Preaching to Deacon about Shiela is the classic example of do what I say, not as what I do.  Keep reiterating the point about Shiela but it also sound like Hope could be talking about Lurch.

Li calls out Shiela, for good reasons, but Li is bitter shrew.  It seems that Li has been a bitter shrew most of her life.

For me, Lurch is more hideous than Shiela but Hope just has to run to Lurch to “Fuck The Pain Away” 🤢🤢🤢🤮.  I’m so sick and tired of Lurch telling Hope he loves her and Hope telling Lurch she doesn’t know how she feels. Lurch doesn’t give 💩💩 about what Hope feels in her  heart, he only gives a 💩about how he feels inside Hope.  He’s Lurch on the spot to take advantage of Hope’s insecurities.

Lurch gets elevated to the best thing since slice bread, Liam becomes more of a sniveling idiot, Hope is more clueless than ever, Li becomes a vindictive shrew, and Wyatt becomes persona non grata.  WTF?

I don't mind anyone ripping Liam for the asshole he's being, but Thomas, of all people, talking to him about going after a married woman is a bit rich.

You know I love me some Thomas but even I was rolling my eyes at that one.

Boundaries:

A limit of a subject or sphere of activity

Someone needs to educate Liam on this.

The absolute nerve of that punk ass little bitch. What was he yammering about that Sheila being with Deacon makes things worse and puts Steffy in more danger? Ummm........seems to me that since Deacon is Hope's dad, it would logically put Hope in more danger. But Liam is so desperate to spin it his way, that he will use anything to make Finn look bad. Andplusalso, what exactly is Finn supposed to do to break them up? How is he supposed to handle two consenting adults love lives? And how is he supposed to get rid of Sheila outside of killing her? She is a free woman, she can live wherever she wants, and she can fuck whoever she wants. She is not breaking any laws living in LA or with Deacon. I also don't understand the importance of Steffy knowing about Sheila's new arrangements. It doesn't effect her in any way, as she has very little interaction with Deacon. Liam was careful though, to make it look like Finn was "withholding" evidence in order to protect his birth mother. I hope Finn jacks his ass up good and proper.

Why doesn't Finn just deck that little scumbag into the next county?

Well, a possibility is that if Liam starts messing with Sheila, she'll go after him. Get rid of Liam and then go to prison for life with no chance of parole. Two birds and all that.

Hope really needs therapy (not with WRP) even more now considering this mess with Deacon. Her issues with Brooke's past and Liam's waffling have done a number on her head (and other parts.)

I really fear the show is trying to "redeem" Sheila. They started with Li being a complete bitch to her niece, since just going right to her being a bitch to Sheila wouldn't really ding Li's character. I mean, who can blame her for forever hating Sheila if that is the only person she's ever mean to? So, they start with the Luna story, to establish Li as an overbearing bitch. Then they move to her being so mean to poor widdle Sheila, who is just trying to work and is being so understanding of how bitchy Li is being to her. Why, she even brought her a free meal, and there's Li breaking a glass and shoving her face into a plate of pasta. I'm surprised they didn't bring in a truckload of extras to load the restaurant to capacity and have them all look on with horror at Li's behavior.

Sheila is a crazy psychopath killer, she just ran Li off a bridge to car exploding and smiles after, shot Steffy in cold blood, then tried a couple times to finish the job, stalking Finn, she shot up the Forrester house shooting Brooke and Taylor, kidnapped Brooke one time too. And so much more, Thomas has done bad deeds but he's not comparable to her.

Thomas is only half Sheila's age. give him a chance to catch up. I'm sure that by the time he's as old as she is now, he will have surpassed her.

Does Sheila know that Liam wants Finn's wife? Even with that wife being Stuffy, this might displease Sheila greatly.

I imagine I could tolerate scumbag Liam more if I felt that this was intentional on Bell's part, but we've been here so many times with this guy that I know it's not. And unlike Ridge, who has actually did have to work hard to win Brooke back in the 2000s after that marriage to Taylor (albeit with the writers putting a thumb on the scale on Nick's personality), Liam's had not one genuine moment of realizing how his behavior affects people. At all. At *most* he had one very quick moment of acknowledging his flake behavior may have contributed to why Hope got a jump on pushing him away after Beth "died" but introspection? Never heard of it.

So, Eric is dying of announced-during-commercial disease? I’m not in the medical field, but I’m interested in what kills people, but starts as quasi-dementia, turns to hand tremors, & later becomes coughing blood (every single day that I watch this show over lunch, & I can handle gore, but I’m grossed-out by the constant showing of his blood-covered hankie).

Literally just had the thought that maybe Luna’s oft mentioned father is going to find a cure for Eric, thus ingratiating him & his daughter, into the Forrester fold. My cable was jacked up the day Li told the Luna history, does Luna’s bio dad know about her existence?

