JH, CL and KC. Dang. There’s a bird joke there.

JH is getting a divorce?

That's sad about KC, they seemed happy couple months ago....and I believe the dog is his, who sfe always posts about. Wonder if the possibility of her being in VC full time again and him possibly not willing to relocate had anything to do with it.

The actor — best known for his TV roles in series like Arrow, Sirens and The Moodys — welcomed his second child with wife Brace, a baby boy, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, a rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.

Hank Rice Segarra was born at 3:21 a.m. local time, weighing 7 lbs., 14 oz.

“My wife is my superhero,” Segarra, 33, tells PEOPLE. “She’s our Wonder Woman. The way she loves makes me fall in love with her more and more every day. Her boys have her back from now till the end of time. A man is blessed because of the family he has, and I am a very blessed man.”

Baby Hank makes the family a household of four alongside big brother Gus Maine, who turned 3 on Sept. 30.

MB mentioned a behind-the-scenes moment involving EBR during his panel at German Comic Con on December 7 or 8, 2019, in Dortmund (videos posted by Avern78 on Dec. 10th)...

Part 1:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBCWkB0ZWno

Part 2:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EocmEqS1Bo

-- When asked what was the funniest thing that's ever happened to him behind the scenes on set on anything that he's worked on, MB: "Uh, funny stuff... there's too many kids in the room to talk about the bathhouse scenes on Spartacus, but, like, it was very cold shooting Spartacus. So there were various ways of not sort of embarrassing yourself, but that was another story... Um, I mean, there was a time where, you know, I - you know, when the blonde-haired girl on Arrow - what's her name? Um, Katie - not Katie... No, uh - Emily, Emily, Emily Beckett. Sorry, sorry. Emily. I just never did scenes with her, so her name - but anyway, there was a scene where I had her at the end of Season 2 - was it the end of Season 2? And, uh - and I had her in a sort of a headlock. And kind of, you know, Stephen Amell came out and he said, 'Let her go.' (Uses low voice) The work of mirakuru in my system. (Laughs) But I was standing there, basically, you know, because Deathstroke's so gullible to getting a backfist from a secretary. Uh, you just got to read between the lines. But, anyway, so I had her in a sort of chokehold and - and she had to do this kind of backhand and - and whack me with a needle, you know, and get me in the neck. And, uh, she was holding this thing and, uh - and I'm just thinking like, you know, she's going to do something - like that guy. When you get adrenaline and you're on a filming set and it's your first time to do something really physical, because Emily probably hadn't had many fight scenes, so in this moment, she really - I don't know, like the energy and electricity went through her system? She just went (Makes punching sound and sudden hard back hand gesture) ... and she hit me in the mouth and, like, split my lip. And it was sort of bleeding. It was kind of embarrassing because, you know, I'm Deathstroke.... Anyway, it was - everybody, everybody laughed. I didn't think it was very funny, but everybody else laughed. And, uh, when you look at it like, you know, he's meant to be Deathstroke, you know (Makes tough guy noises) and suddenly the blonde-haired secretary goes (Makes punching sound) and (Grimaces and touches lip) 'I'm bleeding. Medic! Medic! Ring my agent.' Yeah, something like that."

I laughed but fragile ego much?  Here's he's mocking what damage a blonde "secretary" can do but clearly Emily did damage. So shouldn't he be less embarrassed that Deathstroke could be taken by surprise by Felicity's move since Emily just proved a woman her size and strength could do it?

I have mixed feelings about the potential spinoff getting greenlit, but I'm glad that the media seem to be treating KM as the defacto lead:

Doesnt make sense to separate them. Have CW/Berlanti learned nothing from the past 8 years?

I'm only posting the link from this throwback b-t-s pic recently posted by Echo Kellum because the cast members are all showing the finger in it (and I'm not sure if forum rules allow that to be shown) - but this pic appears to be from 5x23 filming on "Lian Yu"...

Looks like at one point they thought of going more comic accurate for everyone in S8

I feel like they should stop trying to making comic accurate and start doing suits that are suitable to the actors body type. I wouldnt put fishnets on any Canary but especially not on an actor who already has very skinny legs.

