  1. And here I was waiting for a Yentl.
  2. So, Whoopi has a wine now, too? Ha! That is hilarious and the most random thing I have heard all week.
  3. Maybe that'll wipe some of the smug off Tapper's face. I totally knew that new Mr. Boss Man was trying to turn Tapper into Mr. CNN. Glad to hear the viewers weren't having it.
  4. Just another day that ends in a Y on CNN. Another day, another typo. I was barely even watching this morning and I saw the word MISSSLES across the screen as I walked on by.
  5. Funny you both should mention this because just this morning my husband and I said that if we wanted to watch The Today Show, we'd already be watching The Today Show. My husband even snarked that maybe they can get Matt Lauer and Katie Couric to come join them on the couch. The promo spots they keep running are not good. As mentioned, Don wants to 'have a conversation,' Poppy says that 'people just want to be heard.' Nope and nope! At 6am, I just want someone boring to read me the news in a soothing and/or monotone voice with no added thoughts, feelings or personal conjecture. And they're already doing the requisite age jokes with Kaitlan in the promos. The she's so young! and they're so old! crap. Total vapid morning show fluff circa 1999.
  6. I'm surprised that there's never been at least one seamstress who has offered to make custom fit costumes for her. Especially since Amy could advertise thank them on social media and get them all for free. A win-win for both parties and certainly not something Amy shies away from. It just seems like a missed opportunity.
  7. I had absolutely no idea this show was back. Anyways, I just finished watching this one 5 minutes ago and this drove me crazy! It was mentioned so cavalierly by Mom, as if it was just some innocuous little detail that was an inconvenience to even have to bring up. I was certain it would come back up but it was just ignored. Sure, there were certainly some compelling ideas and theories that caused me to pause for a moment, but I just couldn't get past the way they conveniently hand waved away the angry confrontation over her theft because it had literally just occurred minutes before she left to leave down the driveway which points to it being the impetus for her suicide to me. Teens do sadly make these impulsive deadly decisions sometimes to avoid facing consequences. (I went to high school with a boy who killed himself after having a party one Friday night because he was afraid to face his parents when they came home the next day.) Then I come here and read the information that TooMuchRealityTv shared above. Wow! Now I feel as though I have been manipulated and that pisses me off because sadly, there are so many families with stories to tell like this that when others spend their time and money to get a story told, I want it to be the true, unfiltered version, no matter how ugly it may be because otherwise it just seems like those resources were squandered. I also thought it was strange when the footnote at the end told us that Tiffany's friends declined to be on the show even though they were invited to appear. That really never happens. There's always at least that one friend who wouldn't say no to being on a show. Now that I read what TooMuchRealityTv shared above, I can surmise the reasons why. Nobody wanted to open the proverbial can of worms.
  8. He's also as dumb as a stump and I'd be surprised if he could count to 100. He has 0 charm and 0 charisma and brings absolutely nothing to the table or this show.
  9. I think she was looking for Becca's address, which she did find written on a post-it if I am remembering correctly. I highly enjoyed this series but was really ready for it just to be over. I think the finale let down the rest of the show because it wasn't up to the same quality in terms of clever writing. The way in which he finally died was much too hackneyed and cheese ball for me. The murder attempts were written so much better.
  10. I'm especially getting a kick out of all the things Karen keeps calling the ferret other than ferret; like weasel and muskrat, lol.
  11. How's the crying situation been in these new 30 minute blocks? Does she still have time to cry in every interview? lol!
  12. I totally see it in that photo and also see how much Tori looks like her mom. You can really see the resemblance in that specific shot. Ugly collar aside, I wish she would give those big bows a rest. I hate those things. Maybe Lilah loves them and likes to wear them. I just always think they must be uncomfortable.
  13. I agree with you on every point*, most especially about the dubbing, as it was done so seamlessly that I forgot to even notice it. I've come across far too many badly dubbed and therefore unwatchable Netflix series recently so this was a pleasant surprise. I was also unfamiliar with this story so the stellar writing, acting and phenomenal production values had me glued to my tv. The wedding episode was so beautifully shot; particularly in the way they used the lighting to capture the details of Elisabeth's gown as she swished about the palace. The two main leads were compelling to watch thanks to their very expressive faces which is what I need in order to get lost into period pieces. Lead actress Devrim Lingnau (Elisabeth) has a very early Jennifer Lawrence - Malin Akerman quality to her face and Philip Froissant (Franz) was giving me occasional Josh Harnett vibes. * (except the watching it in german next part, lol)
  14. And it's so SHINY. Girlfriend needs to back off on the highlighter.
  15. Like a unicorn. 🦄 Seems as though this is the only place that is discussing her book. I saw a few articles online about it earlier this morning just before I left for work. I bookmarked them and looked forward to coming home to read all of the comments. 5 hours later I come home, no comments to be had. Not even snark. Hilarious. Talk about a lack of buzz. yawn.
  16. Was Josh driving a different fancy car last night? A black one? Wasn't his first flashy car a white Tesla? (I only know it was a Tesla thanks to Patrick & John on Pillow Talk.)
  17. I've also suspected the killer could be mild-mannered neighbour Roger who is clearly smitten with Grace. Perhaps some violent scenario between Grace and JP plays out and Roger annoyingly shows up again (from JP's standpoint) and saves the day. I just keep thinking there must be a reason why the writers kept having him repeatedly dropping over uninvited so often. Apart from being highly entertaining for the viewer because it annoyed the ever loving shit out of JP, perhaps there is another plot reason for it. Maybe he gets things cleared up with the police and is released from custody just in time to show up and save Grace from JP. And then maybe he and Grace live happily ever after. The End. Or maybe not. lol.
  18. Tapper's getting Cuomo's former time slot. The coveted 9pm - 10pm. https://nypost.com/2022/09/22/jake-tapper-to-take-chris-cuomos-old-cnn-primetime-slot-reports/
  19. I keep meaning to ask those of you who have been watching this show since the start -- was Ross always there? Or did they bring him on to help her out at some point along the way?
  20. Double cringe award goes to Kimbahly. First award for singing in the car along to Usman's music. Second award for when she met up with him in the airport and told us how she was getting the "yummy" later.
  21. I don't buy it either. I think it's made up drama for the show. Further to that, it's super boring and uninteresting. I also wonder why the hell Shaeeda would saddle herself with Bilal and this stupid show but from what I read she wants to be a social media influencer or some such shit (of course she does) so I guess this gets her the exposure.
