Methinks it's time for Ken Ehrlich (the "Ken" Adele apologized to requesting a second take) to hang up producing this gig.  Once a pioneer in covering musical events, it's clear he's just somnambulating through this anymore.  Nice run Ken, now pass the baton.

Damn. This Grammys sucks so hard it's actually funny. Lady Gag Gag is running around like she's fronting her boyfriend's rock band. And Metallica is great, and doesn't get mainstream exposure like this. So it sucks their sound isn't working.

And tonight's "person getting fired" is whoever is handling the sound for Metallica.

Suddenly the pit in the front of the stage is ALIVE!

Oh Gaga.  At least you got through your pretentious phase and you're just having a blast singing.

While in my younger days I was a huge Metallica fan, I admit I haven't kept up with Hetfield and company in years. And to say I don't care for Lady Gaga is understating it, by a lot.

I am not familiar with this song, and the issues with the sound on tonight's show are self-evident, but damned if that wasn't the most enjoyable performance of the night. Raw and energetic in a sea of overproduced, overhyped, self-indulgent crap (Beyonce, I'm looking in your direction.)

Sturgill Simpson may be the only artist to sing/write a song based on a Bertrand Russell anecdote, and for that I am a huge fan. Smart thoughtful guy.

Ugh. Little Big Town is coming back again? They're such a cruise ship band. They tried to cook up some notoriety with a song about sexual experimentation ("Girl Crush") which I found very cynical. Go back to the Lido Deck.

Lady Gaga seems like she's just trying anything to stay relevant. Including singing with Metallica and crowd-surfing and subsequently giving the mosh pit the clap.

Nice to hear Sturgill Simpson play. I caught him on Austin City Limits late one night not long after his album came out and I kinda fell in love. Hope he takes top honors tonight. In a room full of tryhards, it's kinda nice just to see a man play. This kinda sounds like a singalong at the end of SNL, but still.

I enjoy the eclectic as much as anyone but a country artist with an R&B backing band.. Meh

I liked it.  I have never heard of this guy, and I liked the sound.  Plus I like to see country get some credit.

I call it her renaissance.  I enjoy her stuff but I thought ArtPop was TERRIBLE and the props and costumes really took over from her talent during that time.  I think doing the duet album with Tony Bennett was what she needed to do in order to get back into how good she can be.  She's certainly having fun doing music again.

Folks, consider it a blessing that this is CBS, so we are being spared Fallon and Timberlake pretending to be Gibb brothers.

I am the one person who would rather watch The Barry Gibb talk show.

I feel like I should like this performance more, but it is not working for me. Now they are adding Little Big Town and I loathe them.

BARRY FREAKIN' GIBB!!

I'll ignore that they got people who were years away from being born in performing the tribute just so I can say that.

Barry seemed to be enjoying the pretty ladies singing his/their songs.

Demi Lovato needs to learn to do more than open her mouth to Buick size and making noises. Good God she sounds like loud ass. She looked nice with the long, straight hair.

HEY TORI! Love you forever.

Andra Day looks like Rihanna's more talented older sister. Love her voice, but not for a Bee Gees tribute. Jesus. They couldn't get Robin Thicke, Maxwell, JT, or Mayer Hawthorne to do a real tribute? Instead they got a bunch of chicks who are kinda hit-or-miss on their own songs?
