wrote in a forest fire just so Marissa and Rose would be the only ones searching for the missing woman. I think they were trying to address that by having Alec be bedridden for most of the episode. He was still running experiments and interviewing people, though. Definitely shoehorned in; but they have been trying to different ways to better incorporate them this season. However, most of the time the assistants and the experiments still feel completely unnecessary.
