  1. How is it that Michael Weatherly looked much better just woken up with bedhead hair than he did fully dressed and tidied up? Seriously, can somebody tell the hairdressing department to keep the floppy hair instead of brushing it back? It takes years off him. (why yes, I am shallow, thank you for asking! )
  2. Really? I always thought that SJW was used as an insult by people who were pissed off that somebody was daring to call them out on their crap. So they try to knock them down by insulting them instead of actually looking at their own behaviour.
  3. I always liked Malucci. A pity they couldn't have given him better storylines.
  4. SyFy in the UK appears to be airing them over 3 consecutive nights as well, starting on Friday the 26th.
  5. Regarding the keys being left in the bomb van. Weren't they trying to set up Hannah as the bomber (plans in her apartment etc). On the off chance that the FBI might have disarmed the bomb in time, it would have damaged the narrative if she hadn't the keys with her. Granted, if the bomb had gone off, the lack of keys wouldn't have been an issue.
  6. The BBC doesn't air commercials.
  7. So neither Weller nor Jane think to check the trunk of the car in the scrapyard before declaring that Zapata wasn't there? I was half expecting the next scene to be her banging frantically on the trunk so they'd hear her!
  8. Heh, we used to play that assassination type game in college during Rag Week. No body cams or paintball, and the prize was usually a bottle of whiskey!
  9. There wasn't really a lot of time for Bill to mourn her friends because the danger was still present. When the orphan died there was no immediate threat to Bill and the Doctor, but after the first person was taken by the bugs, Bill was too busy running for her life to grieve. Re the house share "what do other people do?" Well mostly, they either double up on rooms or they split into smaller groups. Three bed houses are a lot easier to come by than six beds.
  10. Re the green team. At that point they knew Shepherd wanted Weller alive. Narking on him to the hacker might have gotten him killed and with no guarantee that they'd still get the documents. (Hacker Lady being so capricious that she could easily give them to team #3)
  11. It was somewhat ridiculous that Mark was anywhere near that guys treatment in the first place.
  12. True, but stepping down after a long reign and when your heir apparent has been expecting the role, it's a long way different from being thrust into the role in a hurry as with the last abdication.
  13. Seriously fricking awesome movie! Yes, there's a few post credits scenes - and a few 'in credit' jokes - but honestly, the closing credits felt way shorter than average. I splurged for the IMAX showing and didn't think it wasted. Might even go for a second viewing.
  14. I wouldn't say Lawson was antagonistic as such. Skeptical of his methods, yes, but I never felt it was personal (not like with Munro in S3). And we do find out that Lawson and Blake were at school together in their youth, so there was an existing friendship. A lot of Lawson's absence can be explained by Joel Tobeck's lack of availability - he's New Zealand based and had a few other projects on during some of the filming. I wish they could have worked around it a bit better though. I hated that in S3 .
  15. (Sighs) next time can they use a bigger bus?
  16. IIRC, one of the earlier episodes of S1 (maybe even the pilot), didn't Mark and his wife Jen get caught in a supply closet or cubicle because they'd accidentally hit an alarm button?
  17. AFAIK, the whole season was filmed before the first episode was broadcast, so her departure was always going to happen this way and in this episode.
  18. IIRC, that was a ploy to get his parents to stop smoking. They realised it was a bit hypocritical to stop him smoking while they both were doing it.
  19. I was expecting that questioner to follow up with a comment about how it must be good not to worry about hospital bills and how was he going to help the general public with their medical/health insurance costs.
  20. To me the final scenes there show that Mark cared more about his dead son than his living daughters. I did start out feeling sorry for him when he was on the phone to Chloe, but then I realised that he was making that call as a suicide note and that's going to be the last image she'll have of him. Katie is an idiot. All she had to do was tell her superiors about her father as soon as his name came up. Was she really that naive or stupid that she thought it matter? Has she never watched a legal/cop drama in her life? Or was she just ambitious and thought that participating in a major crime would be a good career move?
  21. The nuns of Nonatus house are Church of England not Catholic. Not saying they'd be any better though.
  22. Hmm. I wouldn't have kept her based just on the pilot but I think it's a good thing they did, if for no other reason than the show needed a nurse as one of the leads.
  23. British is a blanket term for Welsh, Scots or English. Ireland isn't part of Britain - although Northern Ireland is part the UK...but not Britain.
  24. Sister Julienne is the closest thing to a mother that Shelagh has, so I was happy that she picked her for her midwife. Although I did feel some sympathy for Phyllis, who clearly thought that she was going to be called on.
  25. I may have given him a burst of applause when he appeared at the door all disheveled and hungover and looking very well indeed! ;-)
