  1. I love Denis Leary so this episode was a ride ... with a happy ending!
  2. Oh, wow. Thank you. So the plot thickens..
  3. Do we know who that young woman was who was sitting on Reed's couch at the end? I suppose she is Reed's new back-up replacement for Helen if need be? I loved this. Always been a Keira fan and have looked for all things Sarah since Happy Valley but Ben Whishaw was a revelation for me. I adored this guy! What an absolute charmer.
  4. I love your spirit, @GHScorpiosRule 😁 Congrats on winning the gift card!! My Mom watched one of those wrapping videos last week and copied it to wrap a gift for a friend and it came out amazing. This is my onesie: (model included, not me.)
  5. I, too, own a Christmas onesie! It's one of the only thing that gets me through Winter. I may or may not be wearing it right now. No pic though as I can't compete with cute dog.
  6. Speaking of Vanderbilt, is Kelly still friends with Anderson Cooper or has he joined her long list of enemies? I just happened to notice that she no longer co-hosts CNN Heroes with him anymore. Does she still name drop him? I am guessing through her BFF or maybe now former BFF Anderson Cooper; Gloria's son. By the way, I always enjoy your posts @finnzup I don't have a strong enough stomach to watch this show and your descriptions of her goings on are always entertaining.
  7. @Back Atcha❤️💜💛 I remember you talking proudly about your dear son before. I am so sorry to hear of his passing.
  8. I believe that fully. There is a house in my Southwestern Ontario city that put Trump Vance election signs in their yard.
  9. Nowadays, I feel lucky if there even is an employee at the register.
  10. I will never forget the anecdote that Ivana shared in her book that Trump didn't want to name Don Jr. after him because 'what if he's a loser?'
  11. I am still really enjoying this show. Keira Knightley and Sara Lancashire are always a guarantee win for me. I have only seen Ben Whishaw once before in A Very British Scandal and I am really enjoying him in this, too. Random observation: Keira Knightley looks nothing at all like Catherine, Princess of Wales but there have been a number of times while watching this where I think she looks just like her. It's obviously the similar long hair that is doing it but it has been uncanny a couple of times. Anyone else seeing it?
  12. And now we have the great Billy Bob Thornton reading lines about the ex's period and her PMS. That whole scene felt like it was straight out of something written in 1983.
  13. I really like this so far. This show is exactly what I was expecting The Agency to be but was not. A stealth moving plot and a stellar cast all set in a slick setting with visually appealing production value.
  14. I love, love, love this show and am sad to have just finished the last episode of Season 2. What an ending. Some of the last few scenes were so beautifully shot. I watched the first season in the dubbed English version and this season I watched it in German with English subtitles. I got so lost in the show that I quickly got used to reading the subtitles and would watch it this way again if we are lucky enough to get another season. Hopefully much sooner than 2 years away this time! The two leads are so great together and I especially love the actor playing Franz; he is such a tender and gentle way about him. This season was heavy on the sad but very watchable. 10/10 from me.
  15. I know what to expect when I tune into a Taylor Sheridan show and so I know there will be the token eye candy and I don't even care until it starts to cut into my Billy Bob time and his character's story line, which is where it seems we are be headed. You have Billy Bob Thornton starring in your show and this is the best material you can give the man? Having him rolling his eyes and cringing at his daughter and ex-wife for an hour? What a wasted opportunity.
  16. I agree. I am all about Billy Bob and not looking forward to him having to share his screen time with those two nitwits for the entirety of the season. The sooner this story line goes south, the better. I'm way more interested in Tommy's relationship with his son, Cooper; who, as a character, is much more intriguing and nuanced than those two. This young actor is interesting to me and I have enjoyed his scenes with Billy Bob but they are too few and far between.
  17. I was really looking forward to this show based on this synopsis from Paramount: "The series follows Martian (Fassbender), a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his undercover life and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites." That show would have been enough for me. I was all in at that. I could do without the extra subplots involving the other spies and covert assignments gone sideways worldwide. This is too in the weeds for me to watch right now.
  18. One of my very favourite scenes from The Good Place -- Tahani & Eleanor are watching a British TV show together. Tahani says to Eleanore: "It's Deirdre and Margaret. It ran for 16 years on the BBC. They did nearly 30 episodes.”
  19. I watched about 35 minutes of it before bailing. I can enjoy a show like this if the actors are at least charming and charismatic. I saw no charm or charisma here. These characters are of course supposed to be very arrogant and that in itself can be charming in a Chuck Bass sort of a way but I see no Chuck Bass's here. Just a lot of over-the-top cringe acting. And I wouldn't survive a season with the top dog's minion best friend/underling.
  20. This season has been a huge disappointment to me so far. Everything is feeling so rush, rush, rushed and last season's smart & witty sisters have turned into seemingly bumbling fools willing to spill their guts to some new random interloper in order to stir up a new story line I suppose. It's a shame the writers couldn't have dreamed up a new story line that didn't come at the expense of their previously well-written core characters. And yes, I miss The Prick. I am right there with you. We've all seen this scenario play out before in other shows and I actually just find it annoying more than anything. When they do the big shocking reveal that Grace really is alive, are any of us really & truly surprised anymore? The minute they don't show me the body, I know.
  21. I agree! I would watch BBT read the dictionary because his delivery is always pitch perfect to me and this role has enough meat in it to showcase what makes him so interesting to watch. (Off topic: BBT and Vince Vaughn are my favourite actors and if you are a fan of Vaughn's, I highly recommend Bad Monkey if you have not seen it. It was the perfect role for him, too.) I'm thrilled to have had both these guys back on my tv screen this year.
  22. CNN staff 'scared and frustrated' about looming layoffs that 'will target network's most expensive shows.' CNN 'will axe top stars in layoffs that'll see hundreds fired as ratings continue to tank.'
  23. I recall they hired Chris Wallace to be a big player on their streaming service CNN+ that was going to make a big splash in the world of streaming. He was their 'big get.' Until said streamer was squashed a month after it debuted. They never really knew what to do with him after that and it was never more obvious than when they stuck him on one of their nightly panels with the usual CNN crew -- he always stuck out like a sore thumb. Smart move on his part to move along.
  24. Perhaps I used the wrong turn of phrase by saying 'root for,' but I was really just speaking of characters such as his in general. It's been like 2 years since I last watched the show and haven't spent much time doing a deep character study on him because for me, it's not that deep, but okay.
  25. Bardem did a fantastic job in this. So much so, that I had to actually stop the show at one point to go online and verify that it was in fact him, even though I knew I read it was, because he literally became Jose to me. He and Cooper Koch get full props from me and are the reason why I am watching this to the end even though it is a very tough watch.
