Donald John Trump: 2016 President-Elect

Recommended Posts

And, because the mainstream media is either too lazy or to invested in ginning up a horse race, I checked out David Pakman this morning.  He posted a video of the young woman who alleges she was raped by Drumpf when she was 13.  Naturally, her face has been obscured and her voice has been altered.  https://trofire.com/2016/11/01/woman-claiming-trump-raped-age-13-tells-story-david-pakman-show/

I get that Drumpf's other GOP opponents were "primaried" because they weren't loud, flashy and outrageous enough to capture the imagination of the voters.  Drumpf's audience--and the media--ate it up.  I can only vaguely recall if actual issues were covered because the media focused solely on the zingers, soundbites and outrageous statements by Drumpf, including Snarly Fiorina (how did she even become "a thing?") with her lies about Planned Parenthood.  And, now here we are.  Standards have been lowered so much that we went from having a classy, thoughtful, articulate, well-educated family man who honors his wife (President Obama) to a woefully ignorant conman, rapist, mysogynist, grifter, tax cheat, serial bankrupt, serial liar, serial adulterer, and racist Manchurian Candidate doing the bidding of the "alt-right" and Russia.  I won't even touch on the fact that Drumpf's opponent is well-prepared, smart, hardworking, extremely knowledgeable and more than qualified for the job.

You simply can't make this shit up...

The ongoing controversy about Donald Trump and his taxes came into focus once more this morning with an article in the New York Times.  In this newest report, John F Buckley, Former Chief of Staff, Joint Congressional Committee on Taxation is quoted, "He deducted somebody else's losses....He is double dipping big time."

Let me explain how he did this. For example let's say he borrowed $100 million for Trump casino. He went bankrupt with that casino and repaid the bank $60 million. The bank 'wrote off' $40 million of their losses on their income tax. But Donald deducted that $40 million and wrote it off as a loss on HIS income taxes, which it wasn't of course because he never repaid it to the bank. Essentially, that $40 million was deducted twice, once by the bank which was legitimate and once by Donald Trump which is not legal.

I would not be surprised in these last few days of this campaign that someone doesn't leak information about his undisclosed tax return that would definitely have a negative effect on his campaign. Last week, his son Donald Trump Jr. gave a different excuse for not releasing the documents, saying the returns would be “distracting.” Did he really mean 'damaging'? New York Times Executive Editor Dean Baquet and Washington Post Associate Editor Bob Woodward said at a Harvard University forum this month that they would love to publish Trump’s returns if someone leaked them, even if it meant serving jail time.According to tax experts and former IRS employees, tens of thousands of people have access to Trump’s tax information, if not his complete returns.

Wouldn't it be great if.........

In the example given above, wouldn't Donald have to report $40 million as income, because it is forgiveness of debt?  He spent $40 million and doesn't have to pay it back, makes it income, doesn't it? I heard someone one on the news mention that Trump hadn't reported forgiveness of debt income.

I also heard, as you mentioned, that he deducted the losses of others.  I understood this to mean that, for example, he put $80 million int a project, and other investors put in $30 million, but Donald deducted the full $110 loss when the project went belly up.

I heard a reporter ask a Trump surrogate why Trump didn't release his taxes and if Trump ever would and the surrogate claimed the standard excuse "under audit" and said that Trump would release them when the audit was done.  He also said that Trump has been audited for the last 15 years, so I guess that means, since he is "always" under audit, he will never release them.

According to a CPA friend of mine, if the IRS audits you and finds nothing wrong, they don't keep auditing you.  If Trump has really been audited every year for the last 15 years, the IRS must be finding something improper being reported on his returns.

