  1. How old is Baby Charlie at this point? Shouldn’t she be at minimum 6 months, maybe even a year old by now. That brand new fire house was not built by magic. It would probably take close to a year to get it rebuilt, up and running and staffed again. That baby was like “TV 6 weeks” old.
  2. I can think of worse things to have under your bed. I am enjoying this show more than I expected. I loved Downton, but was a bit trepidatious coming into this. But so far I love that I really don’t think we are supposed to root for anyone here. At least not the “adults.”. The younger crowd seem to see the writing the wall. I am guessing Mrs. Astor will too, by season end. I do think Agnes has put herself in an interesting position with Old v. New. She has clearly maintained her connections with the Old, but has not gone out of her way to spurn and piss off the New. She has even “welcomed” Larry into her home for tea, and “allowed” Oscar to go to The Russell’s for dinner. And she has done all of this while barely leaving her Sitting Room. She is setting herself up to be the mediator between the two if she’s not careful.
  3. In my mind, we are seeing things through the eyes of people who have never experienced a real winter. If this had seen seen through the eyes of someone from the Midwest, this would have been a lovely winter day with temps in the mid to high 20s and a few flurries. Paul is from Chicago, right? That’s probably what he saw.
  4. The thought of the weird shit Dave would get up to if he was doing his show locked down at home warms my comedy heart and makes me miss him even more. I am glad he has started putting his stuff on youtube finally.
  5. How else were people supposed to get from the Kitchen to the Lounge, or the Conservatory to the Study? One question I had was how the vault was constructed. Would the whole thing have been lead or steel or whatever? Or just the front/door? For some reason, I see the walls of the vault being concrete and just the door being metal. In which case, you would think a ghost could just walk through the walls. Maybe they can only walk through walls of a certain thickness? Or maybe whoever trapped him in there put some sort of spell/curse on it? (If ghosts exist, why not magic?)
  6. I think we can now assume that. Although I think it would be funny if someday Sam randomly asks where the headless guy was, and someone responds “Oh, he gets lost outside sometimes. He’ll turn up in a few months. I think his head is on the roof though.”
  7. Maybe he has privileges as Chief Emeritus? That is the only thing I can think of. He might also have friends on the board who do not like where things are going. Hell, maybe he can get himself a seat on the board. I forgot how much I missed Vijay. I wish they could find a similar experienced voice of reason like him.
  8. Isn’t that why they brought in that Gwen Garrett lady who left her kid in a freezing car? What ever happened to her?
  9. My God, are there enough big clocks for Joanna to put in the house?
  10. I don’t understand the new “Compliance doctor” or whatever the hell he is called. It seems that he is there to restore the hospital’s public image. What could be better PR? A hospital transplant team is attacked, and they had to let the liver expire without anyone getting it? Or A hospital transplant team being attacked, but they had backup doctors and nurses ready to go to save the liver and recipient? Why look, even the Head of Patient Services suited up and did an exemplary job. I would think the latter would look better for the hospital. I am not even sure why the hospital looks bad to the public. But what do I know?
  11. I wonder if there are servants’ quarters somewhere? Also, are there ensuite bathrooms? I have never stayed at a B&B, so I have no idea what is expected.
  12. I think a lot of it has to do with age. Isn’t Button House 500 years old? Or was Sir. Humphries killed in a previous house? The landed gentry has been on the decline for well over a hundred years now, so the money to up keep it is not there anymore. Highclere Castle was falling apart before Downton Abbey filmed there. Unless you’re friends with Julien Fellows like the Lord and Lady Carnarvon, there is limited income to maintain such a manor house, much less the whole estate. In the US, comparable houses will likely be in the 100-150 year range. I imagine Woodstone was built with better materials using “modern” techniques. Given that, I would not be surprised it needed less work, comparably. Also, maybe Hetty’s descendants were more successful in the long the run. I would actually like to see them make a go at the B&B business. Given how the Ghosts freaked out about one of them losing their rooms for one night, I’d like to see how they deal with a moderately successful business.