Nice interview with KM - talked about her background, career start, Shadowhunters, Arrow, fandom, social media, the industry, personal likes, etc. (no spoilers) - recorded Dec. 12, 2019, published Jan. 20, 2020...

-- KM: "I do have to say that watching them build my Arrow suit was incredible. They're such experts. They're amazing, 'cause I got - you know, I was there for the fittings, 'cause it had to be on my body. It was incredible, 'cause they've done so many, and they've done so many so well, that they're such masters. And their creativity when it comes to detail is the most amazing thing. For example, on my suit - you can't see it in most of the shots - but it's made of this material called EuroJersey, which is like this really thin, stretchy fabric. But they had the stuff for my suit printed with little teeny tiny arrowheads all over it, in two different patterns. So my entire suit is made up of little teeny tiny arrows... It's really cool. 'Cause their whole idea was to base it off of Oliver's suit, but make it kinda new and a little more feminine, but then also...  make it arrow-themed, have everything be an arrow, so every kind of shape is slightly like an arrowhead... It's amazing... It's so much fun to wear as well, because you feel like a superhero. You put on the suit and you look around and there's, you know, a couple Supermen and the Flash and Supergirl and the Green Arrow, and you go, yeah, now I can be one of them! I can be one of the cool kids now, this is great! But it kinda makes you want to run around and jump and do cool things... Also, I have to give a shout-out to Stephen Amell because in Season 1 of Arrow, he kind of - he and the Wardrobe Department created this concept for the boots. Because obviously they have to look like big, hardcore boots, but he had the idea - he, like myself, does a lot of our own stunts - um, of going, 'well, it's going to be so impractical to have those heavy boots on all the time. Can we take the sole of a Nike or some kind of sneaker and put it - make a boot on top of it?' And they went, 'well, yeah, sure.' So my superhero boots are basically sneakers running shoes... I have to give a shout-out to Stephen for that, 'cause that is a godsend."

-- KM: "I would say, one of my favorite memories from the Arrow set... It's sort of bittersweet... There was one day in particular, when we were shooting the final, final episode, when pretty much everybody was on set. And everybody came, even people who weren't working that day showed up, because so many people were wrapping right around that same time. And it - it hadn't really felt real for me because, you know, we did the backdoor pilot and we did all these other things that - it didn't feel as if I was fully saying goodbye to this world. And that made it so - not final, but it made me realize that it will never be the same, in that moment. And it just hit me. Because there's been so much love on that set and it's been so wonderful... It's not goodbye, but it's never going to be the same."

-- On what is up for her in 2020, KM: "What's exciting is that there's so many possibilities for what's going to happen. There's some things right now I'm in the middle of shooting Stephen King's The Stand, which is going to be a lot of fun... It's incredible. For CBS All-Access, it's a nine-episode miniseries and the cast is insane. And everybody who's working on it really is passionate about Stephen King and about the project. And it's - it's such an ama - it's such a departure for me from what I've been doing, and the character as well is such a departure. So that's very exciting... I'm not sure when it's coming out. I assume 2020 at some point... Um, and then, we'll see about the - the backdoor pilot. We'll find out sometime next year* if it's moving forward into series. And if not, I have some other irons in the fire that we'll see, some really exciting things. I'm dipping my toe into producing and into - back into music, like we talked about, and directing as well... So I've got some irons in the fire in all of those fields, and I'm dying to dig in."

I listened to the podcast which was really tough. Rosebaum, being how he is, makes a lot of it about himself and his own experiences but basically from mins 16-32, SA increasingly sounds not ok and then he says he feels sick and leaves. (The worst part is from mins 29-32). The second half was taped 2 weeks later and he sounded much better, but dude was clearly exhausted and mourning the end of the show.

Interestingly he talked a bit about the decision to do season 8 even though he felt season 7 was the natural end and how they basically offered him so much money that he felt he wouldn’t be “fiscally responsible” to turn it down. He said he liked how season 8 turned out and had fun but when he stepped back on set he felt like maybe he had been there too long. It was both diplomatic and pointed.

