CharlizeCat October 2 Share October 2 (edited) Today, the writers even wrote their own laziness into the dialogue. When Taylor begged Ridge to not tell anybody about her illness, he said, "This is just like it was with Dad." Yep. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Are we sure Will's isn't really Ridge's kid? He sure is a Mama's boy like Ridge was. This is so confusing. I remember young Will idolized his father and was equally obsessed with money. SOARSed Will seems to be the complete opposite. Brooke needs to stop trying to make nice with Steffy. She's starting to come across as annoying and needy. Steffy is not going to give up on the notion that her parents still love each other and belong together. Edited October 2 by CharlizeCat 7 Link to comment

Kids ape their parents until they become teens and can get some better nuance that even good parents aren't perfect. Bill already has a mini-clone in Wyatt, who I know most people like but he's always pretty quick to be in Bill's corner when it suits him. Will might prove to be the best of both worlds with having the backbone Liam lacks and a moral compass that Wyatt has sometimes lacked in the past. 4 Link to comment

But, if you FF, you'll miss how every single model in the history of FC becomes immediately infatuated with Will the second they enter his atmosphere. Steffy should have held out way longer on agreeing to hire Will. His mommy approaches her with the request and admits that he isn't even convinced he wants to be an intern there, and then he comes in and suddenly wants it? I would have been way more hesitant to hire him in her shoes. Also, Jesus, Katie, the second hand embarrassment every single thing you did in that episode caused me... 5 9 Link to comment
Cool Breeze October 3 Share October 3 That scene with Will was the first time Steffy actually acted like someone in a position of power. With Katie's preamble about how Will was unsure about whether he even wanted to be at FC, but Katie wanted him to "interview" anyway? And Steffy, only meeting this kid because Katie asked, looked like "Why the F am I talking to this kid who is barely entertaining the idea of working here?" And then Will stammered some vague, meaningless statement, she just said "Explain." Her terse, clipped, "I'm-the-boss" style of speaking actually fit the situation for once. [Also, Will is nowhere near attractive enough to warrant that kind of attention from FC models. Especially when his parentage is unknown. If the models knew his mother was a Logan and his father is $Bill, ok. But without that? No.] 9 Link to comment

But she had on huge earrings that were about half the size of her tiny head & looked like they were gonna swallow her ears. So distracting, but Greenlee & Fake Ridge are so boring . . . Uh, so why is Katie looking like Elvira? What's with the goth hair & makeup? The dark lipstick & plastered down hair is very Morticia Addams. Is this a Halloween thing? So for months, Katie has been looking straight into the cam & giving us constipated, sour-puss looks at the mere mention of Poopy. And anytime she's anywhere near Bill, she's eye-fucking him. Now that he wants her, she says she doesn't want him anymore. Er, huh? And then she says she might have gotten back with him if their son was a little kid? Er, huh? ASpring1900 October 3 Share October 3 (edited) I've been watching B&B for 15 years, and I can't recall an episode where Katie doesn't cry. Poor Heather Tom must be exhausted. It makes Katie seem unhinged. Imagine having a friend/relative who cries every time you're together... Lindsay Hartley did the same on Passions (and maybe during her short stint on Days, but I can’t remember), then on the AMC reboot, and now she’s doing it when she's subbing in as Sam on GH. It's a lot (though I do love her). Isn't there another soap actress currently who's crying in every episode and has been for awhile? Who am I forgetting? SweePea59 October 3 Share October 3 Okay, since when has Taylor ever been of rational mind, or acted rationally? When she shot $Bill? And how ridiculous was it for Sludge and that ghoulish meerkat to talk about their early days together? In their early days they were played by two very attractive people. Now I don't know which one is more unpleasant to look at. They've turned this show into the Bold and the Ugly. And put a bra on for god's sake. That ghoulish meerkat and Ploopy could have a contest - and they'd both lose. What's next, Sludge in shorts with his nutsack hanging low? Will and the ghoulish