onthebrink03 November 1, 2015 Share November 1, 2015 Why is Robin's Williams widow going on the show? Surely, she's not going to talk about Robin's death? Or maybe she'll talk about how she locked the family into a legal battle trying to deny his children personal mementos from their beloved father that were rightfully theirs. I can't imagine THIS is going to go well. 4 Link to comment

Celia Rubenstein November 1, 2015 Share November 1, 2015 Bob Saget is ridiculously, needlessly filthy when he does stand up and in interviews that I have seen. Will tune in for that but imagine the interview will be a hot mess. She's kind of a loudmouth so maybe she will get a couple of words in edgewise. 3 Link to comment
ChicagoCita November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 20/20 did a full hour this past week with Leah Remini on her Scientology experiences. It was pretty interesting -- and true to form, the morning the interview was to be filmed, a group from the church showed up at the network's HQ with letters and documents saying what a terrible person she was and saying what she said were lies. Which I found interesting since she hadn't filmed the interview yet. I have to wonder if they'll show up at The View, knowing she's on live. It will be amusing to see the panel do their legal disclaimers about whatever Leah says. Looks like a good week for once! If nothing else, there will be NO cross-talk while Barbara is there. She did try to keep a lid on it when she was at the table, with varying results. 5 Link to comment
Cosmocrush November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 (edited) Mon Nov 2/15 S19, E40 Journalist Barbara Walters (``Barbara Walters Presents American Scandals'') Hahahaha! I wonder if any of the morons at the table will ask her about her good friend, Bashar al-Assad? In my dreams, I know. I'm sure she (and ABC News) would like to forget that entire fiasco. I would gladly tune in to see Bob Saget's nasty self IF he was sitting next to CCB, lol. 20/20 did a pretty good interview with Leah Remini on Friday and Nightline re-covered it an hour later. But yes, I am expecting a mess with her trying to talk to this gang with their five blue cards in six minutes. I cracked up at Joy's good friend Susie Essman showing up to pimp Joy's new show and being the entire guest list for a show. Robin Willilams's widow, third wife married less than three years, doing a press tour? Here is a clip of an ABC News (news? really?) "exclusive interview describing finding his body. I don't see the point of it - there isn't any way this could reflect well on her, in my opinion. Especially after the public spectacle of fighting his children for clothing and personal items by taking them to court. Pass. Edited November 2, 2015 by Cosmocrush 7 Link to comment
CheezyXpressed November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 Is Barbara going to be there all day, or only for the guest spot? Either way, I'm probably going to pass on Monday since The Real has Rachel Dolezal on the show then. I'll be there for Tuesday though. Link to comment
TheGreenKnight November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 Yeah, not really a fan of Saget, but Remini will be harder for me to take. Thankfully she'll be talking about the scientology mess, because that's the only thing I might be interested in hearing her scream and yell about. Barbara doesn't bother me in small doses. Hopefully she'll side-eye Raven and Whoopi--especially since she has no reason to be nice to Whoopi anymore. Link to comment

TheGreenKnight November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 Fiorina is just riding this controversy to more attention, but it won't make anything happen in the end. When she was talking about a conservative woman being the liberal media's greatest fear (paraphrasing), all I could think is that women period are conservatives' greatest fear and that's why her party won't be voting for her. Did anyone hear Whoopi when Paula was talking about how she fell asleep? "Wah, wah, wah, boo, hoo, hoo!" Such a bitch. She can't even say The View tagline when Barbara Walters is there. Just pay her off, ABC! 12 Link to comment
rcc November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 I wonder if BW had a little talk with Whoopi about her attitude. Or is she completely out of the loop because she supposedly sold her rights to the show to ABC. Whoopi was such a bitch about the Royals winning since she knew Paula is a fan and making fun of her being tired. It just keeps getting worse. Paula probably is biding her time when Whoopi's contract runs out. When that happens and Joy is the moderator it will be a big improvement. 10 Link to comment

