Is it law that Kate Mansi be on every fucking day?  I am so sick of Abigail.  If it's not her weird, smug face then it's her nastiness and hypocrisy.  And if they waste smokin' hot Chad on her then I'll be pretty damn angry.  They did so right by casting Billy Flynn, and they'll just blow it all to hell if they pair him with her.  Abby and Ben need to go away.  Or die.  Whatever.

I'm very glad the Melanie skulking around story came to a quick resolution.  If this was GH, it would have either A) dragged on for months and months, or B) been dropped completely and then concluded several weeks later on the head writer's twitter account.  Now they need to make Melanie and Theresa friends, because Theresa needs one and it might mean less screen time devoted to the insufferable Abigail.

It's so nice to have Melissa Archer back on screen.  I'm looking forward to her and GV together.

Sonny is so much more interesting without Will.

There was a scene recently (don't remember when) of Chad talking to Stefano about manipulating Jordan for some reason.  My memory sucks and I was busy at the time, but think it had something to do with Clyde?

I think it was last week that Chad was on the phone with Stefano talking about manipulating Jordan, but like you I missed why. ;)

And definite ditto on Melissa Archer. I don't see much happening with Serena and Eric long term, but a few flashback scenes to sexy times would be nice. IMO Ericole is still the root-worthy couple, but I guess a little angst in the forms of Daniel and Serena is supposed to be fun?

Sami's character also continues to be destroyed. There's no way in hell she would want Eric to have a reality show done. What reality show would want to do a story about rape? Sami knows that Eric is a private person so no way in hell would she tell him about a reality show. RoboMar thinks that it would be good for Eric to do it. WTF?? RoboMar is she for real? How is Eric continuously talking about and reliving the rape and all the events after that is suppose to help him move on?

And yes, we must see KM every day. How else is she supposed to maintain that hefty episode count? Even today, we had Abby speaking to Paul about his someone special. That could have been Theresa, but her royal boniness and he plastic boyfriend must be everywhere.

I'm starting to think the problem with this character is Kate Mansi as much as it is the writing.  Although the writing just sucks.  We've got this hypocritical, prissy, stuck-up, sneering narcissist constantly getting into other people's business, constantly vocally judging even when she barely knows the people involved and constantly telling people what to do - and Show somehow thinks we'll find this to an endearing, rootable character??  ON WHAT PLANET?  More to the point, ON WHAT SOAP?

On any other show AND this one, at any time in the past, this kind of character would been a person everyone else hid from, everyone talked about, and the good folks would struggle to say nice things about until even they broke down and told this buttinsky where to get off.  NEVER would a character like this have been the hero.  Maybe - just maybe - if Show had an actress would could deliver her lines without them always sounding sarcastic and snotty, it's possible that we might hear what she says as concern instead of idiotic judgement.

Whatever.  All I wish is that someone, in the middle of one of her rants/putdowns, would just grab her by the neckline, give her bums rush into the nearest ladies room and give her a nuclear swirly.  Rinse and repeat.

Melissa Archer today was a really, really pleasant surprise.  I grew tired of her character on OLTL towards the end and it colored my feeling about the actor.  But I take it all back.  I very much enjoyed her measured, thoughtful, reserved performance today.  She looks fantastic, I think, and she might be just what Eric needs to kick him into gear.  And although I had hoped she'd be Sarah Horton, right now I'm really glad she's not.  She's not tied down by previous expectations or relationships and hopefully the writers will not automatically force her into the Adoration Choir for Daniel and Abigail.  Let her turn the heat up on Eric.

I may be in the minority but I really liked virtually all of today's show - Abigail excepted, of course.  (If and when she's hit by a speeding bus, falls down a well, is harvested for body parts and buried alive, then I'll enjoy her storylines.  Till then, not so much).

I liked Melanie's card sharking storyline and I especially liked that it was over like a shot.  I enjoyed the new and improved grown-up Brady, I loved Nicole and her wise-ass snark, liked Mel taking a backseat while the story line resolved and today I was resigned to Dirty Dan.  At least he didn't win the day.  For once, Nicole did.  About time.  I don't know about Dan and Nicole as a couple, and I think Show might be pursuing that because they're a couple in real life.  But since I'm immune to Dan's dubious charms I'll never be enthralled by that.  I'll settle for Nicole not always being a loser and always losing.