  13. I enjoyed this much more than last week’s. Last week, I was happy with the “Present Day” stuff, but annoyed by the flashbacks. I am glad they fleshed it out more and gave us more backstory on the Tusken Raiders. I still preferred the present day stuff more though. I like the running joke of them “missing” his litter. Clone Wars fans, have we met “The Twins” yet? All the Hutts seemed to blend together for me. The only one I remember specifically is, I think, his sister, with the weirdly whinny voice.
  14. 2 Episodes in, enjoying it more than last season. Spoilers for those to catch up.
  15. The line “Grab a Pink’s Hot Dog. Drink a twink’s egg nog” will not stop going through my head. That is just poetry right there.
  16. May we all find someone to look at us, the way David Thewlis looked at Olivia Coleman on their first date. And may we find someone who loves us enough to bury the bodies. I am loving the stage craft that is going into this during their statements. Their gestures lifting up the Fish n Chips was fantastic. I too always get a fish fry on Fridays. Did her parents have green blood?
  17. Maybe, instead of Dexter Morgan Forensic Expert, she really needs David Fisher Mortician. I just want Dexter and Harrison to get along. They have so much in common. They could be a formidable serial killing machine. But Dexter needs to take the first steps, and tell Harrison about his (Dexter’s) mother and brother. Ease into the whole vigilante killer thing.
  18. I think making Grey a really boy now will open them up to more stories, and the inevitable conflict as the two grow. Not gonna lie though, I got a bit teared up when Grey woke up and gripped Adira’s hand.
  19. Surprised there’s no thread for this. So far so go. The kids are certainly talented. (But in my experience, most orphans are extremely talented.) It will be interesting when Harry Connick shows up.
  20. And she doesn’t live there anymore. I know it’s awkward. I shared a wall with my parents. But you move on. She should have had a mail forwarded. It looked like her Amazon orders were still going there even. That’s just lazy. One thing I love is how they are working the new guy into the crew. I look forward to learning more about Ravi, and hope he stays long term. When they were heading out on that call, I did wonder who was driving the Ambulance with Hen and Eddie in the truck with the rest. I guess it was the nameless of the 118. Some day we will see them.
  21. I have the same question about how there is a Tellarte , one of the founding members of the Federation. I’m wondering if this takes place much later than we were led to believe, but the ship was lost in 2383.
  22. Here’s my question. What would actually happen to her? I mean Will Halstead still has a job. If he can’t be fired permanently, nobody can.
  23. I am finding Sue’s apparent absence from the call center particularly noticeable. I almost expect her to swoop in, see Caludette and say “Didn’t I fire you years ago? Why are you here?”. There has to be more to why she left. I think its interesting to compare Buck and Ravi (AKA Probie) with Claudette. It seems like Buck is actually trying to make Ravi better, because his “family” deserves the best. So he is trying to show Ravi how to do things, like disassemble a chainsaw, or how to put the battering ram away. He even let him use the ram, which looks like fun. Claudette seems to be trying to undermine May. She has gotten into May’s head, and is building shelf space. I have worked for someone like that. It was like he made it his mission to destroy my career. And everything he did to “help” was really used to build the case against me. That is what is happening to May. At least my nemesis was actually my boss. May needs to get her boss involved now.
  24. Here’s the one I listen to. https://www.strawhutmedia.com/onlymurders
  25. So I have watched the last scene a few times now and here is what I noticed. Charles and Oliver run into Mable’s apartment, we see Bunny on her side facing Mable. She has blood on her back, seemingly coming from a wound there. But there does not appear to be a hole in the hoodies. I am guessing she was shot, either in the back, or in the front and it went through and through. After she was shot, he hoodie was put on her. (My brother thinks her arms were not in the pulled through the sleeves, but I am not seeing that on my little screen I was using.) THEN she was stabbed in the front with Mable’s knitting needles, in what looks to be near the shoulder. (Is there an artery there?). That would account for all the blood on Mable. I wonder if there was any blood outside the door? Was it cleaned up? So this leaves me with the following questions. Who called the police? Why the heavy response? Who texted Charles and Oliver? Is the Detective trying to help? (I think yes) With 2 murders(recently at least) in the building now, how much is is an apartment in that building going for? So to sum up, Bunny was shot then stabbed. We now have to wait while to find out what the hell is going on.
