B&B: What's Up Today at Forrester Creations? - Daily Chat

Recommended Posts

I laughed out loud when I saw that Finn texted Steffy that kind of news. Also, that text should have come with an "and, by the way, I wouldn't let him drive Kelly anywhere right now."

Hey, Beige and Hobo?  If you don't want to be walked in on by the owners of the house you're squatting in, keep your beige-ing in your room. Or, you know, get your own place. And, phew, they went on about the wonders of Steffy. I was concerned we might get through the episode without anyone giving Steffy a tongue bath. Crisis averted!

I wonder if Beth is going to get any sweet moments with Liam, too, or if Kelly is going to be the only daughter that matters. It's still infuriating that Hope hasn't been informed that her daughter's father is in the hospital. As Steffy pointed out, Beth is probably asking the same "where's daddy" questions that Kelly has, and Hope isn't armed with the knowledge of where he actually is.

My guess for JMW's maternity leave is that she's going to go with Liam to an overseas clinic that has some kind of experimental treatment.

Liam leaving the hospital was beyond idiotic.  You know, I kinda wanna like him cuz he is very sweet with his daughter, but sheesh, he's always so overly dramatic & annoying.  Btw, was it just the huge sweatshirt that looked enormous on her, or is JMW finally starting to show?

Dishrag & Hobo continue to be nauseous-making to watch.  And skeery too, cuz he still looks like he's gonna break her like a twig.  Yuck.

I was thinking that Finn’s text to Stuffy is in violation of the HIPPA law.

I could imagine if part of Liam’s experimental treatment would be “sleeping” with Stuffy 3 times a day for a month. Finn would be ok with it because Stuffy wants to save Liam’s life and he would do anything to make Stuffy happy.  As a plus, Finn could spend time with Shiela and Luna without Stuffy being up his ass.

This is what I was thinking if she goes somewhere with Liam - Finn will be home alone, without the warden to forbid him. And you know that, as soon as Sheila and Luna figure out Steffy's out of town, they'll be running over to see him.

HIPAA:  Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Liam's jailbreak from the hospital was dangerous, but I understood him wanting to spend what time he thinks he has left with his daughter.

Finn: “There’s no easy way to say this…Liam is dying.”

Maybe it’s just me, not someone in the medical field, but I’d think there might be kinder verbiage than that, maybe something he should’ve learned in medical school. Granted, he’d basically already told her that, but still, it seemed harsh.

Probably shouldn’t expect much from someone who pissed all over HIPAA like he did by texting his wife private medical information he received 2nd-hand, about her ex-husband, who is currently in the room with her & their shared child.

This is all to get JMW off-canvas for a few months, correct? I can’t imagine they’d let SC go, but I definitely see why he’d want to.

I'm beyond angry that no one -- No One -- has told Hope about Liam.

Liam hasn't asked why Hope hasn't been to see him. He hasn't asked about Beth. I willing to cut him a teeny tiny bit of slack -- brain bleed/brain injury/etc. and all that. But he doesn't have amnesia. Unless we are to believe that Stuffy has lied to him off camera that Hope doesn't care/ doesn't want to see him there is no reason for this Stuffy-centric story line. No reason for him not to want to see Hope and Beth.

Stuffy is his ex. His EX-wife. She's not his next of kin. That's Bill. She has absolutely no legal right to make decisions regarding his care, who he sees, who knows about his condition. what he does, when he does it, where he goes. She has no right to be the one to tell him about his "inoperable" condition.

I want Hope to find out that Stuffy has kept her and Beth away from Liam. I want Hope to punch Stuffy into next week. Extra points if Hope tells Deacon; Deacon mentions it to Sheila; Sheila decides to tech Stuffy a reason. Extra extra points if Luna is involve in Sheila's lesson giving.

How stupid is this once again and how stupid are Grace and Bridget?  They did scans and were only looking for a brain bleed but the scans also showed the mass in Liam’s brain. Any good radiologist would look at the entire scan of Liam’s head as soon as they have done the scan.  It’s a mass not a nodule.