I KNOW I'm in the minority on the Paul/Sonny story line, but so far I like it.  About a million years ago when I still had hair and all my teeth, when the planet was still cooling and dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was in a situation vaguely similar to where Sonny is now.  I think that Sonny really wasn't as aware of his buried feelings, feelings that might have stayed buried if Paul hadn't popped back up, and especially if Paul wasn't still interested.  Combine that with Sneasel telling him before he left for Hollywood that what they had wasn't enough has left Sonny more vulnerable than he both realizes and wants to admit.  Sonny is the grown-up in the relationship and everyone - including him - expects him to be above it all.  I think he's more hurt by Will's absence than he will admit, more than he thinks he should be, and then all of a sudden this guy from his past who meant the world to him at one time reappears.

We'd all like to think we'd behave - and think and feel - in the most mature ways at times of stress - but sometimes we don't.  That edge is closer than we think.

And wonder of wonders, I loved Adrienne today too.  So far I think her concern is genuine and it's not about her agenda for her kid, as it sometimes was before with Will.  She'll probably move into overbearing pretty fast - this IS Adrienne, after all.  But right now, she's okay.

And this just hit me.  What real difference is there between aspects of Abigail and the bad aspects of Adrienne?  Both interfere, both give unwanted advice, both have their heads up their asses, but with Adrienne we're supposed to groan at her ineptness.  With Abigail, we're supposed to think she's just SUUUUUUPER.

Now I want to see Abigail walk in on Aunt Adrienne and Ollie the Lego Lad.  That should make Jar Jar's bun explode.

(And I see she raided Great-Grandma Alice's closet for her work clothes again today).

Apparently. KM must have the best contract in daytime since she seems to have 9 episodes/week minimums. What is she doing to get these insane episode counts?

Boes, I loved the part of your post about Sonny and Paul, you've outlined exactly what could make this storyline compelling.

For me, Sonny and Paul are like wanting to watch the train wreck, but being too scared of seeing it happen. Sometimes, having feelings for people that aren't returned in some way can be really messy and it's the wondering 'what if' that makes it so dangerous, especially when one is in a real relationship like Sonny is now.

My concern is coming from the POV that Sonny is going to wake up one day and feel like a fool for giving up something real cos he was stuck in the past (even if he can't help it right now).

It's not fair to Will if he's walking around with feelings for Paul, but at the same time, it's such a risk to explore them.

Also, what I don't like is that the writers are portraying Paul and Sonny's relationship as so simple except for the coming out obstacle, while Sonny and Will have fought like cat and dog over pretty much everything lately. Yes Paul and Sonny loved each other and did the best that they could, but they've never even had a real relationship because of Paul. Yes, the feelings are 'real',but they just spend the majority of their time together in bed according to me.

Sonny hasn't even met Paul's family so we have no idea if Adrienne and this new woman would clash like she and Sami did. It's all fine and well when you don't have to live with the person and pay bills (although in guess that the fact that Paul is mega-rich helps).

Let's hope Sonny realizes what made him fall in love with Will as well so we can watch an authentic triangle. Although, I'm not holding my breath for Sonny since I've been waiting for three years for him to tell me what it is about Will that attracted him in the first place. Dude couldn't even chalk up much at his own wedding and tells Paul that he met 'a great guy.' Big endorsement right there people. Maybe Will and Sonny's relationship is not that much better than what Sonny and Paul have got.

And I know I'm going far into the future, but I don't think I would have the energy to start a relationship with Paul if I was Sonny. Too much energy waiting for him to get up the courage to go to dinner and a movie with me, cos as much as he says he always wanted to do those things with me we're still talking about a guy who is still so deep in the closet.

I do hope that Will doesn't cause Paul to lose his career by outing him. Being someone's whole reason for giving up or losing something they love is a dangerous place to be in any relationship.

This whole thing gives me the heebies cos it hits too close to home.

True, but Will doesn't really give him much to go on. The  "great guy" description is even stretching it. I'm okay with Sonny not verbalizing why he loves Will, because his actions up until just now have shown us that he does, but I'm not okay with the show not giving us any reasons either.

I loved Nicole - she was hilarious & a much needed breath of fresh air.    And the lame counting cards story was stupid - but at least it's over quickly.

