I watched about 35 minutes of it before bailing. I can enjoy a show like this if the actors are at least charming and charismatic. I saw no charm or charisma here. These characters are of course supposed to be very arrogant and that in itself can be charming in a Chuck Bass sort of a way but I see no Chuck Bass's here. Just a lot of over-the-top cringe acting. And I wouldn't survive a season with the top dog's minion best friend/underling.

This season has been a huge disappointment to me so far. Everything is feeling so rush, rush, rushed and last season's smart & witty sisters have turned into seemingly bumbling fools willing to spill their guts to some new random interloper in order to stir up a new story line I suppose. It's a shame the writers couldn't have dreamed up a new story line that didn't come at the expense of their previously well-written core characters. And yes, I miss The Prick. I am right there with you. We've all seen this scenario play out before in other shows and I actually just find it annoying more than anything. When they do the big shocking reveal that Grace really is alive, are any of us really & truly surprised anymore? The minute they don't show me the body, I know.

I agree! I would watch BBT read the dictionary because his delivery is always pitch perfect to me and this role has enough meat in it to showcase what makes him so interesting to watch. (Off topic: BBT and Vince Vaughn are my favourite actors and if you are a fan of Vaughn's, I highly recommend Bad Monkey if you have not seen it. It was the perfect role for him, too.) I'm thrilled to have had both these guys back on my tv screen this year.

CNN staff 'scared and frustrated' about looming layoffs that 'will target network's most expensive shows.' CNN 'will axe top stars in layoffs that'll see hundreds fired as ratings continue to tank.'

I recall they hired Chris Wallace to be a big player on their streaming service CNN+ that was going to make a big splash in the world of streaming. He was their 'big get.' Until said streamer was squashed a month after it debuted. They never really knew what to do with him after that and it was never more obvious than when they stuck him on one of their nightly panels with the usual CNN crew -- he always stuck out like a sore thumb. Smart move on his part to move along.

Perhaps I used the wrong turn of phrase by saying 'root for,' but I was really just speaking of characters such as his in general. It's been like 2 years since I last watched the show and haven't spent much time doing a deep character study on him because for me, it's not that deep, but okay.

Bardem did a fantastic job in this. So much so, that I had to actually stop the show at one point to go online and verify that it was in fact him, even though I knew I read it was, because he literally became Jose to me. He and Cooper Koch get full props from me and are the reason why I am watching this to the end even though it is a very tough watch.

I agree. The most interesting characters for me are always the ones who you both root for and hate. I imagine the writers had to make this pivot because of the Costner exit.

Little People, Big World is officially canceled after 25 seasons as Roloff family is ‘happy it’s over’ & ‘ready to rest.'

I agree. If they were one, big happy family, TLC would replace them with another family of dysfunction so it's best for them all to not be so happy with each other .. at least during filming.

I am the last person to chime in to defend Whoopi but that's what I am doing right now. I hate the term pro-life because it makes it too easy for people to weaponize it and imply that if you are pro-choice, you are anti-life, which is obviously completely and utterly absurd. To me, the opposite of pro-choice is anti-choice so those are the terms I choose to use.

In the spirit of admitting things, I admit that I have been muttering 'oh, brothers' to myself lately when something goes wrong and it gives me a little laugh every time I say it.

I would watch Billy Bob Thornton read takeout menus so I am all in for this.

I agree. It has a very saccharine vibe to it that is typical of a hundred romance movies you would find on the Hallmark Channel. The sets play a big part in that; most especially the shiny, showroom houses. So does the clichéd best friend with all the cheesy one liners, who just happens to run the local diner. I was excited to tune into a new show called Murder in a Small Town starring Kristin Kreuk and Rossif Sutherland but this is not the show I was expecting. It's a lot more cheesy and a lot less murdery than I was anticipating. It feels like a show that I've already seen before; maybe even 20 years ago, but maybe that is what is appealing to some viewers and that's what they like about it.

Strange episode name for this one. I can't make out the significance of it.

That actually sounds like something Tori would do, so I didn't even realize it was a typo at first. 😅

I'm enjoying this. Loving the 80s music and they are doing a fantastic job with Joan's hair, makeup & wardrobe. Sophie Turner is doing a great job and Frank Dillane, whom I have never seen before, is adorable.

Seinfeld is my favourite tv show with King of Queens being a close second. I am Gen X and both jaded and over it all. I am also probably an asshole, so that tracks. Not a day or two goes by without my husband or I quoting a line from Seinfeld in some random moment to each other. To us, life really and truly is just one long Seinfeld episode.

This is new on Amazon Prime and I tried watching it last night as I love Michael Keaton but I found it to be a boring drag and didn't even finish it. I also have to add that I found the plastic surgery he had done on his eyes before filming this very distracting. It removed a lot of the character from his face unfortunately.

I loved every minute of this show and hated to see it end. I could have happily watched another 25 episodes of it. A solid 10/10 from me. It was the perfect vehicle to get Vince Vaughn back on my screen and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

She sounded just like Donna Dixon to me. Dixon of Bosom Buddies fame and ex-wife of Dan Akroyd; who always spoke with a weird accent. With a little of Moira from Schitt's Creek thrown in. I'm not sure what this show is aiming for either. Ha, yeah, that was a real choice, wasn't it. I was snickering at that.

I binged the whole thing yesterday and really enjoyed it. I almost gave up on it 2 or 3 episodes in because all of the "podcast this!" and "podcast that!" talk was driving me crazy. They must have said the word podcast 100x. Great actors, well-written characters and a pretty good script. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon.

Winxx looks like she is smiling. Her eyes say it all. That is one happy dog, @Moose135 ❤️

I was going to stick with this silly show for a few reasons: it's nostalgic Love Boat meets Fantasy Island vibe appealed to me, glossy productions from Ryan Murphy are always fun eye candy with great visual appeal and Don Johnson, because why not? I miss the days of 80s-90s television when you could easily find something light & fluffy to tune into to indulge yourself for an hour a week. Not everything has to be Dexter or Game of Thrones. All that said, the only thing I am even less interested in watching aside from "it was all just a dream" tv, is anything having to do with COVID, so I am out at the first inkling I get that this theory is true. Thank you for sharing.

Yara has become too affected and performative on Pillow Talk. She is more concerned about how she looks and sounds than she is about anything else.
