Not much different than TM!!!  TM crew probably couldn’t wait to get back to the Hampton Inn and laugh at Andrew.

Sofia is now home schooled?  Poor kid. At least with school she'd have a chance to be around other kids, I don't see a lot of kids in Farrah's life.

I haven't really been paying attention to the OG girls and just caught up on the new season up through last night.

I am absolutely flabbergasted that Amber is not only already with another guy, but that they are HAVING A BABY. Sweet Jesus I am glad to have seen Matt get completely dumped, but it did not occur to me at all that Amber could possibly walk so quickly into a potentially even worse situation that will now be almost impossible to get out of once there is a child involved. 

WHAT. A. MESS.

Did Farrah really get fired? I wouldn't mind not seeing her anymore. I can't stand any of them, particularly delusional Deb with her insane-making baby talk. Poor Sofia. She's going to be an even worse teenager than Farrah once she ages and gets some traction on her mom. She's going to treat Farrah just like Farrah treats Deb - like trash. Not that Deb doesn't work my last  nerve, too, but wow, is Farrah mean to her or what. And just no with all the hair extensions, botox, belly shirts, trying to dress 30 years too young, and the wedding of the century (her wedding dress has a TRAIN?? REALLY??) where her "fans" have been invited. These are all crazy people and fame is gasoline being poured on the fire. 

I feel bad for Catelynn. I get this strong vibe that Tyler wants to get at least one more kid out of her before he cuts bait. She looks like his mother and it's only gotten worse every season.

Goats, horses, ducks, chickens, dogs, pigs ... don't any of these people ever have a nice cat or something that's not a complete nightmare to take care of?

Ryan & Mackenzie's engagement photo shoot was a bad joke. Don't they realize that the point of those things is fooling people into thinking their love is idyllic? We've already been behind the scenes. We can see that the photo shoot is stupidly staged ("we're walking and talking and laughing ...") and we know you held Ryan hostage to get there. Also yes, he's clearly using something again. He was all checked out playing with that truck and Mackenzie was looking at him hard the same way she did in the car. That marriage is going to be a nightmare, but watch her get pregnant by him just so she's stuck to this loser for the rest of her life. On the other hand, she probably deserves it.

I won't hate on Maci or Tyler. They're not perfect but I don't think they are terrible parents and Maci is definitely not as bad as the rest of them.

I just finished watching and oh my goodness you can tell Gary almost HATES Amber these days. He’s so over her shit and the depression card she uses for being a lazy mom.

If you’re not able to parent your child during breakups then maybe you need to stop dating men until you get the help you need and are stable...until then, be with Leah and forget about the men.

Amber getting all pissed at Gary because he’s over her last minute “can I come see booboo” even though I’m eight months behind on child support. He’s not a willing participant on the “gotta show this new dick I’m with that I love my child and really am a good momma and Gary just wants to keep her from me...” storyline she feeds new men like Jenelle does with her band against Barbara.

Amber was lying when she said she could “100% pay the child support” she said that for the cameras, she doesn’t have $9600 to give Gary for Leah, that’s for her NewMatt to have so they can go and buy an RV. 

When Amber started crying there wasn’t an ounce of sympathy being thrown her way. Even Leah looked detached to Auntie Amber on the couch. Like, dang this lady won’t stop kissing me and asking if I’m distraught over the breakup with that creepy dude that was Inlove with himself. She’s like “I’m Okay! Seriously Auntie Amber, I never even liked the guy get off my back!” Leah is more depressed about her mom not wanting to see her than she is over her moms pathetic breakup - Ambers acting like she broke up with the girls FATHER and getting a divorce. It was just your sleazy BOYFRIEND. She was over it as soon as she got your text.

The opening scene with Maci was nails on a chalkboard. I didn’t think Maci was EVER going to get to the point. Hurry up and spit it out already.

I feel bad for Sophia. I hope MTV has professionals explaining to these children about their rights and the impact of having all of the sensitive moments being aired for millions to watch and judge. They don’t understand that everything they’re doing on tV will follow them around for LIFE because their parents sold their privacy for a few high end cars and homes that they will never make profit on because they rent. 

Sophias future college friends and employers are going to see her growling at her grandmother while also having lunch with pornstars at eight years old!!! At her age, I felt awkward being around adults in bathing suits, I couldn’t imagine being around a sex industry and their employees at a tender age in a girls life.

I 100% agree with this! Those scenes were gut wrenching to me. I'm also a parent. I can't imagine having to make that choice at 16 (and I had reasonably stable/supportive parents, unlike Caitlin) and then see it play out while actually raising a child. The "what ifs" would eat me alive 

Cait has faults like the rest of us, but I do very much feel for her. There was no universe in which she could've succeeded with the mix of toxic people surrounding her. And I don't even want to start with that hack of a social worker.

