I was thinking about that too! As a TC fan, I was a bit taken aback.

I watched several bits of the Interview with Mo. I had to FF because Tyler is still in that mode of self-fascination with all the twists and turns, and it's a little uncomfortable. Totally a normal part of recovery, but still a bit intense.

I do wish I could be interviewed by Mo, though. He's so impressed by everything. "Wow, that's CRAZY!......Really?? Wooooooow."

You forgot, No Way! or just plain Nooooooooooo!

The uneven miking on that episode was giving me my own mental health issues. A volume level that made Maurice clearly audible was making Kirsten much too loud. And he's the low talker of the two of them, so I wished it had been the other way around.

I didn't know KSt had a recurring role on 7th Heaven7th Heaven was very GH-heavy. Nancy Lee Grahn played the principal, Alicia Leigh Willis was one of bad-girl daughter Jessica Biel's besties, and Tamara Braun was on it too...I think she was a classmate of the oldest son (Barry Watson).

No show was more fun to mock on TWoP than 7th Heaven, especially in its why-is-this-still-running later years, when all those random kids kept moving in with the Camdens (because the young actors playing the original cast were finally free and running for the hills).

I didn’t really watch 7th Heaven but knew about it. I was always surprised how long it ran and amazed how the young kids grew up on that show. I always thought the youngest girl Ruthie (I think) was going to be a big star but I don’t think she did much after the show ended.

IIRC 7th Heaven was an Aaron Spelling jam, which generally meant daytime people up the wazoo in guest or recurring bits, just as with his primetime soaps.

Didn't it turn out that the 7th Heaven dad admitted to being either a kiddie porn addict or an abuser? (I can't stomach looking up the Stephen Collins accusations, but I'm pretty sure I have his name right. I had really liked that actor in other roles.)

His IG account didn't raise any alarms sadly the same can't be said for his Twitter account. I thought his Twitter had been hacked when I saw it the week before last because it was wall to wall Bitcoin retweets and Bitcoin related in general in what kind of seemed like an obsessive/hyperfocused type of way.

Out of curiosity I checked out his Twitter, and he said the Bitcoin stuff was due to hacking. Took me a while that tweet because it's sandwiched between a bajillion reposts about State of Mind, and the Bitcoin posts preceding it, that by the way are still up.

I think it was both, and yes, it's awful. I'd always loved Stephen Collins in many things, going back to Star Trek. I couldn't stomach 7th Heaven though.

In October 2014, the New York City Police Department began investigating Stephen Collins after an audio tape leaked to the media revealed a male voice—purported to be that of Collins—admitting to past sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 14. A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson stated that Collins had been investigated by the department in 2012 after receiving a claim from 40 years earlier regarding sexual abuse. The LAPD further stated that its investigation did not allow it to "substantiate the allegation" against Collins.

In a December 2014 interview with People, Collins admitted he committed "inappropriate sexual conduct with three female minors" in 1973, 1982 and 1994.

I, for one, will be happy to see MB leave the show. I used to enjoy him tremendously even tho he was a criminal but his acting was fine. Now when he comes on, I find something else to do for those few minutes because it’s actually painful to watch and listen to him. Thanks for the memories, Maurice. Time to go, buddy.

Actually, I think that Mo would do well with a drawn out exit story.  Like cancer or something duly overdramatic and then the character can be done.  If he just leaves, or has a "death" from violence, it's easier to bring him back later.

And I was being a little dramatic about Michael, but they really do need to widen their focus and stop having the whole show revolve around this one tiny group of people the way it does.

I don't believe for a second he'll retire. But yes, assuming he can't be fired without a major ruckus, I would transition Sonny into the patriarch role Guza had already start to pull him in in the final years of his reign: Married to Brenda, exiled from the mob after a major takedown by Scorpio (while still having white-collar skullduggery a la Y&R or Victor Kiriakis on DAYS), and leaving once and for all the lion's share of major story to his wife and children. That's organic enough. It would be a long-form story bible to get there - from the PCPD refocusing on him, to his downfall, to a kind of redemption process with Brenda, etc. - but people would watch it, and in the process you transition the larger show to different and new leads, new couples, new priorities.

It will be tricky behind the scenes, since I think it's been understood Carly and Sonny are endgame. So it would be weird if he rode off into the sunset with Nina, Brenda or someone else. But at the same time, I can't imagine LW wants to sacrifice her career for the sake of the story. Or that the show wants to lose Carly, the built-in drama machine.

^ This is all said with the knowledge that it usually doesn't matter what the actor wants. But Mo seems to have sway with the directions his character takes, so it would be chaotic if he and his fans want Sonny and Carly to retire together.

It sounded like MB would retire if he had another gig to pay the bills. Maybe we could get a petition together asking Prince Harry to hire him for one of his mental health projects.

I came back to GH right after he showed up in Nixon Falls. The PC part of the show was fine without him. Bring back undead Morgan to run the legit worldwide shipping network to give Carly something to do, recast Jax and move on from the lesser mob stuff. Though keeping Selina to torment the PCPD would be okay.

Tbh Carly annoys me far more than Sonny does these days and LW is riding out this show until cancellation so MB’s retirement wouldn’t mean much to me.

Same.

If this show goes off the air, it's gonna be Sonny and Brenda IMO. Sonny and Carly only exists anymore because of institutional inertia and comfort zones. I don't believe LW has anything to do with it. She will play what they give her and go where they want her, as always.

If the show was canceled right now, then both VM and SB would be back on contract to wrap it up and it would be S/B and J/C endgame.  I do not believe that Steve is as attached to his principles as he is to the idea of milking GH for every penny he can if it's not going to be out there in the future.

Or, for the lols, it would be S/C/J endgame.  :)

And Laura would be polishing up her reel for a job at DAYS.

I noticed that they stopped mentioning Jason in every other scene in the past couple weeks. His mentions have  considerably decreased since Monica said she was going to declare him dead.

It could well be a stunt for the miniseries, but it is also likely a shot across the bow at Disney/ABC. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns up on the mothership.

It's very Ron that they're actually having him play the no-one-remembers character he played on the mothership back in the day.

But yes, hopefully he's such a hit that he goes on the main show and stays far away from Port Charles.

Why exactly does Valentin care that Martin wants to date Lucy?

Manufactured angst.

That and possible conflict of interest when it comes to ELQ matters, since Lucy has her minuscule 1 percent that can make a difference.

Not that it's ever been a problem with Diane. The only time I've ever heard her mention conflict of interest is when she turned down representing Carly in the divorce against Sonny.

I'm not sure she'd happily exit the show just for the sake of being a company man.

How would that be up to her? She doesn't run story or throw her weight around that we know of. LW is not Carly. I have never heard a single credible story of LW gaming the show to get what she wants. They paired her with a serial killer who got her son raped and she promoted it. Laura Wright has always positioned herself to survive; she outlasted three cancelled soaps and became a lifer here, but she does not have the power to dictate a pairing. I'm willing to bet no woman currently on this show does.
