S01.E03: Track 3: Someone Saved My Life Tonight
Cementhead replied to AnimeMania's topic in Daisy Jones And The Six
I loved the book and I am loving this just as much. I think it's totally capturing the right pace and vibe. I was glued to these first 3 episodes and loved where this one ends. My only complaint is that Sam Claflin looks too old most of the time but I can deal with it and I was questioning the acting abilities of a few of them before watching but am pleasantly surprised to see that everyone holds their own and meets the challenge. This is actually exceeding my expectations which is a rarity so what a treat. That will become a bigger part of the story in due time if it sticks to the book.- 8 replies

Me again. So, having only partially watched, I missed the scenes with the trainer, the 16 yr. old and Dr. Paradise. I just saw a seemingly nice guy (for this show) who had a job and wore pants so I was easily impressed. That'll teach me to post when I only half-ass watched between hockey game commercials. My bad!

I was only partially watching but I heard Mom say something along the lines of "How do you punish a 43 year old? You can't take their car away from them or ground them." Um, he's a 43 year old grown man still living at home. I suppose telling him to leave would be considered punishment... I can see why Mark would want to stay though. Nice, caring family in a beautiful home having evening bbqs together in the backyard poolside. Sweet! From the bits I watched Mark seemed like a nice enough guy who had his shit together, and by had his shit together, I mean he had on an actual proper pants and/or shorts. And looked clean and neat. And was polite. And had a job!

Is there a reason for the sudden photo dump of just plopping Josiah down in random places and taking pics of him? The other two must run away from her now when she gets the phone out so he gets stuck being her prop for content.

S04.E06: A Lot of Cooks in the Kitchen
Cementhead replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in 1,000-LB Sisters
Oh, I know. Which is why I said: I meant show up on the scene 'of this show' as in, be the new story line for Amy of overworked and harried "new mom of two." I can't even pretend to care or be interested enough to keep watching. -
If Sunny thinks she is in a happy, healthy marriage she would be wrong. There is nothing healthy about her behaviour and let's ask Manny just how happy he is.

Maybe that explains the sweaty Super Bowl bangs?

S04.E06: A Lot of Cooks in the Kitchen
Cementhead replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in 1,000-LB Sisters
Call me a mean bitch but I find people who choose to have more children than they can handle and then whine and complain about it annoying as hell. Especially the unhealthy ones who can't even be accountable enough to look after themselves let alone tiny new humans. I started watching this show just recently but I'm not tuning in to listen to Amy whine about how tired she is now that Glenn has shown up on the scene so I am done. Gormless Michael looks like tying his shoes might be a struggle some mornings. He's harmlessly cute in a bumbling sort of way but I wouldn't trust him to pick up the right milk or make change for a $20. I think he peaks at just standing there mouth agape. -
The Wendy Williams Show - General Discussion
Cementhead replied to David T. Cole's topic in The Wendy Williams Show
Wendy Williams appears in high spirits as she steps out for dinner in NYC in flashy Louis Vuitton ensemble amid ongoing fears for her health. -
Using 'fidelity is important to me' as a reason to limit sex scenes is just stupid seeing as Penn is an actor and so is his wife apparently. The fake sex scenes are acting and part of their job, so.. just stupid. But whatever. This entire season is stupid and now coupled with this dumb shit from Penn I am now over both him and this show. A complete 180 but that's what happens when shows start to suck and actors say stupid things.

Was Amy IN the Super Bowl because yikes! Girlfriend looks rough! Maybe she was running around the backyard all afternoon dodging footballs or something. The latest Chris sightings are cracking me the hell up. Like in this one, Dude look over it. And yes, Amy, it was a tough 'lost,' wasn't it?

Michael is a total Mod Sun knockoff. "Mod Sun" being this creature who is apparently a singer and is engaged to Avril Lavigne: I'm trying to think of something else to add to the conversation but I got nothing. This show is just a giant empty void, as are Darcey & Stacey and I can't even muster up anything original to say that hasn't already been covered. There is no there there with these sad crones. Bottomless pits of vapidness. I am sorry to see that the daughters are being incorporated into this mess more and more. I am sure it won't be long before they are presented to us as some sort of TLC's version of Darcey & Stacey 2.0 because gotta keep this gravy train going!

It feels like overkill to me, too. And though it is my favourite aspect of this show, too much of a good thing is never a good thing. Yes, the cast is made up of caricatures and tired cliches. I am also not a fan of the 'turning the table on Joe' thing and I almost feel like I am watching a too forced and rushed version of A Knives Out Mystery. I have often found that season 4 of a series is usually the worst and sadly I think that is proving to be the case here.

Fiancé Daun professed his devotion to her because (a) she is a big boned woman and (b) she got him out of prison. Aw, what a romantic. That's true love right there. ❤️ Yes, the bed eating is possibly the worst thing about this series. I just can't even fathom the idea. It's a horror show to me every single time I see it.

Of course he "slammed" his choking hazards vs. regular just "ate" them because everything Tori's kids do has to sound so much more aspirational and cool. I'm surprised she didn't tell us how much he was "rockin' his bib." I bet he really "owned his diaper" later that day, too. Or is Jackson, pardon me, "J" just the only one who gets to own stuff? 🙄

S04.E02: To Have Peace There Must Be Strife
Cementhead replied to greekmom's topic in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way
And then in an ironic twist, at least to me, turn out to be the closest thing to actual real, genuine soulmates this show has ever seen. Sure, they couldn't get their shit together and were both messes in general, but I still say they were the real deal and should have stuck it out. The two of them and all their hair could have made it work. But I'm a crazy romantic. -

I second this question. Asking for a friend. -
That's actually the first time we've seen Chris in a while, I think. And it's just the back of his head, lol. I am convinced that he was more than happy to get Daisy because she ends up in all of Amy's selfies now instead of him. Self bang cutter here. Seeing the shitty condition of hers lately has convinced me to put down the scissors. (Until 2 weeks from now when I start snipping at them again. 😩)

The Kelly Clarkson Show - General Discussion
Cementhead replied to Drogo's topic in The Kelly Clarkson Show
I think Kelly would look awesome if they would just let her wear casual clothing. Like a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a blazer. Boots, cowboy boots. That type of thing. She would look great and it would suit her personality so much better.
