Eh, so a strong woman like Rosie [who actually has a dozen Emmys for her own show] is a bully but Babs had to arrange for Geddie to get a Daytime Emmy for lifetime achievement for the way he ran this show into the ground?

Who knows if this story has any merit but either way I say, "So what?" Rosie was brought in to make this show good again and it sounds like the anonymous source wants it to be business as usual. If she's shaking up production, then good for her; as far as I'm concerned the bookers from the last few years sucked.

Sounds to me like Geddie is planting bullsh*t stories again to stir the pot. You know he still has his boxers in a big old knot over getting the boot. That said, I'm sure neither Ro nor Whoopi are shy about sharing their opinions on or off camera.

I'll applaud anybody and any policy that reduces the number of reality show "stars" on my TV. If rosie is vetoing or reducing this, hurrah! Last season The View was spending A LOT of time talking about reality shows and people and also having them on as guests...way too much.

Full disclaimer, I do watch Million Dollar Listing, the real estate related show, because I love to see the houses...but I'm fine not seeing those realtors on any talk or other shows!

A spy says they were in the makeup room with Whoopi Goldberg and Bernadette Peters when security ushered Piccolomini out.
One staff member said, “They escorted her out like a common criminal.”

The Daily Mail is a lying-ass rag but I can believe ABC is desperate enough to try anything to get people talking about the show again.  ABC is probably cynical enough to think bringing Sherri and her drama back would get people talking.  Joy would be useless without a dum-dum right-wing talking point generator to play against.

 

The show is a boring mess, and Rosie O should have never been rehired and Whoopi still needs to be fired.

The Daily Mail makes shit up all the time.  Someone probably heard Joy say she missed it or something and anyone within earshot of Sherri knows she's not over it. 

 

If the ratings are falling among 18=34 year olds (really didn't know that was a big daytime demo, lol)  but if that's the demographic they are after I doubt bringing back a 70 year old and a 47 year old would help.  Maybe they should put someone on the show that's actually in that age group?  Doesn't seem like rocket science.    Oh, and 86 the co-host acting like the Old Wise Sage at the table who doesn't want viewers to tweet her while they're at it.

As someone in the 18-34 demographic I say YES please bring a co-host in that age group! Preferably someone late 20s/early 30s (I don't imagine a young Miley Cyrys or Ariana Grade type would do well at the table!)

I'd vote WG gone, RO Mod, Joy back, NW still there. Joy is more devoted to News that Sherri which is an understatement, I know.

RP has grown tiresome to my ears and I am not interested in her interests. IMO the show needs to smarten up, not go into the trenches of trash tv. Plus one former co-host also has awfully controversial legal issues coming up soon in court. And she could have a problem explaining not listening to The Voice telling her 7 years is enough.

Didn't Bonnie Hunt do her talk-show in LA for those two years?  If anyone was the successor to the crown of talk-show host/queen of nice after Rosie left the air the first go round it was this woman.  Her show should have been based in NYC and I think it would have been a bigger hit.

Wasn't the speculation I out Joy anf sherri coming back in an English publication that is sometimes right but often just spins stories and is known to accept info from "sources" that are often the celebrities or their agents? I think the story is not true and was printed to get some chatter going. And I wouldn't be surprised if sherri/her people planted it to keep her relevant and her name in the news.

I hope jeffrey is getting some stability and consistency in where he is living (apartment in city or at the house she,s trying to sell?) and in his schooling and therapies. Who's helping her with him while she,s in the play and traveling for her upcoming movie roles?

I know that article is most likely false...but if they're going to bring somebody back, PLEASE let it be Joy. That would make the show better for me, since it really hasn't been the same since she left. Unlike Rosie O., I don't think they'd muzzle Joy when it comes to politics, and Joy can play indirect as well as Nicolle. If it's that other monstrosity, I'm done. After all the hope this season seemed to give that they were elevating the show, only to run backwards at the first sign of trouble, just no.

 

I like Rosie P, but I like someone's suggestion of Eva Longoria replacing her. She was someone I suggested last year, and she is very devoted politically. As far as the voice police, hers is very nice, particularly her laugh.

Tonight there was another negative story about backstage bickering on the show. I couldn't link it but check out New York Daily News for a story titled "Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell brawl backstage at 'The View,' leave Rosie Perez in tears". It is accompanied by unflattering pictures of the ladies, a couple with old cohosts. Strange. Some person(s) at the paper is enjoying putting out negative stories and some person(s) at the show is leaking negative stuff if it is true. There are more newsworthy topics for e media to spend their time on! Every workplace has some conflict and I hope whatever is happening is being greatly exaggerated by whatever 'source' is providing the 'news'. Ferguson and Cosby are both controversial, touchy subjects and should not be treated lightly.

Im pretty sure the issues are exaggerated.... These are back to back comments..... the bold is mine for clarification.

Per Rosie, Monday's show will be live. Thank goodness. I'm just glad someone is there (finally) to call Whoopi on her BS. Every other host has been too intimidated, including BaWa.
