We have been celebrating the news since yesterday when the news was shared two pages back. We are still awaiting news on Jenelle. We can hope, but it is not certain she will be let go. *crossing fingers*

If MTV can get rid of Farrah, I don't see why not Jenelle. She is creating a hostile environment for her fellow co-workers when they have to make appearances together. Mainly, it was David creating those hostile environments, but Jenelle hasn't helped by sending out cease & desist letters, giving a negative interview about her co-stars, and being a demanding bitch. Farrah is getting raked over for her bitchy, diva attitude. Why is it Jenelle gets to remain on the show for the same behavior and behavior that surpassed Farrah? BTW, I am not directing my comments at you, it is just my thoughts. :-)

I get what you're saying :) Jenelle seems to understand the seriousness of what David said and did. To the point that I don't think she would publicly complain about it being unfair? Maybe I'm giving Jenelle too much credit here. It seems like Jenelle is more tolerant of the crew they have. Farrah's a hostile person seemingly all the time, especially to crew. I want to make it clear that I'm not defending Jenelle or hoping MTV keeps her on the show. I think MTV might find a way to reason keeping her on. I "liked" your post, but the part about Jenelle understanding the seriousness of what went down is what I can't agree with only because Jenelle has never owned up to her behavior in all these years. She always has an excuse for herself and David. I don't think she has the mentality to comprehend what exactly happened. She is just a heartless shell. It is why she is so blasé when explaining what happened to all the pets she had (they died under her care). She talks about it as if she is talking about the weather. Back to David, she just goes with the flow with whatever David says and does, and when he fucks up, she is there to try and defend him, as she did yesterday when she offered a half-ass apology along with the excuse that David is new to Twitter and didn't know what he was doing. When David first threatened the crew, that was the time MTV should have fired him and issued an ultimatum to Jenelle about her contract.

Well, I went from taking teen mom 2 off my dvr recording list to right back on after seeing that MTV actually made a smart decision and got rid of that piece of crap, waste of a human being. Now if we can only get rid of the other one. 

I'm with everyone that would love to see Barb replace Jenelle, and while we're at it, let's go over the the OG and replace Amber with Gary and Kristina. And if Brianna could walk off a short pier somewhere, this show might actually be enjoyable again.

I think these girls need to start worrying about their future careers though because I saw that they're revamping 16 & Pregnant and calling it Young & Pregnant and it actually looks pretty good. That may not bode well for TM OG and TM2.

Ive been waiting all day for an update from the  Viacom/MTV meeting. This is killing me. I’m guessing in this case no news is bad news and the hag is here to stay. 

Unfortunately, it probably means this.

BUT- there is a chance, however small, that Viacom and MTV are taking this time to seriously evaluate how much potential shit they're in with the general public. And I don't just mean with this one incident.

The majority of these cast mates have posted things on social media (or done things on camera) that are racist, misogynistic, homophobic, etc. They also routinely neglect their kids, alienate the other parent from their child, and openly endanger their kids while driving under the influence or texting while driving. 

 

Now MTV/Viacom isn't their parent or babysitter. They're not responsible for what they do and they shouldn't have to spend hours monitoring their online activity and reviewing all footage for potential offenses. But- they fired Farrah TWICE. And now there's talk that she's filing a lawsuit. So, this isn't getting swept under the rug and now it's looking like Viacom and MTV cares a lot more if a woman chooses to involve herself in the legal sex industry for work than someone on their payroll mistreating their kids. It's not aligned with MTV's morals to feature a woman who has a porn career, but they're just fine featuring a woman beat her up her boyfriend or husband? And seems to have learned nothing from it, as she continues to threaten others with physical violence? They were OKAY with continuing to pay a man who pulled a KNIFE out at a cast party? That hasn't been an issue because no one was really paying attention. But people are now.

 

I don't want to get too political, but the last 18 months have seen a shitstorm of media attention over how awful women are treated. Women are raped, and asked what they could have done to prevent the situation. Women are sexually harassed, and told they "misunderstood" the intent, or they somehow encouraged it. This is not a good time for a well known company to have a ridiculous standard over what constitutes immoral behavior (basically everything including driving under the influence, neglecting small children, and physical violence is fine, just don't have sex on camera or have a sex toy line).

