As others have said, it's the attitude that bugged. Accidents happen, but to not even be slightly mortified is telling. Plus, I get the vibe that they thought it was fine to leave a mess because "it's Colombia." I'm sure if they were in Milan or Paris, they wouldn't have pulled that shit (pun intended). And yeah, I really hope she tipped well. But with this group, I doubt it.

Cartagena looked beautiful. I like that it's a colorful city. If I ever get the opportunity to go, I'd be interested. Also, the food looked awesome.

Eh, I don't think Carole was fired, either. All of the storylines are lagging because real life is boring. Most people don't have adventures during the day-to-day hustle. I go back and forth on how I feel about Carole, but I'm sure she'll be fine. The show was successful before she came along, and it'll chug along after. I'm fine with the core group.

I think Tinsley had it right -- the weather conditions really weren't all that bad.  A power boat in windy conditions is no fun, but Dorinda's overreaction "WE'RE TAKING ON WATER!!!" was just stupid and needlessly frightened the others.  Plus the boat will rock worse if you slow down.

It was unbelievable, though, to see the furniture and stuff flying around the boat when things got rocky.  I mean, it's just so basic to secure everything that can move BEFORE casting off.   

The fact that the anchor line had to be cut(!) makes me suspect captain and crew were just too inexperienced to handle that size boat, much less in choppy seas.  So it doesn't surprise me to learn there is a lawsuit now.

Remember, money can't buy you class, but it can pay for someone to clean up after your sorry ass. (sarcasm!)    Seriously though, I would've been mortified.  I know that shit happens (pun intended,) but I sure as hell would've been making an effort to clean up said mess so that the housekeeping staff wouldn't have had such a tough job.  Not that this has ever happened to me, but generally speaking, I always leave a hotel room as neat and tidy as possible.  It's just common courtesy to those folks who work pretty damn hard cleaning up after the likes of these ladies.

So Bethenny is hurt & made this big reveal about Carole being fired.  Don't count on anymore deets.  Andy Cohen probably called her right up & ordered her to shut her yap & not say anything else about his secrets.  Make no mistake -- Bethenny does not call the shots on this show.  Andy Cohen does.

I think this has been greatly exaggerated. We saw one skidmark, so Sonja claimed it, but it could have been something else dropped on the floor and dragged by the suitcase. She might have been kidding. My little niece was pulling petrified tiny pine cones off the shoreline and her dad was joking with her that they were really petrified Goose poops. Certain people just have a penchant for scat humor. I can semi understand a stain on the mattress, although not laughing about it, but I can't imagine any of these women leaving a trail of crap on the floor. If there are lawsuits, I don't think it has anything to do with the anchor line. It could have just deployed, and it was faster, easier and cheaper to just cut it . Cutting the anchor or it becoming deployed  didn't put anyone in danger. I mean, it's possible the anchor could have damaged a prop but it's not going to stop the boat while it's underway.

What would have been an offense is if there weren't sufficient life vests on board. If you get pulled over in United States waters without enough of them, it's ticketable. I don't know if you could sue over that unless someone got hurt.

FWIW, and for what little we could see of the captain, he seemed confident and calm enough.

Also are there liability laws in Columbia?  Most of the Caribbean doesn’t have them.  No where in the Middle East are there liability laws.  You need to sue a corporation that is incorporated in a country with liability laws.  So slip and break a hip ona marble floor in a public square in Oman, you’re on your own.  At least you did in a country with top notch free health care.

Ramona looks fabulous in her bathing suit at 61.  My daughter’s friend was walking shoulder to shoulder on 59th street with Ramona the day after the N.Y. Funny how Ramona kept bringing up her "bad" ankle throughout the trip but during the scenes after they got back from the boat trip showed her dancing. 

I'm confused about the diarrhea. I thought they had the paella for lunch the day before the boat trip. Was it from something they all ate on the island? I mean I obviously really don't care that much, but it seemed weird. 

Did Luann bring an extra bikini along on the boat? She was obviously in the white one, as evidenced in the photo. When she was getting ready to rehearse with Sonja, she came prancing in wearing a black bikini, which I really liked. I also thought that Carole was wearing a one-piece black bathing suit with her skirt (which actually was a very nice outfit.) It looked like on the boat that she was wearing some type of bikini covered by a diaphanous  green cover-up that had some type of print on it.  I will be watching eBay for Sonja's pee stained probably crab-infested bikini (and I'm not talking about the dead one that Lu threw on Ramona.)

