Jessa, Ben and Their Brood: Making a (Diaper) Mountain out of a Mold House

Message added by Scarlett45

The Duggars post about politics on social media frequently, but these social media posts are not an invitation to discuss politics here in this forum. This rule extends to Duggar adjacent families, friends, associates etc. Such discussions are a violation of the Politics Policy.

I understand with recent current events there may be a desire to discuss certain social media postings of those in the Duggar realm as they relate to politics- this is not the place for those discussions. If you believe someone has violated forum rules, report them, do not respond or engage.

Please let these gay people be...uh, not white, too. You have the power Nancy Daniels.

I also want to see her explain femininity to a group of trans women, while Ben teacher trans men about the patriarchy.

Not possible. They will never be able to grasp the difference between sex and gender.

I know, right? Terms like queer, genderqueer, transgender, drag, sexually fluid, would totally blow their minds.

What about a gay Christian? You know it  would blow her mind that a gay person could possibly accept Jesus as their Lord & Savior.

I know, right? And, I know quite a few gay  Christians who have done just that.

A popular Christian entertainer came out a couple of weeks ago. I read the comments on his FB page from "Christians" and wanted to vomit.

I can safely say that Benessa will not be visiting with anyone LGBT now or in the future on TV.

They could - with ten years of intensive therapy and resocalization. O, and Jim Bo and Michelle's mouths sewn shut

I don't think any of this crew has even a smidge of empathy in them. They certainly haven't shown any, not even toward their own family members.

Those incapable of empathy are often diagnosed as sociopathic and/or narcissistic.

According to JB, he was abuse because his daddy was not religious enough (did not go to church, did not want to pray, etc. etc.) I think he is full of it. He uses religion to hide behind. Plus the fact, he abuses his own children by not letting them have their own lives, lack of education, lack of jobs/decides which jobs are proper for his kids (using the job term loosely,) does not get the proper help for his oldest son when he molested his sisters, did not get the proper help for his daughters who were molested, blames the devil, evilness, liberals, etc. etc. I could go on and on here.

Koka, I don't think they are allowed feelings. It's the gutless Gothard way. Makes you wonder what was done to him as a child that made hum that way. How effed up were Billy Boy's parents?

I think Jim Bob's parents were normal people with every day troubles (money problems for example). I think Jim Bob is a pathological liar who exaggerated his childhood woes for sympathy. Jimmy Lee Duggar probably drank beer and wasn't hyper religious. He wasn't fundie. He and Mary both had careers and religion wasn't obsessed over. Jim Bob twists this into "Daddy was an alcoholic who didn't pray/ read the Bible enough!  I was abused because of this!!! Wahhh!!". What sickens me is neither Mary nor Deanna dispute this crap that Jim Bob spews, at least not publicly. Jim Bob has severe Daddy issues and the entire Duggar family has suffered because of it.

I listened to Ben's preaching video.  Okay, I have now seen Ben rap and preach, or at least try to.   I understand that people get better through practice but you do need some basic skills in what you are trying to do. As a preacher he is both uncomfortable and he has little to no understanding of what he is saying.  As a rapper, well, he is just terrible.  And since he wants to rap about god, his lack of ability to understand his faith at any deep level means his lyrics would be total crap.

So, Bin, it's time to get some actual job skills.  You have a child to support.

Near the end of his sermon, Bin talks about how we was so sinful but has been saved.  I can only assume his great sins were listening to on-Christian music  (a.k.a. the Devil's own music), wearing tank tops in public (defrauder!) or other such great sins.

Spurge is really cute and lively and looks like he gets the right kind of stimulation.  At least for now.

It won't take Spurge long to surpass the collective intellectual level of the clan. There's little that is stimulating about their environment.

Hopefully Jessa will love Spurge enough to know she does not want to see another generation of kids raised The Duggar Way.

Jessa was once dubbed "Fundamentalism's Wild Child", so I held high hopes that she would be spirited enough to be the one to break out.  Jessa is smart enough to be calculating and she's got get own hustle going on, so maybe she "keeps up appearances". You know, like a cat plotting something just biding her time to pounce.

Don't yet have it in me to watch the video (I need to stay awake) but in that freeze-frame  Spurgie looks kinda' skeered. Just an odd capture.

But agree he is a cutie.

Will Bin get a drippy sundae tomorrow? Tacos (4 life)? Laid? :::snerk:::

Well, if so, she's sure playing the long con very, very well. She's still quite solidly up her family's collective asses (well, maybe not Smuggar's).

A cat is smart enough to bide its time until it gets what it wants.  Cats have plenty of time.  Just like my cats, Jessa is lazy, sleeps all the time, is coddled, and uses cuteness to get what she wants.  No offense was intended towards the feline species.

My Boo cat generally smacks me in the face to get what she wants. :D I think Jessa is of this more direct variety. That's one thing you can say about her: You know where you stand. There is absolutely zero artifice where she's concerned.

You're exactly right about that, Sew.  Jessa has that full on look of stank on her puss for anyone or anything she either dislikes, disagrees with, or writes off as tiresome.  She's nit good at hiding her boredom or her contempt.