Color me surprised that Beth was mentioned by Finn and Stuffy and even more surprised that Taylor and Ridge also mentioned Beth.

Hey Finn, I got news for you, brains do not feel pain.

All we would have needed was one scene of Finn asking Liam "is it OK if we discuss your case with Steffy?"  Or Finn saying something like "I'm only telling you all of this because Liam gave his permission for us to discuss his case with you."  Instead, we've just got Finn throwing HIPAA out the window and not only talking to Steffy in detail about Liam's case, but giving her this info before Liam is told.  So inappropriate.

And, of course, the mother of Liam's other daughter still has no idea he's sick at all. We could have had scenes of Beth asking Hope where Liam is, saying he's missed two good night calls in a row, and Hope becoming concerned, but trying to cover up that concern so Beth doesn't get upset. Instead, we get Beige and the Hobo talking about Liam.

Par for the course with this show that The Logans are treated like nobodies when it comes to alerting them to Liam’s condition. Hope, who?  Beth, who?!

Actually, Liam is the one who said he didn't want anyone else besides the doctors (Grace, Bridget, and Finn) and Principessa Steffy to know. Is it absolutely ridiculous that he wouldn't want the mother of his other daughter, Beth, to know? Of course. But it was something he said in last Wednesday's episode.

It's also quite ridiculous that for once, we have doctors honoring HIPPA and Bridget is keeping this from her own sister.

Although don't get me started on her calling Steffy "Stef" and "honey." I realize she got close to Hook, Line, and Sinker when Taylor took Dirt Nap #2, but that was eons ago. It was galling to see that Bridget seemed to have more of an affinity for her one-time stepsister than her actual sister and Bridget knows full well how Steffy has made it her mission on more than one occasion to make Hope's life a living hell and take down all the "evil Logans," of which Bridget is obviously one.

Especially if Steffy knew about the glances between Finn and Bridget during the Eric (?) surgery!

Which feels like more of the show placing the thumb on the scale to prop Steffy, because when has she ever given a fuck about being sensitive to anyone's wants and feelings? She had no problem joining in with the rest of her family to celebrate Sheila's demise right in front of Finn before they'd even cleaned up the blood from the hardwood floors or blasting her daddy's marriage to Brooke at every opportunity.

I'll grant Liam is once again being selfish and thoughtless and with Hope spiraling, there's a part of me that's glad it's Steffy and not Hope getting pulled into his vortex of suck so she's not having second thoughts about this loser puke. But someone in this equation ought to be thinking about Beth, who doesn't have a stepfather to comfort her or even grandparents since Mommy and Granny Brooke are on the outs No one needs to tell Hope everything but a simple "I'm in the hospital and can't see Beth" is the least she deserves.

"Liam and Kelly just had a beautiful moment. He can't be dying."  Um, Steffy, do you not remember any of the circumstances of that beautiful moment? How he had to basically escape from the hospital, and how he almost passed out like four different times during the night?

And Finn doesn't even stay with them to answer any questions Liam might have when his ex-wife tells him he's dying? Poor Liam can't even have a fatal tumor without playing second fiddle to Steffy in the story.

I would love for Beige to be making yet another one of her pop-ins at FC just in time to overhear Eric propping Brooke to the Hobo. It made me laugh remembering how she cited them living together in Eric's house as some bizarre proof of the strength of their relationship. Although maybe that's why Eric is pushing Brooke, she has her own place, and Eric and Donna are tired of walking in on the Beige-ing in their living room.

It would be all kinds of karma if Kelly grows us to lock horns with Mommy Dearest, seeing her for the succubus she is, and gravitates towards her former stepmother, Hope.

Sadly, I have no such hopes. We all, well most of us over on General Hospital, had the hope that her spawn with Jax, would have been Cujo's anti-thesis, but she just morphed into a mini-Cujo.

And since it looks to me, the "writers" on both of these soaps seem to swap ideas, I will be shocked if Kelly doesn't turn out to be like her succubeast of a mother.

Sheesh, Smuggy, you are really lousy at giving bad news!

