Thursday: Guest co-host Ana Navarro; comic Mo'Nique discusses her headline-making fight for pay equality.

 

Friday: Guest co-host Tamar Braxton.


P.S : The View's ticket site says Meridith Vieira will be the co-host on Feb. 26th next Monday!

So Meredith will be on The View this month. Yay! I was worried it had been inexplicably cancelled. Can't wait to see Laurie Metcalfe, even if she is advertising Roseanne. And always nice to see Navarro again.

I'm laughing at the fact that they have two former co-hosts of two View knockoffs scheduled for this week (Peete/Braxton).

I wonder which version of Tamar we'll get, because her natural self doesn't seem like a fit for the show but it will be fun seeing her side eye other people. It worked on the Real, before she was fired, but I don't know about here. One thing is that if she disagrees with you, she'll let you know it. Not only by her words, but her body too. If she's doing a more humble modest thing, then I think it might work. Last time I've seen her in an interview she definitely seemed to have matured a lot, so we'll see.

If they get into some juicy political topics, then I hope she brings in some drama.

I actually liked Holly Robinson Peete on the Talk.. she was a good fit on that show.  She could be fun, as well as, talk about serious topics ( I still recall she was mad that SNL didn't have african american female comics so when the Talk was spoofed.. she didn't get spoofed.)

Holly is also very passionate about Autism. Her oldest son has it.  She is also a good actress, as well.. Holly will not hesitate to call out Megan on her bull..

Hopefully she’s out of the segment altogether like they’ve done before. It says “co-host” though so presumably she will be present during the entire show.

I adore Holly Robinson Peete. She has done so much good work for Autism Awareness. Her whole family has.

She has also developed a program to bring awareness to police officers about young men of color who have Autism and how to interact with them to avoid tragedies.  Her autistic son had gotten his driver's license and she was mortally afraid for him.. He is high functioning, but, he still has his limitations. Her devotion to her son is so moving...

English teachers, or Language Arts instructors for you youngsters,  all over the world are cringing and covering their ears.   Not once, but twice!!!!!! 

Surprised that Joy, as a former English teacher didn't interject, "have RUN, has RUN,  had RUN,"  automatically.  My son used to chide me humorously, when I corrected him or anyone else as a matter of habit on grammar,  or explain big  words.

At one point today, maybe after the Trump segment, you could tell Elsa wanted to say more, but stopped herself.  She seemed to be wanting to go down the road of,  hey, Whoopi and Joy, you were such good friends etc., but first Joy, and then Whoopi shut that down.

In addition to the eccentric comment, which truly made no sense, as Joy said, Elsa initially said you don't need to have any qualities to be Prez because the one in the WH right now proves that.  

Not sure why she wasn't there for the Black Panther interview, it seemed very odd for her to sit that out.

I thought Elsa looked better in the denim shirt and black pants than she has in pretty much anything else she has worn.

Okay, I’m confused. This show was taped on Thursday? A day before Black Panther was released, so how could Whoopi know it CRUSHED IT over the weekend? Or was that based on overseas numbers? Yeah, yeah, I had no doubt it would be the Number One Movie, but that was so...I don’t know. 

I’m glad Meghan wasn’t there, because she’d ingratiate herself and sound so fake and insincere. Or would have sat there and not say a word.

And again she proves what an uninformed ignorant fool she is. Eccentric is not the word she meant to use-but what Joy said-egocentric. The fact that the current person sitting in the White House has no experience came about for several reasons and not because he lacked experience. 

I’m also thinking the female comedian should have won. I LOVED her Bawawa and Hillary. And Melania.

As for Meghan trying to insinuate that “back then” 45 was sincere when he said “I love you” to Whoopi, so glad Whoopi disabused her of that notion. As well as Joy saying she was never friends with him.

I had read that it set a record or came near a record for advanced ticket sales. I assume she was basing it on that? (On the other hand, it’s Whoopi, so she could have just been talking.)
