There is no good answer because either way it will involve way too much Abigail. Either she'll be having weird sex with Chad because they are together or trying to get in his pants since he's in a relationship with Melanie.

 

According to MB's recent interview (link found in spoiler section),

Melanie is pretty much done with Chad, so I don't see them getting back together anytime soon.

  However, Chad openly pining for Melanie could be enough to pique Abifail's interest.

Plus, I like the sparring potential with Mar Lena and Anne. Work related and without fighting over a man... shame soaps only have women spar over a man .

Worming.  Worming is better.  I still want a screen shot of her stupid helping hands card.  I thought she specialised in handing out other people's cards.  She is unqualified based on her life.  She only gave her granddaughter 5 min and had ti be talked into it twice.

I think JJ is a good character who is trying to separate himself from his obnoxious family. I love it that he's been putting boundries between Abs and Jenn and Mags and Eve.  A young man who knows he could have a great future with Paige if they would be left alone.  He'd follow her to Stanford and make a great life.

Uh Dingy if Asscole doesn't want' to go back to your place. Then she doesn't want to go. I see how Dingy gets women to bed, he practically tells them they're going back to his place, no ifs, and, or but about it. They're klutzy behavior when around each other is just so damn lame and cliche for soaps. Dingy must feel the need to tell all of Salem his business. First Meddling Naggie about Judgy Jenn and now Eric about Nicole, he's so irritating and grating.

 

See how RoboMar and Dentures R Us are with Eric, they're more supportive and smiling and giggling around him and around Sami they're always judging and frowning and just not pleasant people when around her.

 

I'm really hoping Melanie's comeback isn't stupid, since she's having a bag full of cash with her. Reminding me of Grimace stealing Clyde's "money" or Adriana having bag full of money on Y&R. Meddling Maggot keeping a secret LMAO.

For someone that's trying to keep his Co-CEO status under wraps, Chad is pretty lousy at it.

I actually watched some of Friday's episode; chiefly the scenes for Victor and Sonny. I laughed at how Pop-Up Victor really did almost pop up at the bar of Club TBD. One second he wasn't there, and Sonny turns around and there he is! I think Pop-Up Victor must have really hit a nerve about Sonny's marriage, based on how surly Sonny became about Uncle Vic's "usual lectures"  -- which is the first I've heard of them from Sonny. I actually think Victor stirred the pot between Sonny and Chad deliberately; he really hates the Dimeras that much. I don't think Sonny would be legally entitled to know that his business partner has partners in other businesses, unless a potential conflict of interest arises; but as a friend, Sonny might expect to know about a big change in Chad's life that might change how much time he can devote to working with Sonny in Club Plot Device. But since Chad's onscreen commitment to the club is essentially nil, I'm not sure what Sonny's worrying about.

 

I don't know if being co-CEO is an actual thing in business, but I suspect, even if it is, it's not something that Kate could just accomplish with a "because I said so, that's how." If I were a member of the board of Dimera Enterprises, I'd have pulled my investment and put it in soybean futures already. How many takeovers, transitions and reorganizations has that nutsy conglomerate had in the last six months? Sami was put in place by Stefano, then Elvis was running it, then Krazy took over; then Sami and Kate staged their hostile takeover (which seemed to require a face-to-face confrontation with the board) and pushed out the CEO and the President, one of whom was in jail and the other can't enter the country without going to prison! Now the former CEO is dead, and Kate's co-whatever is on the other coast; pretty sure Kate can't just name a new co-whatever without notice to the board or anyone. But maybe now that Chad is the ranking Dimera, he can afford some dress shirts that fit.

 

I can't with Eve and Jennifer and JJ. And Jordan is still just about as exciting as watching mud dry.

Well I don't see what's so bad about Chad telling Sonny if that nobody Jordan gets to know, but does anyone know how Victor found out in the first place. I for one can foresee Sonny getting more stressed as Chad focuses on DE and I know T is reliable but Ben seems as workshy as Abby.

I am loving the possibility of Kiriakis vs. DiMera as I've always preferred the K-family. It's made even more juicy by Kate being Will's grandma and a former Kiriakis herself. Here's hoping that along with a Sonny-centric story, Adrienne and Justin get more airtime now that Will's family is the minority.

I just hope that Paul doesn't turn out to be Lucas's kid from a trip to Asia. Otherwise I think Sonny knows Paul and will get into financial trouble.

Eric's apartment is EJ's. The one that was across the hall from the one he gave Sami to live in when she was homeless after she broke up with Rafe. So Eric should be living across the hall from Theresa since she ended up with the Sami apartment set.

I stopped watching in the Willow the hooker days, whIch I think happened after Belle and Shawn jumped off a cruise ship with a baby. The only good thing I remember from that era was RoboJohn. RoboJohn was *awesome*. Sorry, I digress. My point is, I stopped watching before we found out that, if I've got this right, Dan was Maggie's son somehow? Have I got that right? And Melanie was revealed to be Dan's daughter? I'm very confused. Help?

