Matt's being paid by TLC to give access to the farm. I am also sure that one of two things will happen in this wedding episode.

1) Matt will be at the wedding for some reason

or

2) Matt and Caryn will be filmed off on vacation to show everyone how they're having a good time regardless.

Matt will make sure that he gets paid, don't you worry ;)

Looks like he's gonna join the social media money grubbing, he was asking for likes on his instagram and announcing a youtube channel will be available soon.

Good for Matt! Maybe he can sell his own recipe for fudge. No reason why he shouldn't jump on the SM/IG/YT gravy train.

Season Finale! Will anything happen at all?

Zach and Tori's place. Lilah is being cute in the yard and they discuss her walking and her glasses. Apparently the glasses are working and there's been improvements. Zach wants to go camping on the farm in the old camp site. Zach wants a canvas tent, Tori simply dislikes camping. Lilah is becoming cuter.

Now Amy and Chris's. Amy is still planning the wedding with endless lists. She's getting a special basket for the wedding and Chris is all "we have baskets already" but I kinda see her point on this one. Chris feels he has compromised on things and discusses the music plans. Apparently the best man and his friend Mitch will do stuff as a band/dj. Chris is very good here saying "I need to give your ex a call about this". They call Matt on speaker phone to discuss the band and how long the wedding march will be. Chris then asks about hanging at the campfire at the new cabin. Amy is less than thrilled but does seem amused by it.

Now we're at the farm with Amy, Chris , Ron and Mitch. Chris doesn't like the barrels for the flowers. He thinks the barrels are too dilapidated. They have a cute moment where Chris tells the best man to take Gordan out if he refuses to give up Amy, its really quite funny and natural for this show. They then discuss the electrical system and Matt rides by on the ATV. There's a lengthy overtalk by Amy where she notes Matt and Caryn aren't invited because you know, drama. There's more cute teasing between Amy, Matt and Chris over Matt getting rid of Amy. Then Matt and Chris have a confessional where they talk about exchanging keys. Amy also wants the dinosaurs out of the barn while Chris likes the idea of the dinosaurs being in the fields. Chris then invites Matt on the honeymoon, a lot of joking Amy takes quite well.

Tory and Zach's - Tory is annoyed that Zach is taking the "nice" suitcase camping. They let Jackson pick things to pack and he of course wants silly things.  Tory is excited to have a night to herself.

Now we're at the cabin. Of course there's a metal plaque with Matt's name on it. Amy and Chris are on their way. Chris brought the signature drink to the campfire. Caryn jokes that Matt will be his best man. Everyone seems to have fun. Amy in the confessional says she isn't planning on being friends, and Chris in the confessional actually agrees.  Matt then brags about the cabin. Production asks if its fun to get a rise out of Amy and Chris and Matt snicker.

Meanwhile Zach and Jackson are setting up the campground, with the dog. There's a lengthy "Jackson asks questions over and over" section.  Tory and Lilah show up. They head over to the cabin with the dog. Jackson climbs into the bunk beds at the cabin. There's lots of reminiscing. There's also hotdogs. Amy is confessing to feeling awkward.

Then we have Jackson practice being the ring bearer at the campfire and there's cute stories about Jackson and I really am not about kids so... Caryn and Matt note that Zach and Tory are still interested in buying the farm but there's been so much stress blah blah blah.

Chris asks if Matt and Caryn are moving full time to AZ, The answer is no. Caryn is all "we're going to spend time together in AZ and live seperately in Portland." Matt jokes they are getting married in 2022 and Caryn notes he's joking because he hasn't even asked. Amy and Chris plan to travel as they edge to retirement. Matt plans to die on the farm. Caryn notes that things are calm now but as they get closer to the wedding, things will happen.

Back at the campsite with Zach and Jackson. They roast marshmellows and there's more Jackson stuff. Its mellow but really, its a toddler in a tent.

Now its dark and there's bunnies in the sleeping bag and oh god this show needs something because this is dull. Then we're back at Zach and Tory's discussing the trip because thats not boring. Tory asks if they are moving to the farm. Zach says no, because he's content with what they have now. Zach isn't interested in being Matt's bitch, basically. He puts it as "Matt isn't very collaborative". They're so happy with the kids blah blah blah. They kid about trying to get pregnant again all summer.

They really will need some new plots.

I'd have to rewatch the episode, but I don't recall hearing that Lilah's eye problem is improving; I thought they said they don't know yet.  I DO know that in almost every photo posted lately, she's not wearing her glasses.

And, just me, but I thought Amy came off as particularly sour and miserable this episode and C&A, more contentious than usual, even.  Not her best night!  You really have to wonder what My Man's friends are thinking.

Chris personally wanted to bring their signature drink for all to try, but Amy "didn't know what to bring" to a campfire.  When she's cooking every minute?

Interesting that Zach says he's happy with the children and family size they now have; they don't "need" any more.  Must be Tori who's the baby-hungry one.

Tory said at the last appointment Lilah is a degree from being normal, Lilah's glasses are working and they don't think she will need surgery, but they have to wait and see because these things take time. Its at 2:50 in the episode.

Whereas I thought they seemed more natural and playful with the joking. Chris's friends seem to like her and enjoy her as well.

I took that as more not wanting to pick a fight with Caryn over things. Aside from hot dogs, drinks and smore makings, what does a campfire need really?

Amy did a lot of "laughing face" to recover after tense moments with Chris.  I wasn't convinced, but YMMV.

There seems to be a lot of passive aggressive comments said in jest between Chris and Amy, and it seems to be getting worse. It's like they're airing out their little grievances and things that bother them that the other does with each other in a passive aggressive way.

And this show needs to end. It has become quite a snooze fest.

