I don't know, it almost sounds like concocting a ready-made hostage scheme to keep people trapped. It's one thing if people are doing it because it's their 'orientation' or relationship preference, quite another when someone is saying, unless you do such and such, you're not getting to heaven, and worse, people believe it. There is also something called 'unrighteous dominion' which can invalidate someone having that power, wiki that phrase if you care to understand it. Besides a mother/child bond, be it blood or close through raising etc, I believe is closer than all this pulling through the veil mythology.  Kody can wait eternally on his own planet and the women can start their own subdivisions or whatever. They have already paid their dues, he doesn't get to make them hostages in this life after he has failed. I believe the phrase is 'bye felicia' ..

The problem with religious beliefs is that they are changed to fit the consequences and almost always by men.  The Mormons elders (all men) cooked this up in the 19th century for a number of reasons and the whole heavenly planet crap was the threat.  Then suddenly in 1904 it was "oh, never mind".  

You'd think anyone with half a brain would look at the history and see the BS.  But that excludes the Brown Clowns since they don't have functioning brain between the 5 adults.

I know ya'll are bummed about Maddie not going to law school (even her slice of tv money ain't enough for that) but at least Caleb does not seem like a douchebag. When he asked her dad for her hand in marriage he seemed serious and sincere, not all creepy hehehe it's just us bro's, man....people made much of M/C's 8 year difference but I didn't think it was a huge deal. In fact, in many of the scenes filmed around that time, the kodster acts younger than Caleb.  I mean, just from what little we have seen on tv, he seems the polar opposite of kody, and I bet he is not going to pull that 'oh hell no, ah don' do diapers, that's beyond mah pay grade' nonsense.  Who knows if the law school thing will pan out or not- but point is that at least she has someone who appears to love and care for her, and will be an involved, hands-on father, so at some point if she wanted to go back to school or whatever, they would work as a team so they both were able to do things, get breaks, make sure the kiddo is taken care of.. I'm wondering if this means we will see a 'we're moving back onto the compound' episode or if she doesn't want to go the route of 'communal baby-raising'- having built-in help seems invaluable, especially during the first few months, but not sure if Maddie would want that, even if some of the moms were up for it.

Maddie announcing she is pregnant. Isn't her sister about to get married as well? I would like to know if Mykelti is pissed that Maddie is taking some of the attention off her wedding. LOL. reminds me of the Duggar girls. I guess the good thing about Maddie's marriage is that she has the father of her child all to herself and the child will most probably grow up in a normal environment. Now the grandmother thing will probably drive the poor child nuts (I wouldn't even include Robyn as being a grandmother to the child since Robyn wasn't there the majority of Maddie's life. But I bet the Queen B is going to make that child all about her or complain to Kody that she isn't being included/loved).

I truly hope Maddie has her baby in a hospital and not on camera.

Not to argue the point but we have seen a few minutes of carefully edited material about this guy.  We really don't know a thing about him and to extrapolate a full loving, supportive personality from some selected moments is a bit of a stretch.  For all we know the editors deliberately picked moments that were a juxtaposition from Kody's actions just to make Kody look worse (if that is possible).  Caleb could be a saint or a sinner but we can't know from what little we have seen of him.

I am not so sure. She didn't have to show off her wedding pictures or announce her pregnancy on Twitter and in a mag if she wanted to avoid fame.  So either she is doing it because of money, fame, or both. As an adult she could have told Kody and her moms she no longer wanted to be part of their TLC show  and that her life from the time she hit 18 years old was her own and she prefer her privacy.

I believe Maddie is in school. On her Twitter a month or so ago she was talking about how she enjoyed her accounting class a lot. I have no idea what she is majoring in. It will be harder to be in school and having a baby, but who knows.

Yep, kinda lost a bit of respect for Maddie but I guess the money and the gifts she's most likely getting from fans were too good to pass up.

I can't get over 400 guests.  How the hell do they know 400 people to invite to a wedding?  Unless, as someone upthread pointed out, they invited anyone who ever "friended" them on FB or Twitter.

I'm in my late 60's and worked for 50 years and in all of that time I NEVER knew 400 people that I would invite to a wedding.

Good grief, couldn't he have at least combed his hair?  I guess his outfit fits into the plethora of wedding colors - maroon, silver, teal and yellow with red, white, and silver flowers.  Quite the color scheme.

Who has an outdoor wedding in the middle of December?  Who GOES to an outdoor wedding in the middle of December?  400 people?  Was this like a duggar wedding with the reception in the parking lot?  A country club wedding must have cost a fortune.

Since discussions about eyebrows figure so prominently in the Brown family, I can only say that it might have been better if Mykelti had dipped into that honeymoon money and had a professional touch up her brows. Having said that, her dress looks pretty and she has beautiful skin.
