Assuming Rick's survival is a given, only Michonne's demise would utterly devastate me tonight.  The seemingly inevitable death or deaths of any to many from CDB will be tougher than tough to take.  And that -- horrible as it is to even think it -- includes Lil' Asskicker.  But Michonne?  No.  Just No.

Honestly curious as to all the 'therapy will be needed' type comments....

Haven't we seen countless deaths on this show already?  If you could survive seeing sweet Hershcel's head getting chopped off, what is going to be so awful about whatever may or may not happen tonight?

Noah's face getting eaten off was enough for me.  I still remember the look on his poor face--a combination of pain and shock and horror.  So I can take anything else that happens after that.  Just bring it on.

For those of you who ARE going to watching tonight's finale live, have fun & more power to you!

For those of you who -- like me -- are going to skip it and do a bit of recap-skimming before catching it sometime later On Demand or maybe even skipping it entirely, hang in there, this too shall pass.

And lest you think I'm a delicate flower who simply can't take the horror heat...eleven of my novels were horror novels. I can take it. I just choose not to.

I am on the west coast, so I have to watch the live stream on the AMC website at 6 p.m. because I am impatient and cannot bear to wait until 9 p.m.  For those who also use that method and go to the AMC site to watch live, do you often encounter the stream freezing up here and there in the middle of episodes?  I usually assume that it periodically freezes because so many people are trying to watch at one time.  If that is the case, I would imagine that tonight's live stream is going to be a disaster, with lots of other impatient folks tuning in.  In fact, I don't even know why I am going to attempt it because I know it's going to be locking up on me -- and yet, I have to try. Waiting for an extra 3 hours just seems like cruel and unusual punishment.

@Sherry67, I am a recent transplant to the PNW, and this is how I watch. I don't have a TV yet, so this is the only way for me to watch unless I wait a day. Yes, I get the screen locks but not a lot.

I'm glad to know it doesn't only happen to me!  It doesn't happen all the time, but during certain episodes it seems to freeze up quite a bit -- last week's show was one of those, I think.  It happens when I watch Better Call Saul too, but it doesn't really happen during Talking Dead, for some reason..

As much as I love this show I will have to treat it like How I Met Your Mother. After season 6 I was out and said "I will be back when he meets the mother" Too much with little reward. I will hang in there for season 7 but if the Negan drama is not resolved I will come back when the dead are the only threat to them. It's just too much. I know the world has come to an end but did the virus destroy every good and decent human being and only leave us with the scale of Morgan to Negan?! There has got to be a point when people ban together to rebuild and not continually destroy.

I have my wine, tissue and blood pressure medicine for tonight and I hope this is one time when I'm disappointed for a build up and no reward.

You guys are so funny.  I have been debating all day.  Will I watch live or let myself be spoiled to prepare myself?  My husband is looking at me like "Dude, get a grip!"  LOL.

I plan to watch live.  As of now.  That might change in 25 minutes.

It's just a tv show, right?  No need to stress.  It'll be ok.

I stopped watching after episode 11 of this season. So I could mainline the mini marathon before the finale. But now I am facing a sad stark reality. The Walking Dead is truly sorrow porn. Every time you like some red shirt they just up and die on you. Sometimes in the worst way.  and with Camp Dinner Bell numbers dwindling, I fear the death toll tonight. But because it is porn of a type, I am addicted and will watch anyway.

The thing I'm dreading the most about this episode is how many times AMC is going to try to ram "Fear the Walking Dead - season 2" down my throat.  Ennui on the high seas is no more entertaining than ennui in LA.

My real problem with tonight's epi is that they may pull a nasty cliffhanger... and I'll have to soldier on until Halloween.  Crap.

Eveyone. We're getting close to episode kick-off, so just a quick reminder to watch what you post.

NO SPOILERS unless in spoiler-allowed threads.

Let's have everyone be able to ENJOY the episode and discuss it to your hearts content tonight, tomorrow and all of next week and on.

As always, respect and be civil to your fellow posters and enjoy the show and the thread conversations. Thank you.

I live in L.A. and was so looking forward to the fact that FTWD was going to be based in my city.   So many possibilities.  So much wasted potential.  I was bored as hell.  I couldn't stand any of the characters and wanted them all dead by the Season 1 finale.

I've been dreading this episode and just wanting to get it over with. Avoiding spoilers, particularly about Negan, has been like walking through a minefield for months, and in the end pretty much an exercise in futility. Ugh.

To eat up the time today I went to the movies with a friend. Then I realized how much she has in common with the sloths in Zootopia, because I wanted to get the heck home afterwards and she just kept talking and taking her time. I finally said I needed to get home so I could watch the Walking Dead, which turned into a ten-minute discussion of why don't I just record it and watch it later. I said, "Because I want to watch it live and the internet is going to blow up" and had to practically kick her out of the car. LOL! Back home just in the nick of time! Whew.

Very good points. It's frustrating that every group  that CDB meets ends up being crazy killers. I would have liked to see more World Building by now. Planting crops or finding new ways to get rid of walkers like trenches. Woodbury used to dig pits & the Walkers would fall in them.

I've got strawberry cake and I'm on my third drink. Bring it on, show! I'm ready.

On second thought, I'm not ready. Can this finale please be about fluffy kittens, wiggly puppies, and TF making s'mores?

Bad suggestion. Remember what happens to puppies and horses and goats?

I'm not even looking forward to Daryl getting a cow.

Unless he names it Mooey Deschanel or something.