I'm with Adrienne on the Paul thing - Sonny's definitely going to regret not telling Will about Paul.   I don't know if I like Paul but I am at least enjoying the story so far.

Ugh why must Abifail be on every day?    Can't we have at least a small reprieve from her?

I do like Chad & Jordan so I'm not happy if he indeed is just using her (especially if it's to get back with Abifail who I want to see far far away from Chad - please show don't waste the wonderfulness of Chad with that drip)

I do like Serena so far but not sure if I want her with Eric (who needs to STFU).

It's so nice to have Melissa Archer back on screen.  I'm looking forward to her and GV together.

I didn't always like what One Life To Live did with the Natalie character, but I always found Archer appealing. Is it possible that Vaughn might wake out of his perpetual torpor? He seemed pretty engaged when Father Uncle Eric spied Serena walking in the Brady Pub. The idea of casting someone with whom Vaughn has noticeable chemistry is freaking me out a little bit.

The Sonny/Paul storyline might have worked better if Sonny weren't already married -- or weren't still a newlywed. As it is, I have trouble with Adrienne's assumption that Paul's effect on Sonny must be so devastating that he's now in emotional danger.  (For Paul to assume that he's the one that got away is one thing; for Adrienne to think so too is just a little bizarre.) Uh, I think that getting married is pretty much the definition of "moved on." Adrienne either believes that her son's marriage is not that much of a barrier to cheating, or Sonny's just too vulnerable to live. I wish Justin were around. (I still like the way Evans and Smith play their mother-son scenes, mostly.) And it's clear that Sonny needs to tell Will about Paul sooner rather than later. It won't happen that way, of course.

I think I'm finding Christopher Sean more convincing when Paul's "pretending" to be into the ladies than when he's with Sonny. I dunno -- Paul's kind of whiny. (I freely admit that in the scenes where Sonny talked to Paul about falling in love with Will, I pictured (Old)Will and not Won't. I'm not sorry.)

Well if Corday and Co., every wanted to get into the reality show biz .....it sounds right up his usual alley.

Is it law that Kate Mansi be on every fucking day?

The show has no strong leading lady and they are trying to make her and Abby happen by putting her on every single damn day. If I have to watch one more damn episode of Abby and Ben rolling around on those crusty gray sheets I'm gonna scream. Seriously, has that linen been shown to change every since Abby 1st clutched them in ecstasy lo' those many weeks ago? They could probably stand up on their own and recite a few lines. I really hope they don't waste Chad on her but I fear that is what is coming and has been since he was cast.

I keep thinking Abigail is going into think Paul is into her, only to find out...

She talks to Paul in a way that makes it seem as though she's interested in him, but then she also does that with Daniel.

Abby would never be allowed to embarrass herself that way. That would be Theresa. LOL!

This show is also missing a leading male and moral center/matriarch.

At first, I was like 'that's it!" in relation to the Melanie big secret. She is a freaking card counter. That is the extent of it! However, upon reflection, I am just glad that it is over. Glad that she doesn't have Chad's secret love child stashed away somewhere or some weird man having her stalked or whatever. At the end of the day, Brady got knocked the f*&^ out and Nicole got to save the day. I'm happy with those 2 things. Now we can get on with the business of getting on.  I had to kinda laugh because when dark and curly and her goon showed the pic of Mel in disguise at the casino, I could barely see her face but damn even with that poor picture quality did I recognize those teeth.

I'm meh about Hope and Aidan but I am kinda liking the mystery shrouding the death of his wealthy wife.  Is he a murdering gold digger or a nice great guy with a bitch of a wife who killed herself? It is a bit of a slow burn. I like that it could go either way. For instance, if Hope and Aidan are end game and there is no hope of the actor that plays Bo ever coming back, Aidan can look suspicious for a time and than be cleared. If Bo does come back, tweak the story, have new info come out that paints Aidan as a Klaus Van Bulow type and bam, back to Bo and Hope. Although, you know the show is short-sighted as shit and always fails to use history so I wouldn't be surprised if Bo came back and the story became that Aidan puts on clown costumes during his off time and rapes people in the park.

What is up with Aidan's son friend? Is that not Theo? Why do they call him Owen? Who is this 'mom' that is picking him up? Lexie is dead. Did Abe remarry? What did I miss?