He would take the 40 mil as a deduction, a bank's loss, not his to take. It's like a double-dipping of negative income, or loss. Someone could take that because someone lost it,  but it wasn't Donald because he claimed bankruptcy and 40% of that 100mil was actually 'forgiven' by the bank. They took the hit on the 40 mil, not him. There's one other thing about double-dip deducting that I forgot to add. In these projects that he borrowed heavily on then claimed bankruptcy and there were plenty of his 'successful' businesses that went bankrupt besides property, he left people without getting paid for work they'd done, services they provided and goods such as concrete, steel, glass, etc.  These projects, once abandoned and put into bankruptcy leaves a whole lot of people holding the empty bag. They get the short end of the stick. Wages aren't paid and contractors aren't paid.

According to Tony Schwartz who wrote Art of the Deal, Donald had nothing at all to do with raising his kids except provide the money for their upkeep. Ivana raised all those kids. So, take that bullshit about him being a wonderful father out of the plus column

Some months ago, Marla Maples was on The View.     She was asked what kind of father Trump was to their daughter, Tiffany.   Her answer was along the lines of - he's a great dad.  Whenever Tiffany needed anything, she knew all she had to do was call her father, and he would write her a check!

I interpreted it as "his role was purely financial." I'm pretty sure she knows better than to say anything blatantly negative about Donald.

Rachel Maddow started her show tonight by talking about some lawsuits brought today against the Trump campaign and the RNC.  The suits argue that these groups have violated the 1871 Klan Act.  She also talked about the ringing endorsement Cheetos has received from the modern KKK and showed some clips of some really awful people at Trump rallies chanting anti-Semitic slurs and taunting the press.  I don't know why these lumpen trumpen and Cheetos' ties to white supremacists, as well as his complete disregard for the Constitution and democracy, don't get more play.  I fervently hope that his ties to Russia gets more attention, and quickly.  This man is a menace.

Yes!

And the Evan McMullian calls to voters from that KKK guy was......"Evan has two mommies."

Oh my lord I can't wait till this election is over and if Florida fucks up again like they did with Bush/Gore, they need to be lopped off the map.  Whoever the hell wins that state, I just want a clear winner.

Yes -   I remember there was a controversy related to this on Celebrity Apprentice.  Celebs get their rich and famous friends to donate money to "charity".  BUT - the specific charity the donation goes to might not be the one they intend.    Celeb A asks for donations to Charity A, Celeb B asks for donations to charity B.  The checks are written to a Trump Charity account.   Then, depending on who wins the task, the donations go to charity A or B.   (there have been exceptions to this, when the celebs have insisted on it)  The point is -  that the donor  can take a tax deduction for the donation, because it's their money and they deserve it.   But then The Trump Charity ALSO deducts the donation that is given to Charity A or B.

Like Ivana (and pretty much everyone else--including CNN's Corey Lewandowski), Marla is bound by a very tight NDA with severe financial penalties. She pointed out Tiffany lived in LA and rarely saw him "but he would call her" and paid his child support (and for her college) as long as no one made trouble.  The other three, I think were largely raised by their long-time "nanny" when young and then went away to boarding schools, coming home on weekends and vacations.  It's too bad he gets so much credit for "raising great kids" (or maybe "great crooks")

Nobody is talking about this!   It's all about the fuckin' emails!

We all know if it was Hillary's husband, or her aide's husband - this would be all over the place, and Hillary's chances would be ruined.

When I checked up on the rape trial a few days ago, the article mentioned that no one seems to be able to find her (she was "in hiding").  This might be why they haven't pressed this point - Hillary was winning, there were enough other women speaking out, there was no point in talking about something that could be so easily dismissed by voters ("this is all rumors, we haven't even seen the women, she probably doesn't exist..."), and no point to cause the victim anguish.

Now that she has come out to speak publicly, I hope there is more press about it.

It sounds nice in theory, but I think as cynical Americans we tend to romanticize/overlook the deficiencies in other countries. Many have been the times exasperated Brits, for example, have looked at our system and wished theirs worked more like ours. It's really a big "the grass is greener' thing, I think.

Of course we are currently up against a congress who are literally saying they won't do anything (well about the Supreme Court, but we've also already seen that they won't move on Gun Control either, and likely also won't on most other big issues).

