COESpiral February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 At this point, if Javier manages to pull out a win, he's going to need security from the Japanese super-Hanyu fans. 5 Link to comment
Irlandesa February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I preferred Hanyu's skate yesterday but looking at his technical, I imagine Nathan is kicking himself for his short. 10 Link to comment

Souris February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Pretty sure Hanyu skated well enough for the gold. If he doesn't win, the judges will be torn apart by rabid Japanese girls. 9 Link to comment
BitterApple February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I thought Hanyu was good, but he had a few bobbles. I'd love to see Fernandez pull the Oksana Bauil and take the gold. 3 Link to comment
scarynikki12 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Ok this will sound weird but hear me out: I want Nathan to be fifth. It would be awful to miss the podium by such a small margin so better to be separated by one skater. 8 Link to comment

sweeks February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I was hoping that Javi could pull it off, but he seemed to lose steam after he made that quad a double. Link to comment

Why would the competitors care? Javi was hidden behind the wall while Hanyu skated. Should he be in his seat? Do you think Lindsay Vonn paid close attention to every single skiier who went down after she did? Maybe a better solution would be to take that camera out of the room if they don't like the look of it. I LOVE Man of La Mancha! 6 Link to comment

Moxie Cat February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 No matter where Nathan finishes, the U.S. has all three men in the top ten. Quite an accomplishment that no other country achieved. Sorry Ross Miner - I like you fine, but my guess is you wouldn't have been there. The U.S. picked the right team. 22 Link to comment

Growsonwalls February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Hanyu amazing technically but that LP didnt really do it for me. Just doesn't seem to fit him as a skater. 5 Link to comment
BitterApple February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Dammit, that popped quad killed his chances for the gold. Still an awesome skate, though. If he asked me to leave my husband, I'd have to fake outrage before saying no.... 8 Link to comment
sweeks February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Seeing the top three posing for a selfie just now was quite endearing. Nothing makes me happy like competitors getting along and having good sportsmanship. 16 Link to comment

The quality of the skating just wasn't that impressive. Take away the quads (and they weren't all there) and was that a good skate? I thought the last minute of Hanyu’s skate was really engaging and energizing and artistic, but before that I agree with you. It felt like a lot of “flail arms between jumps” to me. SO pumped for Javi!!!!! 2 Link to comment