I've had personal experience with knowing exactly how she feels about me, as she's banned me TWICE from her Instagram page. Both times, I'd posted nothing on her page; I already knew how quick she was with the smite button...she literally FOUND ME ON ANOTHER SNARK PAGE AND MASS-BANNED ALL THE USERS WHO HAD POSTED THERE THAT DAY. It was either FamyFriday or FreeJinger (neither of which exists any longer).

That tells me all I need to know about where her loyalties lie. The first time was during Kissgate; I supported same-sex couples posting to the Duggar parents' FB page. I don't even remember what she was on the rampage for the second time, and it was the more recent "offense."

I'm picturing a TLC exec phoning Bin immediately upon hearing this pronouncement and begging him, for the love of Duggar, to spill more, much more, about his sins. "Please, think of your family, Bin. We're desperate for a storyline."

Have to say, she did note that Boob respected their varied ages and abilities, and seems to have spent some quality time with the kids. So, thanks dad for not being mom.

This RIDICULOUSLY LONG love letter from Jessa to Daddy is sort of a FU internet letter!  Canned butter beans with ketchup!  BBQ canned tuna?!?

This really bothers me. I thought about it when I saw that there was a Father's Day video posted by Ben, and not a Father's Day video posted by Jessa and Spurgeon FOR Ben.

The only father who matters in this Clusterfuck is JB. The only mother who matters is J'chelle.

Part of the reason that adolesence is so painful for parents is that it is the time when children begin to form their own identities and pull away from the family. Since Gothard insists that there is no such thing as adocesence, and constant monitoring and repression of children will produce perfection, there is no reason for this to happen in gothard famiilies.

The Duggars now have, what, 9 or 10 adult children, and none of them are successfully launched as adults. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with an adult child wishing her father a Happy Father's Day, but  Jessa is an adult, married woman with a child, and I don't think she sees her husband as a real husband and father.

Near the end, when Jessa is listing off all the reasons why Bin is a good dad, he kinda winces and frowns when she says he plays with Spurge. Was Jessa actually listing things she wishes Bin would do - trying to "encourage" him?

Same with her looong list of why JBoob is such a great dad - some of those things sounded like wishful thinking.

Well, this letter sure plays into my theory that Jessa is firmly ensconced up JB's ass and is going nowhere. Bitch knows where her real meal ticket lies. I also contend that Jessa had to look up "prioritizing" on dictionary.com.

I can't help but think she is angling to get her parents back on the show if TLC falls for these kind of shenanigans. It wouldn't surprise me if Nancy Daniels is in negotiations with Boob - and yes, I think all that still goes through him - as I type.

But she must be taking the feedback about her being a Prickly Pear (what was it we called her here?) to heart, and she's making strides to soften her image, because with Jill in Danger America, you are right, she IS the face of this social experiment.

The scary thing to me is that I'm betting she -- along with most, if not all, the other kids -- actually believes that the stuff in that letter is true. Because they've been told over and over and over that it is and sent to eternal indoctrinating "family camps" and "family-integrated churches" created for the sole purpose of preventing children's individual development as maturing beings with souls of their own separate from their patriarchs'.

And because they've been so isolated and brainwashed that they have no idea at all what it would actually mean to have a parent who actually does, for example, encourage children to pursue areas in which they're individually gifted, let them be creative, take their opinions into consideration when making decisions. And, in particular, because they have no idea what it is to have parent who does not encourage children to Internet-post "father's day" messages that aren't father's day messages at all -- which go to the father, not the public -- but are, in fact, no more than fucking corporate PR. Just like all their parents' "birthday messages" to them.

I say this with confidence because I know how completely shocked and astonished I was by millions of perfectly normal family behaviors that I saw for the first time when I was 18-and-over and finally spent time in the homes of families not my own. The Duggar kids have no real idea that their parents are evil and insane. Even if any of them suspect it, they can't possibly grasp the reality of it, and, despite her reputation for being "the rebel," I think that, in some fundamental ways, Jessa is actually a prime double-downer and Kool-Aid drinker. Her stubbornness makes her want to believe what she's always been told because she's always been told that she's one of a very special brood and enterprise. ..... Yeah, they're "special" all right.

"For paying the bill for dental cleanings"

"For eventually buying a toilet auger"

Lets see, providing dental work, celebrating a child's birthday, and buying a toilet snake, yup, that puts him in the father of the year category. The other fathers that are reading this list are hanging their heads in shame.

Thank goodness I haven't had my coffee yet...that would have spewed out my nose and onto my tablet.

No doubt she and Bin are grateful for the toilet snake since Bin is Head Toilet Scrubber at Duggar Enterprises.

Here's some things Jessa forgot.

1. My dad cares more about my brother who forcibly touched me, then protecting me.

2. He constantly mocks his children.

3. Being inappropriate in public is okay (dry humping J'Chelle) but God strike you if you kiss before marriage

4. Says pedophiles should be burned (cannot remember the exact comment) but his son is one.