I am not minding the Sonny/Paul story. Just fearful of the avalanche of stupid that is soon to be coming my way.

Have to get something off my chest that has been bugging me since the Sami/Kate merger of marvelousness, but the idea of co-CEOs is so fucking stupid and so very rarely if ever done that is is laughable to see so much of it on Days. Sure it isn't as bad as miracle coma cures but damn it bugs because it is the realm in which I work. Also, the board of directors chooses officers of the company. Kate couldn't just appoint Chad co-CEO. Why have 2 people of equal power run the corp? What if they disagree? Then they have to run to the fucking board to break the tie and make a decision, which is a waste of everyone's valuable time because the CEO was elected to run the day to stuff not involve the board in peddling BS. That is why that is not done.

Oh Lifetime where every soap actor goes when Hollywood basically wants nothing to do with them. Soap actors for the most part will only get work hosting shows (Alison Sweeney), Lifetime Movies (Camila Banus, Michelle Stafford, Alexandra Shipp, Christian Leblanc), Hallmark Channel (Sharon Case, Adrienne Frantz), Prime time shows (top of the totem pole for soap actors - Michael Graziadei, Billy Miller, Michael Muhney, Thad Luckinbill) or voice acting (Christel Khalil). Eric Braeden was in Titanic but does anyone really remember him in that film?

I remember Christel Khalil thought she was gonna make it big when she left Y&R, came crawling back to Y&R in just a few short months.

I gotta say I see James Scott coming back in a couple of years. I just hope Sweeney stays away. I couldn't and wouldn't stick around for Ejami version 2,002 Electric Boogaloo with clone EJ. Just no!!! No ma'am.

Abby has always exuded this sexual chemistry with Daniel which made me hope that they would go there with Dan and Abby and Jen rather than EJ and Sami. Jack also jumped Laura's bones and Addie/Doug/Julie is a show legacy, so it's totally par for the course with the Hortons. Kate Mansi even said in an interview once that TPTB told her to tone it down with SC.

Someone on another board suggested that Abby and Paul bond and that she be the first to find out about Paul and Sonny. I don't think I could handle that cos it would just be shoehorning Abby where she is not needed just for the sake of KM's episode count.

Anyway, the show doesn't have long try and make Abby/KM happen. My money is on her ditching Days when her contract ends.

I wouldn't be surprised if KM leave the show for other things, but I'd also be surprised if she gets hired anywhere else other than a soap. Not because she's a Days' actor, but because.....something about her bugs, but I can't quite put my finger on why (is it because there are only so many photos of her on Instagram I can handle?? I know its my fault, not hers, for wandering around those parts when I'm bored.). She'll probably wind up on GH. Their audience might like her better. They seem to like most of Days' cast-offs.

I wouldn't like her any more over there than I do here on Days.  There are already enough Y&R and OLTL cast offs cluttering up the cast anyway, in addition to barnacles like Maurice Bernard and Tony Geary.

If KM left Days then I would rejoice.  She's horrible.  And if they didn't recast (as there is absolutely no need for Abigail) then I'd rejoice some more.

Sami’s getting the Bo, Steve, and Jack treatment.  Not only, would Sami not have suggested this to Eric, Sami would have killed Kristen when she returned to Salem.  Bo, Rafe, Hope, Roman, and Abe were bending over backwards to protect Sami when she shot EJ.  If Sami had killed Kristen for what she did to Eric, they would have been doing back flips to protect her.  It’s not like Sami has a problem shooting people.

Sami’s character was watered down before she ever left Salem to have her reunite with EJ when what would have been more believable was Sami stomping EJ and the boring twit into the ground.

KM is dating one of the writers.

I still don’t like Will.  However, if Sonny cheats with his closeted ex and it’s also revealed Sonny is only with Will because Will was willing to come out when Paul wasn’t, that really ruins Sonny’s character.  Although I have been wondering WHY Sonny was with Will myself, and willing to put up with so much of Will’s crap.

Too much would have to be rewritten for me to turn on Sonny, at least in regards to his relationship with Will. Obviously, Paul's refusal to come out is what ended their relationship, and if Will didn't come out, that one would be over as well. However, Sonny's done way too much for Will for me to believe that he's only it it because Will was willing to be out; or, if that is the reason, I believe that it's not something that even Sonny is aware of. And you know, if it is, I think the show is doing a decent job (through Adrienne, of all people) of setting that reveal up. I might feel differently if Will had put in even a fraction of the effort that Sonny has into their relationship. Even if he has deluded himself into "settling" for Will, my sympathies lean more towards Sonny.