Sadly, his supporters will deny it ever happened and even if they were given indisputable proof it still wouldn't matter. Remember, he could walk out onto Fifth Ave and shoot someone and not lose a single vote, he was right.

Yes, I've seen it all over the net.  The denial goes like this: "It's a lie, because if it was real why would she wait until he was running for President to say anything?"

Most of us reading this probably know the actual answer to that "question"/accusation, but the shitheads don't want to hear about how difficult it is for rape victims to come forward. If pressed, on most boards I've been on, they'll act like they don't see the response and just skip onward to bashing the next thing.

This is what I was thinking and what I had read about it, I was never able to find her name in any article I read.  So yeah, I figured she didn't want any spotlight on her. But I sure did see a copy of the court document, at least the top part where it list the defendants names Epstein and Trump. I was in shock, I thought, this can't be real. The plaintiff was thirteen,  raped by Trump the pedophile, who might become our president yet CNN is called the Clinton News Network? Right,  that's why they haven't covered this story yet.  So yeah, I get anyone who upon hearing this and are inclined not to believe the worse about Trump would shrug it off.

But for those of us who can draw conclusions and put together the evidence many of it on tape and in the defendant's own words, well it's not a leap for folks like us, that Trump could engage in teenage prostitution, nope, not a leap at all. We can do that kind of simple math and add up all those pieces.

Who wants to list all the inappropriate sexual commentary we have by Trump on tape? Who's got the stomach for it? I started a couple of posts ago with his threat to date a fourth grader that would be a ten year old and yelling that threat at the ten year old.  Then I noted him going on the Howard Stern show and talking about his daughter's boobs, allowing Stern to refer to her as a piece of ass. And even Stern knew that shit might have been over the line which is why before he really gets into to objectifying Ivanka he pauses and asks Trump if it's OK that he talk about her. So even Stern knew that a father, even disgusting Trump might not want me to cross that line let me ask first, but nope you were wrong Stern.

But in this case the victim didn't wait, she's been on court record for some time now. She's someone that the courts know about, she's not like the women who came forward during this election. It actually, helps her case and points a finger squarely at the media, who if we know about this shit, how the hell do they explain not knowing about it and not reporting it. Even if she didn't want to do an interview it should still be mentioned because there are actual court documents to back up the media's reporting.  So that argument that she's coming forward only now, doesn't hold up for the deniers although their kind of hate can't be stopped with reason.

There was some "comedy" bit the other day I was told about where Trump supporters were asked "What could he do where he would lose your support?"

Most couldn't come up with anything. One said, "Maybe if he raped a child. And there was tape to prove it."

So in this girl's case, I don't think people like that would even care. Very probably they would say that as a 13 year old trying to be a model, Trump probably thought she was a lot older than she really was. And she's probably lying about it all anyway because someone who was that messed up at 13 probably sees this as an easy way to get money from a very rich man. But he's standing up to her and won't be intimidated!

Things like that. I don't think there's any reasoning with the diehard supporters. It's become a cult.

Juanita Broadrick's "rape" allegation against Bill Clinton was investigated and found to have no merit and yet Trump felt it should get publicity after 20 years. As a result of HIS actions, those false allegation against Clinton were talked about all over the news for days. Trump's rape victim's suit, and the details it provides, seems far more credible than Broadrick'd story. But, either way, bringing it up fits with Trump's own "credibility criteria" so he shouldn't whine about it. and it should get discussed.

There's little doubt that all of the "Liberal Media is smashing Trump" stuff is total B.S.

The absence of reporting on the rape case is only one example.

Lets take an even simpler one--and one which goes WAY back. That copy of the original Benghazi subpoena I've pointed people to, that actual government posted copy on Congresses OWN site, hasn't been mentioned or directed to by ANY major media outlet as far as I can see. I only found it by accident. Instead they'll just simply report the latest time that Trump or some ally claimed Hillary is "hiding" emails or that she deleted them wrongfully and not the clear proof about how little she was instructed to turn over.

