  1. 'WAGS' are 'wives and girlfriends' usually in the context of a sporting team. The stereotype is of a (frequently) blonde who spends much of their time - and partner's money - shopping.
  2. IIIRC, wasn't the kidney one that they'd already lost a few potential recipients for and Elizabeth didn't want it to go to waste?
  3. I thought that book Ross merely suggested that if she had another child then she should muddy the dates. Not that she should deliberately have a child just for that purpose.
  4. (raises hand) I grew up using it, always gives me good results.
  5. Ah well, odds are her character will end up dying a gruesome death which should please her non-fans!
  6. I thought it was an automatic response, that the ship jumped out of danger and then returned when it was safe.
  7. I'm going to have to watch her in something other than Broadchurch as a bit of a palatte cleanser to give her a fair shot, because I didn't care all that much for her character there.
  8. I hope that now they know that there's alt versions of some of them around, that they'll come up with some sort of code words so that they'll know they're dealing with the 'right' versions. Loved the alt-Android's line "Minimal. Effort"
  9. AFAIK, that was only during the re-shoots and not during main production.
  10. The Towering Inferno - Bigelow and Lorrie die because they've switched off the office phones and can't call for help. Nowadays one or both of them would surely have a mobile phone they could use. (they might still get killed, but they'd at least have been able to let the firefighters know where they were)
  11. They've filmed season 5, but haven't broadcast it yet. They're supposed to be filming a 2 hour special to finish it off but that hasn't started filming yet, and S5 won't be broadcast until the finale is ready - fingers crossed it'll be picked up by another network first I disagree. With only 8 or 10 episodes a season, by the end of S5, they'll still only have the equivalent of 2 x American length seasons. Too many shows have too many characters to deal with. I'd be more concerned at the rising body count in such a small town. They must be twinned with Cabot Cove and/or Midsomer!
  12. So Nardole is basically stuck being the leader of a group that sooner or later are going to be overrun by Cybermen? When Missy was walking away from the Master, I was shouting at her to not turn her back on him. But I somehow can't see her being gone for good - although presumably will be in a new incarnation next time. Glad that Bill got a happy ending, but I wish that the Doctor could find out somehow that she got uncyber-ised. Although hopefully the TARDIS will find some way of letting the Doctor know what happened.
  13. Well there was The Never Never Affair where Napoleon sends a translator on what's supposed to be an ordinary errand but she ends up on a mission! ?
  14. Like about half the episodes of The Man from UNCLE which involved an 'innocent' being caught up in a highly dangerous mission?
  15. Yes and no. David Tennant first appeared in the final scene of season 1 of the reboot, but his first full post-regeneration episode was the Christmas special. IIRC, when they filmed Nine's regeneration scene, they hadn't actually cast Ten at that point, and his scene was only slotted in closer to the time of airing - which could be what they're planning here.
  16. The problem I ended up having with Carter was that he seemed to have these (almost) seasonal 'epiphanies' whereby he'd realIse that he was doing everything all wrong and he should really be doing something different. And it felt like we were all supposed to get behind him every time he kept changing his mind.
  17. I don't think we can necessarily rule out any of the characters. Yes, they were separated on the buses, but at that point I think it was more about getting them back behind bars in a hurry. Any or all of them could be transferred back to Lichfield in and when it reopens. Heh, could make for some interesting contract negotiations because every character could potentially be written off or return.
  18. And besides, Frieda is resourceful enough that she probably could have whipped up a weapon to kill them outright if she'd wanted to.
  19. How is it that Michael Weatherly looked much better just woken up with bedhead hair than he did fully dressed and tidied up? Seriously, can somebody tell the hairdressing department to keep the floppy hair instead of brushing it back? It takes years off him. (why yes, I am shallow, thank you for asking! )
  20. Really? I always thought that SJW was used as an insult by people who were pissed off that somebody was daring to call them out on their crap. So they try to knock them down by insulting them instead of actually looking at their own behaviour.
  21. I always liked Malucci. A pity they couldn't have given him better storylines.
  22. SyFy in the UK appears to be airing them over 3 consecutive nights as well, starting on Friday the 26th.
  23. Regarding the keys being left in the bomb van. Weren't they trying to set up Hannah as the bomber (plans in her apartment etc). On the off chance that the FBI might have disarmed the bomb in time, it would have damaged the narrative if she hadn't the keys with her. Granted, if the bomb had gone off, the lack of keys wouldn't have been an issue.
