  1. I was sure she was just going to end up losing a limb or two. (sniffles) Poor Barbara and poor Phyllis as well.
  2. Same here. I honestly did not expect that outcome. ?
  3. I found Robin rather annoying in the previous episodes and was undecided about whether to give it another go. I still don’t care for her, or the inevitable Strike/Robin pairing but I’ll watch to see whodunnit because even though this is the only one of the books that I’ve read, I don’t remember who the killer is. Nice little ‘in joke’ with the crossword clue!
  4. This is an attempted blunder that didn’t work. When the original pilot was being filmed for The Man from UNCLE, the man in charge was being played by Will Kuluva. TPTP looked at the pilot and said to get rid of the guy whose name started with K and so Kuluva was replaced by Leo G. Carroll. It turned out much later that the exec had meant the character whose name began with K...as in Illya Kuryakin. Things could have been a lot different!
  5. From the preview of ep 6, I think I can guess what happens Barbara and why Nurse Crane is affected.
  6. Maybe he won’t consider himself above the law.
  7. Roman knows what happened in Berlin and was holding it over Weller. I wouldn’t be surprised if he deliberately faked Avery’s death for just that reason. And he’s only keeping her alive because she’s Jane’s daughter.
  8. They'll already have an Enoch back in the present day, they just have to find him.
  9. I loved the scene where Sister Monica Joan told Sister Julienne that she’d have the surgery. Just to watch the emotions play out on Julienne’s face with tiny changes in her expression. The delight that MJ had changed her mund, the slight wariness as she was told why and then just the “what just happened here?” after MJ had left the room. So well done.
  10. I think it was that space whale entity that showed up in the Groundhog Day episode. The member of a very rare species (although this one looked well done ? )
  11. Presumably there's a Federation equivalent of an official secrets act. Present day members of armed forces/services would have things they're not allowed talk about to people who don't have the correct security clearances. I don't see why serving officers in the Federation would be any less trustworthy.
  12. So are the team going to return to the same time and place they were when sent into the future? But Fitz wasn’t sent into the future through the monolith so will that mean that there’s going to be two versions of him in the present day? And present day Enoch should be around as well.
  13. They said they couldn’t use the jury for the mock trial because it wasn’t effective in celebrity cases when the celebrity wasn’t in the mock courtroom. Once the trial was underway the mirror jury was effective.
  14. I feel a bit cheated by this episode, especially with it being the season finale. Mainly because it was so focused ona single character. I wish they’d managed to make it a double length ep so we could at least have checked in on what situations the other three had ended up in when they didn’t die as expected. This would have been fine as a penultimate episode or mid season finale but if it’s the last we’re going to see of these characters until next season, I would have liked a more even balance of screen time.
  15. It was also a rip off of a joke from one of the first Carry-on movies. But yes, it was inappropriate.
  16. Not really. If this was a fictional show I’d be just aching for those two crazy kids to stick together come what may.
  17. Philip gets the particulars of his sport (sailing) correct, what he gets wrong is when he's trying to explain his sport to Elizabeth in horse racing terms so that she'll understand how good a win it was.
  18. Shawn said that they were going to be taken to the real bad place to be examined so maybe they were deemed off limits for the party. Or torturing them would have been considered work and not play.
  19. Did she take all of the kids with her? IIRC, the eldest two or three were her stepchildren.
  20. IIRC, they had a “three weeks earlier” (or however long the period was) caption just after the opening credits.
  21. I think the only people who will remember what the Freak House used to look like are going to be the four kids that were in the game. For everybody else, the kid never disappeared so the house never got run down.
  22. I don't think that will be a problem. Olivia Coleman is more than good enough to take over.
  23. We saw Trixie wearing trousers on duty once, in the episode where the patient was on a ship in the docks and they had to climb to get aboard.