If the media was really "in the Democrats pocket" I'd think it would be plastered all over the place that she was instructed to turn over very little. Instead, the lie that she left out a lot of emails and defied Congress is left unchallenged in the reporting.

And, that person was lying.  Even if there was a tape to prove it, he or she would still refuse to believe it.  The excuses you listed are right on the money.  They would act horrified for one moment, and then here come the justifications:  "That tape was doctored!"  "Where were the girl's parents, huh?  Just answer me that!"  "Why was this child going to grownup parties?"  "Not saying she got what she deserved...but...what did she expect?"  "Look, I admit that was bad, but that happened so long ago!"  "She was probably hot in the ass anyway."

And, of course, my favorite would be, "But, the Lord forgave him a long time ago just like King David.  He had wives and concubines and was still a man after the Lord's own heart.  No one should mess with the Lord's anointed!"

I agree that they have become a cult, and if that orange buffoon told them to drink some orange "Trump Kool-Aid" and told them upfront that it was laced with cyanide and that they would die, they would still drink it.  After all, they couldn't get their "reward" in this world and they will be raptured in the next.

this was not a human being, to him.   He was already thinking of her in terms of being a sex object.    This is how he thinks about girls and women - boobs, butts, vaginas, ratings on a 1-10 scale.

For those not keeping up with the Hillary thread, just a heads up. That jerkass Comey doubled down on his Hatch Act violations. If anyone believes he was "compelled" to tell Congress about an active investigation, or that he (whoops!) accidentally cc:ed the ENTIRE FBI with a memo telling the entire Agency about it, or how it magically made its way to the media, then I wonder how he's going to spin this as "not interfering with the election". 7 days before an election...

FBI Officially Goes Rogue, Dumps 15-Year Old Records Of Clinton Foundation Inquiry Online

Quote

After being dark since 2015, the FBI account which tweets out record dumps they place online began tweeting this weekend after Comey's letter went public.

Quote

Yes, you read that right. They tweeted out a link to a document dump today of mostly redacted records of a 15-year old inquiry into the Clinton Foundation and some insinuated link between President Bill Clinton's pardon of Marc Rich and donations to the foundation.

Of course, they only released the initial summary of the inquiry and no actual resolution, leaving open the suggestion that either the investigation remains on the books, despite the fact that a Grand Jury was convened and apparently did not find any cause to proceed.

This is outrageous. There is something really wrong with the FBI right now. And I should add that FBI Director James Comey was an investigator on the original Marc Rich case, and retired Assistant Director James Kallstrom was the director of the New York office and a mentor to Comey.

Awaiting what the Trump campaign says about this. My guess? They ignore HOW these 15 year old accusations were refreshed in the public memory and just run with acting like they are true.

That's a perfect question for someone from the Daily Show or Full Frontal to ask Trump supporters. ("Real reporters" only ask things like, "Did his comments about women make you reconsider  your vote? No? Okay.....How about you?")  I love watching their brains try to answer how God forgives Trump his crimes. (When Maureen Dowd asked him if he'd ever dated a woman who needed and had an abortion, he said, "No comment." But...I'm sure even if he performed them himself it wouldn't deter his supporters for all the reasons mentioned above.)

I watched him in Albuquerque and Grand Rapids talk about the "Clinton crime family" and how "when" he's president she will be punished for her "many crimes". And how the ONLY reason she and her criminal syndicate are only in it because they want to make MONEY for themselves, their donors, and the global international cartel that controls them (and the Washington establishment). "Trump the Conspiracist" has been very under-reported.

Every sentence of his entire speech was followed by cheering.

Hillary supporters are prepared for the possibility she could lose (in the most depressing U.S. election result ever). Trump's supporters are NOT prepared. He keeps feeding them only favorable poll results and lying about how well he's polling in many battleground states.

Le sighhhhh...

