I hate to agree with Ridge on anything, but he's right. Thomas has been a wedge between them well before Shauna came into the picture. Brooke looks as delusional as Stephanie did when Eric had had one foot out the door for ages when the show began and IIRC the breaking point was finding out Angela had been kept alive (supposedly) without Stephanie cluing him in. Only THEN did he go after Brooke.

Ridge is trash for badmouthing Brooke to Shauna if he's anywhere near sincere about making it work but Shauna is just the latest symptom of a 30 year disease.

It's not a perfect portmanteau, but it captures how utterly DOA this couple is. And it should be like this considering Wyatt's romantic history and how he's never had a woman without some baggage with Liam (and yeah I know Katie, but that's...its own thing).

This could have been one of the more tolerable triangles we've had in this entire century to date because Wyatt has--well, used to have--fans that wanted good things for him after being second fiddle to his Eggo brother forever, but they fucking ruined that big time. And Flo? She's easily the worst addition to the show since horseface Caitlyn and her bland AF personality. She can go any now.

At least Courtney Hope will now be free to pursue other avenues of acting. I can't imagine her being out in the cold for too long....

IF it’s Wyatt and Sally, I hope that an actual re-engagement (WITH A RING) and wedding takes place.

If the writers play it right (and if Bell has finally accepted the fact that he just isn’t ever gonna make Flo happen because we the audience are not having it), they can turn this storyline into some old school soapy goodness.

I really hope TIIC really do lurk around these boards because, if so, LISTEN UP.

Have Wyatt start off doing his pity sacrifices for Sally by leaving Felony Flo (thereby delaying their union and starting off pining away from her) and getting back together with her. The catch is that, as Wyatt reacquaints with a sick Sally this time around, he starts to actually realize he’s been in love with her all along but was too scared to move forward with her because of his insecurities of being second choice Waffle and because of his mommy issues where he’s been too afraid to go up against Quinn. All the while Sally (because of the laws of soap character ignorance/stupidity) has no idea Wyatt knew anything about her illness before proposing to and marrying her. She finally lets her guard down and allows herself to believe that she’s come out on top when it comes to romance. 

Up next is Sally’s miraculous recovery after she and Wyatt have had sexy/intimate times again. She soon finds out she’s pregnant with their kid but before she’s able to tell Wyatt she finds out that he knew about her illness before the proposal, is then convinced that Wyatt still loves Flo (not knowing that, after his pity reunion with her he had a chance to actually fall in love with her again) and, not wanting Wyatt to “stay with her for their child” tells him to kick rocks and keeps the pregnancy secret from him.  Add Bill finding out about the pregnancy just because you can never have too much Bill and we’ve got a show worth tuning into. 

It would have all of our favorite /annoying/ INTERESTING soapy tropes AND, can y’all imagine how an actress like Courtney Hope would do a kick ass job with this storyline?!

Meanwhile, Felony Flo is left standing there with her usual lame half-open mouth pout stunned that Wyatt is no longer interested in their lame, unrealistic (though yes, I know the rare high school sweethearts experience happens) blast from the past love story. 

But, knowing these writers, we’re in for some lame Wyatt pining away for Felony Flo while Bell continues his redeem the felon tour, or something. Ugh.

Yuck. This show is so tiresome. So the Felony Flo redemption tour will continue. And what is this “life worth living?” Getting back with Sally out of pity? Continuing to see Flo in secret to reassure her while Sally is on her death bed? Kicking someone while they’re down?

These writers are so gross. 
 

BUT I’m SO glad that Twitterverse is eviscerating the Flatt pairing and takes any and every opportunity to let TIIC know that the Flatt pairing is as exciting as watching paint dry, they LOVE Sally (and how dare they think of killing her off) and Felony Flo is not any less felonious despite the writers’ lame attempts to redeem her. May they get even more backlash because of these irritating spoilers.