meerkat are now in the opening credits. And Ploopy still is, too. Phooey. I don't care if Hope and Carter hook up or not. Boring. Everybody knows it won't last long and when it ends it will bring Carter one step closer to Broken Heart Syndrome. And doesn't Broken Heart Syndrome usually bring about a quick death to the widow/widower? Usually a year or less? That ghoulish meerkat should be in the ground already. I asked my friend Google, who told me, "Many people with broken heart syndrome are fully recovered within a month or so." And, "...likely be prescribed medications used for heart failure, such as ACE inhibitors or beta blockers. For many people, recovery will take a few weeks" So I have to ask again, when has Taylor ever been of rational mind, or acted rationally? 4 1 2 Link to comment

Chatty Cake October 4 Share October 4 You have Broken Heart Syndrome. Unfortunately daughters of women with BHS often develop severe Major Asshole Syndrome or MAS. 11 Link to comment
KerleyQ October 4 Share October 4 (edited) I could not stop laughing at Broken Heart Syndrome. Everything about this Taylor's health crisis story is hilarious. She came home for her big dramatic death surrounded by her loved ones, and it turns out she's just sad. Once their whiny-ass daughter gets a load of this diagnosis, though, she's going to go into Mega Parent Trap mode. I say, let her have him. Let's get back to Brill. Speaking of Brill... I wish Bill would go ahead and get pissed off at Katie for her bullshit. He got into a relationship and was happy, and she could not stand for it. She threw herself into the middle of it, wouldn't stop barging into his home and being a complete bitch to Poppy, and could not rest until that relationship was over. Now that he's single again, and had every reason to think Katie was interested, she's all "eh, maybe if our kid was begging us to be together, but he's not, so, pass." But, of course, like Steffy, Katie doesn't get pushback or consequences. She's on a pedestal, and there's no knocking her off of it. I hope he and Brooke get back together and Katie cries herself to sleep for months over it. "Did I walk in on something?" The correct response is "No, just this bitch who fucked my husband and her own father-in-law daring to imply that I'm some kind of inveterate maneater." Instead, it's "we weren't arguing." Yeah, because Hope refuses to defend herself or her mother with any real teeth. It's always "oh, now, Steffy, I want us to be nice to each other. Could you not do that?" Seriously, Hope, just snatch that cheap wig off her head and cram it in her mouth the next time she starts in on you and your mother. Carter is the "eh, I'd prefer someone else, but he'll do" romantic option for every woman on this show. Edited October 4 by KerleyQ 1 1 4 1 1 Link to comment
nkotb October 4 Share October 4 Forgot to post yesterday, but Steffy is literally the biggest bitch on tv, & she’s held up as this strong heroine who does no wrong. How is Taylor any better than Brooke? I know Brooke has made plenty of parenting mistakes ~ Hope being the biggest, obviously ~ but she’s always been accessible to her kids, unlike Taylor who takes off when she sees Ridge & Brooke play kissy-face. How Steffy can form her mouth to say that Brooke is a horrible person & Taylor is a paragon of virtue absolutely blows my mind. Hope should’ve slapped the taste right outta her over-lined mouth for the way she was disrespecting both Brooke & Hope. Broken-heart syndrome might be the dumbest thing this show has ever aired, & that’s saying a lot. She didn’t get that when she lost her child, but she got it when Ridge chose Brooke for the 842nd time?? Make it make sense. $Bill speaking the truth is always good. RuntheTable October 5 Share October 5 Hi everyone, I am going to do my best to make sense. Unfortunately, I am dealing with a head injury that was caused by BHS. Once Taylor's true malady was revealed I was unable to miss the anvils that began falling in my house. Then, when my addled brain was able to piece together Katie refusing Bill because of Brooke, and Brooke having that meeting with Bill? Oh, that sprinkle of iron turned into a downpour, and I was knocked out. Luckily, Mr. R found me just in time. Hacks. These writers have no subtlety and have no idea how to transition between SL's. NinjaPenguins October 5 Share October 5 I, for one, am positively giddy at the thought of a man being manipulated and pressured into making a commitment to a glass of room temperature hot dog water so she won’t expire. His