Stuffy is backpacking in the Alps?  WTF?  I guess that’s more important than being with the kids.

Katie is such a fucking buttinsky. She first walks into Eric’s like she owns the place than she ease drops on a private conversation. Then right and there she insists on Donna must tell Ridge.  Doesn’t anyone think that if Ridge finds out and starts arguing with Eric, it would but a hell of a lot more strain on Eric?

By the way, are the monkeys with a keyboard afraid to have the doctor say what condition Eric has other than he’s dying?  Extensive testing would be done in a hospital and not by a concierge doctor.

Eric is probably having an allergic reaction to all the honey Donna has been pouring into and onto him.

Or maybe there's arsenic in all that Parisian lace he is constantly fretting over.

So no one has pulled Deacon aside to ask if he is trying to perfect $Bill's original dumbass plan? Weren't they all in Bill's living room just a few weeks ago asking and saying THE SAME THINGS? How has RIDGE not tried to connect the dots?

I see Liam is back on his sanctimonious tour.  Whenever he shows up with a kids toy in hand, we all know it's going to be infuriating. I'm gonna miss Wyatt and DB.

All that Li revealed was that she had arranged for her sister to get a job in the hospital gift shop and her sister had an affair with the chief of surgery.  His wife found out about the affair and he blamed Li.  Li then had to leave her job and go to another hospital.  I'm not even sure that the chief of surgery is Luna's father.  The whole story was pretty vague.

This show did kill Stephanie. So I'm not exactly expecting a cure for Eric. I'm actually wondering if Susan Flannery is going to make a guest ghost appearance to escort Eric to the other side.

I was bewildered when they came back from commercial and Eric and Donna had been given the bad news off screen by the concierge doctor.

Doctor Li brought Fibberty Jibberty back from the dead. Doctor Fibbertty Jibberty cured Stuffy's ten minute, 2 pills a day, drug addiction. Eric's own doctor daughter can google a cure for anything. And nurse Sheila would move heaven and earth if she thought it would help her achieve her goals. Maybe Donna should send them a group text.

When I was a kid and someone was dying on a soap from a mysterious disease, my mom always told me it was "Soap Opera Disease", so I am holding with that as Eric's official diagnosis.

It had to be Katie to find out first. It is only a matter of time before she spills to Carter, who will then spill to Ridge, and on and on.

Ridge and Brooke appear to be on to Liam. Good.

Not to forget Stephanie kept fake Angela alive for years, and she also brought Felicia back from the dead. However, looping her into a group test would prove challenging.

I'm glad Donna has someone to talk to about it and that Katie is now team Eric. I got confused today when RJ told Sludge and Brooke that yes, there was something else going on with Eric. And then that was it, nothing more. They just left it at that? I thought RJ was going to spill the beans. Glad he didn't. If he had then Sludge might do some crummy designs intentionally out of pity. I want Eric to win fair and square. And if Eric doesn't win I will never forgive this show.

Did I hear Ridge correctly when he said we own the company?  Since when did Eric give FC to Ridge?  Didn’t he only give him and Stuffy the ability to run the company?  Yes, it’s all about Ridge and his ego. This didn’t become a competition until Ridge made it one.

Eric if I were you, I would get a second opinion. Katie didn’t take the doctor’s opinion about having a baby.  My wife was in a support group, of 12, for people suffering from terminal cancer all with a death sentence of weeks to six months.  My wife lived an additional 4 years and not one died within 2 years. 4 lived an additional 10 years.  Non of them sat around to die just like they want Eric to do.  Let me share what was important to my wife and her group.

It’s my life

It’s now or never

But I ain’t going to live forever

I just want to live while I’m alive

New guess.. Luna is Eric's kooky brother's kid. The guy played by Fred Willard, I think Ivy's Dad. I can't remember if they said what he did or used to do. I'm grasping at straws.

Yet again, a medical condition is handled idiotically. Did he and Donna ever get married?

Kinda reminds me of the story about the set of Star Trek Voyager, where Kate Mulgrew took out her frustrations of the shit male producers creating the Seven of Nine character out on poor Jeri Ryan. She's long since apologized for her behavior, but this sort of "crabs in the bucket" type thinking is far too common in the real world.

That said, you'd think if Li couldn't blame the shit as doctor who couldn't keep it in his pants, that she'd know a child who didn't ask to be here on this dumb planet is the last person to be blamed for any of this. You may as well blame Hope for being a stain on the family, and we know absolutely no one ever would say such a thing.

Yeah. Looking back at the Caroline I exit story on YT, they never actually named *what* she was dying of until they wrote in her twin sister and then labeled it leukemia.

B&B was real fond of giving characters cancer to write them out of the show in the old days.