Bell and these unimaginative writers just don’t know how to read a room. Most of the BB fanbase can’t stand Flo and are starting to really despise Wyatt. But this? Tender moments while Sally is dying, Wyatt “making the ultimate sacrifice” by playing nurse to Sally? Beyond gross. Still trying to decide if I’ll be watching this dreck play out in screen. But if I do (and it’ll only be to watch my girl Courtney Hope continue to get the screen time she deserves), I can guarantee I’ll be out (for real, y’all) soon after.

What is it with Bell and his fixation with trying to redeem Felony Flo? The ship sailed the minute she took the 50 thou. Stupid Bell wouldn’t know a good storyline if it hit him between the eyes.

With that situation, the show went stealth, not even revealing the boink until *after* Bridget's Google-fu saved Katie.

The worst part of it was how insistent Nick was that Katie should be allowed to let go peacefully and Bridget being "Um excuse me wtf" and all of us being puzzled by this about face until it was shown  he'd boinked her. Dead men tell no tales....or dead women, in that case 😐

come to think of it, if CH was on her way out, wouldn't there have been....any news about that at all by now? Anything about a final taping? 🤔 They didn't for Aly's death because that was an intentional secret, but if this were truly her swan song, there should be....something. plus, the who vagueness of her illness seems to lead into a whole set up about Sally keeping the lie going so then Wyatt--and the audience--can feel good about him.picking Flo.

which, as mentioned above, is just so tone deaf. The only time she had anything resembling popularity was when Brooke made her kidney donation all about Shauna and Ridge at the worst possible time, but that was more about Brooke than Flo.

i think Amber had more fans by the end of her run, tbh.

Out in soap forum world not only do some viewers think Sally isn't going to be the one who dies, there's now a spumor afloat that it'll be Douglas. Because he more qualifies as "beloved" than Sally.  A lot more, IMO. Would Brad have the stones to kill off Douglas?

I'm wondering though if maybe it'll be Pam. (Though that might be kind of cruel given what recently happened to Alley Mills IRL.) I think Eric's a possibility too. Oh, who am I kidding? Brad ain't killing nobody off. THOMAS IS STILL ALIVE!

After Y&R's attempt to diversify that show with the Rosales family, I'm not sure if I'd want B&B to even try. I really, really hate to copy any of the bad takes from Tumblr discourse, but I'm not convinced any attempts at diversity would be anything more than tokenism given Bell's history and it's not something I'd want to watch as a WoC. I'd far rather he go all the way back to the drawing board and make B&B watchable and remotely fun again before doing anything else.

I know we can't have any new men, so in that vein, I think they should bring back Brooke's first love, the police officer, or whatever his job was. I know the info is out there, but I'm too lazy to look it up, but the man she was engaged to when the show started, & she saw Ridge & found her destiny. He's not a new character, God knows we can't have that, so bring him back & give Brooke someone that is only into her. 

I will say, it's amazing, she's near 60, if not there yet, but girlfriend can still bring her flirt game when she's with $Bill. She should give pointers. Step 1: tilt head. Step 2: slyly smile. Step 3: doe-eyes, always the doe-eyes. On & on until $Bill throws caution to the wind. 

On the other hand, DD could give pointers, too. Step 1: look like me. Step 2: be charming like me. There's no step 3, those are all the steps you need.

On spoiler topic: I hope that it was Quinn that spied on them. Katie & Bill are boring together, the Bridge ship sunk long ago, I'm ok with a Brill reunion.

In theory, I'd be okay with this if they had put even a quarter-assed attempt at writing for them. I mean, they both hate Thomas for what he did to their grandchild and could have both teamed up to put an end to this sham wedding and fall for one another.

Failing that, Brat Bell could invent a time machine and go back to 2017 and kill the Brooke/Bill/Sky triangle in its tracks so they could have enjoyed a longer marriage than Brooke and Thorne had (yep, nearly 20 years on and I'm still bitter).
