Sweet Fellowship: Duggars and Friends (aka the Bates Family and Other Featured Families Thread)

Message added by Scarlett45

If a person/family was never featured on any of the Duggar shows, and is not related to the Duggar family by blood or marriage, they do not need to be discussed here..

The Politics Policy is still in effect. A participants social media is NOT an invitation to discuss their political view points. Consider if discussion of certain social media posts will cause you to violate the politics policy BEFORE you hit the "Submit Reply" button.

We may all agree that David Rodriques is quite unfortunate looking, but let's refrain from comparing human beings to apes, its got way too much of a loaded history- please review the new Inclusion Policy updated May 1, 2022 , which details guidelines around discussing body type, capabilities, physical appearance etc. Additionally, using body size as an insult is not allowed.

Dear Jill,

No one thinks you are bragging about your "parenting" because you are a horrible parent. You just keep being you though..

She really needs to think of new words to describe her children. We get it, they are all Godly and modest. Like they have a choice. We also know she is a "Pastor's Wife"( I would use the term Pastor lightly though).

Dear Nurie,

Please don't ever let your mother near your daughter's eyebrows..Thanks

I see Dave R added to the family collection of traffic citations this week.  This time for blowing a stop sign.  Court date is May 1st.  I just wish that I didn't think that the people having to give up their chicken leg to cover the costs were the littles, not the bad driver.

Geez, between Dave running stop signs, Tim running into other cars, and Nurie's kid not being in a car seat during an accident, it's only a matter of time before one of them gets seriously injured or they injure someone else.

Again. Before they get seriously injuried again.

Around where I live, people are blowing off signs at an alarming rate. I have almost been hit and I witnessed an accident later last year. It's at the point where I won't enter an intersection unless I see no cars around. I'm sick and tired of it.

Jill will have a hard time spinning pity to grift money for repairs of a van hubby crashed while running a stop sign.

True. She's already damaged her grift by showing off too many vacations, meals out, new clothes, home decorations, and shopping trips. Now, her headship has set her back. Again.

Maybe Tim can talk Mimi and Pops into buying some insurance for these situations.

Raise your hand if you think Nurie's oldest has a new, appropriate-sized car seat, that the youngest (for now) has an unused, appropriate-sized car seat, and that the baby will have a new, unused, infant car seat.  Anyone???  The "first granddaughter" may get an infant car seat, but I bet it will be from a thrift store or a yard sale.  And that BME will think bedazzeling it will be more important than being unused and the fit.  I'm sure this family thinks any old car seat will be just fine.  I still don't believe that they will bother with a car seat for each kid.

It seems to have involved a non injury crash with the van. Crash is marked on the ticket and there is a crash report # listed.

I can’t believe that there are people who still give them money!  They apparently don’t keep up with Jill’s FB page.

Everyone except Jill, Olivia, and one of the boys (forget which one, want to say Samuel) were listed on the ticket. I wonder where those 3 were?

Whoa Janessa was not with Jill?

I wonder if they were following in the car.

That's my thought. If Samuel was with Jill, he was probably driving. Jill can't, or won't, drive.

I wonder if this was when david took "some of the children" to help grandma julie move. I township they were in is northwest of the barndo. But sunday afternoon at 5:20 it seems they should have been at church.

(and Kaylee) has certainly shown enough video in her vehicle where Gideon is in a car seat or carrier, but forward facing rather than rear facing as he should be.

They were probably headed to church. Maybe a 6 pm service?

ETA Looked it up, and Sunday evening service is at 5. No clue what they were doing on the road when they should have been in church.

See, God punished David for not being in church when he should have.

She really thinks she’s contributing to the household at $10,000 gross revenue a year?  Before taxes, social security,  expenses that she probably doesn’t even know to keep track of, etc. Plexus’s own income disclosure form said the average earnings is a few hundred $ a year before expenses.

What does she know about either mental health or veterans?

And no, after she gets her 1099, she's nowhere near $10k. She must make more than that chart, but less than low end Ruby. If she's only making $875/mo. that's peanuts for the amount of work she does trying to network.

I'll bet there was a collective sigh of relief from the church members that evening:  No screechy violins, no whining from Jill, no boring canned sermon from David, no Rods clearing the dessert table before anyone else could get there.

Reading elsewhere, it looks like the van did considerable damage to the other car it hit. I wouldn't be surprised if it were a total loss. Again, I see so many people blow off stop signs, it makes my blood boil.

I wonder if David has collision insurance on the van.

What was Dave doing to cause a crash??? He has 1 job and that’s to drive. Did he fall asleep?

So that’s why Sam got a job. The sons will support the parents and pay for a new car. Sam graduated and got promoted to a family cash cow just like Philip.

Seems Mama has joined the unsafe rod drivers being ticketed.

Homes county where Tim's house is located

Dec 2023 Speeding 60 in a 45 zone in dec. fine $137 - 2 points

02/05/2024 what appears to be another tictet for 67 in a 45

02/21/2024 FAILED TO APPEAR. OHIO OPERATOR'S LICENSE TO BE FORFEITED

Then she paid up $194

no idea if she actually lost her license.

She was still in Florida on 2/21. This would have been right after her Plexus trip, the extra day they spent in Punta Cana. So she had no intention of appearing in court.

I hope the bribe didn't work. 😂

The best way Jill can help veterans and those with mental health issues is to stay far far far away from them.

Bravo!  I get riled when the fundies pretend they're so patriotic, yet wouldn't dream of volunteering for military service.

OTOH, maybe the military wouldn't take them, if there is any kind of test.

So in pure Rod style, they believe the rules of the road don't apply to them either.

It seems to me Jesus has sent the boat and the helicopter already - one of these times they won't be so lucky.

Jill paid $110 fine. That’s a few days of food right there. Guess she is so wealthy $110 fine is no biggie.

I wonder how much profit Jill made off the ladies retreat!

She paid fines a month before the retreat. I wonder how many had prepaid before then? She was desperate for early payments this year.

Maybe he needs glasses. What was his rush. Dave could have killed somebody

The car he hit sustained significant damage on the passenger side. It reminds me of when my husband similarly got t-boned. The car was a loss.

Dave can actually do some commercial print jobs and pay for the damage himself, since he caused it.

Now we know why.   If she paid the fine and court costs, she probably got her license back.

Wrong. The $110 fine was paid in February. During the dr/florida vacations.