Ridge is right, Eric doesn't own the company. He helped found with Stephanie and her father's money, but he lost the company more than once. Stephanie kicked him out once  and she gave him shares back because he had nothing. Which makes his grand showboating about his company and his office a joke.

If I remember the numbers right. When Eric bankrupted the company the most recent time and Bill took it over, Steffy got it back with equal shares going to Eric, Ridge, Taylor and Stephanie.

Taylor gave hers to Steffy.  Bill gave his to Steffy. She and Eric are equal.

Stephanie died and her shares went to Eric and Ridge gave 5 of his to Thomas.

Steffy and Ridge are majority shareholders. Throw in Thomas 5 too. Eric has no say if Ridge and Steffy disagree with him.

"I think my dad should know."  Well, don't worry, RJ, because Aunt Katie knows now, so the entire state of California should know by the end of the week.

Am I remembering wrong? Didn't Eric originally tell Ridge that he wanted to design one last line and ask him to work together on it? And Ridge all but shooed him out of the office? I roll my eyes every time Ridge acts like this is something Eric is doing to him, and he doesn't get why his father is insisting on this competition instead of working together. Ridge acting like this is something Eric is doing to him out of the blue, and his thirst to bury his father in this competition is really off-putting.

I wasn’t a huge fan of Liam’s in the past but that message he left for Steffy made me want to stab him in the heart. Royal Asshole.

Yes, he's a complete douchebag.  What a dick for showing up to Finn's place of work (I think) to confront him about a personal matter, then just hangs out in the office after Finn walks out.  Then calls Steffy and leaves that message.  If there's an award for Supreme Dick of the Year, he's already won.

When his assholishness makes me root for SHEILA to kill him, that's saying a lot.  I've never liked Liam, I've never liked beady eyed Scott Clifton.  But I've never hated this character as much as I did watching him leaving that entitled assholish message.

Not sure what is going on with Eric, not sure if John McCook is trying to retire, if so, maybe they will kill off the character.  But it's taking too long to get there, just tell us what is going on.  He's not a central character on the show anymore so the "I've got a secret" game is tiring.

I hate that the show is turning Li into a complete beeyotch.  For a show set in Southern California, an area with a sizeable Asian-American population, this show has hardly had any Asian characters.  They finally bring one on again, she was a very minor character, then they "killed" her.  Then they brought her back and now she's getting a bigger role.  But they have to go and turn her into a beeyotch.  Disappointing.

Eric wanted to do his last line and didn't want to add the designs to Ridges line.

Ridge is CEO and Carter COO both said they with budget, production they can't output 2 lines.  That's why the dumb contest to see who wins.  Ridge told him to wait and they can do it later, Ridge doesn't know there's possibility of no later. He's thinking of the company and Eric thinking of himself.

It's no wonder Eric lost and bankrupt company half a dozen times.

I thought initially, before the competition idea came about, he was in the office, seemingly feeling nostalgic, and asked Ridge about working together on a line. Ridge was really dismissive, encouraging him to just spend more time with Donna and more time at the club playing pickleball, and that was what led to Eric deciding he wanted to do his own line and compete. After that, they kind of dropped it a bit, in favor of focusing on Thomas/Hope/Liam/Steffy/Finn. But then they picked it back up with the competition and showed RJ helping Eric, and it was like everyone involved forgot all about those initial Ridge/Eric scenes in the office.

As an aside, the glimpses we've gotten of Eric's designs so far are probably the only designs I've liked on this show in who knows how long. Unless he's really upped his game this time, or RJ is somehow making his designs better than his vision, I'm failing to see how buyers prefer Thomas's designs to when Eric and Zende were designing for HFTF.  I typically cringe at most of Thomas's designs that everyone at FC ends up heaping praise on.

Caroline I's illness was named in real time, long before Karen arrived.  I don't believe they got specific as to the type of cancer but it certainly was cancer as, before she became a World Renowned Psychiatrist, Taylor was introduced as  Caroline's oncologist.

I'm sorry, but why have we been getting so many random filler scenes with Charlie lately? The character annoys me to no end. Maybe he will run off with Esther to Genoa City and it will be the last we see of him. Free up money to bring in some new, more relevant characters.

Is there a different actress playing Lauren? (I don't watch Y&R)? The only thing I seemed to recognize was her voice. If it's the same one, then what has she done to her face? Not saying she looks bad, just very different. Hopefully, it was intentional. I thought she was very pretty as she was.

Yes, same actress. Not sure why she's still on.  I'm sure Mrs. C left her well taken care of, but she has had a couple of jobs. Receptionist at Chancellor-Winters, and currently manager of Crimson Lights.  She's so versatile!

There was absolutely no real need for Lauren to show up and even less need for Esther to show up.  There's really no room for them over at Y&R, both are extraneous.  So maybe they decided to throw these long-time vets a bone and let them guest appear on the sister show?

