AndySmith March 22, 2017 Share March 22, 2017 The accent the trashtalk recapper uses for Dorit is somewhat less nonsensical than Dorit's real life accent... I think Rinna is pissed at Dorit because Dorit also likes to employ the selective amnesia tactic, and Rinna probably doesn't appreciate others copying her Special Move. 5 Link to comment
Popular Post ghoulina March 22, 2017 Popular Post Share March 22, 2017 WHAT. THE. FUCK. I swear, this show is giving me whiplash. One minute I'm totally on someone's side, and the next I'm ready to walk to the other side of the street and pretend I don't know them. I think the only two I haven't changed my mind about all season are Eden (never liked, never gonna like) and Kyle (my favorite). I had found Erika really enjoyable this entire season, and I was definitely on her side when pantygate first happened. For me, I saw her issue as not so much that anyone saw anything, but that Dorit was talking about it to everyone and MAKING it a big deal, and buying her panties like a prim mother scolding her naughty child. But the way Erika acted last night, SHE'S making it into a much bigger deal than it needs to be. Personally, I would have been more miffed about all Dorit's slight jabs ("Ohhh, YOU'RE going to sit by ME??" - "Well, you're dressed MUCH better this time around" - "That is THE first time you've ever given me a compliment"). All super passive aggressive, and bullshit to boot. Last week I saw in Erika a woman who had finally had it up to here with Dorit's crap and just unloaded on her. I got it. But this week. Wow. It's like she's been harboring this panty shit like a hoarder with newspapers. She is not willing to let it go. I don't even care much for Dorit, but I thought when she heard what Erika had to say about her husband, she seemed genuinely sorry and Erika just wouldn't hear it. Which, by the by, I thought that was kind of a dumb excuse. When your wife is making semi-pornagrapic videos and travelling the world to gyrate on stage in front of hundreds, is the fact that a co-worker saw her vagina going to keep you up at night? I mean, how exactly is this effecting Tom??? I think PK is a skeeve and a gentleman would have done his best to look away. And a good friend would have discreetly alerted Erika to the issue. But I'm just not sure how this occurrence is really going to trouble Tom. I would think he'd be very puzzled if he got apology calls from Dorit and PK. At any rate, you have two choices in this situation. You either accept someone's apology or you shut up and drop it. If you're not willing to accept their apology for whatever reason, there isn't really anywhere else to go from there. You don't need to be best friends, but they've done what is needed and you should at least just cool your jets and stop making the entire table so uncomfortable. I mean, even Eileen, who had been in Erika's corner, thought she was taking it too far. And what WAS that reaction to what Eileen said? Wow. The woman who has been nicest to her throughout all of this and she turns on her like a rabid dog. It was just an expression! Now, I know some people are touchy about certain topics. My husband is very touchy about his kids and death/something happening to him. We were watching a movie where the main character's grown son is killed and I was crying my ass off and he looked at me weird, and I said, "Can you imagine if that was your son?" and that really freaked him out. He just can't handle thoughts like that. So I can kind of understand why, even if it was just a vague example, the very thought upset Erika. But it was QUITE clear that Eileen didn't mean anything by it and she apologized a million times, but Erika would not let it go. Would not calm down. She was just nasty! It really makes me wonder what is going on in her life, what's going on with her? Her reactions to everything were so disproportionate to what was really happening. I was just completely baffled. And Rinna. Fucking Rinna. Oh she rode my last nerve like there was no tomorrow. Piping in at every damned turn!! The issue was between Dorit and Erika and I think Erika is quite capable of handling herself. It was like Rinna just couldn't WAIT for an excuse to go after Dorit. I mean, what WAS that BS question about the trust in her marriage (thank you, Kyle, for pointing out the hypocrisy of bringing up husbands)??? And then she decides it's time to change the subject to a party that happened MONTHS ago. And how everyone left the table and she was alone.....so that somehow means they were all doing coke in the bathroom? What the what what??? It's not like she was chained to the table. Maybe they just decided to move the party elsewhere. How about getting up and seeing what's going on, instead of making wild assumptions. I mean....wow. I don't even like Dorit and PK, but that was just crazy right there. Holy moly, these women may not be as tacky as OC when they travel, but by God they are going to suck all the fun out of the trip aren't they???? 44 Link to comment