current lady will be expected to, I believe the term is, “suck it” graciously while King Douchebag and Queen Blah enjoy the least organic, least romantic reunion of the past many years. The Ridge/Taylor relationship is long dead, but I guess someone forgot to raze and salt the earth. It shambles lifelessly about, lurching through Los Angeles in search of intelligence. If the possibilities of that magical love affair weren’t enough to reel me in, there’s the weeks, nay! - months of Steffy smugging it up, trumpeting her parents’ twu wuv hither and yon, until the serfs rise up and storm her office with torches and pitchforks. She will blithely ignore the fact that her mother’s life had to be in danger to facilitate the relationship. Everyone will be gaslighted by Her Nibs into believing any of it is sincere and authentic. Most of all, I am dazzled, absolutely dazzled by Brad Bell’s grasp of what modern adult women want to see on TV. A woman who will literally die without a man just hits the nail on the head. Misusing a real condition to send this empowering message is the icing on the cake. The cake is dark brown, but that ain’t chocolate. Also, Ridge isn’t dead, he’s been with Brooke in Taylor’s presence many times before and if you are so emotionally devastated by one man (who is alive!!!), perhaps therapy is advised. Therapy with someone who isn’t a toxic, needy dishrag like your own self. I feel like the show has hit rock bottom, but I’m sure Bell has excavators on standby to dig underneath this absolute nadir. 8 3 1 Link to comment

I don’t know since I just recently started watching again (Moss was Ridge when I stopped), but if they had been married when Taylor and these idiot writers came up with this moronic illness, annulment isn’t an option. It’s only used in cases of fraud and nonconsummation. I think there are special dispensation when you’re Catholic, but the Church/Pope (?) has to grant it. KerleyQ October 5 Share October 5 Taylor was super bitchy to and about Grace. Damn. She completely dismissed the scientific explanation Grace was giving her so she could rant and rave about how Grace was saying she's imagining all of her symptoms (which is absolutely not what Grace was saying). And, Taylor, you literally passed out from the trauma of witnessing a Bridge kiss. Maybe don't be so quick to dismiss this diagnosis. KKL and DD had more chemistry in that one scene than KKL and TK have had in a year's worth of scenes. When Brooke offered to talk to Katie for him, I was yelling at my TV "say 'no,' Bill!" You know that's exactly what Katie is expecting - for him to grovel and get others to grovel for him, so she can have the ego boost of repeatedly shooting him down. Don't do it, Bill. So, Finn and Hope basically aren't allowed to be in the same room, but Liam, the guy who kissed Steffy multiple times, and who told her & Finn multiple times that he wants her back, is allowed to hang out in Steffy's office for personal chats, including sitting right up close next to her on her desk. Although I'm surprised things got that far, and she didn't kick him out of her office the second he touched on some truths about her sainted mommy. I'm totally going to let them jerk my Brill-loving heart around, while I happily FF the insanely boring Tridge pairing. What a love story for the ages that is going to be. A pity relationship because the woman is so desperate for a man who will never want her most that she's literally going to curl up and die without him. Now she can have him and watch him fume and pine over the woman he actually wants. Their bitchass daughter is going to be so thrilled to see them live blandly ever after. 3 1 4 2 Link to comment

CharlizeCat October 8 Share October 8 (edited) Awww ... Is Carter cooking the books to save HFTF? 😉 Far cry from a few weeks ago when he was complicit in nearly axing the line. I agree. If he wants to get into Hope's pants, then he needs to start defending her to Steffy and Ridge. I don't mind Copter. But it just seems kind of sad. Wasn't it mutual bemoaning "unlucky in love" how he hooked up with Katie? It seems like the executive employees at FC play musical chairs, and this time, Carter and Hope are left standing. I am taking the stance that if Copter is to be, then let it be the real deal. Let them get married and have a family. But according to Spoiler this week's previews, it looks like Liam is going to be sniffing around Hope again. Then, more heartbreak for Carter. Or, Steffy will fire him for sleeping with the enemy. Maybe that will be LSV's exit to the new CBS soap debuting early next year. Carter, Hope, and the rest of us can't have nice things ... CharlizeCat October 11 Share October 11 (edited) Talk about radio silence! 