Any other Soap Opera Digest readers notice that the Days write-ups sometimes are a little off? Minor plot points, but for instance, in the 12/15 issue, the write-up about Brady and Melanie states that Melanie hears Theresa's name and gets upset, then Brady comes to her rescue and her big secret is revealed. Unless I missed a large part of the show yesterday, I don't believe Melanie realizes who Theresa is yet. There have been other small details that are a little different in the magazine than what actually happens, I've noticed them more over the last year or so.

I just wonder if these tiny discrepancies are because the show tapes so far in advance? Does SOD get plot points early, but then the show is edited and they change?

Well Chad is on my shit list for hoodwinking Sonny. I was surprised Victor declined to give Sonny the money. I hope it was because he wanted to point out the contract issue and not because he's not interested to help in general. He's basically going to be pushing Sonny towards Paul if he doesn't looking at the end of the show.

And when Will's marriage implodes will Chad even be there to comfort him? Way to double cross your friends. I guess Kate and Vic were right all along.

Vic was so anvilicious when he said that at least Will and Sonny weren't cheating. Sonny's dependence on Paul might start off financial, but it looks like it's gonna turn sexual. I like that Vic is so concerned about WilSon's marriage. Kate and Vic have both come to Mar expressing concern, and while she's right that they need to sort it out on their own, she could at least call Will a couple more times instead of repeatedly going to Paul's room. Helpimg the person that's gonna wreck your grandson's marriage is not your priority.

So Spencer Neville aka Derrick appeared today. Option 1: He sleeps with Paul and sells story to the magazine Will works for.

Option 2: His discretion is critical in concealing Sonny's affair with Paul and he's the one that eventually tells Will.

Option 3: Sonny observes Derrick and Paul and becomes jealous and has sex with Paul. Option 4: Derrick stirs the pot with Will and Sonny at Paul's request.

Victor mentioned Sonny wanting to impress Will with the expansion of the club. I don't think Will has ever pressured Sonny about his finances or the business. If anything, Will has been proud of Sonny for starting the club (when he's not calling him a glorified barista) and wants to contribute more himself.

I definitely think Sonny is going to tell Paul about his financial problems (rather than his husband) and Paul will offer to contribute. I hope Sonny is strong enough to say no. I am praying that Sonny doesn't have sex with Paul before Will gets back on Thursday. I don't why that matters to me, but it does, bearing in mind he could still sleep with him down the line.

I know she has no idea what the connection is, but realistically she is forcing her services onto Paul and it's actually bordering on being unprofessional. RoboMar can only actually do her job if someone signs up to be her patient. It's just ironic to me that she's so insistent bearing in mind the consequences Paul could have for the very relationship she was discussing with Victor earlier. Dramatic Irony if you will.

Goodness Naggie that outfit is pretty...loud and horrendous. Was that thing made out of curtains or did Naggie take the fabric off of a couch?

Brady must really be high because he's making stupid facial expressions yesterday and today.

Why is RoboMar so insistent on taking Paul as a patient? Does she want some type of notoriety or something? If a person isn't interested in talking to you, then leave it alone. If I was Paul I might have to get a restraining order or something. Sonny might have to do the same thing in regards to Paul.

Sonny made mistake #1 when receiving a contract. Always read the damn thing in FULL and don't think it's OK just because a friend or co-partner hands it to you. Sonny should know better. So we all know he's going to go to Paul for the money and that money might come with strings attached if it comes from Paul. There is Kate however, who I'm sure would be happy to lend him the money to help get one over on Chad.

STFU Abe, with your Dannifer pimping ass. Nicole isn't at fault for Dannifer's breakup. Dingy and Judgy are at fault for their own breakup. I don't like Nicole as much as the next person but even she doesn't deserve the blame for Dannifer's breakup. That couple was doomed from the start.  I can't stand these judgmental people in Salem. It's probably why I don't like a lot of characters on Days, they're too damn judgmental or just flat out boring.