ghoulina March 22, 2017 Share March 22, 2017 6 hours ago, zoeysmom said: the issue wasn't whether or not Erika was wearing panties, it was the fact that she announced she wasn't wearing any. Kyle said in an interview, she assumed she had nude panties on but once she said that, like a car wreck all eyes went to her hemline. So it really isn't an issue if Erika left the house with no panties, or that she didn't want to cross her legs it was that she drew attention to the issue. I'm so sick of pantygate and I absolutely think Erika is taking this WAY too far. But I still feel like the announcement was made because LVP started to put her hand up Erika's dress. Kyle was worried about a pantiline and LVP was jokingly asking if Erika had some panties Kyle could borrow, while starting to slide her hand up her dress. So Erika yelled out, "I'm not wearing any!" before LVP had a chance to go any further. It wasn't like she walked in and declared, "Hey boys, I'm not wearing any underwear". 4 hours ago, Teddybear said: I loved it when Lisa R took a bite of food and said "I don't have anything else to say" and LVP immediately chimed in "I don't believe it. She most likely would have gone ahead with it regardless of what the others said to her. She doesn't get a pass for it even if others were involved. I agree. The others absolutely thought it was a hilarious idea, so they shouldn't be acting all mortified by it now. But...Dorit still came up with it and did it, and I always thought it was a very petty and tacky move. Still do. 15 Link to comment

Popular Post DrivingSideways March 22, 2017 Popular Post Share March 22, 2017 I may be in the minority, but I love Dorit... she had a rocky start, stumbled a few times, but I think she's basically a rational person, accent notwithstanding. And up til tonight's episode, I thought she and Erika were just two people who did not gel, which happens from time to time. I've never enjoyed Erika, she seems like a missed opportunity to me, she's not as sassy and fun as she thinks she is, and there is an underlying vibe of sadness to her. Well tonight it just exploded. I can see being annoyed by Dorit's comments but her reaction implied there is something deeper beneath all of this. Just like Carole on NYC, you can be the 'cool, above the Housewives shenanigans' housewife for only so long before you get torn down into the mud. Erika cracked and now she's just a needy attention whore like everyone else on Bravo. I used to enjoy Lisa Rinna. But she was extremely creepy tonight. Wouldn't mind her leaving the show. I have never liked Eileen but I felt for her. Once she showed any deference to Dorit, Erika was DONE with her. Basically all of Erika's reactions tonight proved what Dorit has been saying - she is cold and closed off. I'm sure a small part of Erika struggles with the fact that she has a VERY limited amount of time before her ratchet stripper act goes from outrageous and fun to just pathetic. Factor in that her husband is Pasadena royalty and runs with a very different crowd than her West Hollywood fanbase... I think she has a lot of internal struggles that were brought to the surface by Dorit's pantygate comments. Somebody upthread said that Erika should just shrug off Dorit because she's from Connecticut and they're all prissy assholes... I laughed my ass off for about ten minutes about that comment, so thank you, mystery poster :-) 32 Link to comment

The Erikas had the nerve to say that because Kathryn told LVP, she ruined any chance of friendship she had with LVP and then got angry at LVP for making spider and web jokes. I was confused as to why the Erikas think it is such astretch that others perceive her as cold. Even her mother called her a tough old bird. As to Erika Girardi not crying, that ship has sailed and sailed again. Erika G.-you cry and are pretty much a blithering idiot. 19 Link to comment

It does make me wonder what kind of a relationship she truly has with her husband, Tom. My husband too would laugh it off but for her to be that upset of the word spreading around makes me think he would have a real problem with it, which doesn't make sense because of "Erika Jayne". 3 Link to comment

TattleTeeny March 22, 2017 Share March 22, 2017 (edited) Yikes, this one was crazy as hell! I like Erika but that, IMO, was a whole lotta overreacting on her part, and I actually agreed somewhat with the argument that because she'd implied that she was past the underwear business, her (delayed?) outrage about it was unwarranted (though I wonder if the seemingly ongoing comments from Dorit about first-time compliments and sitting next to her just eroded Erika's "I'm over it" attitude, which seemed legit to me a few episodes ago; call me naive but I believe that Dorit's refusal to drop it was where Erika's problem stemmed from). Further, I have no strong opinions about Dorit other than she is kind of a nag about Erika being nicer to her (seriously, just let it happen!), but she did not deserve that level of nonsense. And Rinna should give it a damn rest; it's like she thinks she's being profoundly thought-provoking but she's just a shit-stirrer. Edited March 22, 2017 by TattleTeeny 13 Link to comment

