Oh I agree. Yes I do.  I never watched Dr. Quinn, and he looked a little too Michael Landon-y for my taste but this I like.  He could do Silver Fox Prada ads.  B&B who never hires anyone new for more than a month, get this man as recurring.  He deserves the pay that the interns get for crying out loud.  I read his IMDB.  He made a movie with so many celeb offspring it's funny - Cheryl Ladd's daughter, Cuba G ooding's son,  John Travolta's sister, Jason Connery, Barry Van Dyke, Heather Graham's sister, Gene Simmons' daughter, Robbie Rist - OLIVER from The Brady Bunch (remember that annoying kid)? Joe Lando is only 56. I thought he was much older than that. He’s only 2 & half years older then me. Unfortunately, they have too many men on B&B so I doubt they'd sign him to a contract. That said, they just put Jennifer Garies back on contract and she would need a non Forrester man for her.  Lando might fit the billl.

I was SMH at so much of yesterday's episode, most especially the scenes with Katie and Thorne gushing to Will about the wedding that is happening TOMORROW.

Will: "Tomorrow?" He's six/seven and even he knows this is fucked up.

Katie just giggles like the five-year-old she is.

Thorne: "Yep. Your mom wants to make an honest man out of me, asap." Thorne, you are an idiot.

Will: "Huh?"

Katie, stops with the giggling (for the moment): "I, um, think Thorne was trying to make a joke." Well, it's not funny. None of this is funny or cute or romantic. She's been dating him all of two months and I can't forget that five seconds after she ended things with "Uncle" Wyatt, she was making out with Thorne. Yeah, that's a perfect set-up to get married 60 days later.

Thorne: "Well, you should hear my knock-knock jokes. I've got about 100 of them." Keep on being corny, Thorn-y.

Katie's back to giggling again. 

Will: "Uh, no."

Katie: "No. No, no, no." 

Thorne: "No? Oh, well. I believe the man of the house has spoken."

Katie: "Mm-hmm." These two imbeciles are going to be raising Will? Lord, help that child.

Will: "After tomorrow, I won't be." He falters, hesitation written all over him but they're too clueless and selfish to see it. "You're gonna be moving in, right?" His face does not look thrilled and who can blame him?

Thorne: "Yeah. That's, uh, usually how it works when two people get married."

Katie: "You know, honey, we really want you to be part of the ceremony."

Thorne: "Yeah, but only if you're comfortable, you know? No pressure." No pressure? No pressure?!?!

AYFKM? Will is a child. He doesn't know what to do with any of this. In his mind, big brother/Uncle Watie was hanging around all of five minutes ago and now, Big Bird has shown up and is insta-marrying his mom. 

And all to bolster a custody case. If I were a judge, this would be one of many strikes against Katie getting full custody. She needs to show stability and there's nothing stable about a revolving door of men in her child's life. If she were single, sure, have as many boyfriends/fiances/husbands as she wants and this is not to say Katie should be celibate til Will is grown, but he's not grown, not by a long shot, and since he came first, he deserves to be put first, not put through the wringer of mommy's emotions when the relationship inevitably goes south. Because if anyone thinks Thatie is for the long haul, well, I've got some swamp land to sell you. 

Katie: "You know, um, honey, just because Thorne is gonna become your stepfather tomorrow doesn't mean that your dad is not still your dad." Right...

Thorne: "Yeah. I would never try to take his place." Oh really?

Katie: "You understand that?"

Will: "Yeah." I mean, really, Katie, what do you expect him to say?

Katie: "Okay."

Thorne: "So you're okay with the wedding?" Again, what the fuck is he supposed to say? "No?" As if that would give Katie pause. 

Katie: "I mean, I realize that it's happening a little fast." Ya think? But instead of letting Will have a say and this is a conversation that should have been had between mother and son, without Thorne, they just keep piling on words, trying to justify their stupidity to a six year old.

Thorne: "Yeah, but I love your mom, and I love you, and I want us to be a family." Because you fucked up your own by fucking your child's mother's killer? 

Katie: "But we don't want to rush you if you're not ready, okay?" Sure...like you'll put on the brakes if Will isn't comfortable. But how in the world could he be ready? He's known Thorne what, 6-8 weeks? There is no way in hell he's ready for this. He doesn't even know what this is. 