Watch Toothy (Mel) get all on her high horse when it comes to Theresa. Looking forward to that one. RME.

For some reason I don't like when Chad and T are talking. It makes me think that Chad can fire T at any given moment. IDK why I get that feeling when these two talk.

It's totally contrived that Sonny would have to go to Paul for the money. Sonny would be too embarrassed to go to Vic and ask again, although I'm sure Vic would say yes if Sonny explained that he was in tight spot.

The other issue is that while it gives Paul an excuse to be around Sonny, it also creates an atmosphere where Sneasel and Paul spend time together, which I'm guessing Sonny doesn't want. I wonder how Sonny will explain Paul's investment to Will and the other characters, if he ever does tell them.

Poor Sonny is going to be piling lies upon lies. And Paul is so obvious, I suspect Sneasel will be able to pick up that he's thirsty for Sonny dumb as he may be.

Oh and I did not like Abe crapping all over AssCole when he's actually the closest thing she's got to family on this show.

Tad is a friend of Sonny's and Will, he went to high school with Will.  When Sonny came to town, he wanted to be best buds with him till he found out he was gay, and then turned homophobe, and got even worse when Will came out.  At one point he and Sonny punched each other out.  Eventually he came around, and was Will's best man at his wedding.  He works for Sonny at the Club.  He is also called T.

Serena was not on the show before, Melanie was, and yes, it was the same actress.

Chad was on as a teenager, but it was a different actor.  Sonny did not come on the show until three or so years ago.  He, along with all of his brothers, was just talked about (as Jackson), being one of Justin and Adrienne's kids till he actually showed up.  His brothers are just talked about, never seen.

I'm totally find with and support Chad screwing with Tamiflu and Abifail but why does he have to mess with Sonny? He never did anything to him.

Is Marlena desperate for money? Is the chip in her motherboard malfunctioning? I'm pretty sure it violates some kind of ethical code to harass someone who has repeatedly said they don't want your services. Paul needs to get a restraining order. It's pretty sad that she has more interest in a stranger than she does Sami.

If Paul is so desperate for Sonny why is he flirting with another guy.

Sonny has no reason to go to Paul for money, as has been pointed out, and many reasons not to go to him; whatever happened to "He's only in town for an operation"? What happened to "He's not in my life, just in Salem"? I happen to know that "Narita" is not Japanese for "contrivance," but the writers might as well have named this character "Contrivance Jones," for all that Sonny's behaviour is currently reflecting his established character.

This story makes about as much sense as Mel going back to the same casino once they made her as a card-counter. I mean, really: everything I know about Vegas I learned from Ocean's Eleven, but even I know you don't set foot in a joint once they're onto your card counting. Especially not wearing a wig that Kristen would have rejected as too campy for one of her sexcapades.

TeeVee, Justin is off canvas at the moment and I'm thinking Sonny wouldn't want Adrienne to know about the money problems too. Victor is the only one Sonny would probably feel comfortable asking for money since Lucas is Will's dad and Kate is business partners with Chad. Plus she also gave Sonny a warning about Chad being two-faced.

I can understand why Sonny would feel desperate and out of options. I don't understand why Victor would cut Sonny off once he knew the papers were signed. I can see how he would hope he would ditch the project, but now that he's locked in?

Oh and Left Phalange, I'm sure Paul didn't keep his hands to himself for three years while waiting for Sonny. I don't doubt that Sonny is the 'one that got away' for Paul, but we're not exactly dealing with Scarlett O' Hara and Ashley Wilkes.

That being said the hotel dude will probably prove to be Paul's undoing, leading to him being outed and therefore free for Sonny and finally therapy with Marlena.

As a last point, I must admit I felt really sorry for Sonny when he tried to call Will near the end. He sounded so lost.

Can't Sonny go to Kate? Kate has money or he could go to his father-in-law Lucas, even though Lucas might tell busybody Adrienne but he does have a few options before going to Paul. Hell he can even ask his mother-in-law Sami for the money. He can possibly go to miracle worker Dingy Hippie to get the money lol.

Or what about one of his brothers?  It'd have been a great excuse to bring one on canvas!

Me too. And not that it justifies cheating, but Sonny really must be feeling abandoned by Will.   How many DAYS days has Will been gone?  Has Will not contacted Sonny at all? If not, what will Will use for an excuse to not have been able to take a minute to at least send a text or email, just to say "I miss you" or "I love you".

