20 minutes in, completely Team Sai. She's clear & direct when others are a bit wishy washy. Plus, bonus points for coming right out & asking Brynn about her "career".

Interesting that Brynn did not answer the career question directly (rather, she gave a snarky snap-back), and no one else pushed for a direct answer.

I thought  Jessel looked lovely,  no need to grill her on what she had done. Not after the HUGE lips etc on other shows.

Why would  Brynn watch  the show just before  the reunion, she looked  puffy and weepy, and she does add to most stories, and doesn't  care who gets hurt in the process. I wanted  to feel much more than I did.

I don't  know how long ago she was sexually assaulted , does anyone  know.

For personal  reasons,  I volunteered on the rape crisis line, lots of homework,  reading  etc,it really  really  helped me , in turn, I helped  others.

I thought  Erin had a beautiful  pregnancy  glow, and Raquel  and Ubah looked great. Sai is a little fighter,  and straight  to the point!

I’m glad they held Brynn accountable for her disgusting behavior.  She did a lot more than stir the pot.  She blatantly started false rumors. She brings up the assault as an excuse and starts crying on command.
Of course Raquel hasn’t seen her mom. They are not close and Raquel does not give a shit. It was a story and a way to gain sympathy.
Erin’s dress and color was ugly. She acted like Abe betrayed her when it sounds like he was bailing them out of a financial problem brought on by her.

I got the feeling that Erin doesn’t believe that Brynn was assaulted but knows better than to say it aloud.  She brought up a good point asking Brynn why didn’t she report it and stop this guy from doing it to someone else.

Erin bothered me with how forceful she was saying that. Unless you've been there, you can't know the shame of it.   You just want to wipe it from your mind, wipe any trace off your body, get passed it as quickly as possible, so everything can be normal again.  Someone who is shaken to their core and in disbelief and fear doesn't need to also be made to feel guilty. They already do. Victims of sexual assault blame themselves. Telling them: now, other women will suffer because of you! Just re-victimizes them. Brynn is a liar, but I believe she was assaulted.  However, she's been weaponizing her pain to make others look bad since last season.  That's messed up. Girl needs mad therapy. She acts like a middle schooler.

I desperately want to believe her...however, that's the problem with repeated liars, it's hard to know when they're telling the truth.

Erin wasn't shaming Brynn, she was (rightfully) sharing how important reporting it could be to help save another woman from the same experience. I thought they all showed a lot of grace for her in that moment, including Andy.

Not even a Sai fan but I like how she's being with liar Brynn. Brynn is so fake & the whole love of your life story actually being about craziest hookup is a pretty crazy lie. That is way different. Brynn needs to go. She keeps doing something with her jaw too that makes it point out weird & she looks ridiculous.

At least Pavit isn't fake & just apologizing to Sai. She insinuated some pretty shitty things about him.

Erin's dress is making her face yellow. I feel sad for her tho with her dad's death tho. That was sad to watch.

Oh yay psycho Ubah is coming to freak out in part 2 ugh.

Brynn & Ubah need to not be a part of next season.

It might save someone else but having seen what women go through when they do report it, it rarely works out for the woman.  The are rarely believed and too much time has passed in this instance.  No rape kit.

The problem with being as much of a liar as Brynn has been shown to be is that she simply can't be believed for anything she says.

I do believe in data rape as being a major issue but I also am having a hard time not being cynical about Brynn conveniently revealing it AND weaponizing it at a critical moment.

ETA And I think most of the women share my skepticism regarding her allegations. However they are too canny to actually go on record as not believing her.

And how in hell does Erin come off as some feminist heroine for justifying an abortion for herself but supporting policies denying them to other women.

Brynn dodges questions - puts on fake tears whenever confronted by any "inconvenient" question or truth.

And she managed to dodge Sai's asking exactly how she did earn her living with a non-answer. Her "stated" occupation is a "marketing and communications consultant" which is word salad for a "non-job". The arena is small enough so that these women would know exactly what companies or events she has worked on

Okay, since I made such a big deal in the finale episode thread not understanding why everyone was so upset at Brynn when they seemingly all lie, I feel like I need to make a formal proclamation that I get it now. The way they snipped the instances together and had Jessel explain how hurt she and Pavit were about the “love of her life” being someone else, I can see why they’re upset that Brynn twists things seemingly for no reason and without any thought for how it will impact others. It’s one thing to lie to deflect or protect yourself or something, like Erin telling Jessel that it was Sai and Brynn trash talking her when she was, too. But Brynn puts out seemingly innocuous details about people that seem silly on their own, and thus not outrageous enough not to be believable, but when all strung together shows that she’s trying to embarrass people. I’m still not letting Ubah off the hook for her tirades, lol, but I can see why they don’t trust what comes out of Brynn’s mouth.

Was Jenna kidding about returning the robe?

It's hard to tell.  If she had it "on loan" from Balenciaga, then, yeah, she may have planned on returning it.  Jenna does seem to be very smart with her money and how she spends it.  I think Jenna's very savvy - if she negotiated a deal with the designer, why not?

I thought it was pretty low of Brynn to comment that she "paid for" her schmata (I don't know what else to call it).  That was something that looked like she found it in a vintage shop that had just got a shipment from Phyllis Diller's estate.  I didn't get "Zsa Zsa Gabor" vibes from that ugly thing.

