So she "danced" out and thank goodness reminded us of Jeffrey's birth weight. Then the stand-up started. Blech.

OMG did she really just tell Raven she could have 1 or 2 of her kids??????????????

One of the sad things about being precocious AND a darling little child star is that family, friends, and coworkers give one more credit than is deserved.  If that person continues in life without a well-rounded education, it makes for the silly opinions that pour out from Raven.  She really doesn't know better.  She does seem to have more than her share of confidence.

So what was Elisabeth's excuse?  Or Sherri's for that matter? But I do agree Raven seems to think that there is value in everything she says.  Which of course simply isn't true.  It's like she want's to appear to be provocative or something.  But IMO she just looks stupid.

I watched the beginning and thought Sherri wasn't that bad at all.  It felt like a little energy was infused into the lumps of death sitting around the table.  I really wanted to hear from the vegan food guy (I'm essentially vegan save for eggs and cheese here and there) but as soon as they lined up and started the cross talk and stuffing their faces, I turned it off.

This show really must have some winners behind the scenes. Why do they think this is good television?

LOL. I'm pretty sure it's "funeral."

Thank you. That makes sense given the caskets and all. I just happened to look up when the kid was "dancing" on the piano (I think) because I noticed how dangerously close his rear was in that dudes face. I turned the volume up and I thought they kept saying funhole. I am still perplexed why there were kids singing so excitedly about a funeral. I should just turn this shit off instead of attempting to understand.

Exactly.  Whenever there is any sort of demo (cooking or how-to) let the freakin person speak and show the audience what's what.  All the nattering, cross talk, and conversations is crazy-making.  Bad television.

Look at this clip, lol.

The musical number was from "Fun Home" currently running on Broadway

http://funhomebroadway.com/?gclid=CjwKEAjw-ZqrBRDt_KjhjcbzhhISJAAlRGvlkZSc2QH6Ouxo8OjMvrFsIsXArjnzyPsgBjMtG9fF2BoCFanw_wcB#about-the-show

ETA: That performance didn't translate well. Live, on stage in a theatre is so different from a performance for a televised studio audience. See Rosie's failed show attempting to do the same, the Sound of Music with Carrie Underwood presentation, Mama Mia the movie vs. the show, etc. Les Mis on stage is so much better than the film.

Nicolle yet again demonstrates her BS by telling Raven what a role model she is for younger women. The other day she gushed over Whoopie's beautiful clothes and when she was reminded by Whoopie herself that it was mainly white shirts, Nicolle said that the creases were so sharp and perfect!

Nicolle should write an inspirational book, "How to Suck Up to Everyone...No Matter Who or When."   The girl has no clue.

Sherri, Sherri, Sherri...I have NOT missed your pathetic attempts at being sexy.  Your old stories weren't funny the first 50 times you told them; they still aren't.  I hope you watched today's show so you could see that you ate MORE than the rest of the hosts combined.    She would not move out of the way so the cookbook guy could demonstrate the food.   Producers, please do not bring her back!

Are these kids singing about a "funhole" or am I misunderstanding the lyrics?

They're singing "Fun Home," which is the title of the musical.  This musical has received 12 Tony nominations...and although I love Broadway* musicals, this particular performance didn't entice me at all.

*I can't go to the real Broadway, but our city gets great touring shows a year or so (or more) after shows open on Broaday.  Book of Mormon is coming this season.

This reminded me:  Whoopi explained the only reason she was wearing a black shirt that day was because something spilled on her white one.  Within moments of us learning that Whoopi has a closet full of pristine white shirts ready to go.  With sharp, perfect creases no less.  Why does she lie so much over such small things?

I hate to criticize children, but I thought it was awful. It was, however, infinitely better than the rest of the show.

Good catch.  I didn't even think of that.  I sincerely don't get the need for all the stupid B.S.   Bizarre.

When Sherri made that comment about "I have a child or 2 you can have" I wanted there to be a record scratch/silence and then for someone to say, "That's a terrible thing to joke about." or call her out in some way.  I still think what she did with that baby is disgusting, and to now joke about something like that?  So bad.  Raven didn't look amused at that joke.

Also, I felt it was rude that she admitted that her son and his school has a way to identify his needs/feelings by a color system, and she mocked it and  said that she just did like her mother did and all the black people and said "just get over here, Jeffrey" or whatever she said...  Raven again said she loved the idea that he had a way to identify his feelings and express himself, and even Nicolle discounted her and made a snarky comment about not knowing what it was really like until you're an actual parent.  So rude, and does such a disservice to her son and other special needs kids around the world.

The cross-talk during the cooking segment was ridiculous as usual.  As was Sherri's non-stop moving/dancing/holding in pee moves that she did throughout the show.

This is one of the first shows I've watched since Rosie left b/c I wanted to see what Sherri would say about things.  I don't even know why I keep this on my DVR...

this is the second time we've heard Whoopi say she ALWAYS wears a white shirt - while not wearing one.    And there is some weird disconnect for me, thinking of someone who is so picky about having a crisp, creased white shirt, and the slovenly way we see her dressed most of the time.

Yeah, no kidding.   I recall a time when a co-worker of mine said she wanted a child, and I said "Oh I have 2, I'll share"  Haha.  Funny for me, because I had 2 rowdy boys.  Boys I gave birth to, and who lived with me.   For sherri to make such a joke, after trying to deny any connection to the child, is  despicable.

Sherri has absolutely no self-awareness. That was a terrible, terrible joke to make under the circumstances.

ETA-it occurred to me that this show was taped so ABC could have edited out the joke, but chose not to. Sparks?