Oh and then pull the 'Well, if you hadn't embarrassed me by arresting me, I wouldn't have come back!' reasoning for wrong-doing. Praise Odin that the drag queen enforcer didn't buy a second of that. "You're blaming us for you breaking the law?!"

Also, as a plus, we don't get any more shots of Melanie caressing gigantic stacks of money.

Does make me want to watch all the Oceans movies again, though.

The bizarre stink of 80s still hasn't lifted from Melanie for me. I remain weirdly transfixed by it despite her being rather annoying simply because I cannot figure out what it is about her that just screams We Love the 80's! at me.

Sneasel doesn't have a reason at all for not communicating with Sonny. When Sneasel called Sonny he harped on him for making him look like the bad guy to Lucas and Adrienne. There's no excuse for Sneasel not calling Sonny for a simple "hello", "I Love You", he's just being a selfish ass and selfishness continues by not getting in touch with Gabi over Ari. I hate Sneasel and NOT looking forward to his return.

Sonny can definitely go to Kate for money. Kate would break out her checkbook before Sonny even had a chance to sit down.  Kate adores Sonny. Not to mention the fact that most of Sonny's life Kate was his aunt.

I tried to be open-minded about Melanie because I suspect Days plans to give her as much airtime as she had last time, but I just don't see any change, growth or maturity in her. In fact, she seems to have digressed back to her original scheming, self- entitled, bratty ways. She and Theresa are naturally drawn to each other because they are very much alike, but notice how Maggie just glows with such unconditional and unreasonable adoration for Melanie like she's the most special snowflake ever created, and would never admit that her granddaughter is more like Theresa than the angel she believes her to be.

It's sickening.

I'm a long time viewer and I'm trying to find a reason to keep watching the show that I used to love. I hope tptb can find something or someone other then Abby-centric and Melanie-centric stories. I wish they could have written stories for the talented actresses they already had like Hope, Kayla, Nicole, Theresa, and Eve instead of spending money by bringing on new actors.

Well she does screw up her face a lot like Molly Ringwald in the John Hughes movies but she was a teen and Mel is way too old to be doing that with a baby voice.  At least she toned down the stage actress shout and actually has expressions on her face and some timing, unlike Guppy Face Failure.

I am also hugely relieved that the Bag O Money turned out to be a big nothing and Cher is off my screen.

I agree, or at least hope, Chad is messing with Jordan.  Wow, she took it great that he wouldn't sleep with her.  I remember that conversation with Stefano where he he asked if Chad was aware of Creepy Clyde and Chad seemed to agree it was a problem he wanted to fix.  Although he didn't know who Grimace was when he met her, it would be great if he's using her to get to Clyde.  Thank goodness she's leaving.

So disappointed the Sneasel is coming back four months early.  At least we didn't have to see him having an affair.  Unfortunately he'll be stewing about it for months before a reveal.

I don't blame Sonny for not telling Will.  The only conversation we've seen is Will just saying he's too busy and basically hanging up on Sonny.  I thought the three day thing was pretty stupid.  He hasn't talked to you in three days?  BFD.

Right? This whole abortive storyline is just too ridiculous -- and considering this is a show that thought it was a good idea to have Marlena take Victor's advice about playing a (porno) video in church, I think that's saying something. It's not like Cher and Rocco actually cared about whether the law was broken, either. They just wanted their money. And yet it's all wrapped up nice and tidy in a week; maybe a couple of days as Days reckons these things (which I can never keep straight).

Not that I think Sonny would get a pass for cheating, but the show hasn't made the case that Won't is so busy (BECAUSE HOLLYWOOD) that he couldn't send a quick text, or brief voicemail to say "I love you, you big Jackson-doofus" (I mean, Twitter exists and even "ILU" is a thing in the world) and, God knows, Guy Wilson doesn't really distinguish between "torn" and "ticked."

So, yeah -- I'm pretending Sonny's married to Old Will, and that Narita is just the airport Sonny flew out of leaving Japan. Lalalala.

Oh, and hotel dude is probably how the Sneaselington Post gets the story, too; just slower and with more stupid.

Really liking the Eric and Serena interaction. MA can probably make me finally interested in watching Eric on screen. These two have great chemistry together.