Esther is truly a joke, when Jeanne Cooper and Katherine died, they should have retired the character. I am flabbergasted as to why she has been on the show for all these years, the character has always been useless.  I was surprised to learn that the actress is only the third person (Jeanne Cooper and Susan Lucci) to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame solely for being on a soap opera.  She has a star on the Walk of Fame.  Amazing.

I think the only reason she is still around is because her daughter Chloe is back in town.  The show has fired/retired longtime vets before, a prime example is Doug Davidson / Paul Williams who you would think could be back now that his daughter Heather is back in town.  And he had a much more significant role on the show that Esther ever has.

Sorry, sorry to derail this with Y&R talk, but the very first scene I ever saw of Y&R involved Paul and his partner (can't recall the character's name but the actor is the real life son of former President Gerald Ford) talking in their private investigator office and then the partner's girlfriend Diane stops by.

I have NO idea why this has stayed with me so many decades later...

I guess I've been off and on with this show.  What happened to Pam and her lemon bars?  Pam was only on because she was Stephanie's sister and fought with Donna.  Charlie was only on because of Pam.  Without Pam, there's completely no need for Charlie.  The character is a joke, and that's a great comparison, if they really are uniting the two jokes on the show, let them find each other and retire to South America.

That's EXACTLY what Show is doing. As I've said before, this show does not do subtle, nuanced storytelling at all. Character development is nonexistent; everyone gets thrown into the blender in order to serve whatever story the "writers" have decided to tell this week.

This is actually a new direction for Liam. He's been a waffling, indecisive, and thoughtless for years, but this latest stunt he's pulled (leaving that message for Steffy very intentionally throwing Finn under the bus) was new. Liam has never (at least as far as I can recall) done anything so intentionally underhanded and manipulative.

Actually, I think Sheila would be very pleased. In Sheila's mind, Steffy is the only thing keeping Finn from developing a relationship with her, so anything that gets Steffy out of Finn's life would be welcome. Especially if Sheila doesn't get the blame.

That's how you know this story was made up on the fly. Li was brought onto the show as Finn's beautiful, kind mother. Now she's been turned into the Dragon Lady, completely out of left field, and with a story that makes no sense.

I'm sorry, but why have we been getting so many random filler scenes with Charlie lately? The character annoys me to no end. Maybe he will run off with Esther to Genoa City and it will be the last we see of him. Free up money to bring in some new, more relevant characters.

Charlie is the Village Idiot of B&B, and after hooking him up with Daffy Pam, I was more than happy at the thought of them marrying and riding off into the sunset forever. Instead, I guess the marriage is in some kind of trouble (that weird phone call), and now he's having weird connection vibes with Esther, the visiting Village Idiot of Genoa City? Why?

There was absolutely no real need for Lauren to show up and even less need for Esther to show up.  There's really no room for them over at Y&R, both are extraneous.  So maybe they decided to throw these long-time vets a bone and let them guest appear on the sister show?

Actually, Lauren and various Forresters have done several crossovers between the two shows over the years.  She's in fashion retail, they're a major fashion house. it makes perfect sense for her to be here; Esther, not so much.

How did everyone find Eric’s speech today? I’m just curious because I liked it but I didn’t love it. Story still is more of a miss than hit with me

Loved the flashbacks.
Still don’t understand this budget situation??

Found Thomas and Hope very very cute and fun at the end there. Loved that blue dress on her.  However do they work anymore or just make out 😂  I guess they have no budget so nothing to do..

Also really liked that green dress of Ridges.

If those two dresses we’ve already seen by Eric and the one dress designed by Ridge is any indication of the rest of their line, Eric should win by a mile.  As a designer, Eric #1, Ridge #2 and Lurch can pound sand. If HFTF is doing so fantastically, then why are they worried about their budget 🤔

For you that also watch Y&R, you will know where I’m coming from. Why in the world would Esther need a CF gown?  Where is she going other than being a part time receptionist and a barista at a coffeehouse.

Was I the only one hoping that Esther and Lauren would walk in on Thope making out?

Since Lauren is in L.A., can't she get Sheila convicted of crimes of the past? Kidnapping or something? I still can't figure out what "work" Lauren has done. It's something about her jawline ...

Lauren is there and no mention of Sheila?

Hope and Thomas are still the best thing this show has going for it.

The fact they are worried about budget so much is why they should not be allowing Eric to do this.  He bankrupted the company and lost it more than once.

While the flashbacks were good. Eric's dying and it's poor Donna, newbie RJ bad crying, and Katie?  What's next Brooke at his bedside?

Where's his real family in this story?

Lauren dated Ridge and Eric in the 1990s.  (The relationships didn't overlap; I believe she was briefly involved with James Warwick in between.)