😉 I'll go first 😂 First of all, WTF Liam? Talk about being blindsided. Poor Hope! Poor Carter! I am so glad Hope turned that waffle down. She begged and pleaded with Liam to work things out after she kissed Thomas. But, no, that ego-bruised, butt-hurt sad-sack, was resolute that he would absolutely NOT forgive Hope. IF Hope were to even entertain the thought, she should insist that Liam only meet with Steffy during the day in public places solely in regard to Kelly. No dropping by FC with some toy Liam grabbed on the way out of the house, or stopping off at Steffy and Finn's house. Even better if Finn got on board with the same boundaries. I can't stand Taylor. Is she being intentionally coy or honestly clueless about the origins of her "BHS?" C'mon. Ridge is just lapping it up. He gets it and is loving every minute of it. Next, Brooke is probably going to say something to Ridge about spending too much time with Taylor, which Ridge will choose to interpret as jealous. He will be downright gleeful; rubbing his hands together because once again, he has both women right where he wants them. The next time Steffy waxes on about what a strong, brave, caring, compassionate martyr her sainted mother is, I wish so much we could see a flashback of the "I AM Taylor Hayes" drunken chicken dance! NinjaPenguins October 11 Share October 11 Excuse me, Brooke. Why are you looking to throw a waffle at Hope to distract her from Steffy’s husband? Instead of appeasing that insufferable, parent trapping bully, you should be slapping the taste right out of her mouth for implying you and your daughter are whores and home wreckers. Steffy’s smug, sarcastic asides are long past their sell by date, btw. Good to see the Halloween spirit coming early to B&B with Ridge awkwardly interacting with a zombie. Seriously, Taylor has no personality whatsoever. In fact, she might be an energy vampire that sucks all the life out of scenes. Whether she’s playing dumb about her condition to lure Ridge back or is genuinely that dumb, it’s not a good look or good drama. When Ridge reached over to touch Taylor’s knee from about a light year away, I got douchechills. So awkward, so lacking in chemistry it makes Brooke/Ridge look like a wildfire in comparison. Woof. Liam, GTFO. 5 1 2 Link to comment
CountryGirl October 11 Share October 11 Waffles, go peddle your soggy offerings somewhere else. You're back at Hope's door because for once in the history of ever, Steffy isn't biting on him wanting her back. It's official, folks, Liam has the worst peen in the B&B universe. And the worst timing. Where was all his talk of forgiveness when a remorseful Hope was begging him to reconcile after he saw her kiss Thomas? When he had done far worse after Mannequin night and Hope forgave him? He can also miss me with using what happened with Beth to try to emotionally manipulate Hope into getting back with him since it's less about Hope and more that he cannot be alone and Steffy isn't interested. Hope still knows nothing about the two kisses he planted on Steffy, but something tells me she wouldn't care or be all that surprised. It's what he does. It grates, though, that Finn continues to be in the dark, especially when Steffy reciprocated both times and still uses Liam as her shoulder to cry on. Hope's Face: "You're a day late (months actually) and about a thousand dollars short." I'm so glad she is standing firm here. Going back to him when he hasn't changed one iota other than suddenly saying all the right things, like how she had to "accept a divided heart and divided time." Remember how Liam called Thomas out on saying all the right things? Hypocrite. It was so satisfying to see her acknowledge him but nothing more: “Thank you for saying that. It’s nice to hear that coming from you. But Liam, we’ve moved on.” Their hug of closure was more than Liam deserved. Also, Carter, you've shared one kiss. It's a bit soon to be doing the RUH ROH! look of alarm. The less said about Tridge 3.0 the better. While Ridge, the character, might be loving the attention of two women, per his usual MO, TK, the actor, looks as if he'd like to be anywhere else. But seriously, why, exactly, did they bring Taylor back? These two have anti-chemistry and it's painful to watch and boring, so my FF button is going to get used a lot. Ditto for Steffy slut-shaming Brooke and Hope and parent-trapping. Can't Luna be sprung loose to put that Bitch back in her Box? 1 4 3 1 1 Link to comment
