Only Speculation Without Spoilers In the Thread
ajsnaves replied to shapeshifter's topic in Only Murders In The Building
So I have watched the last scene a few times now and here is what I noticed. Charles and Oliver run into Mable’s apartment, we see Bunny on her side facing Mable. She has blood on her back, seemingly coming from a wound there. But there does not appear to be a hole in the hoodies. I am guessing she was shot, either in the back, or in the front and it went through and through. After she was shot, he hoodie was put on her. (My brother thinks her arms were not in the pulled through the sleeves, but I am not seeing that on my little screen I was using.) THEN she was stabbed in the front with Mable’s knitting needles, in what looks to be near the shoulder. (Is there an artery there?). That would account for all the blood on Mable. I wonder if there was any blood outside the door? Was it cleaned up? So this leaves me with the following questions. Who called the police? Why the heavy response? Who texted Charles and Oliver? Is the Detective trying to help? (I think yes) With 2 murders(recently at least) in the building now, how much is is an apartment in that building going for? So to sum up, Bunny was shot then stabbed. We now have to wait while to find out what the hell is going on. -
Only Speculation Without Spoilers In the Thread

Can I assume at this point this thread is safe for speculation for next season? Because I got some speculating to do based on things I just noticed. -
I want a poster size picture of Steve Martin being pushed around like Winnie to hang my bedroom wall, I loved that so much. Somehow, he made his face look like a turtle. Like he’s getting ready to race Bugs Bunny. But oh, sweet Bunny. We hardly knew yee.

Maybe he has a bunch of vacation or sick time saved up. He hasn’t been grievously injured in over 2 years after all. That whole storyline is a bit too real for me. I like is show for the crazy over the top calls. With bits of drama interspersed in. But I am also glad they are doing this kind of story. I think I just want to put It behind us now, and everybody to be happy. I feel the same with Athena and Harry too. I know it is not realistic though.

After last week I decided that Teddy and Theo were not the killers. It was too easy, and too early. And this just confirmed it. There is plenty there to keep them in trouble though. When Jan started talking about Howard Morris, I started coming around to him as the killer, as revenge. But Im not convinced. I think I will stick with my latest theory, Bunny. Tim Kono was not paying his building fees, and she means business. And she found out about the jewelry when she received a loved ones pieces in the mail addressed to Tim Kono. She assumed he was behind the theft, and responded. But, more because of the late building fees.

Here I am, emjoying the crazy, when this turns into Not Law and Order. I am a criminal defense attorney, so I generally don’t watch cop or law shows. It angers up the blood too much. I am willing to look past the attempt to stop him from representing himself (eventhogh he has the constitutional right to do so) and the sloppy motion practice. (That sort of motion would have been filed months ago, and there is no chance it would not have been heard. And the DA would have been the one questioning Athena first, and there would probably been briefing and all that.) I will not look past them having him in a suit just cus he is acting as his own lawyer. If there is no jury, they guy would have been in orange, and shackled. He can ask his questions from counsel table like the rest of us. That us all just too unbelievable for me. Now bring me more giraffes wandering down Hollywood Blvd. I want to see Buck riding one before this is all done damnit! And if not Buck, Christoper. While wearing his new suit.

I’m thinking they don’t tell them how much flavoring to put in. That’s the only reason I can think of everybody just winging it.

S02.E05: An Embarrassment of Dooplers

I was waiting for that too. Richard Kind makes everything better. A ship full of Richard Kinds (Richards Kind?) Loved it. Want more. What all did we see in the bar? I noticed The Phoenix from First Contact, and the Doomsday Machine. Anything else? -

The world demands more Wally the Cue Card Guy! Can we start a petition for him to host SNL? -
S46.E19: Keegan-Michael Key / Olivia Rodrigo

I think if Henson sent real Muppets, they would have sent real Muppeteers too. There were a few times their mouths didn’t move when they were talking. I cannot imagine a pro making a mistake like that. Kermit seemed a bit smaller than normal too. None of that impeded my enjoyment though. One of the best of the season, in my opinion. -
Damn, nothing can keep the Han boys down. Also, are we sure there is not some ancient curse on this family? Cus something is trying to take them out.

