Shannon is many negative things, but she is not a complete idiot. I have to imagine that she knows Tamra is not a true friend, (and if she doesn’t, she sincerely needs some sort of cognitive work-up).

That said, she’s on a show with Tamra and it’s her job to film with her. Shannon’s options are 1) to go against Tamra (which is not for the faint of heart and Shannon definitely doesn’t have the constitution for it) or 2) pretend she still thinks of Tamra as a good friend. I do think she legitimately DID think of Tamra as a good friend previously, but it doesn’t appear that Shannon has confided in Tamra for a while. 
 

I’d say there’s an option #3, which is just to cordially co-exist with Tamra, but that option doesn’t appear to be a reality on this show, where you’re either warring with someone or “working on moving forward in your friendship.”

(Option #4 is to leave the show entirely, and this is by far the best option for Shannon, but she will never take it.)

One HW: "Other HW, I need to address something. It's been eating at me for the last 2 days. At last week's charity event, you told me that you loved the purse I was using that night, you even asked me where I got it from in case you wanted to get one for yourself. But now I'm hearing from some of the other women that you thought my purse was the ugliest *** you've ever seen me carry. Why? I thought we agreed to move on from our past disagreements and start fresh. Why are you telling me one thing and the other women something behind my back? I haven't done anything to you since we made up to deserve such venom directed at me."

Other HW: "What are you talking about? I never said those things!"

Editing flashback showing Other HW saying those things to 3 other HWs.

One HW in confessional: 'What is wrong with that girl? Telling people my accessories suck? Who does that? She has got to deranged."

One HW and Other HW continue fighting over that issue for at least the next 7 episodes.

I was thinking about the dinner party again and how Eddie was trying to control Tamra's drinking. I'll bet it happens a lot. It's interesting, because at first I thought it would be about Emily. I heard her order two or three drinks. For those who haven't seen it yet, take a close look at Tamra's face during the dinner. She has that slackening of expression people get when they are really drunk. She is looking around kind of vacantly at a few points, as if she can't get her bearings. I could also hear slurring or a thickening of her speech. 

The woman was toasted! No wonder Eddie was concerned. He saw the train barreling down the track, and it commenced with Tamra's shrieking. She was also really drunk during the party scene last week and the shenanigans with Katie's butt. You don't do that stuff when you're sober.

I think Tamra has her own issues with alcohol that she'd rather not discuss, so she focuses on Shannon and her DUI. Kind of reminds me of Dorinda gloating to Luann on NYC that she'd never had a mug shot. Maybe not Dorinda, but you're drunk all the time.

I think she was either talking to herself or to Archie. The cameras were on at Tamra's house and picked up on the but call from Shannon when Tamra answered the call. They were on to make Shannon look unhinged.  Mission accomplished.

I truly feel sorry for Jenn. Yes she’s a grown adult woman who should take agency and control over her life, but for whatever reason cannot. Her upbringing and first husband did a real number on her I feel. She seems so sweet and willing to forgive, some may call it vapid and dumb, but I just think she’s a genuinely kind person. A kind person with horrible taste in men and friends. When she was pleading with Eddie to rein in Tamra, that was very telling. 
Speaking of Eddie, man he looked rough and 100% checked out. He may still love Tamra, but his love for the Bravo machine is OVER. 
Speaking of Tamra, I don’t know if this whole persona we see on TV is an act or what. I am ashamed to say I have listened to the podcast she does with Teddie and it’s like listening to a whole different person. She has her niche on the show - rabid possum on a dumpster - it’s brought her attention and good money, and she’s sticking with it regardless and instead of aging into something else. She may indeed be the real actress of the bunch, take that Heather Paige Kent Dubrow.

Am I imagining this or did Tamra help Simon during his recent bout with cancer, bringing him meals and even keeping it from Eddie?  She said all ill will was gone.  Now she is attacking him again and saying she hates him.  What a flip flopper.  She is so super sensitive to anyone commenting on her parenting but she goes all out and says he is a terrible father.  However, it does not seem that her children all agree on who the bad parent might be.  (Tamara is crude and disgusting no wonder they don't want anything to do with her. Anyone who urinates on my pool deck can't take the high moral ground on anything.)  She is just the epitome of someone who can dish it out but can't take it.  She always acts like it is ok to  attack other people but when they respond she plays the victim.