Trump supporters here in NC have gotten the message to challenge the integrity of the voting process. Voter showed up for early voting and told the worker that his name was his wife's (it's one of those gender neutral names and the Photo ID law here was recently ruled unconstitutional as written). Worker happened to catch a discrepancy, but what if she hadn't? Then that voter would've broadcast to twitter, FB and wherever that he committed in-person voter fraud and wasn't caught, sowing those seeds.

From USA Today:

Quote

The Republican National Committee must explain by Wednesday any agreements it has made with Donald Trump’s campaign in an attempt to ensure “ballot security,” a federal judge has ruled.

The order issued by U.S. District Court Judge John Vazquez is in response to a motion filed by the Democratic National Committee to hold the RNC in contempt for alleged violation of a 1982 consent decree. The RNC had agreed as part of the decree to stop vote-watching after Democrats alleged the RNC was intimidating minority voters.

Last week, Democrats accused Republicans of violating the decree “by supporting and enabling the efforts of the Republican candidate for President, Donald J. Trump, as well as his campaign and advisors, to intimidate and discourage minority voters from voting in the 2016 Presidential Election,” Politico reports.

Vazquez ordered that Republicans provide details about any efforts to stop voter fraud and referenced specific statements from Gov. Mike Pence, Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway and members of the RNC that seem to suggest there are vote-watching plans.

The RNC must provide details by 5 pm on Wednesday.

A spokeswoman for RNC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Honestly, with the way things are going in this Election and all the instances of corruption, including the Hatch Act violations by Comey and the FBI (I don't even think you can say that they didn't blatantly violate this anymore), the possible treason being committed by Trump and Russia's involvement with the election (Trumpchurian Candidate indeed), the voter intimidation, the very possible abuse of campaign funds by Puffy Cheeto, etc., I don't know how it is possible to say that a fair election will be held on Tuesday. I honestly wish there were some way to postpone it until these allegations against Trump are investigated, or that they find a way to remove him from the election altogether. The Republicans wanted to do that at one point, though now so many of them are behaving like a bunch of pussies and voting for this piece of shit - even some that previously said they wouldn't. It is not easy to get a candidate removed, especially so late, but I imagine there are some things that could be done - certainly things that would warrant postponing the election given the gravity of the allegations here and everything that is at stake.

There are so many serious open issues, concerns and "investigations" (it doesn't get more serious than potential treason and allowing a foreign country to interfere with an election) on Trump right now, and they released this supposed "new" e-mail issue regarding Hillary, which, as it turns out, really has nothing to do with her and is benign as far as the election is concerned, and they treat this like the biggest scandal ever, nevermind what Trump has done and is doing. The e-mail thing It is just Comey being a shitbag and doing exactly what the Hatch Act prohibits, which is a federal official tampering with an election. The fact that he thinks it is not fair and would be tampering to release the additional information they have on Trump and his ties to Russia is so hypocritical it is beyond belief. Clearly, this not a "fair and impartial" election. When a candidate has even a hint of treason surrounding them, something needs to be done.

Also, for every attempt at voter fraud (the woman in Iowa, the NC issue posted earlier on this board by merriebreeze, etc.) that was stopped, how many are actually making it through? At this point, how can you not have doubts that the election will most certainly be rigged by Trump and the possibility that many voters will be screaming for a recount or something if he wins? No one wants another Bush vs. Gore, however, the vast majority seem to not want this idiot in office either - especially unfairly. The man cannot be allowed to win. I just hope enough early votes, absentee ballots, and mail in ballots for Hillary got in and also that enough people going to the polls have more than half a brain cell and can see this monsterous, misogynistic, racist, homophobic, KKK loving bloody wanker for the Dictator that he plans to become. He will ruin everything good about this country and does not deserve to be allowed to set foot on our soil, in our cities and towns, largely built by immigrants that he is trying to mass deport (he seems to forget that the majority of people in this Country come from immigrants at some point). This man embodies so much that is wrong with not just this country, but with the world. He cannot be President.

