Several weeks ago, his former employer had posted something about Jay burning bridges with him. It sounds like he said it wasn't about him starting his own shop, but I never did see exactly why. I'm wondering if he stole clientele or something. Anyone know? Anyone care? Can't say I care very much, but do wonder if Ashley and Jay were frauding him and he got pissed about bailing him out and being part of the "Jay had sex with a client in the bathroom" lie, which made his tattoo shop look trashy. He agreed to it, though, so no real sympathy.

Since Deavan is getting a lot of attention at the moment, Ashley is trying to pick a fight. I guess Yates has the background and said it is that Deavan said she wouldn't have a tattoo done by Jay at his new studio several months ago, but Ashley is just now saying something about it.

Those tattoos are....not good. The proportions are off. The head of the player looks slightly too big. Hands, even for seasoned artists, are one of the most difficult things to draw. He shouldn't attempt hands....ever. His tattoos are as good as Zieds self portrait.

Not to mention how any weight gain and/or age will affect it. 

Not long ago I got some henna art on my hand (free at my library) and it would have been beautiful, except for the loose skin on the top of my hand which made the tattoo look ridiculous and made me feel really old.

I'm not defending Jay (his tattoos, at least at this point in his ink career, are not good at all...lots of issues), but, that said, regarding weight gain and aging, the same can be said about anyone getting a tattoo. We all know the potential changes based on weight gain/loss, aging, sun exposure, etc. Those factors have nothing to do with Jay's superstar (in his mind) tattoos and how they may change in the future.

Mini Persnickety wanted to get a tattoo of a fairy on her hip.

When I pointed out that her hip fairy could change in shape and size as she aged and gravity took hold, eventually reaching proportions that would make it look like something from a horror movie that could frighten small children, she changed her mind.  

I was grossly exaggerating in my explanation to her, but she got the point.  She's now looking for something more delicate on a different part of her body.  That hopefully won't eventually frighten small children.

I was at the beach one day and this very old lady came strolling down the beach right in front of me, she was wearing a thong bikini and there was a bow tattooed on the bottom small of her back with the ribbons trailing over the top of her butt.

I'm sure when she was young it was cute and sexy but now the bow was drooping and the smooth ribbons were a wrinkled up mess.
