We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

I was wondering about that. All the playgrounds in my area are taped off to remind everyone they're closed. Not only do playgrounds encourage gathering, they're never cleaned, so obviously are easily contaminated if kids are sick.

Maybe JillR should be less concerned about parents letting their children fall prey to the WICKED world and more concerned about taking precautions with her own children during a freaking pandemic.

ok, i dont know much about the other families often mentioned here. i skimmed the wedding video of sarah. is she the one that was 35-ish among a family of sisters that had not married? i dont know what i was expecting but she was not it.  did anyone else notice how very thin she is? her arms in her wedding dress looked so long and thin. they seem well suited to each other. oh and i literally watched about 10 minutes total of that VERY long video.

Jill is playing with fire. There is now a scary after effect of COVID infection for children which is very like Kawasaki disease which can be fatal and or cause aneurysms. Not something you want for your child because you are an ignorant cow.

But it's JUST like the flu sheeple. Idiots who should be taking better care of their children.

Jill's message is that the most important thing is to indoctrinate kids in her rigid religious beliefs. Food, medical care, safety, education are somewhat "important" (but maybe not) but not as much as obedience to Jesus and teddy bears, flowers, jewelry, and perfume for mama (a lot of that). I wish them luck. The summer could be tough where they are, and Nurie's big splash wedding won't help. "Ignorant cow" works pretty well to describe Jill, but cows are innocent, and Jill's culpability is in question.

Playgrounds are closed, they can’t be easily sanitized and her kids are climbing all over everything and the littlest one is carrying her blanket around, which probably did not get washed when they got home.  How she can be so careless with her own children’s health?  God, I wish they could be taken away from them, given a good bath, clothes that fit, enough food to eat and opportunities for a life other than bible tracts and grifting.

Sarah Mally wrote a book called Before you Meet Prince Charming, which the Duggar girls read. She is the oldest of three siblings. She and her sister Grace were both unmarried for a long time. Grace got married last year around age 31. Sarah, the current bride, is 41.

The other family with sisters not married is the Maxwells. None of their daughters are married, but their sons are. Sarah Maxwell is 38, Anna Maxwell is 27, and Mary is 24.

The black pregnant woman is the groom's sister-in-law. She is married to his brother. The only other black people I saw were their children.

Sarah is now married and Grace got married in November. Stephen is still unmarried. He was allowed to move out. He could be an fundie match for Jana.

Checked the Maxwell blog this morning and there are a couple of posts from Anna Marie in the past couple weeks.  Lord be praised, it looks like she is getting traditional chemo in addition to whatever natural stuff she is receiving.  There is a photo of her wearing an ugly knit hat holding the baby wearing a matching ugly knit hat and she remarks that her hair is gone.  She also says she gets regular blood work to make sure her cell counts are ok before each round and is getting iron infusions to prevent anemia.  That is the real deal chemo, although I still don't believe her specialist's inflated statistics on cures.

BTW, if chemo affects the hair, it can affect the eggs, too.  So, she isn't putting preserving her fertility above all else although I suppose she might've had some eggs frozen before starting.

On a more alarming note, Sarah Maxwell is also writing another children's book.  Because the world needs more of that right now.  Except not.

How would they afford to use those eggs if she had them harvested? Does the Scamaritan Not-Insurance cover putting back the eggs so they can righteously become new followers of the cult?

Good question. I wonder if they pay for vasectomy reversal.

According to one such group that some folks I know belong to, here are some of the things NOT eligible for having your costs shared  --  So, you know, no.

23) Impotence, Infertility, Surgical sterilization or reversal. Surgical and non-surgical services for the treatment of impotence. Testosterone supplementation. Infertility. Diagnostic, surgical repair, non-surgical repair, surgical impregnation, Prescription Drugs for the treatment of infertility, expenses and complications that result from surrogacy. Charges for care and treatment for, or reversal of, surgical sterilization, including vasectomy and tubal ligation.