Nick was infatuated with Melanie while he was doing drugs, and he kidnapped her and killed her step-father (who was an abuser), and that's why Nick was in jail, and one of the reasons Melanie left town, when Nick got out of jail.  She has been involved with Nathan, Philip, and Chad (anybody else?)  I know she was pregnant with Philip's baby, but with Nathan, when she lost the baby.

 

Nick was killed by Gabi because he went crazy again and tried to control her and Ari. Maggie's eggs were stolen and Daniel is the result.  Melanie is the result of a one night stand between Daniel and Carly.

Carly Manning (Melanie's biological mother) was married to Laurence Alamain, who went crazy and became abusive and controlling.  She met Dan at a medical conference and they had a brief affair that resulted in Melanie.  Laurence suspected that the baby wasn't his so he forced Carly to put Melanie up for adoption.  She ended up being adopted by Trent Robbins (Max Brady's biological father).  It later came out that Maggie served as the unknowing egg donor for Daniel's parents, and was thus his biological mother.  Victor, who was good friends with Daniel's parents (and eventually became Daniel's godfather) stole one of Maggie's eggs.

I do like Nicole and I'm happy that they've pulled her back from the Eric mess.  Her neediness in that sorry excuse for a storyline was making her unwatchable.  I wish she was with someone other than Dan, but......nope, no good answer for that.  I've read that AZ and SC are a couple in real life.  It must feel funny for them to be a "couple" on screen as well.

 

I was doing my best to not hate Jenn today when she was talking to JJ, but that didn't last very long.  When she told JJ that Jack had turned his life around after what he did to Kayla, and then Jenn chimed "Just like YOU did, JJ!" - that was it.  Jack RAPED a woman - JJ broke a window.  Not exactly the same thing, oh Mother-of-the-Year.

JJ needs to take a break from ALL of the women in his life.

 

I was also sort of enjoying - or trying to enjoy - Maggie and Melanie and it mostly worked.  Maggie's fluttery, bosom-heaving, always-on-the-verge-of-tears behavior is a bit much, (to put it mildly), but I do like the easy rapport these two have with each other.  Melanie seems....older....and I mean that in a good way.  If she treats Abigail like the scab on the ass of the world that she is, then Melanie will be okay with me.  If she joins in the chorus.....not so much.

 

Too bad Show decided to make Clyde into a rapist, because I do enjoy the guy's obvious ability to act.  But there's no coming back from a past like that IMO.  

 

Chad has rapidly become one of my top favorites.  The guy can act, and the character has some layers.  More, please!

WTF is going on with wardrobe lately?  Half the cast is walking around in summer wear (esp. JJ in the wifebeater to show off his pumped bod) and the other is walking around in what you would expect for this time of year.  Maybe it's warmer in one side of Salem vs the other?  And looks like somebody got over zealous with the spray tan again - Chad looked like an oompa loompa today, with several others not far behind.  I was beginning to think my tv needs adjusting, until Sonny looked fine.  SMH

Ugh, looks like JJ has the same flashback problem as Abby. Who did they inherit this problem from? I don't remember either Jack or Jennifer having minds that operated like movie reels of sex.

There are two positives to Nicole being with Daniel: she makes him less obnoxious and he's not one of Sami's cast offs. He's not really Jennifer's anymore, either, so for the first time in a long, long time, someone is interested in Nicole simply because he's interested in Nicole. Not a rebound, no ulterior motives, just two folks that like each other.
(Eric doesn't count, because he played it like Nicole was more of a consolation prize when he couldn't have God.)

Abigail has done something strange to me because she's actually managed to make me happy to see Melanie. Abigail has made everyone else on this show who is youngish  and female seem so much less annoying by comparison.  (At some point, I'm pretty sure I hated Melanie).

Yeah, I think Nicole and Rafe would work (it's not like Sami is around now to really be a mental block for Rafe, though I didn't think she was one for him and Jordan either). I probably prefer Rafe because he bathes. Nicole clearly puts some effort in how clean she looks -- why not put her with a man that places the same emphasis on hygiene?

 

I don't think Daniel really works with anyone -- not sure if that's because of the writing for his character or simply because of the way he looks. None of the other male characters have good writing, and they're all capable of being jerks when the time is right (or not right), but I can still stand them in their pairings and in love scenes. The actor seems nice enough of as himself in interviews, but I still don't like the way he looks (which seems to be the result of over-the-hill surfer metro-sexual styling rather than how he was actually born).

Judgy Jenn is always saying some stupid shit, that's why when she gets all threatening or on her high horse, people should just straight up laugh at her sorry ass. Bitch is comparing apples to oranges, but I guess it's apples to apples in Holy Horton Land. I don't know why writers are writing all the women in JJ's life to be straight up bitches and shrews. He really needs to talk to Lucas, Sonny, or even T. JJ needs more male companions to interact with so I can enjoy JJ more cause I can't enjoy the character lately mostly because of the people he's sharing scenes with.