Amy is just miserable around people, huh? She gives everyone the most sour grimace if they aren’t talking directly to her.  The eye rolling and the disdain for everything and everyone that isn’t about AMY has become so obvious.  Doesn’t she realize if there are no other people in her orbit, she ceases to be the center of the universe?  Chris is always so cordial and friendly to all of Amy’s family and friends.  Amy acts like she can’t stand the presence of any of Chris’s friends. And she can’t take a joke.

With all Amy’s pomp and circumstance over this wedding to MyMan, and her giggling blushing bride shenanigans, I guarantee next season (and many more years after), she will refer to herself and MyMan as “newlyweds “.

I think it’s very weird Matt and Caryn aren’t invited.  In the real world, not many exes would invite each other to their 2nd weddings. But for a tv show, and after all the hoopla about this wedding, AND Matt letting them use the farm for it, it’s weird.  Especially since everyone BUT Amy gets along with everyone else.

I have no love for those stupid sculptures Matt bought, but I really wish he’d pull the ultimate passive-aggressive fuck you and just deposit them in random places all over the farm before the BIG DAY.  Every wedding portrait should have Sasquatch or a T-Rex sculpture photo bombing Amy and Chris’s in the background.  Then we can hear Amy bitch how “Chris and I’s wedding” was ruined.

Wondering how many more activities they can think up for the boring Zach and Tori family.  Maybe a filmed trip to Disney is next?  Big reveal, Zach does not want to move to the farm a this time. Maybe Zach should get a real job and let go of the farm.

Talk about a sourpuss, Amy will not even answer a question that is asked in an effort to try and make conversation at that camp fire set up. Her man does all the talking.   It appears Amy is not happy that Cha Cha is close to her grandchildren either.  When Caryn said I thought Matt was the best man everyone laughed knowing it was joke, even  "my man" said something like, oh yeah I meant to talk to you.  Not Amy, she has to say "that's not happening".  Okay Amy, do you know what a joke is, lighten up!  Amy is having special  wedding march music, timed out perfectly so it matches her man like strut out of the barn.  A 60 year old divorced mother and grandmother being escorted by her 90 year old father, here comes the bride everyone!

Maybe when a joke is told over and over like this one clearly has been told, it starts to grate, especially when you know you're the butt. I thought she handled it well. Nothing about the interaction seemed excessive.

As for a 60 year old woman wanting her 90 year old dad at the wedding and special music... whats the problem? She's too old? Matt built himself a little play cabin at the same age. She's being childish? Maybe but again, play cabin in the woods complete with a plaque announcing for all to see that its Matt Roloff's play cabin.  That cabin was all about a 60 year old man wanting a new toy.

“Chris and I’s wedding”

😖 How could she be that stupid??? Would she say "I's wedding?"   I get annoyed when people use the wrong pronoun, but this is so obviously wrong.  🙄

"Again.  The childish cabin is for actual children.  The childish wedding is for Amy."

Well said.  I agree.

The children who don't live on the property and are far too young to be left alone there and won't be able to use it for years?

Matt built the cabin because he wanted it. Its mostly an ego stroke so he can say he built a cabin but that's why its "grandpa's cabin" complete with a plaque reminding everyone that its Matt Roloff's.

I can only speak for myself, but none of this "bridal" stuff would bother me if I sensed that Chris and Amy were truly excited about sharing their lives together. But I don't see that. I see a middle-aged woman obsessed with being a bride, and unwilling to make small compromises that would lead to a more successful marriage.

I wouldn't say the wedding is "childish." How many child brides do you know?

Who didn't play wedding as a child, dressing up and acting one out?  They even used to sell little costume sets for the occasion.  It's a girlish dream.  Or at least it used to be (I am old...but then so is Amy).

The puzzling part is that she's already been "queen for a day" once!  Maybe she just like to dress up and be the center of attention, like during pumpkin season.  An exhibitionist.

Adiba, apparently if you're not in your twenties, not a virgin, fat, or not up to certain physical standards, its "childish" to want a big wedding you can easily afford.

Lucyeth I will continue to make the comparison because its apt - that cabin is for Matt, just like how the castle and western town was really for Matt's pleasure with the kids being lucky bystanders. If you need a further example...  a certain 60 year old man needs to build himself a "dream house" a childish designation if I ever heard one, because the gigantic dream house he previously built to accommodate his needs basically has ex wife cooties. Its his money so if he wants to blow it, what evs..   but its pretty childish. Much like his need for a play cabin

I love to come here, as well as the Sister Wives forum sometimes for the funny snark but I will say I have watched neither show in 5 years or more.          These shows will not end until people stop watching them.   Just sayin' .  As long as people watch, they will continue to be on TLC, which will bring in money for TLC and result in all of them getting paid from TLC.

I love it when Amy awkwardly tries to interact with Jackson and Lilah and they either look at her like "Who are you?" or tearfully try to get away from her.  I wonder if that bothers her or she doesn't really care (except for resenting that they ARE close to Cha-Cha)?  Maybe she was never that into kids herself, but that was what everyone was expected to do back in the day.  It would explain a lot!

Zach and Tori are a snooze-fest.  Amy is endlessly entertaining!  I can't wait to watch this union implode, although if they "retire" (from what?) fairly soon -- Chris can probably afford to now -- and spend enough time distracted by a love of travel, which is the one thing they seem to have in common, it may survive.

  • Love 7

Aside from the wedding, if Matt and Caryn aren't getting married then there's very little left to film. Tory and Zach are dull, and there's really no reason for Chris and Amy to wander over to the farm once the wedding is done. This season was basically a series of forced interactions.

I mean sure, Matt's "building his Barbie dreamhouse" but since Caryn is basically "yes dear" to whatever he wants, however long it takes, that means a whole lot of Matt yelling at contractors.