27) Miscarriage. Expenses related to miscarriage when conception was prior to Enrollment Date are not eligible for sharing.

I expect most of the other groups are similar....

I'm confused by Anna Marie's shaving her head. She said she was just doing natural chemo. I don't think she is having real chemo. Maybe she shaved her head to shut people up?

I asked about radiation, but they never answered my question.  Don't people with stage 2A breast cancer get radiation?

I'll believe she's stopping the baby train and getting real chemo if she's not pregnant for two or more years!

I thought the matching hats were sort of cute considering Abby knitted them!  Abby is around 11.

It's so hard to fathom any insurance company refusing to pay for a simple vasectomy since it saves them so much money down the road.  Pregnancy, births,  complications, and  NICU stays are expensive!

It's not an insurance company, it's a co-opt. The one the church I use to go to pushed, you had to have a recommendation from the pastor stating you were a godly member in good standing. They didn't cover anything elective, which includes all forms of birth control, and had both a yearly limit and a lifetime limit.

This is what she said about the chemo:

Quote

We have been consulting with various oncologists to decide on the treatment plan we feel is best for me. The Lord used some unlikely circumstances to get us in contact with a medical oncologist in Seattle, with whom we consulted remotely. He does chemotherapy in a different way than is “standard of care” yet with very good clinical success (over the years he is seeing about a 1% recurrence rate vs. 10-15% recurrence rate with standard chemo)—all of this with less toxicity and suppression of the immune system typical with standard chemo. We would love to get the chemo plan administered locally, however, because it is not yet widely used in the medical community we suspect that won’t be possible. Which means I will likely be going to Seattle for three months of treatment. As you can imagine, there are a lot of logistics to that, especially with COVID-19 right now. We are praying that we can find someone to do it locally or that God will make the way clear for me to get treatment in Seattle.

If I understood the protocol it's more of a steady state of chemo with smaller doses administered more frequently.  I may not have gotten that quite right though.

So not standard of care chemotherapy, yea sign me up for that if I wanted to live a long healthy life after breast cancer. Again if it were cutting edge with a huge increase in survival rate and less side effects it would be everywhere. They are doing "treatment" which really isn't much of a treatment.

Well, she's apparently lost her beautiful hair, and uptight Christopher has shaved his head in solidarity.

Most of the people I've known have gone in every three weeks, but it's all variable.

If she doesn't go in until Tuesday she couldn't have lost her hair from chemo. So she just shaved her head in advance, which many women do actually.

She's been going for a few weeks now.

It depends on the drug you're getting. I went every 2 weeks when I was getting Adriamycin/Cytoxan and every week when I was on Taxol.

She's been going weekly for the past month or so, plenty of time for her hair to fall out.  She recently posted about being a quarter of the way through and I think she said it was a 12 week program.

Anna Marie Maxwell left the Monday after Resurrection Sunday (Easter).  RS/Easter was April 12 and she left after April 13th. Since her treatment was on Tuesdays, she had one April 14 and one a week later April 21. Her update post was on April 22 after she had had two treatments.

I'm still guessing she may have shaved/cut herself.

Peter David Waller was born earlier today (It's still Wednesday here!).

I was just coming here to post that. Given the name, maybe they'll be done with the letter P.

Also weird coincidence but most of babies I know (as fundies and real life) have been born on Wednesdays this year. Glad Peter and Priscilla seem healthy.

David gave Priscilla an hour to get dressed and ready after birth. That may be a record.LOL.

And they're already quoting verses about children.Of course.

Glad they're both healthy.Guess the next will be a girl. She's had them that way so far

David and Prissy must have been asked 3 times how Peter got out of Prissy's tummy. While I get that during the video wasn't the time to explain it, David sighed after the first question and they both continued to ignore them. And then the youngest boy asked another question and must have gotten his hand squeezed or leg pinched. Way to stifle young kids curiosity.