Those stills got me too.  I did really feel an inkling of how hard it must be for her to see this lovely, bright little girl and think that she could have done that. She couldn't have, but the dream is there and you can see the pain in her face.  IDK which is worse, seeing Carly or not seeing Carly? Cate needs real therapy and soon. Poor thing.

I wonder if Amber will behave the same way during her delivery than she did with Leah's birth. If I remember correctly,  she brought TACO BELL to the hospital. Then got tired of pushing and did not want to do it so she kinda got in a small dispute with her doctor but he eventually have in and did the C-section. Then going home she complained about Leah's crying, etc..because she was in too much  pain from C-section

I think part of it is that when they were 16 and pregnant and decided to give up their baby, they had no idea that they would be on the MTV gravy train for so long and able to earn pretty decent money doing that. I know that when counseling women who choose abortion or adoption, they usually will tell the women to write down their reasons for their choice and to put it in an envelope and keep it with them. Because at some point you're going to feel loss and remorse over your decision, and if you can refer to the state of mind and circumstances you were in when you made that decision, it might be easier to deal with. 

But honestly, in 10 years Carly will be free to seek them out if she wishes and I'm going to bet that they're going to have some sort of relationship.

The entire Abraham-Danielson tribe is just so creepy and weird. I was watching this in bed this am and my husband woke up to see Sophia during the dinner scene. He said, "Well, I'm up for the day. That child will give me nightmares". She was truly disturbing with her behavior. For one, I don't think that all of her anti-David attitude was born in a vacuum. She's repeating her mother, and it's damaging her relationship with her crazy, but loving (to her) grandma. Also, she's just acting fucking bizarre about it! She does not come across as an 8-year-old at all. (Is she 8? Close to it.) No one has ever properly showed her how to handle conflict and express herself properly. And they likely never will. 

And how unnecessary and rude was it for David to remind Deb that HE'S not counting the days until the wedding???

 

WHY the fuck are Ryan and Mackenzie getting ENGAGEMENT photos when they're already married???? If it were any other couple, I could even begrudge the do-over wedding. I didn't give Chelsea shit for two weddings. I found her reasons valid, and it's her life....so whatever. But they only want a do-over because the groom was stoned out of his mind on the big day. Except, they're just acting like that day never happened! Do another wedding, whatever....but you don't deserve engagement photos. I'm sorry. You just don't. 

And Ryan was acting fucking weird during the scenes that proceeded them fighting. Mack is barely holding back 10 million pounds of anger and resentment. I'd really hate to be in that house when cameras aren't around.

So Tyler and Catelynn really dragged a whole fucking posse down to NC, didn't they? I find it interesting that Grahama's birth mom ALSO went on to have more kids of her own. I doubt it happened with the same guy, though. That's the whole problem with this situation. Well, it's the show. Without the show, Cate and Ty would have broken up. Without the money, they probably would have gone to college or at least started working and eking out a working class existence. All their life turns would reinforce that they did the right thing in giving Carly up. Instead, they are still together, have a bunch of money, and kept the second kid they had together. So, of course, they're going to ask - "Why didn't we keep the first?" 

It's just all so fucked up and I get why it would eat away at them. Which is why, in their case, I'd recommend a shit ton of counseling and CLOSING the adoption. It's not healthy for anyone. And B&T are simply to nice to set down more boundaries.

First she's crowing to the producers (looks like she got new ones?) about how she learned her lesson after Matt. How? Oh, you mean that instead of rushing into things with a guy you barely know, you've decided to GET PREGNANT by a guy you barely know? Yea, big lesson learned there.  She said she got a background check on him? Bullfuckingshit. If she did, she got scammed. Because she missed EVERYTHING. 

I mean, you know it's bad when Gary is openly displaying his contempt for her. He usually tries so hard (well, here in the last few years) to be peaceable, for Leah's sake. And I appreciate how hard it is for Kristina, as the step-mom. She's trying to keep to a certain role in Leah's life, but when Amber isn't filling HER role, it forces Kristina to have to step in. 

Amber just comes around for the cameras. That's all there is to it. She can bitch and whine about depression all she wants, but plenty of depressed people look after their kids on a daily basis. Moms do what they gotta do.

David is an asshole.  Yet I'm kind of glad in a really bizarre way that DebzOG isn't letting the Satanic Gilmore Girls rule her life.  how fucking creepy was Soph's voice from the bathroom "I don't want to see her if she marries Daaay-vid?"  *shudder*.  that poor child has *no* chance to be a normal person. 

Also, I tried really hard to never involve boy-child in grownup family conflicts.  If I was mad at his grandma, he'd be none the wiser, I'd talk nice (or at least neutral)  about her as I always did.  I get that in some extreme cases, that's not appropriate, but Sophia knows and has seen too much for a child.

