Wonder if this will affect BR's shooting for LoT?...

It shouldn't - IIRC filming for Legends S3 wraps up at the end of February, since they only have 18 episodes.

Well and also this I guess. :)

When I read live-action Anastasia, I thought it was a live-action remake of the 1997 cartoon. But alas, disappointment.

That's what I thought too! Especially since Disney bought Fox, they now own the rights to Anastasia, right?

LOL I thought the same thing. I was ready to tell a great friend they were remaking one of her favorite movies then saw its not a remake

I believe they do. I saw a meme on Facebook once about being thrilled that Anastasia was now a Disney Princess but I don't know how accurate that is

Me too! I loved that movie when I was a kid! It taught me that the Russian Revolution has less to do with communism than it did with evil undead wizards!

Disney doesn't own anything yet. The deal still has to go through Regulatory and be finalized by board/investors.

Maybe by the end of this year maybe 2019.

Routh, who appeared in “Superman Returns,” currently has a recurring role on “Arrow”

It may be nitpicky of me, but, GAAAAAAH!!!!!!! It should be "had a recurring role on Arrow," because I haven't seen him on Arrow, on a recurring basis, since he left!

In the new print issue of TV Guide, I read about this series called The Ministry of Time coming to Netflix - and thought of Legends of Tomorrow...

I believe this is the Spanish tv series described on IMDb here.

Yep.  And it was the show that supposedly inspired Timeless.

When are we going to see Rip Hunter on Legends of Tomorrow? — Benjilau
Very soon! In fact, his reappearance is tied to the introduction of Wally West on the Waverider, set for the Feb. 19 episode. “Wally is brought to the team by Rip Hunter, of all people, and once he meets them, he realizes this is a good group to stay with,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim teases of the speedster’s arrival.

Smith-Forge, who exited her role as CBS TV Studios' senior vp cable programming in April to return to the agent world at Verve, will now oversee all of Berlanti Productions' TV series in production. She will work closely with the showrunners of each series — including The CW's The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, Supergirl, Black Lightning, NBC's Blindspot, Lifetime's You, ABC's Deception, DC Digital's Titans and Netflix's Sabrina to hire directors and writers and facilitate production of the shows.

"I am beyond thrilled to be joining the group at Berlanti Productions," Smith-Forge said. "I've admired this company and the people within it for several years. What they've been able to achieve in such a short amount of time is simply phenomenal. Not only are they incredibly prolific producers with great creative instincts and a wide range of programming, but they are also fantastic people. That I have this opportunity to join their ranks is truly exciting on both a creative and personal level."

If you didn't already know, Sara Lance is in this tie-in book (just out Jan. 30) about what happened during the five months between S5 and S6 of Arrow...

Book review: Arrow: Fatal Legacies, James R. Tuck

... Plus, Sara Lance returns!
*  *  *
Rest assured, the characters talk plenty too, whether arguing about nicknames or divulging long-buried feelings. As on the show, food and pop culture are popular subjects. Did you know Oliver is a fan of the blues? Well, now you do. Tuck nails each person’s voice, from Quentin’s sarcasm to Felicity’s self-conscious rambling; you can practically hear them speak. Also, just as crucially, he withholds information when appropriate. Sara lets Team Arrow believe that she is in town for a casual visit, when in reality, she wants an escape from her humdrum job at Sink, Shower & Stuff.

In general, Sara is a welcome presence. Her intimate-yet-professional rapport with Oliver brings back bittersweet memories of season 2, and she instantly gels with the newcomers. Especially delightful are her interactions with Dinah (aka Laurel’s successor), which make me wish they got to partner up more often.

I'm confused. Sara's job at Sink, Shower, and Stuff was IN Star City.  She patrolled at night I thought and worked the soul sucking job to pay the bills.  Are they now saying she was working in a different city and she was only there for a visit?

I skimmed the book (might put full thoughts on the other thread later), but they only mentioned Sink, Shower, & Stuff once in her thoughts about being ok with staying around longer since if she said goodbye she'd have to go back to work. She never shared it with anyone and only talked about being with the Legends and time traveling, so my head canon was just that she wanted to keep it a secret from Team Arrow that they were basically fired and that she works a random job now.

People on Twitter called it Olicity fan fiction and complained that Sara was a shipper.

People also call Arrow the show Olicity fan fiction, but that's not a totally accurate assessment. From my understanding there are only a couple of Olicity scenes in the book. It's just that Olicity fans talked them up on twitter a lot because that's what they are interested in.

That's what I gathered from the handful of pages and tweets I saw. It didn't seem like Olicity was much in the book except for a scene or two and some mentions here and there. Which is not surprising considering that's how it is handled in the show as well. I want to know how much Sara is in there. That's going to be what pushes or pulls me back from buying the book.

Okay, I just watched this week's Lucifer. What's the over/under on Piercifer becoming a thing? Because the Two Toms have, like, insanely mad levels of chemistry.

Definitely more chemistry between those two than with the Detective and Luci :P

I kind of like the low-key dynamic between Lucifer and Chloe. A ship doesn't have to be mad hot for me to enjoy it. But I certainly wouldn't complain if Piercifer was a stepping stone on the way there - I don't just mean a fling either. They're both immortal (sort of) and lonely; they're sufficiently different in outlook and temperament to find each other intriguing and keep things interesting; Lucifer is pansexual and Cain, after multiple centuries of self-inflicted trauma, would probably be hopelessly attracted to anything that isn't going to die on him in a century. From a storytelling perspective, if Cain is going to leave at the end of the season it makes sense for him to have a reason to stay, and for Lucifer to want him to stay, in order to make his dying something more complex than Cain getting what he desires most.