CountryGirl October 11 Share October 11 What in the hell did I just watch? Ridge doing yoga with DMG and knowing the chakras? Riiiight. i thought his poetry nonsense with Katie was bad enough. Brooke peeking through the windows. These are 60-something year olds. Okay, DMG is younger but still. Also, ex-wife or not, Ridge's first loyalty should have been to Brooke. He should have told her - from the beginning - what was going on and if she wasn't comfortable with him helping DMG heal, then that should have been the end of it. Also, should the person who caused BHS be the one to help her heal? Methinks not. One would think a "world renowned psychiatrist" (blech) would get that. It's a pattern with him though cuz yeah, Steffy fucking her FIL isn't great, but at the end of the day she likely would not have if Liam didn't kiss a woman while thinking he was dying--one he was very much trying to play hero to even if they thankfully did not get so far as sex. And while Steffy is so awful that I didn't give a shit at the time, he had absolutely zero self reflection there either. But somehow, when Hope was no longer the perfect woman needing saving, he found it within himself to forgive Steffy to spend the last year and a half chasing her, using the child who he was barely there for throughout the pregnancy (which I'm not unsympathetic to the fact that it was hard given Kelly could've been his half sister) to try to weasel in to come between her and Finn, boohooing that he made a mistake and he was always in love with her! 🙃 I sincerely cannot believe anyone thinks this fool is capable of love any more than Ridge is. I only feel sorry for his daughter's because he's such a spineless jellyfish that their inevitable waffle boyfriend they spend the next thirty years fighting over will laugh in his face and treat him like the joke the way Ridge and Thomas do when he tries to puff his chest up at him. 10 hours ago, CountryGirl said: Hope still knows nothing about the two kisses he planted on Steffy, but something tells me she wouldn't care or be all that surprised. It's what he does While Hope doesn't for sure know anything about that, she already knew the day he came with divorce papers that he'd already run to her and he didn't do much to deny it. But she has not looked his way once since July 2023 and she doesnt seem to want it now. I suspect that won't last long, because Carter can never have nice things, but if Lope has to get back together, let the little puke earn it for once. 10 hours ago, CountryGirl said: But seriously, why, exactly, did they bring Taylor back? Why indeed. I'm beginning to believe those Taylor stans that they really do hate the character bc why write her like this? I mean, even beyond her baseline patheticness that's always been there even in the character's hacyon days? 6 Link to comment
NinjaPenguins October 12 Share October 12 I can’t believe they had a character refer to Taylor as a world-renowned psychologist. The only thing she’s renowned for anymore is being pathetic and desperate. Is there a chakra for chemistry? Ridge and Taylor need a new one installed. Sharna should have handed them both a comb and some shampoo as part of the healing regimen. Lemon bars and Donna at chess club. I appreciate the lighter moments, especially when the main story is the same old raggedy triangle that’s dragged on for decades. Don’t mind Carter and Hope, but I don’t quite understand (from the previews) why they’re being so secretive. I’m pretty sure FC has a pro-inappropriate workplace relationship policy. 6 2 2 Link to comment
Waldo13 October 12 Share October 12 I’ve been on vacation for 2 weeks so I haven’t had a chance to watch. I don’t think too much since in one episode I was able to catch up on plots that move slower than a sloth. Did we have to get a PSA on chakras? I’m not putting this down, it’s just not my cup of tea. 2 1 Link to comment
CharlizeCat October 12 Share October 12 Ridge is such a tool. Seriously! Can't the damned egomaniac understand that the more he indulges in intimate situations with Taylor, touches her, caresses her, stares into her eyes, and commits to her "healing," that he is making her "condition" worse? Well, of course, he can and he's eating it up with a spoon in each hand. You could see Taylor literally deflate before our eyes when it turned out that Ridge's "healing" wasn't going to be a session between the sheets. I got a good laugh out of that. The educational session on chakras was a waste of time and so out of character for Ridge. Right along with pomes, soccer, and raggedy red ribbons of commitment. 6 1 1 Link to comment
