For all his bragging to Zoe about that Catalina gig, it didn't look like the sort of facility that's offering all that impressive of a salary. No wonder he needs to work two places at the same time. Honestly, between him and the questionable skills and etiquette of Dr. Robin Givens, if he's working at the same hospital, I'd rather have my baby in the bathtub at home biting down on a stick for anesthesia. 17 Link to comment

Joimiaroxeu January 11, 2019 Share January 11, 2019 I must've missed the reference to cremating the baby. So, I guess now it comes back around to whether that baby they held was actually Beth, meaning Dr. Westminster Abby did something make her seem "dead" for a while. Then the birthmark will be how Hope and Liam recognize her later. But geez, that's been done so many times on soaps. It'd be more interesting I think if Steffy adopts Beth, Liam and especially Hope bond with her, but it never occurs to them that she's their baby because she doesn't have the birthmark. 2 Link to comment

I can't decide what the worse possibility is here. Now that Dr. Shady has shown Taylor the baby from his hotel bathrool, what's she going to think? Coincidentally he came across a completely unrelated baby on the ferry back from Catalina? She's nuts, not stupid. But the alternative is even worse. Are they going to let Taylor play along and buy Hope's stolen baby for her own daughter? There's no result here that isn't awful. 17 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu January 11, 2019 Share January 11, 2019 Traumatic? Reese, get over yourself. You're not the one who just lost a baby. You only lost your marbles, apparently. Who does Ridge think he is? On today of all days he has to whip it out and try to have a measuring contest with Bill. I'm amazed Bill didn't laugh in his face. Ridge is insecure because he knows he'd never win that battle. "Our children have to come first." Except when you accept your husband treating your daughter like warm garbage because your marriage is more important to you than her. I see you, Brooke. People are going to think Hope is suffering from postpartum depression when she keeps insisting Beth is still alive. Meanwhile, apparently Reese has pretty much checked out of reality and Taylor might be the one to figure it out. Alrighty then. 11 Link to comment
Amberosia January 12, 2019 Share January 12, 2019 Well, there it is! Finally; it was going to make me crazy if they tried to make us wait until next week or longer to see Beth. I knew the second Hope uttered the words "I know it sounds crazy, but..." that we were gonna get that reveal. However, leading up to that it slowly started dawning on me with a sense of dread as Dr. B kept saying he wanted to show Taylor how much he cares about her, that he may actually fess up to her that this is Hope's baby from the giddy up. I figured when he was describing the delivery he was talking about mystery lady rather than Hope, or maybe even blending the two. Because I can't reconcile mystery lady being released the same day of such a traumatic event, so unless he was referring to another windstormy day he must be combining the births, right? Or maybe he is telling the truth about the abruption and that's why Hope passed out, but he was able to get Beth out in time? I don't know, but I do know I hadn't considered for even a second that Taylor would get that baby for Steffy knowing that she was Hope's baby. Taylor, who knows first-hand the anguish of being allowed to believe your baby is dead when she isn't? Surely she can't have that much of a rage-on for Brooke and Hope that she'd knowingly participate in something so cruel? I hope not... I know Bell-A is populated by all levels of hypocrite, that's just a bridge too far for me. Speaking of bridges... Ugh, Ridge truly has no concept of "time and place", does he? Really? Is now really the time you want to pee on Brooke's leg? Seriously? I can't with him, I just can't. Good for Brooke saying right in front of him that she doesn't care that Ridge doesn't like it, she'll always care about Bill, or that she thinks Ridge is wrong and believes in his change, that she's proud of him... His face was pretty hilarious through it all. 12 Link to comment
CharlizeCat January 12, 2019 Share January 12, 2019 C'mon, Lippy! Put two and two together! I know this won't happen, but what if ??? There was a hastily written redemption for Taylor. She plays along with Reese just long enough to confirm that the baby is Beth and is instrumental in getting her returned to Liam and Hope. Prosecute and lock up Reese, Xander is already leaving, and for safety's sake, Zoe goes back to Europe to an undisclosed location. All gone in one fell swoop. That would wrap things up fairly swiftly. Otherwise ... I mean, she can't be that stupid. It's can't be a happy coincidence that an unwanted newborn just fell into Reese's lap, ready to sell to Taylor and Steffy. That's not even legal and if Taylor is so paranoid about staying above the law in the first place, why would she agree to something like that? Steffy, as well. If Bell writes to suit the squeaking wheel fans, maybe he's received a lot of negative fallout about this SL and is going to mercifully end it. Probably not. 12 Link to comment

