Now if Kyle had plowed down Drinkki and then Reed backed over her. Newman on Newman violence?

(Sometimes in snow the plows raise up hard humps of icey crap and you can hit them and it jars you but you should notice the fur clad grannie bouncing off your windshield.)

Stupid that Reed was driving with a suspended license in a blizzard with Charlie. And naturally, he hits his drunk grandmother. Charlie really needs to stop getting into cars with people, they all end up killing people. Sheesh.

I was hoping she was until that kiss.

I don't see what gender has to do with how long or short one wears their hair.

It's not the length that bothers me, it was that man bun! I'm sorry but they are just wrong. Ponytails are fine but buns? Just not going to get used to that.

Now I'm sorry I spoiled myself with that clip. You don't really think they are getting rid of Nikki? 😨

I don't think they are getting rid of her. It's been awhile since Nikki had a "life in peril" storyline. In the past it's usually Victor out of the two who has those. The last time I remember Nikki being on her deathbed was way back when her gyno husband's not dead wife who was working as their maid shot her and killed him.

Well, THAT'S a way to get Victor back in town!

That's one way.

Another would be to have his body returned for burial.  Not to worry, like

I bet they do too.  This will not only be vewwwwwwwwy vewwwy dwamatic, it will also give Nate a reason to live and something to do, now that Devon is all better.  I can hear the hectoring lectures now.

Holy shit, Reed runs over his grandmother, who killed his father!

Are they really letting WhyisNate operate?  I am catching up on two+ weeks of episodes and he is pretty much Gladys Kravitzing his days away.  Who thinks he has actual skills, as in, the surgical kind?

I don't get the accident.  We saw Drinki exiting the club and learn today it was via the back door.  But she didn't appear to be standing in the street.  This reminds me of when Drinki and Neil had their accident.  Do people just jump the curb in GC without noticing?

Wow, Shawna ghosts Charlie a week after she leaves, posts photos of her with a new guy and changes her relationship status to single!  That's cold.

Kerry has a lot of questions about Jack's past.

Nick is mighty angry with the bastard who ran over his mom, so much so he is yelling at nurses and doctors and cops.

Loved the special Hitchcockian effect when Reed realizes he plowed his grandma.

Poor Reed, this kid gets no breaks.

Again, I don't understand WhyIsNate is operating on Drinki.  Are they all crazy in GC?  He never goes to work at the hospital except when it is to operate on a friend or relative and make them worse.

Do y'all know about this site?

They usually have Canadian recaps every day. I've been reading it for years. The writer has her own opinions after the recap  which you may or may not agree with.

In the recap I read, Phyllis explains Jack and Nikki were married and he thinks of himself as Nick's stepfather. Kerry wonders how many wives he's had(ha!), and they're interrupted.

And before learning of the accident,  Kerry asks Jack about the Phyllis/Billy affair, and he said they survived it. He said he thought about reconciling with Phyllis, but it wasn't going to happen.

I'm glad they survived it because I'm still traumatized. lol

That is a great recap site, thanks @babyhouseman.  We should invite that recapper over here to commiserate with us.

Was he angry enough to knock over another Ikea nurses' station?

Well today was kind of dull, considering Drinki is hanging on by a thread.  In the end we find out she has a brain contusion. Which may or may not work itself out, according to WhyIsNate.  Rey Rey shows up to announce he is investigating the hit and run and Nick tries to attack him.  Hah!

Phyllis, Sharon and Vic now think that whoever hit Drinki is also the same person who moved the body and planted the bloody clothes in Drinki's bed.

Reed suddenly wants to come clean and Charlie convinces him not to, citing what happened to Lily when she confessed.  Whoa, I thought Charlie was the one that made all that happen, I guess he now regrets it and the lesson he learned was, deny deny deny.  So they go to some autobody guy who fixes the car in just a few hours.  What?  We also learn that Drinki was supposedly in the middle of the road, in spite of what we saw.  And Charlie seems to think that if you are in the middle of the road you deserve to get run down, especially when the driver's car is covered in snow and ice and he cannot see!

Fen is a dick to Ana when she offers to help him make a real demo, and then Kyle points out to Fen that he is stupid.  Which he is.  Fen then goes to talk to Ana and she points out that she has a background and education in the music biz and she will do his demo for him for free.

Kyle is planning some sort of South Beach party for Lola at the manse, in amongst the xmas decorations, so he has inflatable palm trees, flamingos and sand.  Wait till Dina or Mrs. Martinez see that!  Meanwhile Jack shares with Kyle that he has designs on Kerry.

Poor Dina will be confused. She'll falsely remember having a baby stranded with Victor's father on a tropical island. Or John Abbot buried a treasure chest on a beach, and the contents will change the Abbots forever!

Why did Victor allow Drinki and her new hubby live at the ranch? That situation with the woman masquerading as a maid reminds me of when Patty Cakes worked for Genie Francis with that weird lace mask over her face.

I think Nikki has always lived there, even when she wasn't married Victor. Plus, at the time, Victor was married to Diane and they lived in his Penthouse. That storyline was significant because it kicked Nikki and Diane's existing feud into overdrive. When Nikki got shot, everyone thought that she was going to die, so Victor asked Diane to fly to the Domincan Republic for a quickie divorce so he could marry Nikki on her death bed. Nikki made it through and Diane got shafted. Diane was justifyably pissed so she hired Michael Baldwin and ended up with a ridiculously large settlement from Victor. Then she found out about Victor's frozen sperm which resulted in her playing the nastiest game of Keepaway with Nikki and Ashley. Diane had no idea that Nikki had switched the sample and she introduced the baby to Victor as "Christian Victor Newman". I still remember to this day how her face cracked when she got the DNA results. I actually felt sorry for her.

Even though that storyline was icky at times, you could not stop watching- it was "must see tv".

Charlie has learned well at his father's knee, that whatever helps the Ashbys trumps everything and everybody else.  How long before he starts tagteaming Reed and everyone else who cares about Nikki to think about how the Ashbys are feeling, to remember that Lily is in prison for a long weekend, to quit whining and ask themselves, "What can we do for THEM??"

I'd say Diane was the clear winner here :)

That episode was so damn bad I couldn't even recall the bits and pieces.

Inflatable palm trees in the Abbott living room? Okay, Kyle. You're all worth a bundle--call a decent florist/horticultural/geenhouse supplier and have a couple of potted palmettos or baby palms sent over. Surely a sophisticated spot like Genoa City would be able to locate a couple.

And the supremely dull Sharon/Mariah dilly-dallying? Not for me--galz ending up with popcorn and movies. Nope.

The Fen crap? Don't even. He and the song sound like 150+ other singers/songs.

Strangest/worst of all--a bad piece of editing wherein Tessa suddenly shows up with Kyle, guitar in hand... Out of where? Yo, interns in editing, you passed Avid Systems 101, learn to check what you're doing.

The thing that got me was the bad CGI of frost coming out of Kyle, Tessa and Lola's mouths when they were talking. I mean A for effort for attempting to make it look cold out, but I found it distracting because it looked so fake.

Where is Dina? Does anyone care about her and her care anymore? Kerry is not the right woman for Jack in any way. He needs a woman around his age, who loves him for himself not his last name and who enjoys the same things he does. Geez, Louise, writers. Give this good actor his due!!

Tessa was with Kyle waiting for Lola at the Abbott home for, I guess, to sing some Beach Boy songs. He brought Tessa along to serinade Lola under her bedroom window.