Why there is so much pro-Trump Internet activity: Paid Russian Trolls!

I can believe that.  I was alerted to the possibility of Russian trolls when NYT ran several articles on the Russian doping scandal.  You could tell who the trolls were in the comments section because they typically said things such as, "This country is so hypocritical.  What about the doping scandals with USA athletes?"  They were outed as paid trolls by other readers.

Then something similar happened when NYT ran an article about how Russia was suspected of hacking into and leaking the medical records of Venus and Serena Williams, as well as Simone Biles, alleging that they had been doping.  Out of all the Olympic athletes, why were these three singled out?  The goal was to throw shade and to discredit these Black female athletes because they excelled in disciplines that Russian athletes typically excel in.  And, of course, they had to have a leg up, right?  It turns out that these three athletes used medications that they were given permission to use.  Apparently, Simone has ADHD and has been taking medicine for that for years.

And, once again, the trolls were out in full force, and the battle was fierce between them and the readers who saw the hacking for what it was.  Not to mention how frightening it is that people's medical records can be hacked and leaked.

And, now we have a Russia-loving idiot as the GOP standard bearer.

The REST of Sam Bee's show then talked about where the REST of the uber-Pro-Trump stuff (aside from the kind of paid ones from Russia) is coming from! She cuts right to the heart of it.

This is specifically speaking not of the casual pro-Trump person, of course, but the uber-Trolls who... well... I don't really have to explain them, do I? Let Sam do it instead:

I was just coming to post about the Sam Bee Russian troll segment. She said 1/3 of all pro-Trump postings on social media are bots and trolls. I was amused when one of the paid trolls said his job was to sway stupid people (he didn't actually say stupid, but something close) and the other said their job was to spread misinformation because people just believe whatever they read. And that, in a nutshell, is your average American. I can't even say Trump supporter, because I know plenty of Hillary voters who still believe she's corrupt and believe all the lies, but hate him more.

It made me wonder- I'd been thinking about how these forums are overwhelmingly anti-Trump  that doesn't correlate to what I see on FB comments or other comment sections like on The NY Times. Makes me wonder if the difference is that there aren't any bots posting here.  I have seen only tepid barbs at Hillary, and nobody who is admitting to being pro-Trump. Even those saying negative things about Hillary say they aren't voting Trump.

i just thought it was kind of interesting.

I agree with the spirit of what you're saying, but please dear God, no!  Numbers are falling for Clinton as it is and every day is really, really important right now. Any delay and, imo, she just comes a day closer to losing. (Plus, Trump's people don't care if he's on Putin's payroll--won't believe it even if we see the paycheck stub--and he's just going to find new things to lie about or new information for his buddy Comey to help him out with to imply Hillary is the worst person ever born.

More time means more lies. Plus, can anyone's nerves stand it? I wish it could be NOW!

Hayes has another strong anti-Trump, anti-Comey show in the first half*.  Love how people ARE talking about Trump and the Russian government. It -might- get out.  Interesting how Congress has asked for info about it for months and received absolutely nothing, per Elijah Cummings.. .

*Then he brought on the "new sexism" from Bernie-to-Hillary supporter Michael Moore. Chris tried to get Moore to admit he was trying for humor going on and on about how "men" have to overcome "10,000 years of history and hormones" to now be able to support a woman, urging them "Just sit back and let women run the show for a change. It'll be okay."  Hello?  There is ONE woman on the ballot for Dem president. Congress is still not even 50% women and many of Hillary's closest advisors are men.  It was infuriating to see him couch this as men v. women--and tell Hayes that he really was serious.  Chris tried, to counter him, but it wasn't happening. Moore's appearance was a BIG disappointment.

I thought about this as well. The things I read here and things I read and watch on some of the more "credible" sources out there, seem to be more for Hillary and don't seem to support his opinions and viewpoints.