There is something so sad about Sherrie...She admitted today that everybody had warned her about her soon-to-be ex husband and chose not to heed their warnings. I always thought it was weird that only Bitsy went to her wedding...I wish her the best in life, i just do not want to see her on my screen.. She was so over the top and I believe it is to mask her pain and embarrassment about her failed marriage...I was cringing with her comments about her marriage, divorce, salary and children..Sherrie cannot go off the cuff, she will get herself in trouble....Not to be mean, but, she looked like a stuffed sausage in her dress... I was uncomfortable watching Sherrie and Raven stuffing their faces on national TV...No decorum at all...I can give Raven a pass, but Sherrie is just gross period....Today's episode highlighted why I had such disdain for her....

What would have been her excuses all the years she was on The View?  She was always pawing attractive male guests, shaking her boobs at every opportunity, acting like she was the horniest woman on earth...need I go on?

Sherri lost her neck again!!  Just sayin'.

I noticed that too, MedicineCrow.  I thought maybe she had on some undergarment that pushed things up and/or down.  Her pink shoes looked like they were a size or two too big.  Ah...as I always say about myself, when you're pretty, you can get away with anything.

When Sherri was talking about her marriage, it was pretty awful. Everyone warned her not to marry Sal? Wow. BUT - I think I'd have more sympathy for her if she didn't have that put-on ghetto accent when she talked about it.

the food segment had the diet guy saying how healthy the food was, and how you could lose weight eating this way. But Sherri wasn't hearing that it was a diet PLAN. She seemed to think that the more of the food she ate, the more she'd lose. Seems to me it was a 22 day diet, and Sherri was trying to eat 22 days worth of food in one hour. Her rubbing up on the diet guy was pretty rude and inappropriate. At one point she seemed to be chanting something , but I couldn't hear the words because they were said through a mouthful of noodles.

Video evidence for the network backstabbers to prove why they should nevereverever book her again?

Sherri's very tasteless "joke" is news all over the place.  WTF is wrong with her?  She has to know that public sentiment about the surrogacy situation is not in her favor.  Even though the judge ruled against her has the case been completely settled yet?  If I were Sal's lawyer I would use her pathetic attempt at humor yesterday as evidence of her complete utter disregard for that poor baby.

And as far as her 20/20 hindsight about marrying Sal, too fucking bad.  Everyone saw him for what he was but she just blindly disregarded everyone's advice and went ahead and married him anyways.   If she is looking for sympathy for the poor choices she made in her life then she needs to look elsewhere.  She was stupid and now she  has to live with the consequences.  It's called life.

Sherrie is an idiot, a fool and a simpleton..I remember when she was going through her first divorce with her ex husband, she used to make embarrassing statements like beating Jeffrey with a wooden spoon. Whoopie tried to get her to stop saying statements that could be used against her in the divorce. Since Sherrie moves to the beat of her own drum, she would not listen to her advice and I remember Whoopie being exasperated with her. I may not agree with the Whoopster's ignorant statements, but she was right to keep Sherrie from shooting herself in the foot...Eventually, Whoopie gave  up and stopped advising her...Sherrie tries so hard to be funny and she comes off looking dumb in the process...She was actually twerking the food guy....I hope her inappropriate behavior keeps her off my screen for good...

Honestly.... Sal was exactly what Sherri ordered..... but something happened.... we dont know what it was..... but so often the blame is on Sal which is strange to me. Sherri has shown us all what kind of person she is.... it is glaringly obvious to me that she is not a good person by the way she treats her new child. From what we know he was a stay at home dad with Jeffery while Sherri bounced around doing other projects.

Sal is taking care of his new child.... but still he gets thrown under the bus

"I did a double-take when she first sat down…..it's basically a-head-on-torso situation now."

(for some reason, I cannot get things to go in the quote box)

Did you ever have a Barbie doll that you pulled the head off and then tried to put it back on and instead of Barbie having a swan like neck now her head sits wobbling directly on her shoulders? Yeah. That is how Sherri looked yesterday.

today's little discussion of working moms vs. stay-at-home moms, made me wonder what year it was.  Isn't this discussion OVER? The whole thing just seemed like pandering to me.  Moms are great! Hurray for working moms!  hurray for mom raising kids!   Women are great whether they have kids or not!  what was that?  No discussion, just cheerleading - yay for our team! women rock!   woo-hoo!  get the audience clapping on camera, because who doesn't love WOMEN!!!!

Taking care of house and kids is not a job that can ONLY be done by women.   Families make things work, some how, and we don't all fit into those two camps EITHER staying home OR working.  Shift work, part-time work, etc.    And the idea that "moms should get a salary to stay home" - WTF?  Paid for by Whoopi's taxes, I assume?

Oh and I don't even know how to respond to these women doing their little imitations of sexy moves on a mattress.

This was the biggest revelation for me.  That everyone literally warned her not to marry Sal.  It's one thing to be polite and not get involved in your doings it is another thing for her to say Whoppi cornered her in her dressing room and told her not to marry Sal.  Also we have heard the Barbara Walters story about threatening to kill Sal if he hurt Sherri.  In the past it was played more as "maternal love", now we know that Barbara was really serious and that she hated Sal.  Gives the whole exchange new meaning.

Egad, we were subjected to their favorite "comedian" again, the warm-up guy, Tom Kelly.   Nicole declares that he's AMAZING!  Yeah, I'm amazed that they let him on the air with that stale schtick.  Whoopi tells  him that he's "good," which was fine with me when I considered these: good, better, best.  Yeah, he's good...good enough for his day job.   Occasionally my kids have to remind me that I'm watching television created "for the masses," not for discerning critics like my fellow posters and me.

I avoided Sherri's return episode like the plague (for obvious reasons), but just reading this made me laugh so hard I almost fell out of my chair. Maybe the memories of her doing this daily are just too clear.
