I love your point so much.  So very true.  Look at the picture of Twit above in the black outfit.  She is skinny filtered within an inch of her life.  She looks positively average sized.  And we certainly know that reality is far from that truth.  Nat must be sharing some pro tips with her.  She "doesn't know winter" even though the others in the background are bundled up for it.  Well, I guess a 200 pound blubber coat does keep you warm!

In less medical terms, it's her gunt. Some call it a FUPA. I'm not fond of that one because it implies that it's part of the whole pelvic region when really it's a big ol' hanging slab of abdominal fat.

It's really fascinating at just how much her appearance fluctuates from picture to picture. The one of her on the floor is her in all her blubbery glory. The one of her walking in the streets does appear very photoshopped. Not to mention her wearing black and the careful pose with one leg positioned nearly directly in front of the other so that we don't get to see the real width of her body. 

The problem is that she's not fooling anyone. Just take a look at the pictures from the cruise when she was parading around in her swimsuit - there was no hiding just how huge she was. And I can't imagine that she would have lost 50 or so pounds between then and now to justify such a difference.

I have to think there is an element of "in your face" and "you WILL accept us" that drives this kind of unfortunate display.  A person of a more normal size can still be an attention seeker of course, but the motivation is likely different.

So according to Whitney's insta story, there is going to be a symposium in Greensboro NC this April on "Treating Eating Disorders In Higher Weight Bodies."  It will include a "special panel of weight-identified voices, featuring Whitney Thore."

I wonder what Whitney's story will be this time? She already got brushed back at the PCOS  symposium she went to, where the panelists talked a lot about the importance of taking control, and not letting PCOS become an excuse for becoming dangerously overweight.  Maybe she'll resort to her Will Powell panel story of how her eating disorder is that she doesn't eat enough, mixed with whining that no one ever taught her how to eat in a healthy way, but only encouraged her bad choices. (I gave up on Will Powell when he listened to her say this with a straight face, and some sympathetic murmurs, while I was remembering he has VIDEOTAPE OF HIM WALKING WHITNEY THROUGH A GROCERY STORE, COACHING HER ON HEALTHY EATING AND GOOD CHOICES.)

Weight-identified voices? Seriously?

PS- I just noticed that all the experts at this symposium have "lived experience" in "higher weight" bodies, so I am guessing this may be more of Whitney's tribe than the PCOS conference turned out to be.

I can see the point to a convention dealing with nutrition and health issues for the obese. We've seen on My Six Hundred Pound Life that many people who reach the point of morbid obesity have very poor nutrition habits, eating a lot of high calorie processed food and little in the way of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. It is not uncommon for obese people to suffer from malnutrition because they're not eating the right food. And speaking as someone who's battled her weight for most of her life, fat people can have profoundly disordered eating.

What it should NOT be is another excuse for Whitney to parade herself as some kind of expert except about how quickly she can fill her pie hole.

Back to Paris for a second - I know that I shouldn't be surprised, but here is Whitney is on of the most fashion-conscious cities in the world and what does she wear when walking through the city? A t-shirt and leggings. Talk about standing out in a not good way.

You do have to be incredibly flexible to do that stretch - try if you don’t believe me. I danced all throughout my school years and I could only do it when I was dancing and stretching regularly.

As for the tub - I have used at least three hotel tubs in the past. Both were in nice hotels and both were deep soaking tubs. One was in England and they had an entire room service menu of special baths they would come and draw for you. It was lovely.

I deleted the double entendre post because I felt offended not only by the comments but actually for Whitney.  I guess I just thought how I would feel in her place and if this situation were real, I’d feel pretty crappy that my friend or fiancé didn’t “defend” me and I didn’t defend myself.   I don’t know why I forget I’m nothing like Whitney.  She had the capability of deleting the posts and didn’t.  I guess she doesn’t care, thinks that they are funny or just straight up agrees.  

My initial reaction was similar to @SevenCostanza ‘s EW, but I need to just realize that if this is all real, then  these people think very differently than I or this is all fake and they are just trying to get clicks or drum up interest for the show.  I guess I waste too much time caring about Whitney’s self worth, since she doesn’t appear to mind how she comes across.

I agree you can can be successful and valuable and all that but again why does she think it’s appropriate to take baths on the internet. A bikini on a beach, I understand.  A bikini in a library then no. Lingerie is generally what one wears under clothing or in your own home.  I would understand it more if she was modeling it to be sold like Natalie and the CK underwear, but it was just some old nightie.   I guess I go round and round with this. It’s what she does, but it appears to me as lacking self respect.  I’m not sure if she does it just for the attention, money or it’s what she truly believes.  I give up trying to figure it out.  Honestly, the comments other people made on her picture were more off putting to me than anything. She owns her body of course, but I’d say the same thing if Chase or Glenn were posing naked in tubs or underwear, it just doesn’t make any sense nor do some of the friends/fans comments. It was similar to Buddy and the penis flute, I get you can post these things, but why and why for everyone in the world to see? YMMV.

I came across a trailer for this show, and to me it was all offensive. I very much doubt anyone who identifies with the body positivity movement would have anything to do with it. It seems to be mostly about how shocking and/or ludicrous it is for a "conventionally attractive man" to partner up with an obese woman. In a few minutes, the trailer showed: (a) the horror one of the men's family expressed when he talked to them about proposing to his girlfriend; (b) another of the men's friends asking if his interest in his girlfriend was purely sexual, heavily implying she was a fetish object to him; (d) a group of one of the men's friends taking him to a strip club to try and get him interested in a slimmer woman; (e) one of the men announcing that he loved his girlfriend very much and wished she was even heavier, while another man made the tired joke about how much more of his girlfriend there was to love, and in each case the women just sat there, looking humiliated or insulted.

BTW, it's scheduled to premiere on the same night as Whitney's new season. I guess TLC is going for a theme night! 😞

NoBSActive definitely is. Ryan seems to work hard on it. The FB page stats say it has 80 posts in the last month. NoBSDance seems to be dead. It says 4 posts in the last month. It’s said that for a couple of weeks so it doesn’t seem to be getting any new material. Guess those people just flushed their $20

The last PCOS conference Whit was at was a complete fail for her. Sorry, but no one is buying that PCOS alone made her as fat as she is. She needs an audience who will validate her excuses.

Thanks for the timeline!  So all he really has to do is lay low until this season finishes (or ratings start to drop) and then we can read about their "break-up".  Or maybe they're paying him enough to hang around for a wedding planning season.

I've been busy the past couple of weeks so I just checked in today and found all these surprises - fake engagement, second trip to lounge around hotel rooms in Paris, and the season trailer!  In addition to the fake engagement I see we are also pretending that NoBS active is a real business in Whit's life that she takes seriously, and that Buddy is "in love with her" and that Fake Fiance cares. Hahahahahahahahahahaha!  That should keep her busy enough to stay away from fake pregnancy and lesbian storylines.  I'm in 😄