Will, who can read the room far more than these two clowns: "You're not rushing me. I like Thorne." A Thorne who's on his very best footing to impress Katie. Let's see how long that last when Will inevitably acts out over the rapid upheaval in his life and the fact that despite their assertions to the contrary, Katie and new stepdaddy will do everything in their power to oust Bill from Will's life. 

Bill has done some terrible things but his recent insanity with Hauxdi aside, we've always known him to be a loving, attentive father. Speaking of attentive, where was Will when Katie and Wyatt were having their constant boink fests? Oh, that's right, with a sitter. Where was her concern for Will then? And I can't forget that this whole custody mess got started because Katie and Thorne were pissed that they got cockblocked when Will wanted to come home instead of staying with Bill.

Oh great...Katie is back to giggling. 

Will turns very serious as he looks at his mother, his eyes never leaving her: "I just want you to be happy." Katie immediately wells up. As she should. Because no child should ever be put in the position of worrying about their mother's happiness and it's beyond obvious that Will has dried his mother's tears many a time. I feel so sorry for Will, being put on the spot and in the middle. "And Thorne makes you happy. So let's do this." 

Katie: "Yeah, let's do this."

Yeah, let's do this, Katie. Who cares if it fucks Will up?

Elsewhere, Bill had the line of the day when Ridge burst into Katie's house like the Kool-Aid Man because God forbid Bill have a conversation with the mother of his child:

"You Forresters are like cockroaches." 

And we know exactly what to do with cockroaches...

Katie, where was your concern over how much or little time Bill was spending with Will when you were fucking Wyatt? So she can shut the fuck up, too.

Bill showed up late to see Will but he did show up and instead of putting Will first and letting him see his father, she chose to bawl and let Thorne do the talking for her. 

I don't think Katie has as strong a case as she thinks she does, especially considering her recent bout with mental instability (pointing a gun and threatening to shoot Quinn at FC, for one) and alcoholism (feeding Will spaghetti ala floor anyone?) She's also forgetting that Bill took wonderful care of Will for all those months she was AWOL and this is not a knock on Katie's PPD but she can't deny the fact.  If Katie wants what's best for Will, she'll realize that that means ensuring he has a good relationship with his father. 

I'm Team Bill here and I have feeling that Brooke will be, too, dangling Brill in front of us once more but I'm not taking that bait. Not again.

Liam and Hope were very cute and I loved Liam's accents. 

So it looks like we'll be in for more of Sludge tongue-batheing Hauxdi over the relaunch of the bedroom line. 

HARD PASS to all of it.

As far as the general public is concerned, Taylor is a renowned psychiatrist AND has treated Katie in the past. Years ago, my aunt died and left my uncle with a 10 and 8 year old. My uncle, being the serial monogamist he is (and I'm being very generous here) had another woman he was set to marry four blooming months after his wife died.

I also didn't mind Quinn but we barely saw her

I kind of liked Hope and her bangs and all of a sudden she has a belly !

I hate spaghetti straps so Katie's dress did nothing for me and she was so over-the-top in her vows

I did see some shots of the wedding though.

Katie, 1986 called and wants it's prom dress back. This wasn't flattering in the least, with the boobage spilling out all over the place and NOT in a good way and the Gorden Gartrell skirt. 

Naughty Donna, upstaging the bride, but I'm glad to see JG back on canvas. Now, if they could just get AJ back on contract, I'd be a happy girl. Brooke looked great as well. I'm not sure about Hope's bangs. AJ's dress was okay but she always looks great.

They do make a beautiful couple. SC seems to really light up around AN. The bangs might be growing on me. 

What in the Sam Hill was this??? Can there be any doubt that a revisit of Quidge (and Deric) is on the horizon?

I'm ready for the Dominatrix vs the Honey Bee. Eric has better history with Donna IMO and girlfriend carried a torch for him for a long time. He blew her off saying that post Stephanie he wasn't looking to love again but then he actually did go all in with Quinn so now maybe that he has distance from Stephanie's death and he is able to move on he might realize that he does love Donna that much to try again. Or be tempted. I don't think we're going to get Eric naked on a ledge anymore.

