  1. 😭 Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten about that. Not that I'm any good at predicting this stuff, but I think they can still squeeze out another season after this one. CBS tends to hang on to its established shows. It might depend on how good new show, Watson does.

It's giving - 'Snow White & the Huntsman' vibes, with 'rally the troops and take the kingdom back'. Did they delete the prince from the story? Yeah, there's a love interest there, who I assume gives the 'true love's kiss', but is he supposed to be the Prince? I do like the little bit of the new song for Zegler that they played. I could nitpick, but overall Snow White and the evil Queen look fine; the problem is that they want to match the costumes to the look from the animated version, and I don't think what looked fine in 2D 80+ years ago looks good on an actual human now. Sorry, not sold on Gadot as the Evil Queen; especially compared to the several better live action versions that have come before her. Not really sold on the CGI dwarves either; but I don't think there was any perfect solution, no matter which way Disney went with them. Probably too late now, but IMHO, if Disney wants this to do well they need(ed) to (make) market this for the kids and family market; not the nostalgia market.
  3. Ha! Yeah, I forgot to mention that. If you know anything about black hairstyling, it was extra ridiculous. Not to mention, Robyn putting back on the exact same outfit at the end for some reason! (I know the BTS reasons.)
  4. Nope; it was introduced in the Season 2 premiere.
  5. I wish this show (but it's a general problem for most procedurals) wouldn't feel the need to have everything wrapped up within a day -- or actually just hours with the way they present things. Like, I know the formula - bad guy caught/day saved/problem solved by our heroes - but the timelines are just ridiculous. Robyn being admitted into the prison in the morning, and ending up in a deathmatch with the exact person she was looking for before dinner just made me roll my eyes. But I did like that it was a new and different setting; I wish they had spent a little more time on that than Delilah's B-plot. Ugh - I don't even want to comment anymore. These writers truly suck when it comes to Robyn/Dante. Speaking of Dante; he's really being underused this season. I'd like them to bring him back to New York and have him be an official full-time member of the team, but then they'd actually have to have some progress/status update with Robyn/Dante, so I doubt that's going to happen. I don't mind Aunt Vi's storyline, but that new friend character is not her friend! 😂 No fashion highlights; but I did like the two braided hairstyles for Robyn.
  6. There's another one?? I've only seen the one for Target.
  7. I guess this one falls under "wackadoodles" -- That Tim Chalamet Lookalike contest spawned a whole bunch of copycats; I assume to try and replicate the same viral fame, or to get the celebrity to show up. (I had heard about a couple of these before, but I'm only posting about it now because someone else compiled a list, LOL.) It looks like the only one that managed any direct celebrity response was the Glen Powell one.
  8. It's new, so I'd go Media. ::shrug::
  9. Can anyone help with this random bit of trivia that resurfaced in my brain?? I'm looking for the episode or host. There was an episode where a major cast member was leaving, and every sketch was a sketch with this castmember's most famous characters. And I just can't think of which castmember it was! I want to say that it was sometime pre-Andy Samberg, if that helps at all. And I'm pretty sure it was a male castmember, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
  10. Heh -- literally:
  11. Trailer #2:
  12. And another: 'Charlie Rose Settles Sexual Harassment Suit With Three Ex-Employees '
  13. Proper trailer:
  14. I never really watched House, but I can already see the comparisons coming.
  15. This seems to be the season of settling.... I'm pretty sure this had been brought up here before?: Marilyn Manson drops defamation lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood, and will pay her 6-digit legal fees.
  16. Of course the most famous guest star was the mastermind. Never change, CBS! This was an interesting case of the week (even though there were several farfetched things, as per usual). And even though there was a lot of exposition, I think that it was justified in this case. I don't know if 'forecasting for hire' companies actually exist, but I like the idea as presented here, and to me, it seems like a concept they could come back to later. (Maybe Alec or the RAs could work there or consult?) Thought they did good with having Kylie be part of the CoTW, since lately she hasn't been connected to the A-plots. Near the beginning, I knew the appeal to the Rail CEO wasn't going to work because she was thinking as a (of the) corporation, not as a person; based on the experiment they referenced. The issue is, why didn't the characters know that?
  17. Update to the update: 'Disney To Pay Out $43M In Pay Equity Class Action Deal, Will Bring Outside Consultants Onboard To Check Practices'
  18. Yeah, they can fit the role to the actor, I know. They had time to put that in the press release.
  19. I don't think they use specific character descriptions (especially guest/recurring cast) to sell to foreign markets. I'm sure the writers* have a specific nationality for whatever crime organization; but that having vague "Asian" in the press release is just sloppy, and I might expect that from any other show except this one. *(Or maybe they don't? There is a new showrunner.)
  20. More Season 4 casting: ‘The Cleaning Lady’ Adds Daniel Bonjour & Alain Uy "The 'Asian' Mob"?? Hope they can narrow that down to one country by the time the show comes back....
  21. I'll take it as a positive sign that Fisk's death wasn't mentioned at all, and didn't affect anything. Points for creativity I guess, but I thought this was one of the more silly cases of the week. The guy really didn't seem important enough for anyone to go through the trouble to murder him. Um, did we know Dante had a living mother?? That was still married to his dad?? Is this the first time we've seen her? Everything about his family before has been his father, his sons, or his ex-wife. I guess one could assume he had a mom, but I don't think she had been mentioned or seen until this episode; so it was kind of a shock that she was suddenly here and talking about divorce (Ben had a wife??). Either these writers/showrunners don't want to write to write romance, or just suck at it (or both!), so I wish they would just stop the teasing with Robyn/Dante - even though I'd like to see them together - because they clearly don't have the motivation to have them actually be a couple. Thought the side plots for Dee and Aunt Vi were good. Obviously glad that they didn't give Aunt Vi cancer. And I recognized the area where they shot the HBCU step team performing; I used to intern/work around that neighborhood! Thanks; I must have missed when they mentioned that; I was wondering why Harry had a cast at the end. Fashion Highlights: "Sparkle" seemed to be the theme for the episode. I liked Mel's metallic outfit; but I think it's hilarious that she's back to wearing clubbing/runway clothes now that she's back on the team! Also liked Aunt Vi's hoodie with the sequin detailing.
  22. Guess this was bound to happen since they decided that this triangle is a thing now: https://tvline.com/lists/911-lone-star-series-finale-spoilers-sierra-mcclain-grace-missing/yellowjackets-bonus-episode-cancelled/
  23. A couple of promo photos here: '‘Watson’ First Look: Morris Chestnut as the Iconic Doctor'
  24. 'Jonathan Majors’ Ex-Girlfriend Settles Assault and Defamation Lawsuit '
  25. The team investigates who is trying to put a hit on a stand-up comedian. Also, McCall grapples with her feelings for Dante, who is still in town deciding how to proceed with Big Ben, and Delilah continues her college search. Airdate: November 24, 2024