This election is maddening and I'm trying not to lose faith and hope that the democratic process holds, those that try to commit voter fraud are caught and prosecuted appropriately, and that the vast majority of the American people are smart enough to see the harm that Trump will do to this Country and how tremendously unqualified he is and that they vote accordingly.

I so want to see him have a complete, stuttering, stammering, floundering meltdown when he loses and just blurt out random lines like "It's rigged!" "Hillary is from outerspace and hypnotized everyone!," Hillary bussed in people from Mexico and gave them fake IDs to vote!," "Hillary didn't win - I won. She only got 290 votes, so I won." "Putin's data says I won, so I won. We're moving into the White House tomorrow." "All the votes in all the states were miscounted, they used funny math, and I won." "There were hanging thingies on the ballots." (trying to refer to the "hanging chads" scandal from the Bush/Gore election), and on and on.... The man is so arrogant and since he's said he would only accept the election results if he wins, I doubt he even wrote a concession speech, so whatever he delivers will may likely be complete improv. He likely won't concede, however, and could possibly try to drag this thing out forever if he loses, so his statement on election night may just be "The results can't possibly be real, there was funny math and hanging thingies involved, the election is rigged like I said all along, and we demand a complete do-over - at least in the states that Crooked Hillary won."

Yes, I thought about this when I wrote my post and had something like this in there. In reality, I want this to be over as well, just with the result and with less interference and manipulation either by or for Trump.

I am not for a delay either, but the hint of treason, the Russian connection, the Hatch Act issues, etc. are a big deal and I wish more time had been spent on it, or could be spent on it, to get all of that out. I'm all for the election going ahead on Tuesday, again, as I said, I just hope that those that have not yet voted realize what is at stake here and what Trump could do to this country. My issue is more around the fact that I want a fair and impartial election, and being able to have that at this point is tough to do, given the difference in treatment of the candidates. Also, I was partly thinking out loud in that I wish something could be done to get more info on Trump's very serious misdeeds out there, but we're running out of time. In any case, a delay is next to impossible anyway. I've also stated that I am trying to have faith in the American people and trust that they see past all of the bullshit and all of the impartial treatment. I made the statement I did mostly to help illustrate a point around the open issues and their severity and how Trump is allowed to get away with it, which is why I ended the way I did, again, stating that I hoped people would still see through all of this and help ensure that he is not elected as he will become a Dictator - he's already, to some extent, influencing things as such.

I probably could have done a better job articulating this, but I'm working on no sleep after our Halloween Party last night and, also, this election just gets me so frustrated, and I know many of us feel that way. I've voted, I've talked to people to try to get them to vote and to not vote for Trump, I volunteered on Hillary's campaign, etc. Like so many of us, I'm trying to do my part to keep Puffy Cheeto out of the White House and the fact that these serious allegations just don't seem as though they are being investigated properly, which is why he keeps getting away with anything he wants, is all the more maddening, especially as we are running out of time. One letter from that idiot Comey about the "new" Hillary e-mails, however (that, as it turns out, are basically irrelevant), and it's like she said she was going to go on a murder spree as soon as she got elected.

Seriously.  They* would believe this.  I've been supporting McMullin on social media, and you CANNOT get through to these Trump people that even if McMullin takes Utah, it will NOT help elect Clinton.  The electoral college has to be won by a majority, not a plurality.  Apparently they all need to take basic math again.  And civics.  And logic.  All they can do is spittle-scream, "A vote for him is a vote for Hillary!  And lies!  And dead babies!  And ISIS!  And you're going to HELL!!!!!"

Jesus, I do not want to be affiliated with those people.  I'm a conservative**, but I'm no Republican.  I'm no Democrat, either, but the Republicans have lost me forever by showing what huge cowards they are.

*Not all, obviously.  Some people are voting for policies.  But I don't think those people are the nutjobs screaming at people all over the internet.  Yikes.

**Also, I feel like I should probably make clear... I mean conservative in the original "smaller federal government, lower taxes for the middle class, help to grow small businesses" way, not whatever bastardized version the GOP is selling these days.