It was definitely a shmatta - no other word would describe it accurately as in Brynn wore a feathered glittery shmatta to the reunion - and one would know exactly how ridiculous it was.

I think that Balenciaga lent it to her because they knew it would become a statement and the brands lend clothing in order to get a write up all the time - that's the point.

And lending a $1500 bathrobe to Jenna for the reunion where the clothing is widely discussed would definitely be a real "get" for the brand's PR person.

Balenciaga will no doubt give it to Andy to be hung in the Clubhouse because it is more than worth it for that kind of enduring PR.

And who is in the market for a used bathrobe - however high the price tag might be?

I agree. Ideally the guy would be behind bars, but sexual assault is not an easy thing to report, and a lot of victims are scared of reporting because these guys are such monsters.

The problem though is that this framing makes Brynn responsible for not stopping it from happening to someone else. The only person responsible is the rapist, and it was really bothersome that Erin was faulting Brynn for a potential rape of another woman. Even if she secretly thinks Brynn is lying, she's smart enough to know there are plenty of women sitting at home watching this show, who for many reasons may have not reported their rapes and are bearing the brunt of Erin's misguided words. It's the same reason I think it's irresponsible to discuss the validity of Brynn's rape (unless direct, contradictory evidence comes out). There's no upside with unmeasurable downside to perpetuating the message that you won't believed.

I was upset that pregnant with her 4th child, Erin, and other moms Raquel and Jenna and Sai talking about how easy it is to fertilize an egg and get your baby. As someone who went through years of fertility treatments and never got her baby, I was so angry about that. I can't tell you how many times I was told to just relax and have "a lot of fun". It was so insensitive, especially with Jessel sitting there who talked last season about her infertility struggles, including multiple rounds of IVF. Erin and Sai are such know-it-alls.

The same people who stood in line to buy JFL's second hand clothes!

I meant value to Balenciaga as they can't really sell it in their store as a new garment.

It isn't "worth" $1500 to Balenciaga as it has limited value to them at this point.

Wholesale was no more than 50% and actual cost of materials - I am assuming this was Terry cloth and not cashmere would have been relatively low and certainly this didn't require exquisite tailoring by artisans.

I wasn’t impressed by the bathrobe. I know she’s being funny and wanted to top her jeans from last year but the thing looks like her boobs could fall out any moment.

That seems to be Jenna's signature. lol I didn't think I'd like her because her style gave me the impression that she might be this obnoxious attention seeker, but she's probably the most soft and sweet in the cast.

I love that she doesn’t scream but speaks kindly and makes sense. She told Brynn that she needed to apologize without making any excuses for her behavior.

Yes all season she jutted her whole jaw out and looked weird, now she’s jutting out her chin, and looks awful.  Did she get a chin implant?

Brynn never sits up straight. She’s always kind of laying back in her chair with her head tilted and her stupid jaw jutted it out.

I don't think the intent is to embarrass so much as to simply diminish others in the eyes of others.

Brynn's whole gameplay triggers some still strong memories from my youth when one member of my friends group behaved in the same manner.  She was everyone's friend until she was apart from them when it seemed she felt it her job to crap on them and make them look bad for reasons known only to her.  It was sick.  It was dangerous.  To this day I'm not sure if she did it to make herself look better or if she did it just because she could.

It wasn't fun watching Brynn whiplash from poor, unfortunate victim to making snide remarks such as she did in reference to Jesel's glow up.  If she told me water was wet I would have trouble believing her.

I've never been particularly fond of Sai, but I did love her looking Brynn in the eye and asking just what it is she does for a living.

What gives anybody the right to crap on Jessel? First, Brynn and her cronies Sai and Erin bond over collectively trash talking Jessel and seem to delight in mocking everything about her.

Now, it seems shitbag Andy Cohen has jumped onboard with his protracted inquisition of Jessel's cosmetic work. She doesn't really look any different besides the haircut to me (people have pointed out the veneers, I missed that). I haven't seen Andy do the same with other ladies from other franchises, when clearly Kyle Richards has an entirely different face than when she started. I think he needs to retire from hosting duties because he cannot manage to hide his blatant biases anymore.

I agree. She seems very sensitive to and careful of others’ feelings.

I think Jenna explained that her genetic disorder, incontinentia pigmenti, affects most of her skin, but does not affect the area from her neck to her lower abdomen, and that’s why she likes to expose it.

quote:

Jenna showed off her arms and hands in the episode, and shared her chest is not impacted by the disorder, which is “why it’s often on display,” with open button-down shirts.

I don't think Jessel looks drastically different either. I wouldn't have noticed half the stuff if it hadn't been brought up and thought the inquiries when too far. I agree Kyle looks night and day from when she started RHOBH and don't recall her being grilled the way Jessel was. I think he did out her breast reduction though!

Not to get too OT, but I recently watched the season 1 Potomac reunion, and Andy repeatedly asked shady questions about the women being jealous of Ashley because she's young and beautiful and if Gizelle is jealous Ashley is prettier. There was this implication the rest of the cast was a bunch of hags. I thought the questions showed Andy's biases too. IDK if her personality is always pretty, but Gizelle is breathtakingly gorgeous. I couldn't believe the implication that she would be jealous of any other cast member's looks.