Thank you, Gem 10, for the Cliff's Notes version of B&C's fall-out. I don't care for Bethenny (I actually didn't realize I was misspelling her name all this time.)  I didn't mind Carole so much last season, but I  now am halfway through season 5 when Carole was introduced and don't like what I'm seeing. (The Wall St. event where she asks if she's the 1%, etc.) Not to defend B, but if Carole and Adam were broken up, what difference did it make if Bethenny called him directly and asked him to donate services to her charity? Was she supposed to ask Carole for permission first? I don't even see what is so horrible about calling him an operator. I've called my friend's ex boyfriends and husbands a whole lot worse. That was based on what they told me about the men in question or personal observation. Who knows what Carole might have said to Bethenny about Adam after they broke up. Neither one are shrinking violets when it comes to dishing the snark.  How it got so blown out of proportion remains to be seen and we will probably never know as neither side is going to budge.

That is why it's never a good idea to diss your SO to a girlfriend, or anybody else, for that matter. Unless it's a therapist!

Any person who doesn't realize that they have a serious drinking problem would not be acting the way Dorinda did on the island. She isolated herself and sat off and was probably mentally beating herself up and replaying the encounters with Luann (that she could remember) over and over in her head. She was so remorseful. And even though Luann said she accepted Dorinda's apology, that wasn't good enough because Dorinda was probably so overcome with guilt and shame that she felt she didn't deserve it, not that Luann was being insincere. 

Think I'll go back to season 5. Sonja's really laying on the Lady Morgan thing thick. Ramona is an ass. Heather is a bitch and I haven't come up yet with a word for Aviva. I'm at the point where she's revealing all of her phobias. Isn't looking good. Carole is slowly emerging. Luann seems pretty tame so far. No Bethenny or Jill! Good old days!

Anchor lines don't deploy by themselves -- someone screwed up.  Having to destroy the anchoring system in order to make it to shore, and trying to use the anchor motor to bring it back up while they were underway are both text book examples of an inexperienced captain.  They should have turned the bow into the wind, put the engine in idle and winched up the anchor by hand.  Sure the boat would have been tossed around while they were doing it, but at least they would have kept the boat intact.

I had no idea about the nose, Re the teeth: I think she's had significant veneer work done but I'm pretty sure there is an underlying structural issue, maybe skeletal, that affects how her teeth "fit". It tends to worsen with age (one of the potential joys of aging is bone loss in our gums and jaws, which can make the teeth shift). Carole being so thin makes it more evident. This link from Bustle shows a pic of her in profile on her wedding day and her overbite is easy to see. There's also a massive typo in the headline and it annoys me,

I agree with most of what you said.  The thing that bothers me the most is that I don't feel that we got any concrete reason as to why the B & C friendship went caput..  At one point,  it seemed that they buried the ghost  hatchet, and were good to go.  The next episode, they're acting all distant and barely polite to each other.  I feel that loyal viewers deserved more insight and truth to why this friendship disintegrated.  I just don't buy the view that it's all because B is so needy, controlling, selfish, cruel, talks behind her back with nastiness, etc., etc.  Oh well, I guess the truth will reveal itself sooner or later.

Likely it deployed itself because someone didn't secure the ______ pin (sorry can't remember the proper name). Is that what you're thinking? If that's what happened, then it had help deploying itself by someone screwing up. But I don't think it's a sueable offense.

And bingo, why they didn't idle the boat and pull the anchor made no sense to me. Cutting it would've been a last resort but I disagree that doing so would destroy the anchoring system.  

Also, Carole saying, in her talking head, that the motors were revving  (Errrrrrr errrrrr LOL) but they weren't moving forward, made no sense to me at all, either. What's your take on that?

You're right. I think it is the way she angles her body in a pose and the type of outfit she's wearing. When she is turned slightly, she gives the illusion of being more shapely. Straight on, she looks like a 2 by 4. In this picture with that slight twist - she looks the best out of the group

2 examples: When she said the famous Be cool, don't be Un-cool - she was totally rocking that bikini and wrap.

You're right. I think it is the way she angles her body in a pose and the type of outfit she's wearing. When she is turned slightly, she gives the illusion of being more shapely. Straight on, she looks like a 2 by 4. In this picture with that slight twist - she looks the best out of the group

2 examples: When she said the famous Be cool, don't be Un-cool - she was totally rocking that bikini and wrap.

 

When she performed Girl Code on WWHL...No Bueno!

Lu has never been more off-key -- I think she hits notes that don't actually exist in music.