Can Liam be any more annoying?   If you’re gonna continue to annoy the piss outta me, Liam, do us a big favor & die a quick death will ya?  Oh and the usual soap thing of not wanting to tell anyone he’s dying?  More annoying shit from Liam.

Oh Carter, GO AWAY!!!  Why doesn’t Hope just tell him he’s a weakling, coward wimp with no balls & to fuck the fuck off & slink away with his smelly vampire lady?

So of course Steffy the Magnificent is the one to tell Liam his diagnosis rather than...I don't know...an actual *doctor*. Of course it's possible she bought a medical license like her mommy. IDK what Carter is expecting from Hope. He made his choice to knife her in the back...and yet he still thinks he has a chance to get back in her bed. I'm starting to think he really *is* Ridge's brother...because that level of arrogance is 100% "Ridge".

This whole "Mr. Waffle and His Brain Tumor Go to Malibu" storyline better not kill off Liam when we A). had to go through the whole "is he gonna croak or ain't he?" bullcrap with Grampa Eric and B). we get left with Will. 🙄

I do like Scott Clifton and he really brings energy to the otherwise bland scenes we keep being subjected to (I'm looking at you, Finn and Will. Neither of you will ever win an acting award).

I snark on this show.  A LOT. But Scott brought it today and showed why he's won more than one Emmy.

His emotions being all over the place. The denial. The fear underneath the denial. The false bravado that he would beat it. It rang very true to life.

And wonder of wonders, Steffy said that now that they know the full truth about his diagnosis, he needs to tell the rest of his family, Hope especially. But he dug his heels in and so Hope will remain in the dark, for now, which grates.

Although dying or not, we do not need a Lope reunion so put down the cray-cray crackers, Deacon.

It's why he's always been my favorite Dillon* The recast was just soooo bland White Bread! And even if he were to leave this show, I wouldn't wish the current General Hospital on him. They've already RUINED original and only LUCKY Jonathan Jackson's return. But I love him and that's why I'm still watching.

Agree 100000000000%. And Sean looks EONS better than the block of 'roid they brought back and fired Sean for. Bitter, who, me?

*General Hospital-teenage Dillon. The best, snarkiest, good Quartermaine of the teen set in the early aughts.

Hmmm, how will the show spin it so that Evil Logan Hope “wasn’t there for Liam” when he was dying - dying!  That Evil Logan gene made her soooo selfish, she couldn’t be bothered to comfort her daughter’s father when he was dying - dying!   /s

But if Hope does get blamed, would anyone really be surprised?

How great would it be if Steffy denied Liam's request to keep his condition just between them?  If she showed up to Hope's cabin unexpectedly, and Hope started reading her the riot act (which would be well-deserved) but Steffy remained completely silent.  No rebuttal.  And Hope actually looked at Steffy and saw the pain and tears in her eyes, prompting Hope to switch gears immediately to ask, with great empathy, what was wrong.  Steffy tells her and then they cry.  Together.  And hug each other as would any two people about to lose a person they both love very much.

That would be great.

Finn to Kelly, did you know it’s pronounced Bibberty 😜?

I’m sorry to say I really cannot take Liam seriously with wearing that knit hat.

Liam is not able to function at 100% as of now. How does he expect to keep his condition a secret when he’s falling on his face.  Driving should also be out of the question.  I don’t care what Liam wants, Hope and Bill have to be told. I sure hope Liam will have tender moments with Beth as he has with Kelly.

I’m sorry I just have to do a little ranting.  As I said before, it’s all Stuffy all the time. Why did the daughter daddy dance have to be with Kelly?  Couldn’t the daughter daddy dance be with Beth?  It seems that it will be only Stuffy and Finn standing by Liam if they keep the promise not to tell anybody else. Why is Liam all of a sudden the best father of all time and they are eulogizing Liam while he’s still alive?  Is it because Stuffy needs more air time for her daytime Emmy reel?

Kelly is the only reason today’s show did suck. A little girl can out act Liam, Finn, and Stuffy.

Lastly, Hope looked beautiful today and Stuffy looked like someone should throw her a bone.

"I should name a breakfast waffle after him."  I love Deacon.

