  1. The minute I heard that the inauguration was being moved indoors because the forecast is calling for bitter cold and high winds, I jokingly but not jokingly, told my husband that it's all about the hair. Trump can't very well wear his trusty red MAGA ball cap to lock that Thing down on inauguration day after all, so moving it inside saves him and his hair because for him, sometimes it really is all about the hair. I'm impressed that Jon managed to spell 'reneging' properly. Good for you, Jon!
  2. I went to bed before this one finished but I guessed it was the wife who did it based solely on that miserable looking face of hers in her own daughter's wedding photo that they kept showing over & over. Superficial, I know, but that picture told me everything I needed to know about that woman. Part of the reason why I just turned it off and went to bed. One of the sons in his police interview said that his dad was in love with his mom right up until the day he died. Why, I have no idea.
  3. I also appreciated the neat & tidy house and even noticed cleaning supplies scattered about in the kitchen. I kept hoping that Amber would get onboard with the program but didn't hold out much hope when towards the beginning of the episode she turned her nose up at mom's banana with some sort of 'I don't know how you can eat that stuff' comment. Then she ridiculed Dr. Now's book; 'his face is on the cover??' and also when mom did the chair exercises. The poor dog was so looking forward to that walk around the block. If only Amber could have started to do it. Would have been good for both dog and her. Speaking of the dog, this brings me to Dr. Paradise's session with Karen. I have to say, this was my very favourite Dr. Paradise session ever. I loved everything he had to say. One other thing; I was confused when Karen said she worked from home but then later told Dr. Now that she was in school for social work. Perhaps both?
  4. I, too, hope she felt as beautiful as she looked because she did look lovely. I imagine she was self-conscious of it being too form fitting without realizing that not only would it have been even more flattering to her figure if she had worn it the way it was intended to fit, it would have also held up much better and stayed in place better, thus making it more comfortable for her to wear. We are our own worst enemies, for sure.
  5. Two quotes run through my head quite frequently whenever I think of the millions of people who voted for Trump because they actually believed him when he said that he could control the high cost of grocery store item and that he would magically make them all plummet on Day One in office. "Wizard's First Rule: people are stupid." -- Terry Goodkind. "Those who stand for nothing fall for anything." -- most commonly attributed to Alexander Hamilton.
  6. Ah! That explains it then, thank you! I missed that episode.
  7. I'm so sorry but I am still irrationally stuck on that wedding dress. I heard Christine describe it as a 'mermaid gown with no waist' and therein lies the problem. A mermaid gown, by definition, has a waist: The mermaid is characterized by a fitted silhouette that tightly hugs the body from the chest down to the knees, where the skirt then flares out into a dramatic mermaid “tail”. A dress without a waist is a shift dress: A shift dress is a type of dress that is typically short, straight-cut, and loose-fitting, with a simple design that hangs straight down from the shoulders without a defined waistline. So, she basically turned her mermaid gown into a shift dress. I'm sorry, I just can't deal with that still.
  8. His own personal Burn Book. That's so fetch.
  9. ‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin and husband fight back against insurance fraud accusations. They have hired Mark Geragos and are threatening to countersue if the lawsuit isn't withdrawn.
  10. Maybe Dr. Now's son has a new financial strategy: Diversification.
  11. This is boring as hell so far. Same things said and done over and over again but just with a baby now. Brice seems to be a really sweet guy and I find him rather charming in a simple, genuine way. So, according to their talking head segment, they broke up because Brice would come home from a stressful day at work and wouldn't give Liz enough attention. He says he has to work on that and will make sure to not do that anymore and so I guess the break-up was all his fault. Translation: The guy would come home from work tired as hell and would just want to sit on the couch quietly and watch tv for the night until he had to get up the next morning and do it all over again. And in his free time, he wanted to go fishing for a few hours. Sounds fine to me. But nope, he's on tv apologizing for it all while Liz sits there with that smug look on her face. He seems to really love her and says such sweet things about her while she sits there smugly and doesn't. Maybe she is different when the cameras aren't around.
  12. @GHScorpiosRule How was the Jamie Fraser approved Scotch Whisky? 🙂
  13. Now there's an episode worth watching. I can picture the scene with Chris picking them up right now. If only they could throw some of this real life content in between all the farting and crying.
  14. Luke Wilson's character is cracking me up in this. He's doing a good job with it. I always liked this guy and don't see him in much anymore.
  15. My 2 favourite movies that aren't about Christmas but take place at Christmas are Bridget Jones's Diary and The Family Stone; the latter being hated by most apparently but liked by me.
  16. Slàinte mhath, @GHScorpiosRule what a great gift, beautiful label.
  17. Did the assistance look a lot like this? This has always been my experience with any cat I have ever met and any box they have ever met.
  18. I didn't really notice how bad this kid was until this season. He had such a sour expression on his face the entire time. He couldn't even wipe the foul look off his face in the scenes with his father where he is mourning his grandfather. I don't imagine anyone is going to be knocking down his door to cast him in anything else after this.
  19. My girlfriend calls Sara 'Sparkle Princess.' She's like the My Little Pony of The View. All rainbows and puppy dog kisses. There's not much there below that.
  20. I knew that was the intention behind it but I still found it really horrible to watch. It was one of those having to face 'ugly history' moments, I suppose, so the discomfort of it was very effective.
  21. Great news! I loved this show! Loved having Vince Vaughn back on my screen. ❤️💜
  22. I just watched this last night and the only thing I can add that hasn't already been mentioned is that I really, really hated the scene of the kids knocking over the headstones. Other than that, it ended pretty much as expected. When talk of memorable series that started out strong but crashed and burned at the end are discussed; this one will be at the top of that list for sure. Taylor Sheridan is 100% to blame for this because of his quantity over quality approach to everything.
  23. I love Denis Leary so this episode was a ride ... with a happy ending!