Waldo13 January 12, 2019 Share January 12, 2019 Taylor is really more concerned about Dr Wayne Shady feelings than Hope and Liam. Ridge is a friggin idiot. This is not the time nor place for him to confront Bill. Brooke tells Bill he has to be committed to himself to be a better man, true, but shouldn't Ridge do the same thing? Love him or hate him Bill is twice the man Ridge is. SingerIslander January 12, 2019 Share January 12, 2019 I've been wrong before, but I was thinking there was a BTS reason for why Ridge had that talk with Bill at this time, on this day. It felt to me like B&B was ending (for now) Bill's non-stop pursuit of Brooke, as he hears from both Ridge and Brooke that she wants to be with her husband, so that he can be more attentive to Katie with IR leaving. Timing-wise, these scenes were taped right around the time when Ingo made his decision not to stay, right before the holidays. B&B ends things abruptly sometimes, when you're not even aware they're doing it. It kinda reminded me of how they ended Ridge and Quinn's flirtation--quickly, with no real explanation other than "I love my fiancee/I love my husband", mainly because Kimberlin Brown was about to show up, and B&B needed Quinn committed to her husband to form the third side of the Sheila/Eric/Quinn triangle. Plus, while I like Brill, it was a bad look on Bill, consistently pursuing a woman who wasn't really kissing him back when he'd kiss her, and who told him repeatedly she was married and in love with her husband (just as he'd also done with Steffy). This way, they've kinda cleared the slate for Bill to look elsewhere. I could be wrong about this, but that was how I saw it. 11 Link to comment
mightysparrow January 12, 2019 Share January 12, 2019 If Taylor does anything BUT notify the authorities that her pal has a spare baby lying around his apartment, she's even worse than I thought. Killer Taylor and her Dr. Psycho might feel they literally have the power of life and death over everyone else, but that's not the case. I don't have much of a problem with Taylor NOT thinking it's Hope and Liam's baby because she is just that stupid. Friday's episode was proof positive that Hauxdilox comes by her monstrous self-absorption and hatefulness honestly; just look at her parents. Ridge decided that the memorial for a dead child was the perfect place to piss all over the grandparents of that dead child. Ridge doesn't want to get into a dick-measuring contest with Bill because he'll get a good look at what both his wife AND his daughter have enjoyed so very much. I hate that my poor Brooke is going to be stuck with that grubby asshole when it's obvious that KKL and DD have the superior chemistry. KKL gave a masterclass in acting with Brooke's monologue because it must have taken all of her ability as an actor to make Brooke sound remotely convincing in her 'stand by your man' speech. I wonder how long it's going to be before Ridge is back to bullying and insulting Hope. 12 Link to comment

SO, here is how it's going down: ope & WaffleBoy have NotBeth cremated so no one can run a DNA test on her (or him), and everyone can continue to swill Gatorade because they're at risk of dehydrating from all of their moping and wailing. Dr. Restalyne takes RealBeth from Dr. Shady and brings it to Stuffy, somehow Stuffy legally adopts her (how this comes about remains to be seen). Four more months will ensue with them slooooooowly wondering, "Stuffy's little girl looks just like Dope! WAIT - is that RealBeth? But what about NotBeth? We held NotBeth! WE LOVED NOTBETH!!! Where did RealBeth come from?" and eventually someone will cut RealBeth's hair and do a DNA test on her. Dr. Restalyne switches the DNA so the charade goes on for another two months, but she tells Stuffy that her new baby (probably named Steffy the Third) is really RealBeth and Stuffy keeps Dr. Restalyne's secret because she doesn't want her mother to go to jail. Dope and WaffleBoy get Bill involved and he convinces Stuffy to give back RealBeth before the cops get called, and then consoles her and she gets knocked up with $Bill's Stallion Baby. The End. 7 Link to comment

In the real world, it would take more than a month before Steffy would have a baby placed in her care. Even if it was a private adoption, she would still have to go to the courts, have the legal paper work like a birth certificate, gets some visits from a social worker, and probably a dna test from the birth parents who will be giving up their parental rights. I would imagine about another $100K to payoff Florence and stake another gambling binge. Reese wants his name to stay out of this so I guess Florence will receive the money, therefore I would love to see Florence take the money and run. I would imagine that with this hole adoption SL TIIC wouldn't consider a legal adoption contract nor a legal birth certificate. If and when Beth is discovered as being alive, it's still cruel to Hope and Liam for Stuffy to have two babies and they have none. I don't care what TIIC make them say. 8 Link to comment
Joimiaroxeu January 14, 2019 Share January 14, 2019 Florence. As in Nightingale? Lol, sometimes I wonder how they come up with these names. Brooke should suggest Hope get grief counseling instead of indulging her fantasies. No one has any reason to think Beth is still alive, least of all Hope right now. Just when you think this show couldn't get more ridiculous. "Steffy, honey, look what I got you! Another baby! Got it for a steal too!" How can buying a stranger's baby possibly be legal? Human trafficking is against the law in this country. Taylor and Steffy are about to add another felony to their list of crimes. 22 Link to comment