Look, it's not going to happen. Genre series on network television are still too chicken-shit to go there. All I'm saying is this: if that conversation on the balcony had been between Lucifer and a woman, we'd be taking bets right now on what episode they'd be sleeping together.

IS TITANS CASTING RA’S AL GHUL?
FEBRUARY 2, 2018 NIGHTWING
http://titanstv.net/is-titans-casting-ras-al-ghul/

Not content for us having different actors playing Ra’s al Ghul in Batman Begins, Arrow and Gotham, a casting breakdown posted by That Hashtag Show implies that yet another Ra’s actor may be on the way — for DC’s streaming Titans.

Here’s the breakdown so you can see it for yourself:

Male, 40s-50s, Middle Eastern, Latin, or East Indian. Seeking a young Richard Attenborough type. Fearless, manipulative, with unparalleled intelligence. Recurring guest star, seeking recognizable faces only.

Titans is coming to the still unnamed DC Comics-based streaming service which just announced a Metropolis series. Also on the service will be a third season of Young Justice, titled Young Justice: Outsiders.

Or a series with single father,  Charlie Decker solving crimes with the devil.

I rag on Luci and Chloe a bit but I actually don't mind them at all. It's not like they have anti-chemistry. I enjoy the supporting cast so much the ship is a very low priority for me. It's just there, not a plus or a minus. I love the interactions and dynamics of the supporting cast. TBH, I'm more curious to see what happens next with Dan and Charlotte, and Maze, Linda and Amenadiel.

I'm happy with this if it's temporary, but if they make it permanent it's just another example of the shows promoting masks over non-masked heroes.

(Kinda like with Felicity in LoT - enjoyed it as a one off but I love my ninja hacker goddess mask-less. If that makes sense. Haha :P)

I think it is temporary thing which is why I liked it a lot. I love Iris as she is and don't want to changed it.

I enjoyed that episode of LoT and seeing Felicity/EBR wearing a superhero suit too. I just wished they had her on more scenes though.

I AM SO MAD AT WHAT THEY MADE IRIS SAYI FEEL LIKE I CAN'T LIKE HER ANYMORE AND THAT MAKES ME SADDDDD.

I think if I was invested in her character as I was in season 1 I'd move past it. But tbh I just don't care about her anymore (and not because of what happened in 409). Iris in season 1 was my favorite, and personally, I can't connect with or respect the woman who we see today. A woman life revolves around her husband to the point where all she needs in life is him. I just don't think that's really healthy or romantic.

Imo it's funny because even though Iris has more of a PoV and agency this season (which is great!) she lost her ambition and life outside of her husband (which is terrible). Then they shoved her into a role which doesn't suit her nor is it one that we ever saw her really want. I don't even know why she even wants to be the team leader. IMO the show spectacularly failed a potentially amazing character for me and that's a shame.

Eh, I can see why Barry would want to pick his battles with his cranky new bride.

I quit The Flash in S2, but add me as another person who loves Barry and Felicity's friendship. Arrow 208 and 209 are still two of my very favorite episodes, and the two of them were just so cute together. I'm always happy anytime they get to have scenes together.

I've been rather disappointed that Barry and Felicity's friendship had taken a backseat. It's all about Oliver and Barry now and although I do enjoy the guys I've missed Barry and Felicity. I hate the crossover that had the Hawks but Felicity and Barry's hug at the bunker and the convo of them catching up (plus Felicity's excitement over her pigs in the blanket) never fail to make me smile.

Now I'm mad at the Arrow verse writers who can't seem to stop taking away Felicity's friends from her. I mean, I know she and Barry are still friends but he seems more like Oliver's friend now.

She was just mentioned but it was IMO an important and vindicating mention.  They had a question they wanted Ray to answer about the Dwarf Star alloy he used in his Atom suit to shrink and "embiggen" things (loved they used Ray's word again) since they needed to figure the tech out to unshrink Cisco and Ralph, but they couldn't get a hold of Ray so they called Felicity and SHE HAD ALL THE ANSWERS.*  Which to me is just added proof of how much she contributed to the actual building of his suit in the first place which I in the past got into arguments over in other places.

*The fact that Harry for some reason didn't test his ray to see if it would work is on him (not to mention completely out of character) and it's not Felicity's fault the tech operated differently than the meta's power and thus couldn't be so easily reversed.

We also find out that Harry is very salty towards Ray and his scientific genius. It made me want them to have a scene together during the next crossover, where Harry keeps being snarky towards Ray, while Ray just cheerfully ignores him and continues being as nice as ever.

I also love that Felicity knows ALL THE THINGS and saves the day even off screen on other shows. I think that, to an extent, the reason Felicity hasn't been as focused on in her interactions with other characters is pandering towards the "Felicity and Friends" crowd complaining about what an alleged Mary Sue she is. I mean, maybe not, but it seems like it might be a part of it.

I hate to give a semi-serious answer but the rule of Superman is that he has an invulnerability aura that extends to anything very close to his skin so that would include his suit and I guess the same would apply to Kara.  How the hair stays perfect I can't say.
