Stars In Other Roles: Doppelgangers!

I’ve been doing my patriotic duty and watching Suits on Netflix (apparently  it’s a national requirement), and was gut punched to see Billy Miller pop up on several episodes. He plays the brother to lead character Harvey. His character struggles with several personal issues, and knowing what I know, it just makes me sad.

On a lighter note, I have also been rewatching The Mindy Project, and was pleasantly surprised to see that Amanda Setton (Brooke Lynn) was a featured player on the first season! Of course, she didn’t last long, because that show made a habit of overhauling their cast every season for the first few years.

Someone elsewhere mentioned this Xmas movie from 2017. (Not planning on watching it)

I had to laugh at seeing both Ingo and Haley as two of the people who were in it considering how they both ended up finding themselves off of GH due to personal behavior.

It actually wasn’t bad. I mean it wasn’t good but it wasn’t awful. Just really cheesy Lol!

Chloe Lanier had a decent supporting role on Law & Order last night.

Yes, I thought she was really good, though I admit I had to check the cast list to see who she was. I knew she was familiar, but... I'm getting old.

She's really a good actress. I recall posting how good she was in original recipe NCIS 10 years ago! I think she played a homeless person.

I've been watching The Closer reruns on one of the local channels and how sad is it that JPS is much more edgy and cold-blooded as the LA District Attorney than as a Cassadine?

Just saw Sonya Eddy in a blink-and-you-miss-it part on Malcolm in the Middle. She was Lois's main competition in a hands-on-a-hardbody contest. Seeing Piph again, young and truck-hungry, even for a few seconds, made me wistful. <sniff>

A Youtuber I follow joked he was trying his damndest to be Leo in Titanic, and I couldn't unsee that. LOL

Same! Those pharma ads are very lucrative, so good for her. I'm sure it made life a lot easier while she was looking for other work.

Been bingeing American Housewife and Gregory Harrison has been in two episodes as the old boyfriend of the main character's mother.  Now I can see that he is a really good comedic actor.  Very impressive -- never knew that.

Not sure if this counts as a role, but I just saw an Opzelura commercial with Kristen Vaganos (current Molly).

She's also a cast member in a YouTube comedy channel called Content Machine.

She vaguely reminds me of Shiri Appleby from Roswell, so I can't help but like her a bit.

Just caught Kristen Vaganos again, this time in a Grammarly ad.  I wasn’t really paying attention, but don’t think either of the actresses in it spoke.  I finally checked her IMDB - almost 70 credits!

Girl is a hustler, and I gotta admire it. Well, unless she decides to join Steve Burton's energy drink pyramid scheme. LOL

It took me a while, but I am watching the Monsters show on Netflix now. I'm not far enough in to say whether I think it's a great series, but I'm impressed with Nicholas Alexander Chavez. Even if this hadn't been such a ratings smash, far more people would have discovered him from this than GH, and it was a lucky role for a breakout. He had had three years of practice at playing an entitled young rich guy who looks down on those he thinks of as inferior to him. Lyle is a more violent, foul-mouthed, and troubled version of that type. NAC also blends in with the good actors around him, and there are some Oscar nominees or winners in this cast, so it's a step up from most of the people he usually had scenes with on GH: Eden McCoy, Evan Hofer, Tabyana Ali, Adam Huss, etc.

I haven’t seen Grotesquerie, nor will I, but there’s a lip circulating on Twitter of NAC walking around bare assed. And May I just say what a FINE ass it is 🔥

For those missing Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel), he's putting his Nurses Ball male stripper skills to work in the new PG Netflix holiday romcom The Merry Gentlemen, taking it off alongside the lovely Chad Michael Murray, muscleboy Cole Prattes, the athletic Hector David Jr. and perennial charmer Maxwell Caulfield as the elder statesman of the troupe. Also stars an incredibly adorable dog, Britt Robertson as the heroine, Maria Sokoloff (who also co-wrote the film) as her sister, and Beth Broderick and Michael Gross as their parents who run the cash-strapped small town venue that can only be saved via a shirtless male dance revue. It ain't Shakespeare, but it was a fun watch!

He also has a small role in A Man on the Inside, the charming Ted Danson comedy on Netflix. Does Netflix sign actors to deals (just as actors, I mean)? He's getting decent work there.

It took me several minutes to realize that was Felix.  Highly recommend  this series.
