Commercials That Annoy, Irritate or Outright Enrage
Trini replied to Maverick's topic in Commercials
Yes, I've seen one of those ads, and I was like - 'That's not how that works.' -
They actually haven't given us much info, but he was a prisoner of war held captive for months(?) at least.

I was about to be mad about no Kenan, but then he showed up for 2 minutes. Wow, this one was pretty heavy with celebrity impressions. I think I would have enjoyed the Digital Short if they were singing about something else. Wondering that myself.

Charli xcx hosts and performs on Saturday Night Live on November 16, 2024.

Or just more Kylie in general. They need to have more of her and Alec as well.

M&A investigates a hate crime when an activist disappears. Airdate: November 14, 2024

This episode was fine, I guess. Still not paying attention to whatever's going on with the research assistants. All the additional steps the sorority sisters supposedly took to make the victims death look like a suicide was dumb. But it was great to see Meg de Lacy again!

We don't know yet. Sir mentioned the name when he talked with his brother a couple episodes ago.

Well, this might be weird after 3 seasons; Luca is being re-cast. I'm guessing the twins had a growth spurt? and Luca's still only supposed to be like eight. https://tvline.com/casting-news/the-cleaning-lady-yancey-arias-season-4-cast-1235375969/ Also casting info on a new character:

2.06 synopsis: Rolling my eyes at Colter coming across yet another serial killer; but what Justin said about Colter's interaction with this new ex-cop character could be interesting.
-
The team investigates a missing girl named Gabi Mosley, but question the motivations behind her disappearance. Dhan tries to rally M&A back together. Margaret faces a setback in her search for Jamie. Sir takes interest in a missing persons case. Airdate: November 7, 2024

FilmNight: Movies you watched recently
Trini replied to Rushmoras's topic in Everything Else About Movies
I've been checking out foreign films on Tubi, and I came across The Royal Tailor (Sanguiwon). It's a gorgeous and compelling Korean historical drama with a plot centered on fashion/dressmaking. There's also palace intrigue, professional rivalries, and a tiny bit of romance. Would recommend. Knowing more about Korean history and clothes would probably fill out the context more; but it's not really necessary to follow along, IMO. The story is pretty straightforward. -
LOL! Artistically "censored" promo with Bill Burr and Marcelo:
-
I feel like in theory, if they were actually serious about making a Harley/Joker musical it would have been fine (polarizing for sure, though); but yeah, that's not what happened here.
-
Well, if we're posting reaction vids; HISHE living up to its name with this one:
-
The only memorable thing about Bill Burr's last appearance was his monologue; hopefully he does better post-Covid.
-
Glad some of y'all enjoyed it, but I might be taking a break from the show. Not that this needs to be sunshine and jokes all the time, but let me know when it's less of a downer. I'm tired of Colter somehow stumbling onto yet another crime and/or murder conspiracy every single week. Especially since he's supposedly not even in law enforcement. (I realize this is a 'me' problem; I guess I'm tired of "murder-of-the-week" shows. But also, I didn't think this was a MOTW show before, but I guess that's what TPTB want it to be.)
-
I think she's supposed to be bi. She was having a relationship with a woman the previous two seasons; but there has also been mentions of a ex-husband and previous relationships with men.
-
Oh, forgot a nitpick: apparently there is only one place for custom makeup -- in NYC of all places! LOL I know it's not the first time they've done something like this, but that scene did seem a bit out of character for the show.
-
I admit that I wasn't really paying attention to the case of the week. Having Harry out in the field more is an interesting change. I hate that Dante is off away from everyone, and not having much to do; but I did appreciate that they didn't forget about his boys. New love interest for Aunt Vi? Could be interesting. With Mel taking a break from equalizing, maybe she can get a subplot with Vi sometime? No real fashion highlights for me; although I did like Robyn and Harry's outfits.
-
LOL! It's at the point that whenever I hear "safehouse" I reflexively roll my eyes.

Harry goes undercover in a surprising role to help McCall search for a woman with a secret online persona. Meanwhile, Mel decides to go to therapy and tries her hand at songwriting as a way to heal her trauma. Airdate: November 3, 2024

Yep.