People have been having a fit over this kind of statement and I think it's just yet another excuse to get pretend-offended. The argument is "Well, she should be able to choose when she looks like an old whore and who sees her looking like one and PK was leering at her". First, what I saw, he wasn't leering, he looked. Way to show the same clip of him looking at something a million times. Editing. And anyone who says they wouldn't at least notice, well, let's just say that there are two types of people in the world, those who pee in the shower and liars. Yes, they'd notice. Whether they'd admit it or not. And she CHOSE to not wear under things with a dress you need two haircuts for. Therefore, she CHOSE to potentially show off her pretty mess to whoever could see. The point is not to rehash pantygate, the point now is WHY does Tom care THIS much?? Awfully interesting...... I had two of the best bosses on the planet. We were in the office when a resident surgeon came in and interrupted our meeting. When he left, Boss #2 turned to me and said, "He is SO uptight, he probably doesn't pee in the shower". I was standing in front of Boss #1's desk when she says to me, "Hey, your zipper is down." I asked what she was doing, looking at my crotch? I laughed it off, I needed my job? 4 Link to comment

That conversation would have been so awkward. Dorit and PK have Tom on speaker. Tom: "Who is this again? Oh, your're on the show with Erika?" (has he ever met them???) "Sorry? Sorry for what? Look, I'm trying multiple cases right now, I'm having a hard time understanding what this is about. My wife wore a skimpy dress? So....?" 10 Link to comment

I only have one office story, but since it goes back 35 years, no one back then thought anything of it! I was on vacation, but stopped by office for my check! I was dressed in tennis gear and back in the 70's & 80's shorts were SHORTS! First the Adm. Asst asked the room "why is Jamie wearing stocking?" The big boss, a woman with huge glasses ran over and actually touched my legs and told the other woman "girl, these are his legs!" I was rather smooth and quite tanned I guess! Nothing came of it, but today I could have filed suit! lol! ;-) 3 Link to comment

Not jokes, just tips to put things into perspective. Two that come to mind for this episode? "Things only get dirty/obscene when people make them dirty/obscene." Popular Post HunterHunted March 22, 2017 Popular Post Share March 22, 2017 (edited) I've had a hard time synthesizing my problem with Erika in this episode. In many ways, she's worse than Eileen was with her feud with LVP. Eileen was at least sort of grumbley when she and LVP would discuss the cheating issue ad nauseum, but Erika is a manipulative ass. You don't get to tell Dorit that you've forgiven her and that you're over it, but bring up the issue and your hurt whenever you feel like it. It was so clear that Erika never forgave Dorit. That's not fair because Erika straight up lied to Dorit and Dorit relied upon the lie. I'm sure that Erika would never cast her actions that way, but that's what happened. I don't even have an issue with Erika's perceived hypocrisy over being naked or nearly so in her Erika Jayne drag. However, I have a massive issue with Erika appearing to accept Dorit's apology, but holding on to a massive grudge. It's just so fundamentally unfair and frankly quite graceless, classless, and unkind. On to Erika and Eileen. I don't even like Eileen, but it was clear that her original slip was accidental and that she was sincerely apologetic. Perhaps Erika was already primed for a fight, but everyone saw that's not how Eileen meant it. Erika wouldn't hear of it. Once again, it showed just how sincerely unkind Erika can be. On the subject of police officers, they put their lives on the line. I'm sure that it was very worrisome last summer. I work in a mental health system. I know that I shouldn't compare the two, but I so rarely see people expressing similar sympathies for mental health professionals. My colleagues are in harms way day in and day out, legally can't respond to a physical attack without possibly endangering their professional licenses, and don't get the luxury of walking around with guns. I have a colleague who can't drive because of the massive brain injury she experienced when a patient attacked her. I have another who has bites up and down her arms and on her face from patients. I had one who was a masters level clinician and can never work again because a patient bashed him in skull and pulled one of his eyes out. And he still has to pay off his student loans. No one tearfully worries about mental health professionals. To a certain extent, my colleagues rarely worry about the dangers because most think of their work as a calling. I don't know why we so rarely hear from police officers who express a similar ethos. /end of my soapbox rant. Rinna is a disgraceful example of a human being.