I realized while watching today, that there would have been way more drama to this whole thing if it was Hope who had found Liam and now knew about his condition.  Hope and Finn knowing and having conversations about this while Steffy has no idea would create all kinds of drama. Finn talking about the bond between fathers and daughters like he was today would naturally bring Luna to mind, and Hope would actually listen to him talk about how he's feeling about finding out she's his daughter. He could talk about how watching Liam try to literally fight death to be with his daughters is making him question whether he can stay away from Luna. Because he's not going to be allowed to utter even a syllable of those thoughts to Steffy.

Carter, kindly fuck right off.  Is he so smug and stupid that he thinks "see, so you understand now that I was right," is going to get Hope back? She should have told him to leave.

Why are all of Hope's recent scenes in Brooke's house?

That would be amazing.

Where the two women put aside their history to grieve over the man they've both loved (far more than he deserved) and who gave them their daughters. Sisters who are going to be devastated over losing their daddy.

Of course, TPTB would rather have them cat-fighting it out until the apocalypse like their mothers, so I would be shocked if we got anything like this.

So Taylor is basically a jealous cheerleader who knows the star quarterback just sees her as a rebound, and can't handle it, right? Taylor was filled with righteous indignation about being "pushed out of the fashion show", but ignored the small detail that she doesn't *work there*. She doesn't work at all as far as I can tell. And Carter is lapping up all the praise for what Hope has been banished for supporting, further proving she is the scapegoat because Stridge hate her.

Color me surprised that Stuffy was there at the fashion show instead of holding poor Liam’s hand 😉. For the first time in recent memory, Stuffy chose work over the personal.

Also color me surprised that Eric and Ridge had the time to design.  As with Stuffy, work always seemed to be on the back burner.

Sorry to say but I’m very unimpressed with the fashion show.  It seems that the designs are just run of the mill off the rack dresses.

If you think about it, Hope has more of a right to be at the fashion show instead of Taylor.  After all, Brooke is her mother and Hope is a fashionable while Taylor is a dish rag. Even Stuffy knows her place is not in the dressing room.

What 🐂💩. Who has a room that you can get in but cannot get out even if it’s some kind of vault.

I have to say that Daphne has terrible posture. She stands shoulders back and tummy out.

How are they ready to do a full fashion show five minutes after getting the company back?

"We live together. We're building a future!" Beige, honey, you're squatting together at Eric's house. If you were really "building a future," you'd be out there getting your own place together.  But your hobo doesn't bother getting his own place, because he knows he'll just flop back and forth from daddy's house to Brooke's house until the day he dies. You're a placeholder to keep his bed warm until he decides Brooke has suffered enough penance for "betraying" him.

Also, did Beige just grab the sheets off their bed and call it a dress?

I laughed at Beige trying to tell on Brooke to Eric, and Eric not giving a single fuck, as he walks away with Brooke.

Carter spent yesterday begging Hope to take him back. And then today, he's right back at Pepe's side, not doing a single thing to discourage her, even though she's made it clear she's after him.

Steffy's friends with Heidi and Spencer?  That tracks.

That was so very delicious to watch. Suck it, Beige!

I see Eric being raked over the coals elsewhere and cries of "pod-Eric" or some such nonsense and I want to ask, are you new to the show?

Because that is the only explanation for not knowing that Eric has been in Brooke's corner almost always. They were once very much in love and married for several years with two children to show for that relationship. They are still very close friends and he is married to her sister, Donna, whom he adores.

I think back to their moments of reminiscing on the beach in Australia. This picture perfectly encapsulates their 30+ year relationship.

BB30thmoment.png

Was Eric understandably upset about being ousted from the company he built from the ground up? Of course. He was hurt and confused when he initially mistakenly thought Brooke was in on it but as soon as he learned the truth? He was right back to supporting her and championing her relationship with Ridge.

He also wasn't treating her like dirt even when he was in the dark as were Ridge and Steffy.

Their long-standing relationship is one of the few pieces of continuity the show has and I love it. It also warms my heart to think of these Core Two actors who have been on the show since the very first episode.

Beige cannot touch what they have.