And, please, it's all about context, just like the nurses thing. Michelle's comment about Carly looking demented was because of that slow, weird smile Carly gave after she said people complained about her not smiling enough during the previous debate. Kenz November 2, 2015 Share November 2, 2015 (edited) I'll be looking forward to Fiorina's appearance on Friday. While Michelle's remark was not worded the most diplomatically, the smile Fiorina gave during the debate was meant to be exaggerated and rather funny, so I think it was fair game. Fiorina herself mocked Barbara Boxer's hairdo back in the senate campaign while she was on an open mike. Why are these Republican candidates so thinned skinned? Oh yeah, to get attention, anyway that they can. I hope Joy is prepared to joust well with steam rolling, tough talking Carly, who is full of blatant lies. Celia Rubenstein November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 Carly Fiorina needs to can it. And so does CNN's Brooke Baldwin. The View didn't start the discussion about Fiorina's looks ... Donald Trump did. And the panel took him to task for it. Michael Smerconish from CNN is the one who said Fiorina needed to smile more, not anyone on The View. And Fiorina herself is the one who brought up the smile issue at the debate and milked it for applause, grinning for the audience and cameras. And that one act was what I believe Michelle Collins was referring to, not Fiorina's face in general. It is disingenuous of Fiorina to now claim this is all evidence of how the liberal media is determined to tear apart a conservative woman. I agree with others here who have posted that she is just latching onto this situation and exploiting it for purposes of gaining attention and sympathy and to distract from her failures as a business woman. But she is slipping in the polls, so she's got to make a grab at some straw to stay relevant, I suppose. Thanks goodness it doesn't look like too many people are falling for it. I think most people who watch The View know that every day on this show women who are liberal, conservative, old, young, gay, straight, rich, poor and on and on have their behavior scrutinized, critiqued, and joked about. Just because someone made a wisecrack at Carly's expense doesn't mean there is a secret hidden liberal agenda designed to destroy conservative women any more than it means there is a secret hidden agenda to destroy liberal women when someone on the panel makes a joke about Hilary Clinton. Which happens all the time. But who I am really disappointed in Brooke Baldwin .... I do not appreciate her attempt to twist this into a discussion of how awful women are to one another. The women of The View were not attacking Fiorina for her looks or appearance or her body or her hair. That is a silly, trumped up complaint, and Baldwin's self-righteous indignation is nothing more than at attempt to hop on board the currently popular bandwagon issue of "mean girls" and exploit it so she and a couple of other people on TV something to be outraged about. Yawn. And while I am up on my soapbox telling people to shut up, Elizabeth Hasselbeck needs to zip it, too. She called the show "faux feminist" because this Fiorina thing is another! example! of how The View panelists supposedly only support (liberal) women who feel exactly the way they do about the issues and attack (conservative) women who disagree. They don't support everybody! Let me tell you something, Hasselbeck .... you got serious nerve lecturing anybody about being "supportive." Because if you are talking about the kind of support you showed Rosie O'Donnell when the two of you disagreed about issues on The View, you can take your support and SHOVE IT! http://jezebel.com/the-best-of-the-worst-of-elisabeth-hasselbecks-10-year-734486569 A little split-screen flash from the past, good times! 15 Link to comment

Raven chimed in "facebook likes," as if Whoopi was literally asking what the guy's money was going to be spent on. hahaha Of course, Whoopi meant what was the guy buying in reference to what that billionaire was expecting to receive in return for his financial support (such as favors from Rubio). Duuuhhhh. .... what a little Millennial bubble head Raven is, damn. Facebook likes? She thinks that might be a serious part of a candidate's strategy? Obtaining Facebook likes? For realz? KLovestoShop November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 People HAVE made fun of Hillary's appearance since she was First Lady, so this stuff with Fiorina isn't new. Hell, people made fun of Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush. I remember people making fun of Hillary's hairstyles and her clothing choices, not to mention the whole "stand by your man" stuff when Bill was diddling. But let's be real here----Fiorina does look strange with what's obviously been far too much Botox. She does look frozen, but I do think the "demonic" comment was too much. And for Whoopie to make the statement that Fiorina needs to know what a compliment is, was way beyond stupid. Who here thinks that being told you have a demonic face is a compliment? Interesting that Fiorina is going to appear on Friday's show when Whoopie isn't there. Who's going to have the balls to call Fiorina demonic while she's sitting there? God, Raven really is dumb and should use her View money to go back to school. She can't even read off a card in front of her. Just now she was reading a tweet and couldn't get through it without screwing it up. While the Tweet itself was awful, Raven couldn't tell the difference between P.C. And the word pic. She's pathetically dumb, and I can't see why the powers that be can't see this. OMG, ARE YOU KIDDING ME? There's also the Fox connection...Fox & Friends has been pouring gasoline onto the fire from the beginning and basically has goaded CF to fight back. Does anyone know? Did the East Coast get the live version? The interview was obviously filmed today (everyone has the same clothes) but they pulled Sherri and put in Joy. Also, Whoopi was able to speed read the written statement from Scientology flawlessly. Since this show rarely edits for quality (see Whoopi's, "I HAVE TO PEE" exit from the stage last Friday) I'm wondering if it was a schedule situation or they just messed it up so bad they had to do it over?? Isn't it weird Joy would be there for Leah but not Gloria? Paula is a very good interviewer IMO. The others asked questions but Paula was the lead. She does have about six years as sports reporter - which of course is less time than Whoopi's been at this table every day. I think Paula might be a good moderator too - she has experience as a news anchor. I've never see GMA Weekend but I kind of want to tune in sometime just to see how she does as a lead. The thing about Leah writing derogatory things about herself and her family was covered much better on her longer 20/20 interview but it's was basically a tongue in cheek pre-emption of everything Leah expected the Church to say about her (and they have) and her family once they left. After watching Going Clear it's not hard to believe. I give Leah credit for being able to explain as much as she did in the few minutes she had - I just wish whomever wrote the blue cards wouldn't have repeated the same questions as 20/20 and asked something different. Or you know, do some good work. Edited November 3, 2015 by Cosmocrush 8 Link to comment
Bronzedog November 3, 2015 Share November 3, 2015 The 20/20 Leah Remini interview was pretty interesting, but, Leah always backs down when the subject of Tom Cruise comes up. I may have missed posting yesterday, so, allow me to say, Raven's still an idiot.