Amber is still crying over Matt and saying she's sad that they can't be together (he sent her pictures of *pills*?  WTF, you manipulative asshole?) yet there's a new guy at her house who she's seconds away from getting impregnated by.  And how wonderful it is that this baby is being born, because she loves parenting so much....hold on, what???

Nova is lucky that she can "talk words" at all.  I know you can't *really* carry on a convo w/a three-year-old, but you can ask follow-up questions or point things out, as opposed to just parroting their words back at them and saying "Park?  Yeah!"

Amber is pathetic. She values being with a guy vs. spending time with her daughter. If I was Gary I would have lit her ass up and let her know she is a shitty parent, he was way too nice. It's sort of like they accepted the fact that she just comes and goes as she pleases. Poor Leah. Thank goodness she has Kristina stepping up as her mother. Amber's new boyfriend looks and sounds creepy. I have no doubt that he will probably end up leaving in a year or two leaving Amber stuck with the baby that she would want nothing to do with as she wallows in her self pity underneath her covers.

Brandon and Theresa need to close the adoption already. Clearly it is becoming more emotional for Catelynn and Tyler to see Carly now that they have Nova. It would be better for everyone involved if they just close the adoption and Catelynn and Tyler can move on instead of constantly b*tching about Brandon and Theresa and how they don't see Carly enough and Catelynn going into her depression mode. BTW Catelynn should focus on taking care of herself, I didn't realize how much weight she had actually gained.

Mackenzie likes to pretend that her and Ryan are deeply in love and their life is all cupcakes and rainbows, those engagement pics are not fooling anyone. It was evident in the way Ryan was acting thinking everything was a chore for him....and I agree with the producer. Why take engagement photos when you are already married?

And don't get me started with Farrah... Sophia says the things she does about Debz OG because that is all she hears from Farrah. She is going to grow up to be just like Farrah and then all of the bad plastic surgery will follow....also Debz OG needs to learn to dress and act her own age.

And Ryan was acting fucking weird during the scenes that proceeded them fighting. Mack is barely holding back 10 million pounds of anger and resentment. I'd really hate to be in that house when cameras aren't around.

So Tyler and Catelynn really dragged a whole fucking posse down to NC, didn't they? I find it interesting that Grahama's birth mom ALSO went on to have more kids of her own. I doubt it happened with the same guy, though. That's the whole problem with this situation. Well, it's the show. Without the show, Cate and Ty would have broken up. Without the money, they probably would have gone to college or at least started working and eking out a working class existence. All their life turns would reinforce that they did the right thing in giving Carly up. Instead, they are still together, have a bunch of money, and kept the second kid they had together. So, of course, they're going to ask - "Why didn't we keep the first?" 

It's just all so fucked up and I get why it would eat away at them. Which is why, in their case, I'd recommend a shit ton of counseling and CLOSING the adoption. It's not healthy for anyone. And B&T are simply to nice to set down more boundaries.

 

Amber can got get fucked. And fucked some more. Her scenes last night just made me hate her even more. First she's crowing to the producers (looks like she got new ones?) about how she learned her lesson after Matt. How? Oh, you mean that instead of rushing into things with a guy you barely know, you've decided to GET PREGNANT by a guy you barely know? Yea, big lesson learned there.  She said she got a background check on him? Bullfuckingshit. If she did, she got scammed. Because she missed EVERYTHING. 

I mean, you know it's bad when Gary is openly displaying his contempt for her. He usually tries so hard (well, here in the last few years) to be peaceable, for Leah's sake. And I appreciate how hard it is for Kristina, as the step-mom. She's trying to keep to a certain role in Leah's life, but when Amber isn't filling HER role, it forces Kristina to have to step in. 

Amber just comes around for the cameras. That's all there is to it. She can bitch and whine about depression all she wants, but plenty of depressed people look after their kids on a daily basis. Moms do what they gotta do. 

I agree with your whole post, the part I bolded  started me thinking. Why haven't B&T made these visits stop. I get that they are nice kind people who have wanted to leave an opening for C&T to see their daughter from time to time. I just can't see myself dealing with all this BS (Teen Mom, MTV , crazy fans.) I would never let our visits happen while TM was filming. If they can't bring  themselves to say absolutely no more visits, they could definitely say not while you are filming. Idk, I couldn't deal with all the "she misses us" or "she called me daddy" (Tyler a few years ago).  That stuff just makes  C&T fans "scream give them their baby back!" I'm sure they are nice. I just think I'd have a hard time with these delusional people.

I think it's a real tricky situation for them as well. I think Teresa, especially, has a soft spot for Cate. And I think if they shut everything down, they'd likely get even MORE attention from crazy fans than they are now. Can you imagine? I'm sure it's a real fine line to walk, and I do not envy them at all.

The problem with that is they don't have a crystal ball to know how Carly will feel about that later. If they completely break it off, it could come back to haunt them later. Carly's only 8 or 9 right now, but she's just a few years away from turning into a teen who will have a LOT of questions. Most parents at least get a pass on their kids having questionable memories of the younger years. Not these kids.