KerleyQ October 12 Share October 12 Oh, fuck that beige limp dish rag's chakras. I hope Brooke just tells Taylor she can have him, and leaves his shit packed up at the door for him. And I'm cracking up how the minute Taylor was told she has BHS, she went into full on depressed mode. Hanging around in bulky sweats with hair she hasn't washed or combed in days. And I completely agree that the person who is responsible for her BHS should not be involved in "healing" her unless he's planning on being with her. Of course, the show is trying to slide in that, really, her heart is broken over losing Phoebe, because even they must realize how pathetic it makes Taylor if this is solely about Ridge. But, come on, how long has Phoebe been gone? When was the last time Taylor, or anyone, even mentioned her? Back when Taylor bought Beth for Steffy, and she named her Phoebe? Steffy trying to pretend that her mother is so much more innocent than Hope. "She wouldn't kiss someone else's husband at a family gathering." Are we all pretending that KA's Taylor and her storyline never existed? Although color me shocked that Brooke even dared to utter a word in Steffy's direction about trying (again) to get her mommy and daddy back together. They've had Brooke so up Steffy's ass lately that I'm surprised they let her show any backbone around her. Little Waffle, we're going to need a little more to believe that you're anything other than a lonely waffle who considers Hope his only port in the storm. Maybe start defending her to Steffy some time instead of just sitting there with an indulgent smile on your face when she slut shames Hope and Brooke? Seriously, show, if you want me to remotely buy into Lope again, you need to show Liam forcefully standing up for her against Steffy (and her mommy). Let's see him have some actual conflict with Steffy. The only time he's dared to even step a toe out of line with her was when she was addicted and Hope all but forced Liam to get his daughter out of there until she got treatment. In other Liam news, I was initially cringing through his "wingman" routine with Will, but then realized he was intentionally being a shitty wingman. So, once again, Liam is just far better as a son and brother than he is a romantic lead. If all we ever got of Liam was him with his family, he'd be fine. And, as always, bring back Wyatt. Wyatt and Liam both fucking with Will's "ladies' man" thing would be fun. Again this week, we got Steffy and Finn talking about their love story, and, again, it's all about how much Finn loves her and what Finn does for her. And the requisite line of Finn flogging himself for having confused feelings about his birth mother. With talking about how amazing their love is being all these two do lately, it would seem like they're either splitting soon or one of them is going to die soon. With all the relationship rehashing going on this week, we have to be moving to some relationships being shaken up, right? Brooke talking about how she knew Ridge was the one for her the first time she laid eyes on him. Steffy and Finn again talking about how amazing he thinks she is. Liam and Hope talking about their past. Ridge and Taylor talking about their past. Was it just "we're out of material, so let's rehash shit" week, or are they actually leading to mixing some things up? I do see the chemistry between Carter and Hope, enough that I'm willing to overlook the fact that it's like the writers woke up one day and decided they were a thing with zero buildup. But, if I was Carter's friend, I'd tell him to run away. Even with Hope being clear right now that she has moved on from Liam, all of Carter's relationships are messy with some other man being somehow in the picture. As much as Hope and Steffy can talk about wanting someone who wants only them, Carter can also tell that tale. With Hope, he's got three other guys potentially in the picture in some capacity - Finn, Liam, and Thomas. Her breakup with Thomas wasn't very long ago. Her crush on Finn was days ago (and she says she realizes nothing can happen there, but she certainly isn't actually over him), and Liam is right there now saying he wants her back. That should all be way too much mess for a guy with Carter's romantic history who, you'd hope, doesn't want to keep making the same mistakes. 7 3 1 Link to comment
