All because of a one hour time change. Yeah ok.

And didnt't it start on March 13th? Almost 7 weeks ago? SMH.

Here DST always starts on the last Sunday in March, and I begin work at 6am. So the first 3 days getting up early was not sooo easy, but you can get used to it very quickly, if you don't decide on harping how hard it is.... And I thought with Plexus it's a piece of cake??

WTF is that?  Baby chickens?

I don't get it.

Lots of people have chickens. Even on Long Island in my neighbourhood I can hear chickens clucking away and a rooster nearby.

Beats going to the grocery store for eggs (where you don’t know how the hens laying the eggs have been treated or what they have been fed).

Wait - so you're telling me that if I order Plexus, I can complete my yard work with one hand?  Well then sign me up!  Those weeds aren't going to pull themselves, right?  Hahaha!

Seriously, this might be one of the stupidest Plexus ads I have ever seen.  Maddie is standing in front of the world's smallest pile of sticks, and I guess we are to assume that Plexus gave her all that energy?  To clear an eighth of a square foot from her yard?

Also, I just cannot with that pink cylinder.  They HAVE to know how strange that looks.

If Maddie's worried about what they feed the chickens, then she should also worry about what is in the Plexus that makes it that awful, unnatural pink color.

And again we never see them drink the Plexus. We only see them holding the container. They may never drink the Plexus at all.

2 special needs kids, 2 other children she babysits during the week, 2 pups and now lets add chickens into the mix 🙄

Meanwhile she's bitching about having no energy, can't sleep and feeling like crap

Hopefully those chicks will be well protected from those pups.  Chickens are just like living dog toys, and dogs can't help themselves...however Labradors are retrievers and its in their biology to capture and chase.

I agree 100%. Why take on more responsibility when she complains already? Jeez.

Think for more complaining content to post on social media…and to get more followers and customers?

This.  Plus a need to stand out in a field of 17 siblings.  There will always be the most physically attractive one, the best athlete, the most intelligent one, the kindest, compassionate one...by default, Maddie may be seeking the most accomplished one.  Still searching for recognition from a father that really doesn't care.

But… she IS Kody’s favourite, most accomplished, hardest working, most succesful, kindest, most intelligent child! The firs to get married, the first to give him a grand child and she picked the very best son/daughter in law! Kody loves❤️Caleb, remember? Oh and she named a child after daddy-dearest too.

Surely, no brother or sister can top this?😉

I don’t understand why very busy people with a lot on their plates, get multiple living things to care for.  Plus, they must be supervised around other animals and children.  I’ve seen precaution signs by most all baby chicks and rabbits that say, do not get these as a novelty.  It’s a commitment.  It just strikes me as very immature.

THIS!  and I think it says it all that Maddie describes it as nothing more than "we did a thing" like it's nothing.... no you didn't "DO A THING"

YOU brought home living breathing small creatures that deserve to be cared for properly and protected from rambunctious children and 2 dogs.... we have friends with chickens and they're a full time job, they aren't something you just toss some food at and gather the eggs... I can barely stand to think about it because it makes me angry.

HOPEFULLY they'll care for the chicks properly 🙄

If they live in Greenville city limits, the ordinance I found seems to limit chickens to 4, unless you have an unusually large lot.

According to the listing of their house, they live in the suburbs.

Hmmm….from what I found, that development has restrictive covenants that forbids poultry, among other things on the properties.  So, I’ll bet they’ll get word about it.  Or maybe not. If no one complains, it’ll run its course.

That's the reason I commented, WTF?  I'm not against having chickens,  but they deserve  to be cared for, as you said.  Maddie has her plate plenty full as it was, IMO.

The problem with this group is that they all tend to jump in first and do the research later.  Case in point, the Poop Pond property.  Did anyone look into the expense involved in adding the necessary utilities needed to build or did they just whoop it up on what a great deal they made on this "incredible" land?

I bet a trip to Tractor Supply led to a "Oh, look, chicks.  Let's buy some".  No looking into their care, housing, etc.  You can't just let them roam your property and ignore them especially when you own retrievers.

And I bet dollars to donuts the first time they have to shovel out the chicken poop there will be a change of heart.  Chicken manure is not pleasant and if the coop is not routinely cleaned, the whole think stinks.

True.  I’m not sure what causes this with some people. I love pets, but it’s a lot to consider.   I knew some family friends who had a baby and no apartment (staying with various family members) and they went and bought a puppy. Said they’d keep it in their car!  I know…..crazy.  And, I knew a lady once who commuted by bus to work everyday.  She saved her pennies for a car down payment, then suddenly announced she bought a puppy instead!  It was bored, damaged her apt and had to get rid of it per apt rules!  I know!  I guess what I’ve seen makes it a pet peeve of mine.

I thought you were gonna mention their habit of moving out  and relocating a large group of people (mostly) kids across states without sorting out a new place to live first!

That to me, was the worst tin terms of acting first and thinking second. And they did it not once, but twice! To be fair they did a teeny tiny bit of research before they moved to Flag. But they had no clue where to live with the entire bunch!

I suspect they did it more than twice.  Janelle said they had moved ~30 times during their marriage, that is about once a year.  Their time in Vegas was probably the most stable of the fambly's lives.

Oh that wouldn't surprise me. If you read their book, you come across numerous places and houses. I feel sorry for the kids. I'm sure all of the older kids had thoughts like "How long will we be here this time round?" Also, all the moves happened for no obvious reasons with little notice to move....

Maddie did her own bit of house-hopping before she and Caleb settled down in North (?) Carolina. I really hope she'll manage to build a good and solid life there where her kids can grow up.

And the normal passive-aggressive Maddie comment.  Couldn't she just have said that "She's obsessed with doing my hair and I love that special time with her"?  Seems like she always makes a snotty remark about her kids no matter what they are doing.

I cant think of the word to describe it, but as well as the semi-snotty remarks, there is always an "eyeroll expression" that indicates...look what I have to put with.

Especially by a toddler lol, they can knot things up more than combing them

Yes that's true.  When my daughter was young she would want to sit on my back and play beauty shop on my hair.  Until she got my hair tangled up.  Took me forever to pull it out and finally had to get my mom to cut out some of the knots.

One time she even got a hot wheels car tangled up in her own hair.  Same thing, just had to eventually cut it out.  Kid's gotta luv'em.

Especially when they have sticky hands, which is most of the time.

Chicken feed also attracts mice and bugs, so put the coop far from the house so they won't come in there too. Also check bylaws; if chickens are allowed there may be specified minimum distances from neighbouring dwellings.  I counted 8 peeps in her "we did a thing" photo. Are 8 allowed? Just hens or roosters too? My area only allows 4 hens, 0 roosters.