 

Why is Meddling Naggie always on the verge of tears when she's talking to someone?? I just don't understand, she really needs to turn off the water works. If a normal conversation almost causes her to cry, can you imagine how she'll cry when something bad happens, she'll cause a damn flood.

 

I agree Clyde just doesn't do it for me anymore since writers want to make him a rapist. Plus they always wanna make people from the south sound like long lost cousins from Deliverance.

I can understand JJ wearing a wifebeater in the house, as the heater may have been on in the house, plus working out so it kind of makes sense as to why he wasn't wearing a sweater or jacket in the house.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that notices the flashbacks that have become too prevalent in Days. It's really annoying and I'm sure Eve will have more flashbacks of that night, Theresa is gonna keep having flashbacks of what happened to her that night. Oh the wonders of crappy storytelling so they rely on flashbacks to carry them.

Just wanted to add to the history is that the weird thing about the Maggie, Daniel, Melanie family is that Maggie and Melanie were the ones who had a bond before they were related.  Maggie was sort of Melanie's surrogate Mother/grandmother.  It seems like TPTB only made Daniel Maggie's son so they could make Maggie and Melanie related.  Before the reveal Maggie and Daniel weren't even in each other's orbit outside of Maggie marrying Victor.  Then Melanie left and we were stuck with Maggie now being this meddling overprotective mother to her middle aged son, when the real sweet, caring relationship was between Melanie and Maggie to begin with.

The only thing I liked about this episode was Kate going to RoboMar to express concern about Will and Sonny. I do prefer Melanie to Abby now, but I didn't like her talking down too AssCole with that Horton-propping. Nicole belongs with Eric anyway.

And I'm going to echo Shadow and say that Abby doesn't deserve a HEA just yet after all the home wrecking. She's hardly a catch when she should have been a town pariah. But then he is an overtweezed hillbilly with anger issues so I suppose water finds it's own level.

Chad would get more brownies from me if he acted like he was too posh for Abby now. Before she was a Horton Princess, now she's hardly wife of the CEO material. Then again, EJ was head over heels for Sami, who as much as I liked her at one time, used to stomp and screech and behave in an unladylike manner most of the time.

I can so see Abby being seduced by Chad's money and power. Who would you rather date, the master or the peasant? It's like when Sami knew that life would be easier with EJ than trying to make it on Rafe's cop salary. It was never explicitly stated,but during the plaid Rafe years Sami would be shown worrying about money.

Paul is just waiting for Sonny to walk through the door. Can't wait for tomorrow.

That made no damn sense but what else is new with this moron? It slays me how he treats his bosses. Blew my mind when he acted all put out and complained that the new club was out of his way and would cost him quality time with Jar Jar Binks. Then there's the back talking and random violence and public displays of affection with his hag of a gf when he should be wiping counters or folding napkins. It really does get on my nerves in a stupidly personal way since I'm an overachiever and stickler in my career and also know there's lots of people, some viewers, who are decent and struggling for work.

I can't decide if I like AssCole's Peter Pan do or not. She does have nice abs. Her budding romance with Unwashed Hippie probably is FF time or when I'm going to get coffee during Days. BO-Ring! A woman with no dignity and a saint? Yea Jen might get pissed but it only will lead to more humiliation for AssCole when he ditches her for her and that is nothing new.

I totally think that the wardrobe people secretly hate Abifail - otherwise why would they continue to put her in those god awful outfits?    Especially when they dress her mother in beautiful clothes (most of the time).

 

And I do wish Chad had knocked Bollie's teeth out - there is no way any employer would let an employee talk to him they way BOllie does & not get fired.

 

I actually hated Melanie when she first came on the show (especially when she was with Phillip) - but she actually grew on me by the end of her run & I'm actually happy to see her again - especially if she eats into Abifail's airtime.    Looking forward to her convo today with Chad (and I'm still hoping she saves him from Abifail)

Ugh, Melanie. When she's not doing those cutesy faces, I think MB can act okay. But I can't get past that cutesy little girl shtick of hers; not that she gives me the opportunity to since she does it all the damned time. I'm already rooting for Gabi to make a prison break and finish her off.

OMG, Shesajar, you started my day off with such a laugh with this GREAT post!  Thanks for articulating what bugged me about Melanie yesterday - yup, she IS Maggie's granddaughter, the resemblance is uncanny.

Ben is angry all the time, but I have no idea why. I guess I could understand getting upset about EJ since Abigail was fantasizing about him when she and Ben were making out, but his animosity towards Chad makes no sense really at the present time. I don't think Abigail has ever flash-backed to Chad sex. Don't worry, Ben, he's not that good according to Abigail! Maybe you aren't either since I don't think she's flashbacked back to your sex ways either. Be angry about that, but not at Chad.

Check Abifail with the nod to showersex when she told Ben that if she joined him in the shower he would never leave. I suppose it's where she does her best work. I still have PTSD from the flashbacks.

I was reading another blog that said all Ben and Abby do is rut like pigs. So true.

Paul and Sonny were hot. Sneasel has his work cut out I can tell you. And Sonny kissed back-you can tell there is history there.
