Mumbles February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Who are those guys who go on stage with Chance the Rapper? Glad they used Heidi Klum for this gag with the parents than insatiable fameball Chrissy Tiegen. 5 Link to comment
kib February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Methinks it's time for Ken Ehrlich (the "Ken" Adele apologized to requesting a second take) to hang up producing this gig. Once a pioneer in covering musical events, it's clear he's just somnambulating through this anymore. Nice run Ken, now pass the baton. 10 Link to comment
Misslindsey February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 (edited) The Grammy's really need to get these sound issues ironed out. It is not just a one time deal, it is constant throughout the show. Edited February 13, 2017 by Misslindsey 11 Link to comment
Fostersmom February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Nice, he looked super pissed when he realized his mic wasn't on. 4 Link to comment
mojoween February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 James Hetfield's microphone is seriously not on. What the fuck. I mean, I actually hate Metallicrap, but that is some low-rent shit right there. My son is going to be so disappointed. 5 Link to comment
27bored February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Damn. This Grammys sucks so hard it's actually funny. Lady Gag Gag is running around like she's fronting her boyfriend's rock band. And Metallica is great, and doesn't get mainstream exposure like this. So it sucks their sound isn't working. 4 Link to comment
mtlchick February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 And tonight's "person getting fired" is whoever is handling the sound for Metallica. Suddenly the pit in the front of the stage is ALIVE! Oh Gaga. At least you got through your pretentious phase and you're just having a blast singing. 6 Link to comment

mojoween February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 I am amused at Gaga's outfit because that is exactly what I picture someone would wear to a Metallica concert. 4 Link to comment

Misslindsey February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 (edited) Lady Gaga does try to sell the shit out of whatever she is performing. I loved her Super Bowl performance last week. Oh I loved Sharon Jones. Yay the Dap Kings! Edited February 13, 2017 by Misslindsey 8 Link to comment

reggiejax February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 While in my younger days I was a huge Metallica fan, I admit I haven't kept up with Hetfield and company in years. And to say I don't care for Lady Gaga is understating it, by a lot. I am not familiar with this song, and the issues with the sound on tonight's show are self-evident, but damned if that wasn't the most enjoyable performance of the night. Raw and energetic in a sea of overproduced, overhyped, self-indulgent crap (Beyonce, I'm looking in your direction.) 6 Link to comment
Mumbles February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 (edited) Sturgill Simpson may be the only artist to sing/write a song based on a Bertrand Russell anecdote, and for that I am a huge fan. Smart thoughtful guy. Ugh. Little Big Town is coming back again? They're such a cruise ship band. They tried to cook up some notoriety with a song about sexual experimentation ("Girl Crush") which I found very cynical. Go back to the Lido Deck. 27bored February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Lady Gaga seems like she's just trying anything to stay relevant. Including singing with Metallica and crowd-surfing and subsequently giving the mosh pit the clap. Nice to hear Sturgill Simpson play. I caught him on Austin City Limits late one night not long after his album came out and I kinda fell in love. Hope he takes top honors tonight. In a room full of tryhards, it's kinda nice just to see a man play. This kinda sounds like a singalong at the end of SNL, but still. 2 Link to comment

mtlchick February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Quote Lady Gaga seems like she's just trying anything to stay relevant. I call it her renaissance. I enjoy her stuff but I thought ArtPop was TERRIBLE and the props and costumes really took over from her talent during that time. I think doing the duet album with Tony Bennett was what she needed to do in order to get back into how good she can be. She's certainly having fun doing music again. 14 Link to comment

27bored February 13, 2017 Share February 13, 2017 Demi Lovato needs to learn to do more than open her mouth to Buick size and making noises. Good God she sounds like loud ass. She looked nice with the long, straight hair. HEY TORI! Love you forever. Andra Day looks like Rihanna's more talented older sister. Love her voice, but not for a Bee Gees tribute. Jesus. They couldn't get Robin Thicke, Maxwell, JT, or Mayer Hawthorne to do a real tribute? Instead they got a bunch of chicks who are kinda hit-or-miss on their own songs? 5 Link to comment