ETA: Just finished the podcast. He talked a bit about his first death scene in the xover and how dissatisfied he was because of scheduling issues. GG and CL had to wrap so there were parts where he was delivering his lines to no one despite it being a really pivotal scene for his character. He sounded really unhappy about it.

ETA 2: Here's the full quote

Quote

"My character's dying in episode one [of the crossover] and he's dying in the Arrow bunker...my lines were to Kat MacNamara, to Caity Lotz and to Grant. And they were trying to wrap Caity and Grant because they had hit their 13-hour mark or whatever it was. The were trying to wrap Caity and Grant before I shot the coverage of the scene where I died. I blame no one for this but this a scene with me from Arrow that's taking place on Supergirl with a Supergirl crew with demands on both Grant and Caity Lotz, who are on Flash and Legends, who are on a different schedule than the crossover because they're shooting different shit, and they're trying to pull them so that they don't - Flash and Legends - mess up their day the next day. Meanwhile, the fucking Green Arrow is lying on a gurney trying to deliver his lines to something other than a fucking tennis ball. So there are lots of scenes where I'm acting and there's not other actors there. And that's just not an acceptable way of creating the best product, from my perspective. And I think it's a little bit disrespectful to the actors and their process, speaking personally. Other actors might not give a shit...But for that moment and for that scene, I mean, I'm trying to think of what the more important scenes are. And it's not just because it involves my character or my character's death, but...[the crossovers] come out great. I'm glad that we do them. They're not the most fun to shoot."

There were a lot of comments in the episode threads about how everything was so rushed - scenes didn't have room to breathe or started/ended abruptly, plots and characters popped in and out of nowhere, cameos were crammed in, everything seemed a bit frantic even for a crossover... I don't know if it's comforting or infuriating to know that it wasn't just an editing choice - that they didn't have more film for a scene to let breathe because they were rushed and actors were rushed and things were being added in once filming had wrapped. I think the shows really suffered from it and it led to a crossover that was more exhausting that usual for actors and not good storytelling for fans.

Kat and KC seem to be taking passive aggressive shots at each other in terms of what they'll promote on Twitter. Really makes me wonder how they'll tolerate working with each other if they're constantly trying to one up each other.

KC's aggression was fine (well not fine but it didn't seem to cause any major problems) when EBR was lead because EBR is so super chilled but Kat doesn't seem like she's going to take KC's crap lying down (and she shouldn't).

Are they? Looking through both of their tweets....not seeing it.

The network may be encouraging them to appeal to their respective sections of the audience since there doesn’t seem to be as much overlap as they’d prefer.

Katie intensely avoiding mentioning Green Arrow and grouping them all together as Canaries is hilarious to me.

TV Line has a good recap of SA's appearance on the "Inside of You" podcast besides just the panic attack bit that other media outlets are focusing on.  This delves into his complaints about the crossover and him saying he basically did season 8 for the money:

Quote

Elsewhere during the in-depth and always illuminating Inside of You podcast Q&A, Amell confirmed that he was “ready to move on” ahead of Arrow Season 7 “and then I got the proverbial ‘offer that I couldn’t refuse.’ They say, ‘Well, you’ll have to shoot 22 episodes with us [for Season 7]… which is July through April. Are you really telling us you want to do 22 at Price X and finish in April, and not do 32 at this price, and be done in October?’ Because if you’re renegotiating, they change your episodic fee. I looked at it, and it would have been fiscally irresponsible for me to say no. Just fiscally irresponsible. I loved the s–t out of Season 8, I had a blast, but I was there for the money. More so than I had ever been.”

People on Twitter yesterday seemed more focused on how terrible his wife comes off in the podcast (I haven't particularly liked her actions in the past but I did NOT get that by listening to what he said), but his frustrations with the crossover and his ambivalence about season 8 was the juiciest parts, IMO.

The only Arrow I watched was the crossover, but it showed. I truly hope his mental health is better now.

With all the money they threw at him, TPTB really wanted this crossover and spinoff to happen, huh?