 

Also add to that that MTV has had previous accusations of sexual assaults happening on camera during other shows, with less than stellar cooperation from the production company, MTV, and Viacom. Again, no one really paid attention. But anyone who wants to do a deep dive may find a long troubling history of MTV/Viacom's treatment of women.

 

MTV styles itself as a socially progressive entity that appeals to millennials. Millennials that, for all the complaints older people like me make about them, DO seem to have a goal of social equality and a hell of an online presence, is not the demographic Viacom wants on their asses about its poor treatment of women. What I am saying now, is this may go beyond Jenelle at this point.  People may be researching the story now and would be all like, um this guy that just got fired, pulled out a knife at a cast party? And no one said boo to him? Your reunion shows have turned violent, with security needed, and you continue to employ these people? Yet, you fired someone over their participation in the porn industry? Is that not incongruous?

Sorry to hear about your Hamish, @Bridget.  Nutro has an overall rating of 4 stars on dogfoodadvisor.com so it is a very good dog food brand.  I foster dogs and different dogs and breeds can have different stomach sensitivities so it isn’t always a reflection on the food, though people should always do what you did and switch it up if they see any issues.

On topic, Janelle is a huge bitch!  When I read that non-pology I totally read it in that voice she used in her 16 and pregnant when she tells her friends about the other teen mom at her school and how she is such a bad mom because she parties all the time and Janelle isn’t going to be like that, she is going to be a good mom.  She repeats it a few times with a voice completely and totally void of any emotion.  It’s like she knows she has to say it, but she completely disagrees with it so she says it in a terrible robot voice.

I think "Jolie" is a nod to Jenelle's French heritage on her mom's side rather than Ensley being named after Angelina Jolie, but I assume Jenelle only knew the name & knew it was French because there's a famous actress named Angelina Jolie (who has also talked about her mom's French heritage). 

Someone should ask Jenelle (without her phone nearby to Google), what Jolie means in French or from what region of France her family is from or what her French family's surname(s) are.  But we'd ask and then be like "Go ahead. I'll wait." (And wait forever.)

Don't worry. My kids eat breakfast at daycare (it's included in tuition). Kaiser's real moms (the daycare workers) most likely feed him breakfast every weekday morning. Whatever they feed him at daycare is probably a lot healthier than the usual hot dog Jenelle tosses Kaiser or the crumbs they'd give him if they took him out to breakfast.  Kaiser's probably excited to see his real moms, anyway, and doesn't want to hang out with Jenelle and David any more than he has to. 

It's still really shitty how they leave Kaiser out, though.  Ensley better watch out.  Pretty soon she'll become even more mobile and verbal.  She'll lose some of that cuteness to her parents when she can get into more and demand/ask for more attention, etc.  Plus, I don't think Jenelle and David will last together much longer now with the whole David-getting-canned thing, so Ensley better be prepared for Jenelle to be completely over her as soon as the child's dad isn't in the picture (except for when she can use her as a pawn against David).  Then Ensley will be completely replaced by the next soul mate's baby. At least she and Kaiser have each other.

Janelle has a real difficulty with words.  She struggles to use the correct ones, and usually settles with a word that sounds similar and may mean something similar.  But that just makes her sound like an idiot.

True enough, Kaiser is the worst off currently of the unfortunate offspring of Jenelle (none of whom are in great situations right now, sadly), but that doesn't mean eventually Ensley won't be worse off. When David and Jenelle inevitably split, that'll take care of 50% of what plagues Kaiser now, while plunging Ensley into the unwanted pile that her half brothers currently sit in. I realize David has a relationship with his older daughter, but I honestly think that is 1. to stick it to his ex, and 2. provide a babysitter. Ensley won't serve the second purpose for a long time and once David loses interest in Jenelle he won't be that interested in doing stuff just to fuck with her.  I really hope that Nathan's family stays in Kaiser's life, but I am not holding my breath.