Few, if any, of the women on these shows are comfortable being alone. It’s sad for them that they have never learned the joys of being solo or developing a circle of true friends. It’s always about finding the next man and being bereft without one.

I think most of these women do have a true circle of friends...it just isn't with the other HWs as a group. They're just co-workers. I think in many cases the rel friends of the HWs just don't want to appear on the show, hence when they are filming, if it isn't with the other HWs, they will be alone.

There have been exceptions as we have seen some of these women with their "real" friends, like Kandi and Sheree from Atlanta, Ramona (as much of a wackadoodle as she is) from New York, Sutton from BH, etc.

As far as finding a man...well, that part is true. It doesn't help when the other HWs always seem to weaponize that as something to use against whoever they are arguing with ("Well at least I have a man!").

Yes. She probably doesn't realize that what she is using to help her depression is actually increasing her depression. 

Different situation but I have a friend whose husband died 18 months ago. She has said that even though they had a bad marriage, she still misses him. She says loneliness is her biggest issue. She's had a really hard time grappling with it, even though she has friends and activities. She is dating a guy now she met online. He has several narcissistic traits which trouble me, and she's kind of lost herself in this guy. It's sad to watch, but I believe she thinks it's better to be with someone who is controlling than by herself. She is in her 60s and hasn't lived alone for over 40 years. 

I wonder if Shannon will adjust or if she will continue picking men who don't treat her well.

Oh no!  I don't think it was your intention but please do not equate the uber talented actor Matthew Perry with these shallow, ridiculous famewhores. 

But to continue the point about fame, Katie has a good husband and kids. She has plenty of money.   She HAS  a measurably good life by all outside views.    Fame itself isn't going to improve any of that.  In fact, we've seen HW fame destroy marriages and families.  However, I agree with your point (if this is your point)  that something is broken in people signing up for fame for fame's sake.

I actually felt for Terry for once, especially when he was getting henpecked off camera. That was a legitimate use of plastic surgery. I understand why he didn’t want Paul doing it…just like with real estate, you don’t want a friend doing something like this.

Again with the fashion choices. Gina’s getup would look better in denim. It looks like she’s wearing armor. Tamra looked like she was wearing coffee filters.

That's pretty much what she implied. Heather should have read her mind and torn out the tag or replaced it, given she knows how hard Emily has worked to lose weight.

It's slightly ridiculous. All the clothes they were wearing were pretty blah and basic, and I guess that is the schtick for the clothes line-- basics. Heather should have had more than one person wearing jeans though.

For the sake of argument, I think it is totally plausible that Emily was shocked at the Model Size 12 label because her every day normal clothes were lower than a Size 12.

Let's say that Emily used to be a normal size 12. After losing a bunch of weight through diet, drugs, and exercise she got down to a normal size 8 at the time of the Charity Event.

I have experienced higher priced garments having a lower dress size than similarly styled cheaper garments. So knowing that not all designers size their clothes the same, it is understandable that the models had to send their measurements to Heather - not their sizes.  

In that instance I can understand Emily's freakout when seeing the size 12 tag and insisting she isn't a size 12. If Heather is really the savvy business woman she claims to be, she should have listened to Emily and made sure the clothes were sized properly for retail sales. Because no one will be buying basics in sizes larger than their other garments...

It touches me how pets always seem to know when you’re hurting. Archie cuddling up to her was 😢💔. Shannon, Archie is all you need right now. He is such a sweet boy. 

She really has nowhere, and nobody, to turn to. I can’t think of anyone in that group I would trust, and you should have friends you can rely on when you’re going through something like that. She really can’t turn to her kids, either, because they’re kids and shouldn’t carry that burden.

Emily is just really self-conscious about her weight right now. She lost a ton and is working out, but she can’t help comparing herself to the stick figures next to her. She probably looks at them and sees herself as still overweight. She also doesn’t see that her body structure is basically different.

The divorce is not "finished" because the ex doesn't want it over. She's making Travis' relationship with Gina a central part of the divorce proceeding. Gina is aware of that, which is why she feels bad, but she also knows she wants her kids protected from the crazy.

There is no bloody way in hell that Emily is a size 10. As I say every week, she needs therapy and stop comparing herself to the other ladies. She's a big-boned woman and tall, to boot. I'm tired of her whining about her body every week.
