Totally shallow note.  Abbie's tropical vacation wardrobe is fabulous, I covet all the cute sundresses. But how many days were they there and how much luggage did she bring?  That's a lot of wardrobe changes.  While JD seems to be wearing the same thing in every shot.

You have never seen me pack for a vacation!

They always look so happy together. And Abbie has an amazing figure!

So is his job to be a private pilot to apparently some wealthy people who invited them along?

We have seen her working out, so it appears she works for it. I think she is very pretty and they do look delighted with each other.

I'm thinking that must be what he is doing. If that is the case, then it is an actual real job and not just sponging off his father.

I never check luggage. If it can’t fit in my carry-on, I’m not taking it. You just need a few basics that can mix and match. Especially in a warm climate.Like a pair of white shorts can go with any kind of top and shoes. It can be very casual or you can dress it up. It looks like Abbie’s clothes could have rolled into a neat little small bag.

Although I haven’t been on a plane in a long time. We always have dogs that have to come along so we drive. Mostly up to see relatives, or the fact that we’re already in the south so we can drive to a lot of cool places.

They flew in a private chartered plane.  Carry-ons and luggage restrictions don't apply, unless they create several hundred pounds of extra weight.

Small jets can accommodate plenty of luggage for 4 people.  Abbie wasn't forced to cram a week of clothes into a small bag.

And you definitely don't have to stand at a baggage carousel inside the arrivals area, waiting for a glimpse of your bags along with several hundred other people.

Their plane would have been met on the tarmac by a car, and the luggage immediately offloaded.  They're travelling with the wealthy these days.  They are NOT the Duggars of 19 Kids fame anymore.

I haven't flown in years but I would not overpack if I did. We have been doing car trips and I can pack to my heart's content!

Funny story, in 1989, my parent's gave me a trip to see family in Germany as a graduation gift. I packed cute dresses and strappy sandals. Stupid me didn't check the weather! It was cold. I was lucky I had a one blazer, one sweater and one or two pairs of jeans. I wore those the whole trip and did go shopping for another blazer! My cute dresses? Never saw the light of day.

Well I can relate! graduated high school in 1961.  My grandma took me and my same age cousin to Germany in July to visit her son, our uncle who was military and stationed there.  He had four daughters, oldest being same age as me and other cousin.  And, who knew it was freezing in Germany!  We didn't think to go to the library and look up weather, etc.  The cousins stationed in Germany were not even close in size to me and cousin. I can't remember what we did.  I know we didn't buy clothes.  Probably as kids, just froze.

We have been checking our bags the last bunch of years.  Keep pills and chargers, etc. in carryon. we put an AirTag in the suitcases.  Also, we live near a major Hub so everything is direct flight.

Yes, never thought to check how the weather is at the time I was there. And my dad was German! I could have asked him!

I just made that mistake on a trip to the Midwest. I saw 70s for the week, and packed a lot of light clothes with only a couple of sweaters and a hoodie, and one pair of jeans. The first two days in Chicago were in the 90s. The day we left, it was in the 40s. I grew up in Chicago, so I’m an idiot.

I also like to travel by car because I always take a high toilet seat (I have some neurological problems), a fan to drown out noise, and my scale. Husband balks at the scale every time, but I like to see where my weight is going on a trip because I tend to eat way too much. Plus dog food, bowls, treats, food for the trip, on and on.

On topic: Do any of the grown kids have pets? I know Jill has a dog, but I don’t know about anybody else. Didn’t the Duggars always have some kind of a dog? I think kids should grow up with pets. My niece and nephew never were allowed pets, and now they grew up weird around animals. Bothering them and always wanting to pick them up. I’m sure the pets were a fun novelty to them. But most pet owners know that they usually don’t want to be bugged that much.