I’m really starting to get pissed off for the sake of the children on this show. Most people when they grow up are able to embellish about their upbringing a little bit if they’re ashamed of something. Obviously not lie, but not shout to the rooftop to everyone about their childhood.

When Sofia is in college she will have to defend to a lot of people about her mom selling her Butthole and vag online. I know it’s a legal profession but most people in the industry go under a pseudo name and have any connection to family members not be obvious. Teenagers and twenty somethings in college are not that kind or forgiving to something like that and may bully Sophia.

Or Nova will be teased about her mom taking her grandmother to “boogie town” on the way to get a pig. Then for her mom to simultaneously enter a rehab after the pig impulse. While at the same token having everyone know her grandfather beat her grandmother and was in prison for drugs and domestic abuse. Any future in-laws she tries to become family with are going to scrutinize their son for choosing Nova knowing that she’s predisposed to a family life of drugs, addiction and abuse.

Bentleys dad was filmed nodding off in a car to his fake wedding while his mother was caught drinking shots while pregnant with her third oopsie baby before marriage while having videos of “gingers last binger” floating around on social media.

Everyone will know that Leah’s mom chose man after man after man and even prison over parenting her. Her mom is on video storming after a pornstar while dressed like a Marilyn Monroe drag queen.

I’m not trying to judge anyone for their mistakes because we’ve all made mistakes that we wouldn’t want our children and their friends - friends parents to know about but ours isn’t on television.

 

I’m still traumatized over hearing my parents bed creaking when I was 19 years old. Or when I caught my mom flash my dad her mountains while we were on summer vacation, I couldn’t imagine seeing and having to relive on video what the Teen mom franchise children have been exposed to.

I guess all of my babbling is getting at is, I feel genuine sadness for these children who had no say in whether they wanted to be apart of the Truman show. I mean, what if any of them wanted to be in law enforcement or become a teacher or a doctor where their background will be SCRUTINIZED so severely that the investigator will see ALL OF THE FOOTAGE OF THEIR LIFE GROWING UP AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS. ?

I have a friend that was having a background check done for the government job and they grilled him about a second cousin being in jail...these kids are going to have a hard time with respectable employment. You know their parents aren’t saving them a trust fund aside from Chelsea or maybe Gary. 

I’ll shut up now. I just foresee a lot of angry and resentful teenagers/adults in the future. ? Innocent children.

C&T were definitely disrespecting B&T's limits and boundaries with the partial pics of Carly.  Not cool.  Not cool at all.

Honestly, as much as it may hurt Catelynn, I hope B&T never offer an afternoon again.  Catelynn wasn't happy with just the trip to the park and wanted a beach DAY.  Nothing will ever make C&T happy except for Carly moving in with them --- which is never going to happen because the child is being raised in a different class with a different set of values and standards.

As to Leah's surprise drop-ins at Gary's: Not to mention that Kristina (Leah's real mom) has another child whose father doesn't allow to be filmed. What if Kristina's older daughter was at home when Amber decided on a whim to get her ass up to go visit Leah at Gary's for the benefit of showing what a great mom she is to NewMatt and MTV? Are Kristina and Gary supposed to surprise-announce to the girl's dad that she'll be returning home in a few minutes (if the distance between where they and Kristina's ex live even makes that possible)? Are they supposed to lock the girl in her room, tell her not to make noise, and to basically make herself seem nonexistent in her own home so some deadbeat woman can play mom for the cameras to her stepsister for a few minutes?  Amber is so damn inconsiderate. Other people do have lives and responsibilities besides laying in bed and ordering food delivery, Amber. 

 

As for Teresa and the situation with Carly/Catelynn (& Tyler): A few posters have commented up thread about the look of heart break on Catelynn's face while she hugged Carly. IMO, Teresa sees that look and has a similar response, too. THAT is one of the major reasons why, IMO, Teresa (& therefore, Brandon) hasn't closed the adoption. 

 

Also, Frenchie from Rock of Love was on this episode? I usually don't watch but just read here but I DVR episodes just in case I need to watch something important like Ryan getting married high AF. I'm going to have to watch this episode because yesssss this is one step closer to my ultimate dream of some kind of vh1 2000s CelebReality shows-TM crossover show!  I really wish some of the girls from RoL and Flavor of Love would school the TM girls on life (not Frenchie, as she's too "nice," I mean girls like New York, Heather & selected others from RoL, Saaphyri, Buckwild, etc.)

Catelynn is NOT Dawn’s client. Brandon and Teresa are/were her clients.  Dawn is under no professional obligation to assist C&T.  Catelynn most likely waived representation during her pregnancy and had no advocate looking out for her. Not even her dirtbag parents could be bothered to help.