That is one of my main complaints about this show. But it took time to get to know the other 911 operators in Original Recipe. Maybe since she’ll be out for a while we’ll meet Austin’s Josh.

I am a bit confused about the Hen/Karen storyline. The ultimate point of foster care is almost always reunification. It has been a while since I worked a Protective Services case as an attorney, but I think every single case where the kid was out of home, they were working towards reunification. It is not always successful, but that is the goal. Did they not explain this to Hen and Karen? Was there no visitation with her mother or father? Or is starting that where they are now? That process can take a long time. You don’t just hand over a child who has had no contact for a year. I just wish they would have filled in a bit more of where in the process they all were. I loved the Buck/Taylor storyline. I hope we see they’re friendship continue, but no romance. I think he could use some friends outside the first responders and first responder adjacents. It is always nice to see Buck and Christopher together.

I just finished episode 5. (Actually “watched” it twice. Fell asleep the first time) I can’t believe it took me this long to watch. Glad I watched Graham Norton last week. My favorite part is the changing credits, depending on what was decided last episode.

Vintage Episodes: SNL Through the Years
ajsnaves replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
This is the same mix they’ve used the last 2 years. I would love if they split it up over a few weeks and show specific decades/eras. I would love the see the whole of “Dysfunctional Family Christmas” or the “It’s a Wonderful Life” sketch where the beat the crap out of Potter. Good times. -
The Weakest Link (2020) - General Discussion

While I am enjoying the show (Im a sucker for trivia type shows) I hope next season they get people who actually understand the point of building the chain. For a while they kept banking after each correct answer instead of trying to work their way up the chain. I do wonder though, how I would do under the pressure of the show. I would say that I get about 90% of the questions right. But, would I remember in a few seconds that Bobby was JFK’s Attorney General, or would I fall apart trying to think of it, while wasting everyones times. Thats why I try to not to judge. I am not always successful at the attempt. -
Much like Clippy, I don't think we're gonna get rid of Badgy that easily.

Late Night With Seth Meyers - General Discussion

Depending on where he's been the last few months, he might be quarantined for 2 weeks after getting back to New York. Colbert had to do that after being SC. -
My answer for that was "Back Alley"

This was a definite improvement on last season. We actually got to see all the holes this year. And I loved watching them try to catch the pole. Will keep watching.

I said Much Ado About Nothing for FJ, with The Tempest as my second choice. I thought they were supposed to get through all clues in tournament play. Both rounds they left a few on there. I am sad when that happens.

I don’t think TK’s avoiding the dog was just about him not wanting to fall in love with it before it died. I took it as a sign of his emotional place right then and there, with his father going through cancer treatments and his own recent breakup that led to his relapse and OD. That is a lot going on, even if it is not him who has cancer. I can see him not feeling like he could handle anymore loss emotionally. Thus putting his sobriety at risk too. It could be interesting to see them dwell on this a bit. If it comes back of course.

So with this “soft reboot,” are they abandoning the Peter Weller character from last season’s finale? It seemed like they were setting him up as the big bad guy for this season.

Or to solve the problem them selves, which is what the the former senator was saying. From their thinking, Picard and the Federation saw a weakness in the Romulans, and took advantage of it. They’re goal was destabilization, not some altruistic attempt to help a neighbor. If the Federation had minded their own damn business the mighty Romulan Star Empire, which has stood for centuries, would have persevered through their own ingenuity, cunning and guile. And as proof for his thesis, just look at the last 14 years. This view may not be logical, but it makes sense from a Romulan point of view.

Generations. Which I have not watched in years, but now kinda want to see if it as mediocre as I remember. I saw someone somewhere else comment on the Issac Asimov book, which got me thinking. Has there ever been any mention of the “Three Law of Robotics” or something similar in Star Trek? Old school I know, but this is still an old school sci fi show in many ways. Ive been trying to see if there is a way to fit the Synths’ actions into those laws. Obviously not an easy task. The closest I came is the “Zeroth Rule. A robot may not injure humanity, or through inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.” The Synths’ saw a greater threat to humanity coming if they did not act, and chose the lesser of two evils. I doubt this is what happened, but an interesting thought, what with them building a rescue fleet to save the Romulans. Well just some lunch time musings before going back to work. Still liking the show. Loving Picard’s Romulan friends, and kinda want them to have their own story line.
