I am unimpressed by Molly Simms, I wish that they would bring Joy back full time....We need her to counter Nicole's rhetoric with the presidential elections on the horizon. Whoopie could do it, but, I am so over her and her ego....I have always felt that Joy was stifled by Bill Geddie to make Elizabeth relevant..I think Joy could balance Whoopie's ego, Nicole's republican rhetoric, Rosie's incoherence and Raven's eccentricity with aplomb...If I cannot have Rosie O'Donnell back, I would love to have Joy back...Plus, Joy is not as hypersensitive as Rosie, to not take things too personal and I have always felt that holds Rosie back...

Do you ever get the impression that Morgan Freeman begrudgingly tolerates the fawning that he gets? I saw him on the Today Show and they fawned there too, but the View ladies take it over the top with the sexiness routine, etc. I love the guy, but he must get tired of this stuff. What a shock, Molly Simms didn't know he was a pilot! How did she not know that? Shouldn't everyone know every fact about Morgan Freeman? She acted upset with herself that she didn't know that.  What fantastic interviewing skills these ladies have! (Sarcasm intended)

Another interesting fact about Freeman is that he's an accomplished sailor...they could asked him about his travels. He's sailed all over the world...what a bunch of idiots. Sigh.

I'm getting better about fast-forwarding The View.  I no longer need to watch ANY interviews--no matter who the guest is.  I'll never again know whether a guest makes Nicolle sweat because they're SO sexy.   Yep...it's just a few quick minutes of Lukewarm Topics for me.

Yeah, that throne was replaced mid-show this week.  She started bitching about something being wrong with the throne.  When they came back from a break, there she was in a chair like everyone else's.  Eventually they added that pink rocker-seat.

Sigh, they managed to make Morgan Freeman boring - perhaps he was so bored he didnt' even care.  He could have owned that segment if he had wanted to.

 

Thankfully I was saved from further watching by the ABC news cut away.

 

I think I may be saved from ever watching again for a specific guest unless it is one I think is subversive enough to do their own 'schtick' during the allotted time.

I doubt they will say much about it.... on Thurs when SCOTUS ruled in favor of ObamaCare.... they mentioned it and moved on..... I honestly dont think they will say anything positive about it because the wrong political party is in charge...... But if they do... mark my words that Nicholle will say it is the best thing since sliced bread and she thinks it is a good decision.... even though the party she supports has always been against it.

Welcome to the club.  I have probably watched 5 interviews in 18 years (Letterman, Obama, and a few other strays).  I have never watched the show live and have only missed a handful of shows each year (local pre-emptions, recording failure). The interviews have been bad since the days of Meredith and Star.  Sorry, but the 4-minute sitdown, filled with a minute of audience applause, a 30-second clip, and meandering 2-3 pointless questions have never been worth the effort.  I've always just taped the first 20 minutes for Hot Topics.  Now that there are two 5-minute commercial breaks in the first half-hour, I extended recording to the First 28.  I can usually watch it all in 13-17 minutes.

 

People actually watch for the guests?

I was just coming here to post practically the same words.   That was hilarious!   Whoopi, her daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter might be  Ok looking, but honestly, it's just 4 generations of average.

I wonder if Whoopi meant 14 months?  or was the kid 2?   I had the show on, but wasn't watching that part. 

 

The 9 month pregnancy thing -   yes, pregnancy is  counted as  40 weeks by doctors, which is not exactly the same as 9 months, but also not the same as ten months.    it  seems like it would be 10 months, but it's not really, because each month has a few days over 4 weeks.    40 weeks of pregnancy is 280 days , which is only 10 months if each month was 28 days - but it usually adds up to about 9 months of 30 -31 days/month.

 

Add that to the fact that the 40 weeks is actually started from the day of your last menstrual period.   That means that on the day of fertilization, you are actually already 2 weeks along.  

 

That's the long way of saying Nicolle is wrong.   pregnancy is 9 months, approximately.  Not 10.