I think we can all agree that we will be seeing a Donna/Eric redux (they don't pull out those old scenes for nothing), which means that Quinn and Ridge will be exploring more than each other's lips and the top of the guest house bed.......sooooooo, I say:

Let Carter and Brooke have a go. I know my fellow Brill lovers will want to smack me upside my head for even thinking that, but I know if they reunite them, it will only end badly for Brooke. And really, Brooke and Carter would make some incredible chocolate swirl. 

I would also not be opposed to them signing the good Judge up for a spell and letting him and Brooke discover each other. There Ridge, take that! There are always repercussions for blackmail.

Why didn't Wyatt mention, to Liam, of fast they got married.  A short time ago, he was engaged to Katie.  I hope he mentions this in court.

Blackberry went out of business at least two years ago, I thought.

And being from California, I can tell you absolutely no one here, least of all anyone in the fashion industry, is rocking a phone from the technological Renaissance Age if for no other reason than they don't last longer than a year anymore* and it's far cheaper to replace a phone than to fix the one you have.

*This is why I hate phone shopping more than buying a car. Only once did I get a phone to get to 21 months of use and it was entirely my fault for getting water  in the charging port. The phone I upgraded to lasted significantly less time, so it was covered under a warranty replacement for five bucks....only for me to break THAT when tripping over my dog playing Pokemon Go THE SAME DAY ?

Back on topic, it's sorta nice to see a semblance of the old school umbrella story. B&B's cast is so small and I sular that they almost all become like this by default, but having loyalties divided like Liam and Wyatt both being subpoenaed for different sides is what daytime TV used to be.

Terrible and rushed as it is, I prefer this over when people were taking sides in Hope vs Steffy 1.0 and that ate up the entire year of 2012.

Blackberry no longer manufactures hardware but they do still produce phones. They're expensive and ugly, so mostly used by executives that still prefer their secure Hub. I can't imagine anyone in fashion using one either, unless they were accountants or something. 

I've mainly seen Donna in drive-bys (except for arguing with Pam about some kind of receptionist thing when I first started watching), so I'll admit to being a little curious where that goes. I'm not looking forward to revisiting Quidge though.

I think most of the irritation towards TK is that he was too different from original Ridge. If he had been a new character it would have been better. Also it's hard to forget his really questionable grooming choices over the last few years. I loved TK on AMC/PC but B&B hasn't been his best work.

Another strike against TK is his lack of chemistry with KKL. I don't have a long enough history with the show to have strong feelings for or against Brooke but as one of the shows leading ladies since Day 1, she should have had a Ridge recast she could sizzle with, since it's one of the core themes of the show.  That is probably the worst aspect of TK as Ridge. I don't buy that he even likes Brooke most of the time.

I didn't start watching B&B until shortly before RM left. I had no investment in the Ridge character or RM's portrayal of him. Meanwhile, I loved TK when he was on AMC. But, I can see he's probably not a good fit for the role of Ridge. For one, it seems he doesn't like portraying a dress designer. That's likely why Ridge is rarely shown doing that anymore. TK also doesn't seem to like having romantic partners older than about 30 and I think it has shown in his pairings with both Katie and Brooke. (For the most part I missed the Quinn era so I'm reserving judgment on that.) When Ridge went to put the touch on that custody hearing judge it struck me how much Ridge was like TK's Zach character on AMC. Zach was more than a little shady and was not above putting lots of faceless people's lives at risk, or steamrollering his own friends and family, just to get his way. It's sad to me that a legacy B&B character has been modified to fit the kind of macho character TK seems to want to play. If B&B has $Bill then why does Ridge have to be that kind of character too?

I saw them more complicit in interview than in the soap.
And the scenes of kisses look wrong.
But with RS wouawww ...
The looks, the smiles, the kisses ... Everything is hot
That's why I love them together
With Kathy it was boring ...
With Caroline it was weird
I think it's Quinn he needs, but it's true, I like people who are damaged and a bit dark ... I think it's going to happen

You know, it's interesting because when I've watched interviews with KKL and TK, I do see chemistry but there's so much warmth coming from TK and it seems he really likes and respects KKL. It just doesn't translate to his portrayal of Ridge. I guess BB handed him "play Ridge like an asshole at all times" memo.
